If you are coming to Key West and want a place that's close to the action yet feels quaint and quiet. This is your place. The lobby feels inviting and warm. They had fresh water and a welcome sangria as I checked in. *They have daily coffee in the morning and cookies and iced tea in the afternoon. The only thing missing is a happy hour with wine and cheese! I spent a lot of time trying to find the right room (online). Without being there, it was hard to choose. I chose a poolside room (shared balcony). I was given room 3 and I loved it. :) There is plenty of room for two people. The bed was so comfy and the pillows were perfect. They have complimentary water (2 bottles) in your room. They have a mini fridge and options to buy snacks and liquor. They have fruit infused water next to the pool daily. You will stay hydrated. There is an honor bar next to the water; which has a few pricy options for a beer or other canned beverages. I did see plenty of people have their own drinks poolside. So, outside drinks are allowed at the pool...but no glass. They have two pools. I preferred the pool towards the back. There are lush beautiful plants all around you and you'll often see little lizards scurrying by the pool. They did not have a late checkout for my room but they were nice enough to hold my bags and have use of the pool while I waited for my friends to arrive. I would stay here again but during high season, the rooms get expensive. I loved room 3 but would love to someday stay in the cute cabin looking rooms up behind the pool. They have a covered porch, sitting room m, and a large bathroom. Overall, the service was solid. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, the bed was amazing, and the pools were a lovely respite from the crowded streets and heat of the city. read more

What a fantastic place! We were looking for a "non hotel" experience for this trip and just loved the luxury boutique feel of the Marquesa! It was a relaxing Oasis just two blocks from the hustle and bustle of Duvall, allowing you to partake in all the day and night activities, but then escape back to your quiet, peaceful place to unwind! The room was much larger than we expected with a large living room area with desk and mini fridge full of different drinks, with more drinks of all types on top, with a variety of snacks! The bedroom was also large, with a large closet and a VERY comfortable bed in a room that darkened to allow us to sleep in one day. Both rooms had TV's if you wanted to unwind with different show types. The bathroom was gorgeous with separated dual vanities so no spousal battles getting ready, a separate water closet (also helps avoid battles :) ) , and a huge shower with a great dual shower head fixture including rain shower. Given the propensity for high temperatures in FL, the AC in this place was great and ceiling fans kept the room as cold as you wanted. The pool areas were little botanical wonders full of great foliage, comfortable lounge chairs and just gorgeous serene surroundings. There were usually only a few adults there so it was a quite paradise to go read a book in the shade, lay out in the sun, swim or just relax. I'm not much of a pool guy, but even I enjoyed our time at this one. The lobby area is really cool with a refreshed vintage house and vintage furniture and decor. We ate at the cafe one day for breakfast and got great service and a pretty good meal. The staff was mostly friendly with a few more mellow younger folks, but some really nice housekeeping staff who joked with us! The only issue I could see is potentially the parking. We got lucky and found some on street spots but if not, I couldn't tell if they had enough parking and it's a little pricey at $30/night. This kind of quality doesn't come cheap, but we will absolutely splurge and stay here again if we return to Key West and have already told others about it! read more

Had to request for some hand towels, none was left after the room was cleaned up in the morning., we had to go to the main building to get good wi-fi. 100% be back again! We came to Marquesa Hotel based on our love for Cafe Marquesa and we enjoyed our stay. Smooth, quick check-in and a Porter to help bring our bags to our second floor room. The hotel is in great shape and has a relaxing ambiance. The room was clean and decorated in a unique, tasteful Key West charm sort of way. It had all of the essentials in the room. Do not miss the iced tea and key lime cookies by Chef Laurence! The staff was amazing. Front desk, Porter, and housekeeping (I don't know official titles but to me it was just Team Marquesa). They went out of their way to make it a special trip for us by going above with a gift for our anniversary and by getting us a few things that were not required but greatly appreciated! read more

This hotel is stunning. I moved to the Marquesa after nonstop issues at the Casa Marina. I stayed in a Bahamas Suite in the newer building for 5 nights and I loved every minute of it. It was tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and very relaxing. The service I had here was extraordinary. The hotel staff, in particular the front desk, were wonderfully accommodating and helpful. Shout out to Keith and Claudia for their exemplary service. I loved the Cafe, the pool, the fountains, the coffee service, everything. I would go back next year and stay for 2 weeks. This may not have the amenities of a 5 star, but the service I had here was better than any 5 star I've stayed in. read more

Beautiful, immaculate and charming hotel in the heart of Old Town. Like staying in an old house in the Caribbean. The staff, especially Drew, were very helpful. Hidden little gem of a hotel. What can I say? After a terrible night sleeping at another hotel, we decided to try to find our piece of happiness here in Key West before we were to return home. Little did we know, we'd stumble onto this place. We checked out of our previous hotel, so we were technically homeless. However, I found a last minute deal at The Marquesa Hotel and I was rewarded! Please, go! Visit!!! From the quaintness of the hotel itself, the perfectly acquainted rooms, you are transformed when you walk out to the pool deck. You can either warm yourself in the heated pool or take a quick dip in their cooling pool. You will immediately find yourself basking in the peace and tranquillity of this place as this is an adult-only place. I can't wait to return, I think this time, it will be a girls only trip. The Marquesa is a beautiful property with friendly and accommodating service along with an incredible attention to detail. The pools and chairs are perfect for lounging and spending the day where you are surrounded by beautiful trees, plants and flowers. When I booked the hotel I originally thought we had a first floor poolside room being thrown off by the number (112), but this was in fact a room on the second floor. I was a little disappointed because I really wanted to just walk out of my room and be near the pool. I asked if anything could be done and they easily were able to provide us with a first floor room. I was very happy considering it was a busy week during the end of high season with many other states having spring break from school. The rooms are nicely appointed. We had a large king sized bed and a large bathroom. As I said I appreciate attention to detail, for example the flat screen tv in room was recessed into the wall to avoid accidentally bumping into it when you walk by the bed. Although I don't think we turned it on once I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the design which reminded me of high end items you would get from Restoration Hardware - solid and classic! My minor gripe would be the water pressure in the shower was not as strong as I would have liked, but it was good enough. The Marquesa enjoys a privileged location on a quiet corner just a block or so from all the action of Duval St, not far from Mallory Square and Ft Zachary Taylor State Park. Everything was walk-able with so many shopping and dining options nearby. Now throw in free parking in a covered garage as well- you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in all of Key West. read more

Have been going to key west for over 20 years and had never stayed here before. Booked through Susie at Key West Key Inc. who I usually use for my accommodations, especially when it's last minute or finding something is tricky. Paid for the standard room but because they weren't sold out, Alex, who checked us in, upgraded us to a poolside room upstairs. It was lovely. Immaculate, high end, but cozy. Had a gorgeous bathroom that was super modern while still feeling "historical". Outside deck Sitting area that was shared with neighbor, although we got lucky because no one was in that room. Pools were beautiful...one really cold, which was nice for the heat, and the other was heated. Grounds are gorgeous. read more

Also only a block or two away from Duval st. The dinner experience was fantastic as well while the price is steep it is definitely worth every penny the flavor palate was excellent you can tell the waiters and the chef/ kitchen are well trained and caring. Had such a wonderful candlelit dinner with a waiter/restaurant manager that gave us the best recommendations. It is a bit off the beaten path - and down a quite street. The dining room is in an old home - and exuded charm. You can't go wrong with the Austrailian rack of lamb. And definitely finish the wonderful dinner off with the deconstructed key lime napolean dessert. I still crave that! There is a reason why this is rated the number one restaurant in Key West. Amazing experience. From the ambience of the hotel to the exceptional service. The Marquesa had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere which was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street. We got to know the staff very well. Bryan was amazing. He gave us perfect recommendations and was above and beyond accommodating with everything. The room service continental breakfast is a must. Hubs and I stayed here for a week, while in Key West! We get one vacay a year, so we want luxury and a 5 star experience. All of the reviews and research allowed the choice for The Marquesa to be the most obvious one. Hands down, best place to stay in Key West, if you are wanting privacy, quiet, and no kids. Everything was top notch, from our check in, arranging of reservations and services, as well as housekeeping. The place is immaculate! The surroundings are very quaint, shut off from the craze of Duval, but close enough to it should you want to partake. The premises has private, sheltered parking, bike rentals, two pools (one heated, one not), water and tea available pool side all day, along with fresh towels. Not worth the deduction of a star, but it should be noted that the walls are pretty thin. Luckily, nothing crazy was going on with our neighbor patrons while we were in our room, but we did have to call the concierge to ask them to tell the folks to turn their TV down in the middle of the night. They took care of it, with no prob! We will definitely be coming back on our next stay in Key West! read more

My partner and I recently spent three nights at The Marquesa Hotel. This was our second stay at the hotel. We stayed at their newer 4-1-4 property the first time and we stayed at the original hotel the second time. The hotel is traditional and 4-1-4 is more modern. While the original hotel has its charms, we greatly prefer the 4-1-4 property. During this visit, we stayed in a standard room. While the room was small, we did have a large balcony overlooking Fleming Street (which was noisy during the day, but perfect for a happy hour cocktail). We stayed in a balcony deluxe room during our first visit and it was much larger (and had a better assortment of snacks!). If we stay again, we'll make a point of reserving a room at the 4-1-4 property. The complimentary coffee is nice in the morning. The wall of orchids near one of the swimming pools is lovely. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant (which we dined at during our first visit) is classic and good (but not good enough to justify entrees over $50). The Marquesa Hotel is a very nice hotel, but I had an epiphany during this visit. I will no longer stay in a room if the bathroom isn't at least as nice as our master bathroom. read more

I have stayed in fine hotels for years and this is certainly one of the best. It appears to be a collection of old houses encircling the two pools (one heated and one not we were told), but some of the buildings may be new. Who cares? It is beautifully maintained and the staff is attentive, but not in the way. I like the covered parking and the security at night. Our room was on the second floor up a pretty steep and long set of stairs. After a long day of sightseeing, they were a slow climb for this aging body! If you have trouble with stairs you need to be sure what you are getting as many, if not most, of the rooms require some climbing. The room was nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and a large well-appointed bath. The highlight for us was the lovely porch where we had breakfast brought each morning. The breakfast is a continental one, but with a good selection. $10 + 20% service was reasonable to me. The server brought it exactly on time each day, too, and didn't hang around for a tip. In fact, he acted as though it wasn't expected as did all the employees though I did on several occasions. Turndown service is provided and when you ask for it at 8 PM, you can set your watch by the promptness. The porch was also good for cocktail time before dinner. As one who can best be described, and rightly so, as dysmorphic, I didn't venture poolwards, but they are lovely to look at. Towels are provided and you can have your breakfast delivered poolside as well. I highly recommend the Marquesa if you are looking for quiet luxury in Key West. read more

I am hovering between 4 and 5 stars. Our room was fine, large enough and enough options for sitting and putting away clothes. However, the desk was small and piled with wine glasses and a basket of food offerings (for sale). There were few places to move these items because so many of them were in glass. No worries, I'm a champ at organizing, so I put everything in the little space next to the mini-fridge. Still, it was annoying. They need to find another place for this crap that I wouldn't buy anyway. When I saw the open door of the same exact room layout on the same floor, that room was far more cheerful and bright with green-striped curtains. Our room had ugly, heavy, yellow drapes. Ick, but certainly not in bad repair, so just a matter of taste. There were some lovely furniture pieces. 2 large closets and a window sitting area as well where we could yet pile more clothes. The mattress was great (firm and big and a nice headboard) except for the horrendous pillows. They feel dense and heavy like they are stuffed with brick and straw, neither keeping their shape but also having no "give." As previously mentioned, when you turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night, the light shines right onto the bed. Not great for a light sleeper. I didn't have too much trouble with traffic noise as I kept the "fan" setting on continuously. Wifi was okay, mostly we got reception as needed. The absolute best thing about this place are the incredible central pools and plantings. Gorgeous and comfortable. We used the warm pool every day as it was quite cool during our stay (Jan 25-31). The only day the cool pool was appropriate got away from us, but we often dipped our toes in after walking around town. The hotel is located perfectly to walk/bike either to Duvall or to explore more quiet and charming areas of KW. Some cute shops and a local grocery are nearby. A very fine antiques store is across the street, not my style, but high end and unusual stuff. Desk staff bordered on rude to puzzling. Wow, they need to up their kindness quotient. 2 different men were particularly sharp and flippant when answering questions. I overheard this behavior more than once with other guests. SHAPE THE EFF UP! For $450 and up a night, this was the most unacceptable thing (with the pillows coming in a close second). I agree with another reviewer about the coffee. How about having the option of coffee all day and inside the area of the parlor downstairs which no guests ever use? The coffee was gone by 10:30 am daily. Not great for late sleepers. Oh, also a huge disappointment--no options for recycling on site, which I find shocking and irresponsible and actually, disgusting, but sadly, seems right in line with Florida's attitude toward making anything locally or truly changing its ways to preserve the environment. BTW, Not one item in the mini-fridge or food basket is local. NOT ONE. The key lime cookies NOT MADE IN FLORIDA. Things made in New England and Tennessee. Farther up the keys, we noticed a brand of seltzer that is local, but this $450/night place carries NESTLE products. Nestle is evil. Get rid of all of those waters. Nestle, of Flint water stealing and paying-off-politicians fame. Of baby-formula fame way back in the 1960s and 70s. Reprehensible. Every single water option in the fridge was made my Nestle. Between the no recycling and Nestle products, it makes the inn seem uninformed. Are they? In spite of these minor details, I loved this place and would stay here again. The pool area, stunning flowers, trees, bromeliads, as well as the location, cannot be beat. The room was perfectly comfortable and easy. read more

We are staying for a week in February. We booked a deluxe king as that was what was available. It is pricey but based upon reviews we thought we would try it. Staff are wonderful, housekeeping spectacular, room is decent size with a small sitting area. Individual thermostat controls and ceiling fans keeps the room comfortable. Unfortunately the bathroom is tiny with door opening directly from bedroom, with bathroom light shining bright & direct into bed. A dimmer switch seems to have been missed. The noise from the street continues all night long. Scooters, motorcycles and cars. Screeching tires and booming radios all make sleep impossible. A noise reduction zone as the hotel is located in a residential area seems viable. The speed limit is 25 yet it doesn't seem to matter. Additionally the fire department is located close to the hotel, so that is an added bonus of sirens all night. Work requires emails and although wifi is 'free' it is never obtainable. Three wifi portals and none work. Ideally working from the room is better than Starbucks but not to be. I understand the hotel has attempted to remedy by adding portals but if other hotels can provide high speed wifi for all guests, logically it can happen here. Additionally, coffee is offered outside in a community setting near the pool in the morning. No coffee is offered in room which frankly after not sleeping really is an annoyance. Overall not impressed for the price. read more

My husband and I loved this place. We spent Thanksgiving here and it was the perfect spot. The staff is just amazing! The recommended places to eat, shows to attend, etc. I did not think hotels gave turn down service anymore, but they do here. It is such a nice touch to get back to your room in the evening and your lamp has been turned and they have closed the drapes for you, as well as turned down your bed. It is a very quiet place with no children. Lying by the pool is very relaxing and they have refreshments in the afternoon. I cannot wait to come back! read more

We also loved being close to all of the Key West highlights yet tucked away in a quiet side street for sleeping. I only wish there were a few more perks like breakfast or happy hour for the price we paid. But I would recommend staying here. read more

A wonderful boutique hotel in downtown Key West just two blocks from Duvall Street, but seemingly a world away while by the pool or on your balcony overlooking the flowering trees. The main building has the lobby & the restaurant. The rooms are in several other buildings of the same architecture. It's a historic building but it has been updated so that the bathrooms & rooms have the comforts & amenities of a high end hotel. The pool is heated so we were able to take several dips when visiting during a cold week in January. The staff was very friendly. They also have a very active Instagram account if you're interested in following them online. They post photos of the hotel, pool & restaurant but also beautiful photos of the Keys in general. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights from February 2nd through the 5th. Based on our review of this hotel on its website we felt that we would justify the high cost of the room by the perceived great customer service, setting and general ambiance. Upon arriving at the hotel we were met by a friendly front desk person who was able to let us check into our room 2 hours early which was a treat. Our heavy luggage was carried up to our 3rd floor room - #16. A great start to our stay. The grounds of the Marquesa are quite stunning. We felt like we were in a tropical paradise with the beautiful dense foliage. Two beautiful swimming pools greeted us. There was a nice quiet place to eat breakfast and just sit and read in the many lounge chairs one could choose from. After this initial good first impression things started to head downhill. Our room was on the top floor and there were severely slanted ceilings in the bedroom and bathroom. I am not a tall man but I managed to hit my head at least twice a day due to the layout of the ceiling. The separate living room was quite nice with a higher ceiling but I had to be on alert in the other rooms while I was walking around. During the rest of our stay I rarely saw anyone at the front desk. The staff usually sat behind closed doors and I had to knock on that door several times during our stay to ask for help with various things. I got the impression they didn't want to be bothered. And there were times when we asked for help from the staff and they just stared at us. This was not the friendly vibe we experienced upon arrival. When we were getting ready to check out I started taking our suitcases downstairs. There was a staff member right near our room and he never even offered to help with our luggage. Then, when we were checking out, the manager, I believe, handed me my bill and she never asked me how our stay was. I felt as if the hotel's behavior was that they were doing us a favor letting us stay there. In summary, the property is stunning. My wife and I were unimpressed with the customer service. And, in no way was our stay worth anywhere near the cost of what we paid for our room (approx. $560/night). We will eat at the Cafe Marquesa again, which is located next door to the hotel. This restaurant was fabulous! But we will never stay at this hotel again nor would we ever recommend it to our friends heading to Key West for vacation. This restaurant was top of our list to visit in Key West, it seems to get mentioned in every guidebook and blog going. Sadly we were very disappointed. The food was below average. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with udon noodles. The majority of the noodles were burnt and the flavour was just an overwhelming taste of saltiness. There was no subtlety or depth to the dish. I would have accepted this, maybe been happy with a dish like this for $15 but NOT for $36.00!!! My husband ordered the scallops with risotto. I think it's safe to say the risotto was inedible. Too much truffle oil and cheese. The scallops were flavourless and rubbery. We were really excited about The Marquesa but left dispirited and disappointed, especially for the prices. read more

We love unique boutique hotels. We booked this place sight unseen based on Yelp reviews. As we drove to the neighborhood we were a bit apprehensive. It is in a renovation process as many older homes are being converted into small hotels. We we entered the lobby all of our worries disappeared. Daniel got us checked in and when he showed us our room he said, welcome home. That exactly how it feels here. We chose Cafe Marquesa to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. What an excellent choice. Without exaggeration, it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Chef Susan Ferry's food was better than competent, if not excellent, and the service was sublime. My wife had the goat cheese arugula salad and the sea scallops with seasonal vegetables and pumpkin risotto. I had the pot-stickers and the mahi-mahi with sesame noodles. I forget what she had for desert; I had the Napoleon "answer to Key lime pie." I have never before encountered such genuinely knowledgeable, skilled, and committed waitstaff. Knowing it was our anniversary and babymoon, they had decorated the table for us and we ready with suggestions for virgin drinks for my 6-months-pregnant wife. Went here last Saturday with the bf to celebrate my birthday after reading the rave reviews online and hearing good things from the locals. They had decorated our table with birthday confetti and ribbon- super cute and considerate! The ambiance was exactly what I was hoping for- not too fancy to be stuffy and just small enough to feel intimate. We ordered martinis to start- bf got a vodka martini with creamy blue cheese stuffed olives. Awesome! We ordered the same drink at A&B lobster the night before and there was no comparison. I ordered the cranberry vanilla rose' martini and it was perfectly balanced between sour from the cranberry and a sweet finish from the vanilla and the rose' rounded it out. Awesome start to a meal but unfortunately everything went down from there... We ordered the tea smoked quail for an appetizer- the best thing we ate that night. Smoky but not overpowering- really all it needed was a pinch of salt to make if perfect. It paired well with the pickled radishes, cucumbers, and micro green salad that it came with. There are a bunch of other appetizers I would have liked to try- a couple with foie gras or mushrooms in particular- but the bf isn't a fan of either.. For the main course, I ordered the phyllo dough wrapped snapper. The fish was cooked well but I didn't care for the combination of flavored when you ate the phyllo crust on the fish with the "sauce" on the bottom. The "sauce" was basically a bouillabaisse soup. The crust on the fish was delicious by itself with the dill seasoning- it just didn't taste right when you ate everything altogether. Bf got the Asian inspired mahi mahi with udon noodles- really only okay. Both needed a pinch of salt. Maybe we should have ordered lamb or duck for our entrees, but when I am by the ocean, I crave fish! And I expect any fine dining restaurant like this to nail their two seafood dishes on the menu. Not my fave meal during our trip to key west, although I would recommend this place for their martinis and maybe the apps too. read more

The Marquesa Hotel is a really beautiful property designed for those that want to lounge around the pool all day long. Our room was beautiful, and the staff was very helpful. However, if you are planning on spending your days in Key West doing activities, you may not be at the hotel enough to enjoy the privacy and relaxation that it has to offer. There are some downsides to the hotel that are worth mentioning. We found the Marquesa through the Select Registry, which is all about Bed and Breakfast's. However, the Marquesa isn't a B&B, as it does not serve breakfast. You can order room service and get a continental breakfast for $10 per person, but it is definitely not a B&B. With a full restaurant attached, it could be a wonderful B&B. Given the price, it really should be a real B&B. There are some other minor issues, such as the wi-fi is unfriendly to iOS devices (so much for the iPad) and the toilet paper is the cheapest they could find. While neither of these are huge issues, it wouldn't be too difficult to fix them. One of the great aspects of the hotel is the staff. They are very friendly and make and effort to great you on your way in and out of the hotel. They also are very willing to make recommendations and to make reservations for a wide range of activities. It really give you the pampered feeling. I'm not sure if we would stay here again. There are many real B&B's around that look interesting. We've enjoyed our stay here and are happy vacationers. read more

The dumplins: tasted good at first, but the aftertaste was pure pepper. The only saving grace was the Blue Cheese Martini. I feel violated and would never come here again. read more

The wife and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and with us being foodies I tried to find the best restaurant with great drinks/wine list. After dining at Cafe Marquesa I think I hit the jackpot. The service was excellent and I'm sad to leave. Drinks: Key Lime Tini- their version of a key lime martini. It was spectacular. The wife absolutely loved it. MUST order. Highly recommended. Glasses of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon- both were great. Food: Seafood Potstickers: served with kim chee and seaweed salad. I am not sure what seafood was inside these babies, but they were absolutely delicious and one of the best potstickers i've ever tried. Housemade kim chee was awesome too. Highly recommended! Truffle Sacchetti: served with duck confit and foie gras. Being from CA anytime i see foie on a menu i always order it no matter what. This was the first time i've tasted sacchetti, which is a pasta stuffed with ricotta mixture. It was extremely good. There was like a delicious sauce that included the duck confit and foie gras. If they offer this when you're here, it's a MUST order! Conch Bisque with Grilled Shrimp: Hands down this was the best soup my wife and i have ever tasted and my wife hates soup haha. Highly recommended! Coconut Almond Crusted Mahi-Mahi: served with udon noodles, stir-fry vegetables and a mango-miso sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly. The sauce was absolutely divine and made this often awesome dish, the best in class. I am still thinking about this dish days after. MUST order if available! Grilled Black Angus Filet Mignon: served with a bleu cheese crust, asaparagus, heirloom carrots, brandy peppercorn sauce and Boursin mashed potatoes. The filet was a tad over-cooked, as i ordered it medium rare and it came out more medium, but it was still amazing nonetheless. Beyond tender. Great flavors. The Boursin mashed potatoes were some of the best i've had and were positively unique. Highly recommended. By this time we were way too full for dessert, but we had an amazing dinner and time at Cafe Marquesa. We highly recommend this restaurant for foodie type people. I overheard the staff being really flexible with menu items as well. so if you see something on a menu from a prior day, but not on a current menu, just ask.... they can probably assist you in getting what you want. read more

I just returned from a week long stay at the Marquesa and I was incredibly impressed with it. Everything here is first rate. The service from all the employees - from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the concerige - was incredible. They were able to arrange all sorts of tours, activities and even get us reservations at the best restaurants on the Key. More than this though, everyone was always very happy to help. It's one thing to provide these services but it's quite another to do so with a smile. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just two blocks off of Duval Street and within easy walking/biking distance to anything you could want on the Island. The rooms were cleaned with a professionalism and thoroughness I have never seen before. Do yourself a favor and stay nowhere else during your visit to Key West. read more

My husband and I have stayed at boutique style hotels before but this is one of the best. From the moment we walked into the lobby until the time we checked out, the staff was very attentive and amazingly helpful! The site is beautiful and very well maintained. Onsite parking was a huge plus and the clearance on the covered parking was high enough to accommodate my large vehicle which is unusual in city so I was quite pleased that I didn't have to park on the street. Hotel is located about 2 blocks away from the hustle and bustle of Duval St. so everything is within walking distance. However, once at the hotel, whether in our room or sitting by the pool, we never heard any commotion from the busy downtown area. The pool area was like our very own oasis, so quiet and peaceful! We will definitely be staying at The Marquesa again! read more
