    Beautiful yard with huge trees

Location location location close to all the attractions and restaurants, best place to stay on the Keys! Resort is beautiful with Banyan trees surrounding the villas, so peaceful yet in the middle of the action, highly recommended!!

We have stayed at The Banyan a number of times over the past 15 years and have always enjoyed it. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we bought a week five years ago. The location cannot be beat. It is one block off Duval st and within walking distance of everything. If you fly into Key West airport, resist the urge to rent a car and just take a cab from the airport. The complex consists of six- 1800s era homes which have been turned into one and two bedroom timeshares/suites. Each room is a bit different due to the existing architecture. We've stayed in a two bedroom unit, a one bedroom unit and a unit with a sleeping loft and enjoyed each one. Depending on the unit's location, traffic noise can be a bit loud and the ever present "time challenged" roosters who crow day and night are an annoying bit of local flavor. The landscaping is absolutely gorgeous. You really feel like you are in a tropical paradise. There are two smallish pools and a tiki bar. They never seem to feel overly crowded. The tiki bar has free coffee for the early risers. Parking is a challenge. They have a couple of small lots on site (where timeshare owners get first dibs) and an overflow lot a block or so away. I've parked in both with no problem. Parking is paid but hey, it's Key West. Parking is a horror everywhere in Old Town. I have always found the housekeeping staff to be accommodating. The housekeeping terms are clearly spelled out in advance. Heck, they even wash and fold your laundry for $6.00 per load. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can rent bicycles on site for $25 per week and the staff is full of tips on activities and restaurants. The towel/key deposits are a bit annoying. However, given the areas "party town" reputation and the college students that surge in a couple of times a year, I guess I understand why they do it. Rates are pretty reasonable given the average lodging cost in the Keys. If you are two couples traveling together, try for a 2 bedroom unit and share costs. That make sit down right reasonable. It's great to have a living room and kitchen to hang out in. As the Governator says, I'll be back...

My wife has been coming here for years and brought me for my first time this year. These are apartment style rooms, which is great since we were able to cook for ourselves a couple times! The proximity to Duval Street and all of the downtown area is amazing. We rented bikes for the week and that was all we needed! The staff was friendly and helpful, and they kept the grounds clean daily. Would highly recommend. This resort also has a really cool history of you're into it!

This is the perfect place! I couldn't even try to find anything wrong..... The location, the ambiance with the trees, the nice updated rooms, the cute little bar, the secluded pool, the staff, the price.... If I could give it 10 stars I would! I live in south Florida and this made me feel like I was in another world. Vacation spot for sure..... I will DEFINITELY be back! Love this place! Happy is an understatement ... I feel blessed and thankful..... So glad I found this place!(-; PARADISE= Banyon Resort!

Very nice place, especially if you need a Multiple bed option. The staff is very nice and the property is well cared for. We stayed in a 1 bedroom that offered a mini kitchen, dinette and a living room with a pull out bed. Additional amenities: Two pools (1 adult only) and a hot tub plus a tiki bar. Off-street parking for $25/day. The positive and the minus was the location. Great location for walking to Duval but woke up at all hours due to our location facing the street.

Location, location, location! The Banyan resort is in the heart of Key West and walking distance to EVERYTHING! The hotel is charming with wrap around white porches, beautiful lush foliage, intimate pools, shaded flowery walkways and cool front desk staff. We stayed in a one bed room apartment and it was HUGE! We had a full and functional kitchen, living room with pull out couch (which was super uncomfortable), comfy bed and spacious bathroom. We even had our own private wrap around porch and pool! We only shared the pool with 3 other apartments which was NICE! Our little Key West home away from home was perfect! One of the downfalls is that there is no front desk or house keeping staff after 11PM and parking being $20... But hey it's Key west and everywhere charges for parking. The Banyan Resort is a timeshare so the resort gives priority on property parking to time share owners and then non-timeshare guests. We did not have a timeshare but arrived at noon and were able to park on site. So I guess the key is arriving early to get a spot! Get the ultimate Key West experience and live like a resident in the Conch Republic and stay at the Banyan Resort. It is absolutely wonderful and a nice change from the typical chain hotel experience!

The Banyan Resort is amazing. It's our last day here and we're enjoying it poolside. Very friendly staff and a chill environment.

Breakfast selection is good, but if you are used to complementary breakfast through the Marriott status, then you are only offered eggs, bacon, granola, and toast. Sadly the bacon was stale (we were one of the first, if not the very first to order breakfast, so it being completely cold and stale tells me it's not from today). We asked for coffee at breakfast and were pointed to the coffee station on the front end of the bar. Just drip coffee, nothing special. No milk, alternatives or honey, just cream, sugar and stevia. That part could be improved for it being about $400-$500/night. The room itself is decorated well and clean. Plantation shutters look great, but they do let in light in the morning since hotel doesn't have any curtains. Walls are thin as we heard the phone ring, but turns out it was our neighbor.

It was late night and there was not much available. Miraculously, this place ended up our final destination after 4 of us were on our phones for literally at least an hour. We ended getting to the place nearly 10:30 pm. The staff was AMAZING!! The place was beautiful with a location right in view of the water. The rooms we got were impeccable. Crisp white sheets, fluffy white towels, plenty of bottled water in the mini fridge. Poolside, they offered cool individually wrapped facial towels, sunblock, sunglasses wiping cloths, and much more. Their restaurant was ocean facing and very nice. We ate breakfast there 2 days in a row and it was wonderful. The only issue was our beautiful view was blocked by cruise ships on both days. The ships were there until nearly 4 pm... that part was definitely not good planning for the view. But for watching sunsets after they were gone... ohhh my goodness. All in all, a fabulous place, sensational customer service and respect. But do expect it to be on the pricier side... well worth every penny.

On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. The room had a serious cockroach infestation. We found cockroaches inside our Stanley cups, throughout the living room area, in the bathroom, and even crawling out of the room phone. After reporting the issue, there was no real solution or accommodation provided that made us feel safe or comfortable staying there -- especially while traveling with our baby. We ultimately had to leave the hotel at 1:30 in the morning with our infant because we could not continue staying in those conditions. The property itself is beautiful and the location is great, but none of that matters when basic cleanliness, sanitation, and guest safety are not being maintained. For the price point and reputation of Casa Marina, this experience was shocking. Management seriously needs to address the pest control and guest service issues at this property. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

The room was much larger than we expected with a large living room area with desk and mini fridge full of different drinks, with more drinks of all types on top, with a variety of snacks! The bedroom was also large, with a large closet and a VERY comfortable bed in a room that darkened to allow us to sleep in one day. Both rooms had TV's if you wanted to unwind with different show types. The bathroom was gorgeous with separated dual vanities so no spousal battles getting ready, a separate water closet (also helps avoid battles :) ) , and a huge shower with a great dual shower head fixture including rain shower. Given the propensity for high temperatures in FL, the AC in this place was great and ceiling fans kept the room as cold as you wanted. The pool areas were little botanical wonders full of great foliage, comfortable lounge chairs and just gorgeous serene surroundings. There were usually only a few adults there so it was a quite paradise to go read a book in the shade, lay out in the sun, swim or just relax. I'm not much of a pool guy, but even I enjoyed our time at this one. The lobby area is really cool with a refreshed vintage house and vintage furniture and decor. We ate at the cafe one day for breakfast and got great service and a pretty good meal. The staff was mostly friendly with a few more mellow younger folks, but some really nice housekeeping staff who joked with us! The only issue I could see is potentially the parking. We got lucky and found some on street spots but if not, I couldn't tell if they had enough parking and it's a little pricey at $30/night.
