This is the second time staying here and it love it. First off, the amenities.....Keurig coffee machine, decent size refrigerator, microwave, sitting area. The room is spacious and we have a private patio with table and chairs. There isxa nice continental breakfast daily as well as a happy hour which includes snacks. Almond Tree Inn is a clean, well maintained, premium bed and breakfast in heart of Key West with an über professional and thorough staff. We stayed for three nights in October 2025. We booked this establishment months in advance, which is probably necessary, as we wanted a premium and quiet room. Arrival was easy. Of note, unlike most establishments in Key West, they have a dedicated and paved adjacent parking lot. As we arrived just a little later than planned due to plenty of rain on our route, the Inn called and checked our arrival time and kept afternoon snacks and drinks available. We were walked to our room after an easy check in and shown the highlights of our room. A basic, but premium , continental serve yourself breakfast was provided every morning. Also, every late afternoon snacks and happy hour was present. Pro tip - try the house made sangria! The amenities and comforts of the room were great. The bed was comfortable with several pillows and premium sheets. The room was cleaned thoroughly daily with fresh towels provided. The A/C is the older type wall model with some noise; but actually nice white noise, and it worked really well. Make no mistake; Key West is hot and humid, you'll be loving the A/C. The toiletries were nice and plentiful. The shower and upgraded spa tub were absolutely perfect. There is a little fridge, wet bar and Keurig with several K cups, cream and sugar. Two blocks away is the historic Hemingway House and Key West Lighthouse. Also, a great Cuban cafe is a block away. A CVS is nearby for emergency purchases. Numerous restaurants and shops are nearby. We parked our SUV and walked everywhere during our stay. One day we got a trolley ticket for the further sights such as The Southernmost Point. Lastly but not least. The staff are extremely professional, knowledgeable and willing to assist. Huge kudos especially to Danny who was absolutely stellar as he assisted and served us numerous times. In addition to Danny, Cary was also a notable benefit to us and this wonderful lodge. Lastly, kudos to our housekeeper as she was very thorough and came and went daily with perfect timing. Next time we visit Key West in the Free State of Florida we will only consider Almond Tree Inn! read more

Our second time staying here and just as good as the first time. Less than a block of Duval street but you'd never know it. Quiet with a good pool. They have a continental breakfast every morning and a happy hour in the evening. The staff is attentive and helpful. The rooms are well appointed with great linens, stocked Keurig coffee makers and large refrigerators. Bicycles are avail for rent. We rented them and went to the Fort Zachary Taylor beach. It's a great beach and only $2.50 a price. We love it there. read more

I booked this place strictly on the location and the reviews on Yelp. Well, it actually exceeded my expectations. Checking in I was escorted to my room to show me exactly where it was. Coming back for the happy hour to enjoy a glass of wine on the house, the person that checked me in called me by name. Yes, the person, since I forgot his name... The room itself was spotless. It felt 100% new and everything was in working order. Parking, housekeeping, etc, were all easy...well, beyond easy, they had a personal touch to them. Also, the location is just off Duval so you are close to the craziness without being in it. Leaving? Keep the car there as long as you want. Use the bathroom. Coming back? This is the place you want to stay at. Adults only. Me and my boyfriend knew we were going to check in late, so we called to make sure that would be fine. Cary was super sweet and helpful he even stayed late to check us in himself. As soon as we got there he greeted with a smile and complimentary champagne for our long drive. He then walked us to our room. Passing the green gate it was like we teleported to the most beautiful tropical place on earth. They managed to make it feel like a resort in the middle of downtown. So much greenery everywhere. On top of that? A heated pool. And a hot tub. All within 2 steps of our room. Our room, was crispy clean. It looked like they had just bought everything brand new and decorated our room with it. I'm serious. I've never seen glass doors like the ones in the bathroom THAT clean. Everything about our room/ the location/ and the amenities was impeccable and perfection. I have high standards and this place absolutely blew me away. Highly recommend this place! It looks small from outside, but the way they remodeled and decorated the inside makes it look bigger than it looks from the outside. They pay attention to details. They even had small, refreshments and snacks at the front entrance when you check in. They also give you a voucher for a happy hour drink. There is a swimming pool and hot tub. You are walking distance to the main street where there are a lot of restaurants and clubs/bars so you won't have to worry about parking since you can walk. The price for this place was reasonable compared to some of the other places. read more

This is a GREAT boutique property - 1/2 block off of Duval and centrally located, yet quiet and quaint. the staff are exceptional. We were originally booked at their sister property, the Orchid Key Inn, but there was some issue with that reservation we made online through a third party. The management called us right away, upgraded us to a suite at the Almond Tree Inn, and were SUPER friendly and helpful. Having never stayed at either, we were fine with moving across the street, and they certainly didn't have to upgrade us, but we appreciated it. Upon arrival, the staff went out of their way, knew us by name when we walked in (it's a small boutique property), gave us a complimentary drink at happy hour, and made us feel like long-time family. We loved it! Room was fantastic, bed was comfy, pool and grounds are beautiful, and the happy hour and complimentary breakfast were nice amenities. Guests mingled with one another like old friends. We would highly recommend and definitely go back to support this wonderful, small independent hotel!! read more

The Almond Tree Inn exceeded our expectations! Booked based on its convenient location, it was that and more. The proximity to all of the Old Town Key West activities allows you to walk anywhere from the hotel. The room was very spacious and exceptionally clean. This inn is spectacular, if I could give it 10 stars I would give it 11. Spent a perfect weekend here with my husband. Extremely clean accommodations and property. Everybody was so nice and helpful. Rodolfo was fantastic and his happy hour drinks were amazing! This hotel is located in a perfect location as well, you can walk to almost any of the good restaurants and bars nearby and the rooms are extremely quiet at night. Amazing place, ranked #1 in Key West by another large review site. Just around the corner from the action of Duval Street but our room, a spa suite tucked in the far corner of the first floor, was so quiet. Everything from day one to our dreaded departure was top notch. The pool is amazing, with a small waterfall that drowns out any street noise. The pool deck is very small but has plenty of loungers and even with a couple people playing the towel reservation game, I didn't have a problem finding a seat. Many 1st floor guests have covered patios with seats and a direct view of the pool, so a lot of them would sit there. There is a patio with a couple high tops and small dining tables for the included breakfast and happy hour (nightly drink coupon for one included beverage). I see some groups stay here but it is very much a couples type resort, small and quiet, adults only. The toiletries, towels, (deep bathtub in spa suite only) were all amazing and you will want to spend more time in your room than out of it! All staff were so, so friendly and most guests being couples wanted to chat a little and were from all over the US and Europe. It was such a nice stay and we will probably return here any time we are drawn to Key West. read more

In this, my 32nd year traveling to Key West, I've found my new home away from home. What a lovely property. KW can get a bit weatherbeaten but the Almond Tree Inn is pristine. The rooms are lovely, the bathrooms are well appointed and the suite's parlor area is spacious and well furnished. The complimentary Happy Hours and nice continental breakfasts are wonderful. The pool area is well laid out with plenty of comfortable chaise lounges for everyone (not the cheep resin ones found in may other hotels). The linens are top quality and the beds are very comfortable. All said, my two stays in July & August were great fun. I was enthralled by the sheer loveliness of the property but much more so by the staff. Trudy and Rodolfo are always there to assure the hotel guests are comfortable and happy. You can see, in the smiles of the entire staff, that they love their jobs and are, therefore, able to provide a great experience for their guests. A big thank you to Arciabell, the loveliest woman, who attended to my room. I'd left in the morning and hadn't any cash on me to leave for a tip. I wrote a small note promising to leave more the next day. I arrived back in the afternoon to see she'd written me back. "Hi Mr. David. Don't worry. It is my pleasure to clean your room. God bless you, I'm off tomorrow" Her note was so sweet. I keep it in my wallet (I know... strange). Thank you all for making my stays so memorable. See you in September! read more

We had an excellent experience at Almond Tree Inn. We were in a premium king suite and it was very large and had everything that we needed, refrigerator, microwave, lots of space, etc. Very comfortable bed and pillows, very clean. They did housekeeping every day without asking. All other hotels pretend they do housekeeping on request "for safety." I think we all know the risk of Covid from someone who is in your room when you are not there, is zero. Very cold AC in the room. They replaced our water bottles and coffee with new ones daily. Location is fabulous on Truman, less than a block from the quieter side of Duval. Great service at the breakfast bar; plenty of choices for healthy or for sweet. You get a free drink every day and you do not need to be there for the happy hour to get it. Excellent service from the staff, Trudy, Dasha, and Michelle were especially great to work with, but everyone, even when we didn't catch their names, were great. Pool area is comfortable with plenty of options for shade, lounge chairs, or upright chairs. We can't wait to go back. read more

From start to finish our experience with The Almond Tree Inn was fantastic. The property is small and quant, so you are treated like family from the time you check in until you (sadly) have to check out. The breakfast is delicious. It's a very special experience with plentiful food and service unlike no other. The employees are as kind and accommodating as possible for breakfast, the daily happy hour, or literally anything you might need. We especially enjoyed meeting Dasha and Carlos. Wrapping up a one week stay. Love this place and will definitely be back. It has 22 rooms which makes it a quiet place and it's only a block from Duvall street. We didn't even use our car because everything that we needed was within a short walk. The room was modern and clean. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. The rooms are nice and the people who work her could not have been nicer. We came in a girls weekend trip and didn't have a reservation but my Hotels.com app showed rooms available. We asked about prices and availability for our needs, we wanted a room with 2 queen beds. They had it available as well as a king. All at better rates than online. We were super early so we walked around and had lunch while they prepared our room. They upgraded us, giving us each our own king room at the same price as the 2 Queen room. The place is so charming and right in the middle of where you want to be for walking around town. read more

We booked at Almond Tree for our stay on Key West due to high ratings, and we were not disappointed. The Inn is located in the heart of the action, right on Duval and Truman. Theres parking available and it's about a 20 min walk from the ferry in case you're traveling light and on foot. The grounds are spectacular. It feels more like tropical bungalows than hotel rooms. Lots of greenery and plantings, lots of shady spots with tables for sitting outside. The pools is clean though it's a bit small and can feel crowded, and right in the middle of where people walk. Our room was artfully decorated and outfitted with fridge, microwave, separate sink from bathroom, and a sitting area (we did get a suite). Agin, it felt more like a cottage than a hotel. Breakfast comes with a generous assortment of treats, and there's drink coupons for happy hour. I suppose there might be a better hotel on key west but I'm not sure how much it could improve upon the Almond Tree. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Prices are on the higher side, but you're paying for quality. And as a bonus, the best Cuban coffee on key west is located literally right across the street! 5* = incredible (rare) 4* = very good/ strong desire to return 3* = generally good experience 2* = poor/ no desire to return 1* = a particularly awful experience read more

We are very familiar with the Keys and Key West specially. Several week long trips per year make it to where we stay focused on quality places to stay. With that said, money is not unlimited. So we have come to find places like Orchid Key Inn and. Now Almond Tree In. That give us the best balance of all factors in Old Town Key West. Those factors are service level, nice rooms, location and price as well. The service here is fantastic, the rooms are spot on and quiet, Old a town location right at Truman and Duval is awesome location and the price for all this is reasonable for what all you get. The owner and management stay very focused on providing a great experience every trip. We feel like family coming to these two properties, same owner and GM. It is such a pleasure to stay here or across at Orchid Key In. And we so look forward to our trips several times a year. I enjoyed my recent 5 night stay here. Friendly staff (Brandon at check in gave a lot of great local recommendations) and clean modern rooms. The overhead shower looks cool but the water pressure was minimal. The pool was nice-we had a room right next to it which was convenient-just wish the water could be a little cooler, but the climate makes that tough! Happy hour is good to have and the breakfast in the morning is as well, but with so many great breakfast choices within a 10 minute walk, tough to pass those up. I don't even know where to start! Our stay at the Almond Tree Inn this week has been nothing short of exceptional! It was very clean, safe & everyone was so nice & hospitable. They take Covid pretty seriously & even poolside they require a mask. I appreciate all the precautions because I'm 5 months pregnant & we came to the Keys for our Babymoon. We first met Shannon when we checked in & she was the sweetest! What I appreciated was she wiped down my credit card & ID before she gave them back to me. She gave us all of the best restaurant recommendations in town & was just a cheerful soul. Bill, Jenna & Trudy were amazing hosts every morning at breakfast. I asked if they would be able to put roses on our bed for our anniversary & they did it beautifully! We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night! Overall, my husband & I felt very safe. This is one of the nicest hotel/Inns that I've stayed in. There's good parking. The best part of the Inn is the rooms themselves - large open rooms, newly refinished. Big bathroom and walk in shower. The inn includes a salt water heated pool, hot tub and there's a koi pond. The woman at the front desk, Dasha, could not have been more accommodating. Everything about this is five stars. One of the best hotels I've been in. It's very quiet considering its location (close to a road with lots of shops). The breakfast was absolutely amazing and had a wide selection. I came for my birthday with a group of friends about a year ago but my experience here stuck with me so much that I had to leave a review. This was a true oasis in the heart of old town Key West. The hotel is right off of Duval Street in the middle away from the crazy end at Mallory Square. So you can walk to everything, but still go back to a peaceful and relaxing day at the pool. The hotel staff is the best part of this place.
