    Ham and cheese scramble
    Jadyn M.

This is a counter service restaurant and bakery. I ordered the ham and cheese scramble with potatoes and toast. I did not like that there was just a bunch of cheese melted on top of my eggs and ham, as opposed to being incorporated throughout. My potatoes were not warm when they came out, nor was my toast, so they must have been sitting a while. And I found a hair in my food when I was almost done eating. My spouse said that their biscuits and gravy were gross, with undercooked mushrooms. I don't think I'll be back sadly unless it's to get a pastry.

The food is a bit bland- what we'd call "plain food" at the summer camp I used to work at. That means I need the hot sauce I carry in the glove compartment or just ask for it, along with the salt and pepper. This however, is a godsend for those afflicted with special dietary needs- my person cannot currently handle any oil or spice so this is perfect for them. So , tbh, food might be 3 stars. However- it's loaded w/ vegetarian options and they make their own bread. Also, the ambiance, service and PRICE of this place are worth that extra star- you havn't seen prices like this since 2000. And the open airy, natural wood and plant vibe is straight out of the 1970's. Ditto the open air, come hang out and chill, welcome to the big courtyard. And the super nice friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

    Tasty tuna sandwich.

I can't believe I've never tried this spot before considering how long it's been around! But I stopped in for lunch and I'm glad I did. I'll definitely add it to my rotation for breakfast/lunch. They have a pretty big menu and serve everything all day, which I appreciate. It is also reasonably priced. I got a tuna salad sandwich on toasted wheat bread. It came topped with lettuce and tomato. It was a very classic, solid sandwich and the bread was really good. (I kind of wish it had come with a side.) I also got a mini pecan pie which was so-so. The vibes are very hippie/classic...it just feels so Eugene to me. There is a ton of seating, both inside and outside. It was a nice day so I sat outside and it was a great atmosphere--the outdoor seating area is enclosed behind a fence with lots of nice landscaping so it feels very private and quiet. I enjoyed my relaxed lunch in the sun.

The cutest bakery ever! We stayed in Eugene for a week looking for a rental in the area, and New Day Bakery was only a short walk away from us. We walked over and picked out a few treats (I ordered the mushroom cream cheese pastry, and my partner ordered a bear claw, we split a strawberry cheesecake slice, and ordered an iced chai) and enjoyed them on the outdoor patio with our dog! It was a beautiful start to our day, and Kit was such a kind person who helped us. I would love to come back and visit this bakery again! We also brought back a loaf of their sourdough bread and have all but eaten every slice in the form of sandwiches and toast. I can't wait to come back!

I love this place. For me, definitely a Eugene institution. The turkey soup, the sandwiches. Everything about it. It's nostalgic. And delicious. The price is also right!

Everything's amazing, including the atmosphere. It feels like being home waiting for mom to finish cooking.

The pizzas and salad we had were top tier. Locally sourced ingredients perfectly prepared. I'll be back to try the rest. You order at the counter and pick up your drinks right away. They were really helpful with our questions since it was our first time. someone is bringing the drinks up to you as soon as you order. Within minutes of choosing a table our freshly prepared salad was already there. A few minutes later our pizzas were delivered. Keep note to maybe let the pizza sit a couple minutes because they are piping hot! Even if you aren't hungry, come here for the beers and craft cocktails. There are a lot of great breweries in Eugene and this is one of them. I took the bartenders suggestion and it was really good. Many options in Eugene and this one should be on your list.

However, the crust was way too thin toward the middle of the pizza to even hold the toppings. It just flopped over. It was maybe a mm thick?? Toward the outer half of the circle, the dough was good consistency and quite delicious. The arugula salad was nice. With some orange slices and lots of cubes of beets, pickled red onions and sunflower seeds. Too much oil in the lemon vinaigrette IMO since it all tasted a bit oily. The beers were excellent. Service good (order at counter and they will bring it to you). Parking in the neighborhood, a bit sketchy.

I was enticed by the pictures of fresh salads and wood fired pizzas. We ended up getting a few pizzas, a couple different pastas. They were all so flavorful (not salty) the texture of the gnocchi was so soft and absorbed the flavorful sauce. We were all blown away. We used QR to order, and were advised to order in waves. Drinks first. Everything came out promptly, even though the restaurant was pretty full. The last few days we ate at some incredible restaurants. Cold Springs Tavern in Santa Barbara, Nepenthe in Big Sur, then we come to Osteria DOP and all agreed the food here was unmatched. The best. For driving many hours, I liked that the atmosphere was casual, but it still looked modern and nice.

The pasta was a nice al dente and had a good coat of sauce. Despite the restaurant being fairly busy, the food came relatively quickly! The restaurant has limited tables, so expect a wait! There are also bar seats and seats that face a wall. There are QR codes at tables to scan and place your order, and the waiters that bring/bus food were super friendly. All and all, Osteria DOP was a great experience! I will be back to try out more items from their menu.

The girl who dropped it off was really sweet. Both pizzas smelled amazing and were generous with the toppings. The crust was really good as it had a nice crisp to it. The price point is a bit high in my opinion, but it's kinda worth it. Would I come here again? Yes, but I will have to make sure I have extra funds.

If you've ever wandered the streets of Eugene, Oregon with a little nostalgia in your chest and a…read morehunger in your gut, you already know there are some places that aren't just restaurants they're landmarks of memory. And Track Town Pizza... well, that place doesn't just serve slices it serves time itself. Let me set the scene. I'm posted up at the Hayward Inn, a stone's throw from the sacred ground of Hayward Field. Every visit, no matter how many years pass, there's a ritual: lace up the memories, walk the same streets, and end up right where the legends linger under the warm lights of Track Town Pizza. You walk in, and there he is... Steve Prefontaine... staring down like he never left. Not just a photo more like a reminder. Now here's a little flavor for the soul: Track Town Pizza opened back in the late 1970s, built right in the heartbeat of what folks call "TrackTown USA." It became a hangout for runners, students, dreamers anybody chasing something. And yeah, over the years, plenty of local characters passed through bartenders, staff, regulars who became part of the story. Guys like Steve Fontaine? They weren't just pouring drinks they were part of the era, part of that gritty, analog Eugene vibe. We're talking decades back now roughly 30 to 40 years ago when this place felt like a clubhouse for the track-and-field faithful. But for me, this isn't just history it's personal. When I was younger, I didn't have much... but I could run. And like a lot of kids trying to find their lane in life, I found mine looking up to Prefontaine. The way he pushed, the way he talked "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." That stuck. Still does. So every time I walk into Track Town Pizza, it's not just about grabbing a slice it's like shaking hands with that younger version of myself. The kid who believed grit could take you somewhere. And let me tell you the pizza? Still hits like a victory lap. Old-school, no nonsense, loaded the way it should be. No gimmicks. Just honest, legendary pies that have fed generations of runners and late-night thinkers. So yeah... five stars doesn't even cut it. Because this place isn't just my favorite spot near campus it's a time machine. It's a shrine. It's a reminder that dreams don't die, they just wait for you to come back and visit. And every time I'm in Eugene, I do just that.
