They also charge a 18% mandatory "service charge" and of course another line for the tip. We didn't do dinner here. I hope its better than the breakfast. 2. We booked under The Edge Chase Sapphire Reserve so its $100 property credit and free breakfasts for 2. When you consider "service charges" tips, taxes, and determine what the credit can be used for, it becomes a bit confusing. I know for a fact that laundry is not included, neither is the $50/day valet parking. Sort of an resort advantage to keep the guest guessing. Drinks food, spa i know are included with the $100. The valet guy was cool and informative. Considering the small island size and the cost of everything, this was a great stay. The room and balcony overlooking Malery Square plus the ocean and Sunset Island were fantastic. I have stayed at many locations over the years and this was by far the best. Pegasus on Duval is a dump. Both Hyatts are nice but on east side of the island so transportation becomes an issue. Do you really want to drive close to Duvall....if you can find a space, then pay for parking? This place is 2 blocks from Sloppy Joe's, Hogsbreath, next to Malerly Square and sunset pier. Walking distance to the hot spots at night.

Terrible hotel building with terrible customer service…read more Building is old and consist of few buildings combined. Need to change elevator 2 times to go to your room. Rooms are nicely decorated but not what you expect for $1000 a night. They are way over priced for the quality. Front desk staff is terrible. Don't know how to handle issues which you will have plenty. We didn't have AC 2 out of 3 nights and they didn't even feel bad about it. They said basically it is what it is and we have to deal with it. One night they moved us to another room and they were acting like they were doing us a favor. It was major problem for us. second night they moved us to our room which has broken AC And gave us boxed fan to cool off. Front desk manager is clueless and don't know how to handle issues and he has kids working for him who do not know how to handle anything. They are like teenagers. I would never ever stay there again and warn anyone not to there. Oh you will wake up 5am because of dumpster trucks getting the trash and it takes like 20 min. Another thing is their damn roosters , they start 4am and won't let you sleep. Jesus, it was 3 days of hell!

Even though the hotel was no where being full, very low occupancy, he tried to upsell us to a better room. The lobby air conditioner was also not working properly. The lady in the excursion/gift shop was unfriendly, not informative when we asked a question, like she just didn't want to interact with the resort guests. The coffee shop closes very early, at 1:00 PM. The pool is very very small. Once we got into our room the hotel power went down and everything had to reboot. The TV only has a few stations, and NO local, Key West stations to watch on the tv. Hyatt Centric wants you to download a tv station on your own phone for info about Key West. No things to do book in the room like most places have or room service menu. Pro: The room was nice and cold and spacious. They had clean rooms. And couldn't beat the location. For a very expensive hotel sadly this one missed the mark.

Check-in was busy when we arrived, but the staff remained friendly, patient, and accommodating. We've stayed here several times over the years, including during the renovations, so we've seen the resort through all its phases. It's wonderful to see everything almost completed, and the property looks great. Throughout every visit, the staff has always gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. One thing we've learned is that if you have a special request, just ask , they're happy to help whenever they can. Our two-bedroom suite was perfect for our family. We love the layout and found it incredibly comfortable. While many guests prefer the ocean-view rooms, we actually enjoy them, even with the occasional cruise ship in the harbor. Besides, you're in Key West! Take a walk and explore, you'll find gorgeous ocean views all around the island. The location truly couldn't be better. You're within walking distance of Duval Street, Mallory Square, great restaurants, shopping, and so many Key West attractions. After I checked in and tried to get my kiddos situated in the lobby with our luggage so I could go self-park the car I finally got his attention by him calling out "hey, can you move your car?" To which I replied "As soon as I'm done doing what I'm doing. And for the record, I tried to ask you where to park and you ignored me and walked away so... sorry, not sorry?"

On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. Theres barely enough space between the bed and wall to walking into the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. Do not stay at this hotel. The "queen room" is basically just a hostel at hotel prices. $260 a night in my case.

The property has a bar, café, concierge, and a small restaurant serving breakfast. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. We also enjoyed having pool access. The pool was definitely the highlight. It is saltwater and has separate adults-only and children's sections, which was a huge plus. The pool attendants were wonderful, and the pool manager did an exceptional job. Their service is the main reason I would give this hotel three stars instead of fewer. Unfortunately, housekeeping was very slow. Our room was not serviced until around 4 p.m. most days and was not serviced at all on Sunday. This was especially odd because housekeeping staff could be heard speaking loudly in the hallway very early in the morning. We also had one very uncomfortable experience at the hotel bar. A heavily intoxicated gentleman was yelling racial slurs while another woman played country music loudly from her phone. The bartender was alone, and there did not appear to be any security support nearby. We left immediately. Ironically, we had planned to attempt a little ghost-conjuring of our own one evening, given Key West's spooky reputation, but our plans were quickly interrupted by the very drunk man in the lobby yelling racial slurs. It was certainly not the supernatural encounter we had in mind. The hotel does have beach access, although we avoided the beach because of the significant seaweed issue, which was not the hotel's fault. Overall, Casa Marina has a beautiful pool, comfortable rooms, and a convenient location, but the housekeeping delays and bar incident made the experience feel inconsistent.

We will give Hilton a few more shots but based on this first experience we wouldn't make the change. Obviously this hotel is lovely. Beautifully decorated and appointed. However there were quite a few misses in the rooms themselves that made the stay a little odd. I realize it is a converted military base and they were working within preexisting parameters but even so, had some details just been thought out like at all, it would make for a better customer experience. The bathroom in our room, for example was not humongous, but not small by any means. There was so much wasted space. No towel bar at all despite there being two completely bare walls. So our hand towel and washcloths had to just sit on the counter. Okay, sure, except vanity itself was very small. Like comically small for two adults to share. So once the towel was there and the glued down vanity tray there wasn't really room for anything else. So our toiletries and my makeup ended up on the floor for our stay. Again, not a huge bathroom so that got claustrophobic quickly. The shower was tiny. Like comically small. No wall niche or anything to put our toiletries on so they just sat on the floor - again taking up valuable standing room in a comically cramped shower. Ladies if you have a razor with the gummy bumpers that get stuck to surfaces if not allowed to dry completely - there's not where for that to happen so get ready to have to replace your head when you get home. The shower turns on on the same wall as the shower head and because it's so tiny you have to fully step inside to turn it on so you'll get soaked every time you shower. Make sure you take off your clothing before turning on the shower. Then the towel hook is parallel to the shower head but outside of the shower so you have to fully exit the shower and reach over the toilet to get your towel. So you're cold. Have to clean water off the towel and floor afterwards (but there a perfectly fine bare wall right there...who designed this space?) These are more specific to our room, but our shower door also did not close and left about a half an inch gap. So hot air constantly got out but so did water. Lots and lots of water all over the floor every shower (see photo). The next issue was a metal cut out on the ceiling that was rusting. Like there was dripping rust in one corner. That was a bit alarming and kind of gross honestly. Our vanity mirror was broken on all 4 corners (see photos) I have a feeling it'll just going to fall apart one day soon and someone will have a big complaint about that as it is dangerous. Lastly, remember how I said there no counter space? In one of the times I had to bend over to pick up my products from their bag stored on the floor, I saw the under-mounted sink that had mold growing all over. Cool cool...that's just the bathroom. The room itself is lovely. Beautifully decorated. Truly. But that's where the "luxury" ends. The TV did not work consistently. Sometimes it did. Sometimes it did not. Sometimes the sound & the screen weren't synced. The outlet in my nightstand wasn't attached so when you went to plug anything in it sunk into the drawer and was unreachable for the entire stay. Cool. There are no closets, just a rod with hangers and a bunch of random hooks around the room. Our curtains didn't close all the way so hope you don't plan to sleep in on your vacation because you won't get to if you are light sensitive like me. Not that that mattered because had construction going on that started at 7am...ahh so relaxing. No apology by the way. We upgraded to an ocean view with a balcony. The view was gorgeous. It truly was a great way to start my *all too early* vacation morning, however we had two smokers who were also enjoying their view with cigs and that put a damper on it for us. I don't want to smell your cigs at 7:30 am over coffee. They also added a little clear bannister to the original facade. I imagine this is for modern safety compliance. Cool, however it is not fully attached and created this tiny tunnel where things get trapped. Our balcony alone had some old food trapped in there and it was getting moldy. Because it was clear we could clearly see that and I kind of can't believe no one had taken care of it. That's gross and unsanitary and now two separate places with mold in our room. Do they think the salt from the ocean will carry it and sanitize it? I also had an issue prior to checking in where not one but two staff members were rude to me over the phone while trying to book a luxury dining experience that was not bookable online. Needless to say we skipped that. I have more to say and an additional complaint but this is all Yelp /Google will allow for characters...

And inside the building the decor is keys typical but done so well and the entrance up the stairs is great. I also love that they have a private garage beneath the resort. Once we got our keys, we passed through the pool areas (more than one pool) and it's lovely; so tropical with tons of palm trees and other plants and it's kept so nice. We arrived to our room and was so pleased, so clean and decor made us feel good. As nice as everything was I wanted to go out for the night and the location for this can't be beat. Right by the Bight Marina so we have a lot of restaurants/bars to choose from like Boat House, A&B Lobster, Half Shell Raw Bar and Schooner Wharf and in the morning you're right by Cuban Coffee Queen. Also the location is walkable to Duval Street so you have more restaurants more bars and lots of action.

The shuttle was very comfortable, always on time and the captains were professional. As long as you plan for it, it was never an issue. The property is beautiful, lush and beautifully decorated, with orchids and flowers. We had a 2 bedroom/3 bathroom cottage, it was huge and very comfortable. We also loved Latitudes restaurant, we enjoyed a few breakfasts and dinners there, fantastic food and service. We can't wait to go back!
