I come here all the time. I think if you live near here, you have to try it at least once. Many people have different experiences and it doesn't surprise me because every time i come back, food, service and overall experience is so much different than last time. The food is pretty good most of the time and the juices are very very good. Don't expect some gourmet meals though. Always a great spot to come for Breakfast,lunch or dinner. Even moving away from town we find our way back to stop in. The house salad has always been the best salad we have ever had in any restaurant. We can't figure out what makes it so good but it is. Today my husband and I both got the spare ribs they were so good. The coleslaw is the best also we ever had except for KFC. I do however miss some of our favorite dishes from years ago when we lived in town and came all the time for dinner. The land and Sea was my husband's favorite go to. And the chicken wings were alway a favorite for a lighter dinner or Lunch. The fries used to be better but all in all still our favorite diner. read more

The French onion soup while tasty - had half a burger bun in there instead of some regular bread. Still good but just wish the bread was different. The voluminous menu, a diner staple, has corny jokes - Shake n Bacon, no bacon - and a Greek corner with traditional Greek entrees such as Spanakopita and gyos. Diners like everything else are more expensive, but the prices aren't as high as the competition, which is appreciated. Most seemed about 20% less, which adds up Accommodating and prompt service. Look, I love this place (used to); came here for years. Food was excellent. Even the booze and coffee they serve was good. But one thing sucks here is the service. Wow...the waiters/waitresses either serve you once and forget about you (have to call the busboy to get another glass of water or a check); or they give you all your food all at once while you're still eating the first course and even give you the check before you even finish eating your entree, while my dessert still sitting there! Like they want you out of here so very quickly. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. The only exception here is Robyn the friendly waitress who knows how to treat customers right. If she's not here, I turn around and leave. Even the one hostess that's usually there is very sweet and friendly; the one I had today was pretty rude. UGH. My advice: order take out. Had a lovely meal here! The restaurant was cozy and had a great vibe. The waitress was friendly and prompt when taking our order. I loved how they had a vegetarian section on the menu that had many vegan options. I went with the superfood bowl and I loved how hearty and fresh and filling it was. We are new to the neighborhood and noticed this little diner was walking distance from our home, so we gave it a shot. We ordered take out and were NOT disappointed. The place looks super cute and fun, very family friendly. We ordered the pulled pork mac and cheese and a kids meal chicken fingers with french fries. This was plenty for 2 adults and 2 kids. We actually had left overs. The fries were perfect, they didnt get soggy even though we got take out. The chicken was juicy and crunchy and the kids loved it! But that bbq pulled pork mac and cheese was out of this world! New food obsession, honestly. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy and thick and the macaroni were al dente. No soupy, soggy, mac n cheese like some places do it. The pulled pork was perfect. Tangy, sweet, juicy, tender. 10/10 would order again. Can't wait to eat the left overs again today lol also, i can't wait to try their desserts. They looked amazing in the display case :) We ordered out, so I can't comment on the table service but the interactions we did have with the employees was very pleasant. Extremely unprofessional tone and experience caused by the manager. After we paid, we noticed we were charged for the wrong item -- a $10 difference due to a simple ringing error. This could have been resolved in under a minute. All I asked for was a pen so I could adjust the tip accordingly. Instead of helping, the manager immediately came over with an attitude, questioning why we paid and accusing us of having eaten the item. We calmly explained that we did not receive or eat that dish. She continued to blame us until our waitress stepped in and admitted she rang it in incorrectly. At that point, I offered an easy solution: re-sign the check with the corrected total and still tip 20%. The manager dismissed me, told me I "didn't know what I was talking about," and insisted the entire check had to be voided and recharged -- completely unnecessary. Even the waitress suggested a far more reasonable fix: give us the difference in cash factoring in the tip. The amount was small and could've been a 10 second fix by giving a pen as requested. The waitress showed professionalism, accountability, and actual problem-solving skills. The manager needs to learn from her. read more

One evening I ordered a takeout at the restaurant and specifically requested sides with my order for burgers. The server verbally told me I would get them. Nevada diner is one of the most authentic diners in the area. From the moment you walk in you are treated with a smile. They have a great outdoor space perfect for those summer nights fully stocked with with a bar and TVs. The food comes out fast and it's truly plentiful. I cannot finish an entree and always have leftovers. The chicken taverna specifically is one of those dishes you would crave for days. It's chicken on the bone perfectly grilled on the charcoal with a delicious citrus marinade. It comes with lemon potatoes but I switched to Greek fries. My kids always order the filet of sole franchaise over rice pilaf. It's lemony soft and so juicy. read more

I ordered coffee with my breakfast and they never came around for any refills. Visited Navada Diner again this time Tuesday morning 02/18/26 for breakfast and was disappointed with my pancakes and the poor service. I asked for syrup for my pancakes and it was extremely watery that when I slightly tipped the syrup tray it poured out quickly all over my plate and drenched the whole plate I asked the server to change my plate and complained about the watery syrup and tried to eat the three stack pancakes which I normally enjoy but couldn't enjoy it but ate the rest of the breakfast and asked the waiter can they please deduct the pancakes since it was messed up and they made a big fuss about it and refused to deduct the pancakes which was disapointing because I normally enjoy the breakfast there when I'm in town but I see why many Diners and restaurants are going out of business these days" According to Google as of March 2022 market-research company estimated that more than 6,000 bars that serve food, and almost 8,000 diners, had closed permanently mostly due to a drastic change in customer service and hospitality. Neveda Diner has been my go to spot (for the last 25+ years) when looking to dine at a diner. Since that time the food has been good, ambience is swell and the service superb. Definitely one of my favorite diners! Nice staff and fast service. My favorite order is Eggs Benedict with hollandaise on the side and well done hashbrowns. Soo soo good. The hashbrowns are extra delicious crispy! The pancakes are also nice and fluffy. I order takeout here frequently and my order is always correct (even with my special requests) which is another reason why I enjoy this Diner! While the Nevada Diner has an awesome sign, the same thing can't be said about it's food. I tend to stay away from writing bad reviews (mostly because I stay away from bad food places) but sometime the whole experience is just so bad that I feel compelled to make a note of it. Tonight dinner at Nevada was such an occasion. Mind you I have eaten there in the past and was not expecting haut cuisine but I did expect half decent food, service, and ambiance. I am sad to report I got non of that. The service was close to non-existent (I had to blame waiters since sometimes it's not their fault), the food atrocious (I ordered Jambalaya, what I got was undercooked rice with half raw vegetable, and meatballs sized mystery meat masquerading as sausage and some shrimp on top.) You would think that ambiance is one thing a diner can't screw up but I was sitting in a wind-tunnel every time the side door was opened, and need to grab things before they flew away. If your idea of eating out consist of half microwaved TV dinners, soups from a can, and hunting for your waiter while hurricane grade winds sweep thing of your table I highly recommend that you visit the Nevada Diner soon. Perfectly tender, mostly white meat chicken, lots of fresh veggies, and and excellent sauce (although it could've used a bit more seasoning...). Great minestrone soup as well. I normally enjoy the food from Nevada when I'm in town, but tonight the meal was not the greatest or even close to good. It was weak in the overall taste and how it was presented. I ordered 2 things: Broiled pork chops with asparagus and mashed potatoes; and also the Fried Chicken with fries meal. Let's start with the Fries chicken meal. The fries were barely cooked. They were cold & soggy. Not even close to being cooked. And the fried chicken were just small pieces. The little wings had a coating on it, but NO MEAT on them. The broiled pork chops, were a bit dry... tough to cut. Not much in the way of seasoning... Asparagus were tasty... and there was a lot of mashed potatoes, which were ok. The service was fine. I got my order to go, so there's not much to say about service. The ambiance is ok. In NJ, it would be considered just another diner. I wish I had taken pics before I ate the food...
