    Orchids by the pool

Second time here, this is the place my wife and I stay. It's a small hotel but that's better I think. They have a little bar for drinks at night by the pool. Very friendly staff, no complaints about anything. The real appeal of this place is the location. It is right on Duval street very close to the Hemingway house. Duval street is where you want to be in key west. My wife and I didn't rent a car so this location was important to us. Everything that is worth seeing is within walking distance. There is a CVS like 500 feet away to get supplies and Duval has great restaurants everywhere. Just walking from one end of Duval to the other is enough to keep you busy all day. The butterfly house is close by, the Hemingway house, and plenty of places to get an icy alcoholic drink. After you are tired from eating and walking and seeing all the sights it's worth it to be close to your bed! You can come back to the hotel and then just have a drink by the pool.

    Sunset pier is beautiful

Perfect location, awesome staff, clean nice rooms, the only place I'll stay when in Key West. The breakfast is healthy and delicious! Located just a few blocks from the ocean and 0 mile marker buoy, Hemingway House, light house, and more!

This was one of the best mini-vacay I've had post COVID. We were greeted by Kat with a big smile that set the tone for the whole experience. Thank you, Kat, for being so wonderful. You made our 29th anniversary so special! It's a cozy boutique hotel with all the amenities needed, and the best part was the personal service. Can't wait to go back!

This was parked in front of our room all day each day of our 5 night stay.

While a fun, little "upscale motel", this is not luxury. The very small guest room was clean and well kept, but I had a housekeeping cart in front of my door daily while they cleaned the entire corridor. Really? You have to park in front of a guest room all morning? She was however very friendly and smiled each time we saw her. Continental Breakfast is bountiful, but pedestrian and did not seem to vary much during our 5 night stay. Manager should address staff not eating from it and feed them elsewhere. The bar was disappointing. Your long term bartenders cater to their local friends and whoop up quite a party every night, but hotel guests can never get a bar stool and feel like the outsiders to their private event. Every. Single. Night. You may also want to audit the cash handling and "comp drinks for buddies" going on with your camera system. Lastly, giving up any hope of being able to enjoy your bar, I bought some nice bottles of wine to enjoy by the pool and these same cocky bartenders were snarky about helping me open and borrow glasses....please remind them what we pay per night to stay there. Trudy and the Front Desk team were terrific. Warm greetings, fond farewells and helpful with tourist questions.

All I can say is WOW!!! I am convinced that this Inn made our first trip to Key West thee best ever. The staff is so accommodating, so friendly. I cannot say enough about them. Always smiling. Always helpful. The rooms are beautiful. The Complimentary breakfast is awesome and served by an amazing woman who when watched appears to be Super Woman. She was getting drinks, keeping food ready & available, restocking anything low & making sure tables were cleared for the next guest. The atmosphere here was so chill and luxe. We truly truly enjoyed our time here. Oh and the location is

With the reopening, we are back for the first time. The place is nicely kept during our absence. The parking fee is now $20 per day including charging our Tesla @ 30A/hr (full charge from near empty is about 7 hours). We stayed at one of the suites. There is a large window that opens (although there is no view, only the wooden fence).

The Orchid is adults only, which as stressed parents we very much needed! There is a peaceful secluded pool area, that is cozy and and beautiful. Comfy soft robes, and lovely rooms. While the Inn is nice, the staff is absolutely amazing. While we were here we had two people tend bar for us. Peter was kind and accommodating, and offered kind late night conversations. Tip him well, he deserves it! The second, was Alex on our last day. His personality was amazing and we ended up sampling a new liquor after just having casual conversation with him. We absolutely adore the staff here, and will come back for their kindness alone. The beautiful decor was a plus

Orchid Key sits on the corner of Duval and Truman which is an absolutely perfect location if you're looking to be close enough, but far enough.... The first thing I noticed were the beautiful orchids everywhere on the property, they were absolutely breathtaking! The rooms were tastefully decorated and spotless upon checkin. The property was clean and there is a small bar on site with a mixologist who creates great adult beverages. Very hard to find a hotel that deserves five stars in KW... great job!

From the outside it looks just like a motel but once you step inside it is like a romantic oasis. From the friendly staff to the beautiful rooms, it was relaxing. We stayed here from Aug 9th to Aug 11th and Cindy at the front desk took extra care of us. The complimentary champagne for our special occasion was a very nice gesture as well. The bar was modernized with sweet bartender. Terry is very upbeat and friendly. The breakfast was continental style and decent enough. The grounds were clean and rooms were impeccable but I agree very small. Then again we did not really stay in our rooms. The pool and jacuzzi was a relaxing spot to hang out at during the night for us since key west temperture this time of year is hot and night time was cooler. Overall a very nice stay. We plan to come back again.

Pool area, there is an onsite bar for mixed drinks, beer, wine, and soda. Quiet place to hang with friends and chat.

Awesome boutique hotel located on the corner of Duval and Truman. Staff super friendly, amenities fit the property, bonus on the Tesla destination charger. They also have onsite bicycle rental which is recommended so you can park the car, charge, and still rapidly get anywhere on the "old town" side of key west easily and quickly. The bonus of being on Duval is that you can go out on the town and can still manage to stumble back to the hotel with minimal effort.

A super cute motel style place with a real 1950's vibe. The bar area overlooks a pool and gorgeous hot tub area. The bar is in a tiny little air conditioned building, you could almost miss it. The bartender turned up the music for us and we lounged and dipped into the pool and hot tub which was amazing.

Property does not have one consistent vibe, but it is closest attributed to South Beach/modern. Rooftop bar has live music in the evening and good drinks while overlooking Duval street. Breakfast selection is good, but if you are used to complementary breakfast through the Marriott status, then you are only offered eggs, bacon, granola, and toast. Sadly the bacon was stale (we were one of the first, if not the very first to order breakfast, so it being completely cold and stale tells me it's not from today). We asked for coffee at breakfast and were pointed to the coffee station on the front end of the bar. Just drip coffee, nothing special. No milk, alternatives or honey, just cream, sugar and stevia. That part could be improved for it being about $400-$500/night. The room itself is decorated well and clean. Plantation shutters look great, but they do let in light in the morning since hotel doesn't have any curtains. Walls are thin as we heard the phone ring, but turns out it was our neighbor.

It was late night and there was not much available. Miraculously, this place ended up our final destination after 4 of us were on our phones for literally at least an hour. We ended getting to the place nearly 10:30 pm. The staff was AMAZING!! The place was beautiful with a location right in view of the water. The rooms we got were impeccable. Crisp white sheets, fluffy white towels, plenty of bottled water in the mini fridge. Poolside, they offered cool individually wrapped facial towels, sunblock, sunglasses wiping cloths, and much more. Their restaurant was ocean facing and very nice. We ate breakfast there 2 days in a row and it was wonderful. The only issue was our beautiful view was blocked by cruise ships on both days. The ships were there until nearly 4 pm... that part was definitely not good planning for the view. But for watching sunsets after they were gone... ohhh my goodness. All in all, a fabulous place, sensational customer service and respect. But do expect it to be on the pricier side... well worth every penny.

The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. We ultimately had to leave the hotel at 1:30 in the morning with our infant because we could not continue staying in those conditions. The bedroom was also large, with a large closet and a VERY comfortable bed in a room that darkened to allow us to sleep in one day. Both rooms had TV's if you wanted to unwind with different show types. The bathroom was gorgeous with separated dual vanities so no spousal battles getting ready, a separate water closet (also helps avoid battles :) ) , and a huge shower with a great dual shower head fixture including rain shower. Given the propensity for high temperatures in FL, the AC in this place was great and ceiling fans kept the room as cold as you wanted. The pool areas were little botanical wonders full of great foliage, comfortable lounge chairs and just gorgeous serene surroundings. There were usually only a few adults there so it was a quite paradise to go read a book in the shade, lay out in the sun, swim or just relax.
