They take the time to speak with their customers regarding their complaints which means a lot and they do full investigations into employees who may not be doing what is right by their customers or company. Kudos to them for continuing to satisfy customers. My pool looks great and the chemistry is always dialed in perfectly. They came on time when they said they would. Smith Pool Service was the first number I called to fix my algae-invaded pool and help manage water levels due to their solid reviews, but I'm at a loss. In the span of a week (the time I was told it would take to get my pool looking right), I've had three commitments to work on the pool come and go, a worker come by for three minutes to pour in some chlorine and ask me what else he was supposed to do, and then watch that chlorine get overcome over a week by the algae that Smith Pool Service never came by to address. I haven't even heard from the company since I was last told work would be done, on Monday (it's Thursday evening). Obviously, customers have had good experiences with Smith Pool Service. All I can say is that I would've had better service paying some kid down the street, which I may do after all. read more

VERY happy with Smith Pool Service. Ash is a fantastic guy and very conscientious. This summer, I've had some intermittent issues with my pump system (not Smith's fault) and so I was concerned about the water quality during times when the pump wasn't working. It's all fixed now, but during that time Ash was awesome at coming by to mitigate the issue by keeping the water treated, etc. and also giving me some great advice. He did this outside my normal service times as well. I have found Smith's service to be very personal and responsive, and definitely recommend them. read more

Our pool looks awful. They forget to come all the time and when they are here they are in and out with lackluster service. Let's hope their service gets better from here on out... However, they recently became overwhelmed by clients and they just gave us to another pool company a-ok pools which is actually awful. I am super disappointed that they would just give our account away without even telling us until after they did it, but also that they gave us to such someone so subpar. We came to use Smith Pools when the top of a redwood tree fell in the pool last February and we had no idea where to begin. Smith Pools came to the rescue and once the pool was drained, the tree removed and refilled the pool has never looked so good. Our former pool person never bothered to show up to check things out. We had smith pool service for years. Couple times pool turned green, it was truple digits. I let it go. 3 months ago, they changed the fay they cleaned my pool, no notice or permission, so my alarm camerad were off the hook, when i asked them, they said they let us know. They didnt. Then for 3 weeks no one came to my pool service, one week i called, they forgot and he came on an off daym the other 2 weeks i was busy with work thinking I already spoke to them several times.... well for 3 weeks they forgot avout my pool but ohhh i was still bulled. My pool turned green. My family came over Sunday and i had to send them back because I couldnt believe condition of my pool. Going back the prior 2 weeks on cameras. No one ever came to my pool. They are growing larger and loosing thr sight or need to hire more people. Either way 3 to 4 weekens runing due to neglect is enough for me. read more

Very uneven service. Some weeks, it was fine; at other times, I had to remind them to add chlorine, debris was left in the pool and the pool even turned green with algae on occasions. When I complained to Mr. Smith, he was very irritated and suggested that I find another service rather than trying to improve the problem. Things came to a head when I had another company in to repair the pool sweeper. They found that the pool filters had not been cleaned for years despite the fact that Smith Pool Service charged me an extra $30 regularly for filter cleaning. The filters were so filthy that they had to be replaced. After I complained about this and asked for my money back, Mr. Smith terminated me as a customer with a week's notice. He said he would no longer be in the area but I saw his truck in the neighborhood and I object to being lied to. I don't recommend this service. read more

We had to switch to another pool company, because Smith Pool overlooked growing algae in my pool. After testing the water it appeared that the concentration of conditioner in my water was 100ppm instead of 30ppm or below, when the level of conditioner in the pool that high the chlorine and algaecide stopes working, so we had to empty our pool completely, treat the sports of growing algae and refill the pool plus our existing filters were in very poor condition which had never been brought to out attention by Smith Pool that they supposed to be replaced. We are very disappointed in such poor level of service Smith Pool provided to us. read more

He lets me know all my options and has even fixed small things for me for no charge when he can. I have been using Smith Pool Service for about a year now and am very happy with the service. Brian and his crew are dependable, courteous and do a great job.
