Hidden little gem of a hotel. What can I say? After a terrible night sleeping at another hotel, we decided to try to find our piece of happiness here in Key West before we were to return home. Little did we know, we'd stumble onto this place. We checked out of our previous hotel, so we were technically homeless. However, I found a last minute deal at The Marquesa Hotel and I was rewarded! Please, go! Visit!!! From the quaintness of the hotel itself, the perfectly acquainted rooms, you are transformed when you walk out to the pool deck. You can either warm yourself in the heated pool or take a quick dip in their cooling pool. You will immediately find yourself basking in the peace and tranquillity of this place as this is an adult-only place. I can't wait to return, I think this time, it will be a girls only trip. Sorry Hubby Love truly, Bougie Girls Travel Too (Fe)

Have been going to key west for over 20 years and had never stayed here before. Booked through Susie at Key West Key Inc. who I usually use for my accommodations, especially when it's last minute or finding something is tricky. Paid for the standard room but because they weren't sold out, Alex, who checked us in, upgraded us to a poolside room upstairs. It was lovely. Immaculate, high end, but cozy. Had a gorgeous bathroom that was super modern while still feeling "historical". Outside deck Sitting area that was shared with neighbor, although we got lucky because no one was in that room. Pools were beautiful...one really cold, which was nice for the heat, and the other was heated. Grounds are gorgeous.

One of my favorite hotels in the country! We had a lovely pool side room with a patio. Alex helped us to our room and answered every question we had. A lovely and private property on a busy island. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I stayed at the hotel several nights and it was a lovely experience, the staff was very friendly and helpful very accommodating, there was also a fat cat that hangs around there super cute. Also only a block or two away from Duval st. The dinner experience was fantastic as well while the price is steep it is definitely worth every penny the flavor palate was excellent you can tell the waiters and the chef/ kitchen are well trained and caring. Overall great experience very calming and relaxing will be returning!

Amazing experience. From the ambience of the hotel to the exceptional service. The Marquesa had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere which was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street. We got to know the staff very well. Bryan was amazing. He gave us perfect recommendations and was above and beyond accommodating with everything. The room service continental breakfast is a must. They serve it right to your patio where you can sit out in a robe and enjoy your morning coffee. We will definitely be returning next time in Key West.

Hubs and I stayed here for a week, while in Key West! We get one vacay a year, so we want luxury and a 5 star experience. All of the reviews and research allowed the choice for The Marquesa to be the most obvious one. Hands down, best place to stay in Key West, if you are wanting privacy, quiet, and no kids. Everything was top notch, from our check in, arranging of reservations and services, as well as housekeeping. The place is immaculate! The surroundings are very quaint, shut off from the craze of Duval, but close enough to it should you want to partake. The premises has private, sheltered parking, bike rentals, two pools (one heated, one not), water and tea available pool side all day, along with fresh towels. Not worth the deduction of a star, but it should be noted that the walls are pretty thin. Luckily, nothing crazy was going on with our neighbor patrons while we were in our room, but we did have to call the concierge to ask them to tell the folks to turn their TV down in the middle of the night. They took care of it, with no prob! We will definitely be coming back on our next stay in Key West!

My partner and I recently spent three nights at The Marquesa Hotel. This was our second stay at the hotel. We stayed at their newer 4-1-4 property the first time and we stayed at the original hotel the second time. The hotel is traditional and 4-1-4 is more modern. While the original hotel has its charms, we greatly prefer the 4-1-4 property. During this visit, we stayed in a standard room. While the room was small, we did have a large balcony overlooking Fleming Street (which was noisy during the day, but perfect for a happy hour cocktail). We stayed in a balcony deluxe room during our first visit and it was much larger (and had a better assortment of snacks!). If we stay again, we'll make a point of reserving a room at the 4-1-4 property. The complimentary coffee is nice in the morning. The wall of orchids near one of the swimming pools is lovely. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant (which we dined at during our first visit) is classic and good (but not good enough to justify entrees over $50). The Marquesa Hotel is a very nice hotel, but I had an epiphany during this visit. I will no longer stay in a room if the bathroom isn't at least as nice as our master bathroom.

By this time we were way too full for dessert, but we had an amazing dinner and time at Cafe Marquesa.

Property does not have one consistent vibe, but it is closest attributed to South Beach/modern. Rooftop bar has live music in the evening and good drinks while overlooking Duval street. Breakfast selection is good, but if you are used to complementary breakfast through the Marriott status, then you are only offered eggs, bacon, granola, and toast. Sadly the bacon was stale (we were one of the first, if not the very first to order breakfast, so it being completely cold and stale tells me it's not from today). We asked for coffee at breakfast and were pointed to the coffee station on the front end of the bar. Just drip coffee, nothing special. No milk, alternatives or honey, just cream, sugar and stevia. That part could be improved for it being about $400-$500/night. The room itself is decorated well and clean. Plantation shutters look great, but they do let in light in the morning since hotel doesn't have any curtains. Walls are thin as we heard the phone ring, but turns out it was our neighbor.

We haven't stayed here although the place looks awesome. Rooms open to the pool…read more We just stop at the bar, which is really cool looking. Stylish! But then they showed us their rooftop bar (live music!) that overlooks Duvall St. so now that's our go to spot to drink and people watch. See you there!

I like that I received a text from them early on our check in day and asked when we'd be arriving. We were a little early but our room was ready when we arrived. The lady working the front desk was very nice and check in was quick and easy. The guys working valet are top notch. They were quick and friendly. Even when I forgot to get something from the car and needed it again. I walked to it, but they offered to get it. The cleaning staff was friendly when we saw them in the hallways also. We book a King Pool view room and it was clean and spacious. It has a small fridge, coffee maker with pods, a pull out couch and 2 chairs at the desk, and a tv. The bed was firm but comfortable and the pillows were nice. The only thing I could see is the at the hallways of floor 2 needed some patching and paint at a few areas. We will definitely come here again on our next trip, soon.

After I checked in and tried to get my kiddos situated in the lobby with our luggage so I could go self-park the car I finally got his attention by him calling out "hey, can you move your car?" To which I replied "As soon as I'm done doing what I'm doing. And for the record, I tried to ask you where to park and you ignored me and walked away so... sorry, not sorry?"

The property is filled with hammocks and tree swings, perfect places to drink your FREE coffee or tea from the lobby every morning. You know what I loved more than all the free beverages (lol)? The fact that we visited in the middle of summer and didn't get bit by a single mosquito! How is that even possible in Florida during summer??? They must spray & have mosquito repelling plants. Or super powers. Our room was cute and clean. We got the standard room (no upgrades) after the Hyatt screwed up our reservation and we were scrambling to find accommodations last minute. But ya know what?! This place was so much better! I can't rave enough about Eden House. We are definitely staying here when we come back!

***Buyer Beware*** This hotel is a scam. They advertise…read morerooms with queen size beds that are clearly full size at best. I actually measured the bed and it was far smaller. On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. Theres barely enough space between the bed and wall to walking into the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. Do not stay at this hotel. The "queen room" is basically just a hostel at hotel prices. $260 a night in my case.
