I watched him pour the acid directly from the bottle into my pool without diluting it first. Then, he proceeded to go around the pool with the pool brush brushing and splashing the water up onto the pool concrete coping. He said this is needed to circulate the acid. I went outside a couple hours after he left. I saw something that looked like black marks on the concrete coping near where he poured the acid in. Upon further examination, I realized they were holes in the concrete. The acid pitted by pool coping. Now I need to see if someone who does concrete repair can fill in the holes so they don't get any larger.

I called Matthews Pool Service prior to our move from Dublin, CA. I was able to contact the owner,…read moreMike, immediately. He was super friendly and was coincidentally already servicing the house we were purchasing so he was familiar with the pool. The work he said needed to be done matched what our inspector suggested. Mike confirmed we needed a new pump and quoted the same price our inspector estimated. This shows his pricing was reasonable and upcharge was minimal. Mike also said we needed a new pool sweep (which we desperately did) and told me the least expensive place to get it. I purchased that and he installed it at no charge. Being a first time pool-owner I had many questions and Mike always responded to my texts and calls. He also helped find us a great company to install solar panels for our pool! A few weeks after we moved in we purchased a spa and are having Matthews Pool Service service that as well. One day our pool turned cloudy and I called Mike. He had someone come out that day and take a look. A few hours later all was fixed! I would highly recommend Matthews Pool Service and supporting a local company. Mike is a family man and cares a lot about his clients!

We were referred to In Depth Pools from a friend who uses this company to Service his pool on a weekly basis, he has also had repairs and upgrades done with them and has been thrilled at the professionalism, prices and most importantly the quality of the work performed. So with that I called the company and spoke to Phillip who is the owner and preforms all the work. He is Licensed Contractor and has worked in the industry for many years learning best practices from his prior employers who have taught him well before opening up his own business. What I noticed immediately is the friendly warm welcome and that he actually listened to my concerns and issues and did not immediately try to sell me on something until he fully understood my needs. I ended up signing up for weekly pool service and a couple of pump upgrades and the whole process was and is amazingly smooth, the work preformed was prompt, clean and works great! I am looking forward to the savings on my electric bill with the new high efficient pumps he installed and wow they are quiet too! And his weekly service is amazing, he is always on time, comes by gets to work, gets the job done in a timely manner and when he leaves my pool is sparkling like new! I would highly recommend you give IN DEPTH POOLS a call and you will see that Phillip and his business is not just another fly by night pool cleaning service! I still had H2O Pool Care out to do some diagnostic work on my system. The technician who came out listed the issues and gave me quotes for additional work. I have to say, I was very impressed by how personable and knowledgeable Jeff and his staff were. Reliability, Knowledge, People skills: F…read morePersonality:Oddball, Hothead. M.O.:Get in and out asap. Bill Customer. Clinton, the owner operator, has serviced our pool for only two months. In just this short span of time I can tell you this is not someone you can rely on to properly maintain your pool or hot tub, nor is he someone you should feel comfortable with on your property. An oddball at best and at worst a total hothead. FYI, if you attempt to speak to Clinton of your concerns regarding any issues with his service be prepared, he will more than likely freakout and totally blowup on you. His explosive temperament is very concerning. While he may have some positive reviews I have to say, there's surely people who have not posted due to intimidation. My husband is in law enforcement, i.e., I can write real reviews. Here's his deal. Beginning with the lighter side, he doesn't bother to text back. That is unless he is setting up an appointment to start service with you. Then he's on it. Moving on to service, I'll keep this brief with just one example (and the last straw) regarding poor service. If you need him to drain and clean your hot tub/jacuzzi there's a solid chance he will cheat you on the cleaning. Clinton only drained the tub then began to refill it. He didn't clean any of the scum stuck to the sides. When I asked him about this he said, "It will only get dirty again anyway." Wow, with that kind of logic why bother to clean at all in life? On a more severe side, it turns out he was filling our hot tub in a way that could entirely destroy the pump lines. By chance our spa salesman had come out and saw what was going on and stopped this before it was too late. So much for Clinton's self- aggrandizing proclamations on being the authority on pool and spas. When I -politely- spoke to Clinton about both issues, the lack of cleaning and very nearly destroying a year and a half new hot tub his response was to scream at me. According to him everyone hates me. With that he walked off the job. All I can say is it's no wonder this guy is relegated to cleaning pools for life. And that's saying if he is lucky enough to stay in business with those hysterionic antics. I mentioned an oddball side, well, you'll probably get a laugh out of this. Our hot tub is housed within a cabana. He told me we need to keep all the windows open (including in winter) because if kept shut the entire cabana will explode/combust due to spa chemicals being trapped. "People have been killed!", he informed me in a most authoritative voice. I figured he was just a goofball. After today's verbal attack it seems he has an inability to communicate on a professional level due to immaturity and anger issues. I'm glad we have audio/visual surveillance cameras all over our property. We will get around to posting Clinton's personal explosion at some point. You can witness it for yourselves. It'd be entertaining if it wasn't downright disturbing.

He dialed in the automatic chlorine feeder and replumbed the system, removing the old waterfall and integrating it with the new variable-speed one I already had. He even spray-painted the pipes to match, which was a really nice finishing touch. He also took the time to integrate all of my new add-ons into my Pentair panel and set everything up with specific schedules so everything works together properly. He made sure I understood how everything was connected and how the different components work. The setup came out clean, professional, and exactly how I wanted it. This entire project exceeded my expectations. I'll continue to use Keoni and Nevergreen for my pool needs, as usual. Highly recommend!

My heart!!!!! This makes me so sad to leave this update. We used Nevergreen for nearly 4 years. We…read morehave loved them and their service. A few hiccups, but they were always dealt with in a respectful way and timely manner. We recently ended service with them only because we are trying to sell our home and we are trying to cut costs. We figured we could maintain the pool ourselves through the rest of the year. We called and were able to cancel our monthly service with them pretty easily. They were kind and helpful, but no information was given about the way they would leave the pool on their final service. Their departure, unfortunately, was disappointing and ended up costing us almost $400 to fix their mistake which actually defeated the entire purpose of trying to do this on our own to save money. I'm not sure if it's standard practice to leave everything with the pool completely OFF, but some notice and communication would have been nice. Everything was turned off. There was no power going into our pool. The filter, vacuum, pump, everything was turned off and in August heat this was a disaster for algae to grow. We didn't notice it until it was too late. I guess it grows quick in the heat because 2 separate trips to the pool store and $400 later we were able to get the pool back, but what a disappointment. I thought we had a week from the time Nevergreen serviced our pool until we needed to worry about it, but that was being under the impression that the filter, pump, vacuum etc was still running and keeping things clean. I do want to note that I really enjoyed our pool guy - I wish I remembered his name! Austin? He was super nice and helpful and when he learned we were cancelling he even took some time to show me a few things about the pool and equipment. Super helpful. I don't blame him. I don't imagine it would be his responsibility to communicate with me those details and he doesn't see me every week regardless. I am more upset with the back office and the lack of communication (no call or email explaining what to expect) when closing out an account and not going over the way things will end. Unless this is not common practice -- if everything should have been left on as it was, then I'm sorry to whoever services our pool lol I don't want to get him specifically in trouble, but this was a very costly mistake for us in an already difficult financial time. Pic for how the pool was left on his final cleaning.

What we weren't quite ready for was the maintenance of said pool.. we gave it our best shot for the first couple of months but after being on vacation and coming home to a pool turning green I knew we needed help. A quick Yelp search offered numerous pool businesses so I sent a message out to a couple close to my home (which is in orangevale). However, because I sent the message while at work (EDH) it auto selected a few more businesses to send the message to. Once I realized these other companies were probably too far from my house I figured I wouldn't hear back from any of them. I was wrong! Scotty was the first person to reach out to me to get more information. He was able to schedule and give me a rough estimate over a text message - which is so convenient! After sending a few photos of my pool he insisted on coming over the same day (after his already busy work day) and get started on treating our pool. We were back in our pool in 3 days! I am so glad I found Scotty to maintenance our pool. 10/10 definitely recommend!
