That said, it was always a challenge to get them to use salt instead of chlorine when they would adjust chemicals and clean my pool. No matter how many times I asked, they would forget and continue to use chlorine, which unfortunately was too harsh on my toddler's skin. I made multiple calls about this and reminded the technicians multiple times about this, but I would still get a new technician every six to nine months, and I had to start all over again. The two straws that broke the camel's back were: 1. A 30% increase in monthly pricing 2. A new technician explaining that the reason they can't add salt is because it slows down his route I switched over to Ralphie's Pool Service and am already much, much happier. Ralphie's pricing is significantly less expensive, they bring their own pool salt, and they don't even charge you for the salt. Bishop also charges $300 to clean pool filters compared to $100 with Ralphies. Joel (my technician for the past year at Bishop) was awesome btw.

The staff worked with real craftsmanship and were checking in with me frequently to make sure that the finished product was something we were all proud of. I highly recommend calling Hammerhead for any upcoming pool work that you may need. Update: I had a little minor issue with the spillway, and Mike and his team came back a number of times to make sure everything was completed to my 100% satisfaction. We worked with Mike during the construction portion, then transferred over to Chandler for all service issues. Our Salt Chlorinator started to malfunction just outside of our warranty. Chandler scheduled a service call the same week and was able to talk with the manufacturer to have our salt chlorinator replaced fairly quickly once the part was available. Any service issues or questions that come up, Chandler is quick to respond. Chandler also follow ups after the service was completed to verify the work was completed and is working properly.

Whoever my current pool tech is, has been doing a great job. The other big thing is that Ash picks up the phone immediately when you call. There is no back and forth.

They replaced in 2016 my booster pump, and solar heating pump that were both failing. (Both had been noted in my initial pool inspection that they were near end of life). Brian and I had decided earlier in the season to replace the booster, but felt the solar pump would last...but it didn't as the bearings began failing - quite nosily I might add. Brian also changed out the mechanical timers with an electronic panel that is much more user friendly. From start to finish, Pool Time consistently delivers excellent service and quick turnaround. The keep their work area clean, and I have never been charged more than expected. I highly recommend them. They are also restarting my pool after it's been drained and re-plastered. Give them a call. I have had an excellent experience with them every time I've dealt with them.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY. Let's start with the basics: every single time I call, they act like my account is part of some secret witness protection program. They can never find it. Not once. Not quickly. Not without me repeating the same information like I'm reading lines in a hostage video. Now onto the disaster that pushed me over the edge. We had a pool leak. Pool Time recommended Leak detection, they came out, pointed to a spot I already knew wasn't the issue, but whatever--Pool Time took their sweet time (about two weeks) to show up. When they finally did, they dug a 4x4 crater in my yard next to the pool like they were searching for buried treasure. As you can tell from the pictures, they also used an old table I had in a trash pile along with my ladder to cover the freaking hole. Knowing damn good and well that I have a dog. Shockingly, there was no leak there. Leak detection returned, admitted their mistake, sent corrected paperwork... and Pool Time? Radio silence. Absolute crickets. No call. No scheduling. No urgency. No accountability. Just a giant hole sitting there like modern art. I've called multiple times. Left messages. Followed up. And every single time, they STILL can't find my address or contract. It's like dealing with customer service powered by a Magic 8 Ball. Meanwhile, my pool is turning green--because someone, for reasons unknown to humanity, turned off the pumps during the hottest week of the year. So now I have a swamp, a crater, and a company that apparently doesn't believe in returning calls. Their customer service isn't just bad--it's nonexistent. It's a void.
