05/17/26 This time we brought my sister in law here for a brunch. Not sure how, but we some how we managed to get in. MMAM is quickly becoming one of our favorite restaurants. Great food, excellent service and a very class ambiance. This time we had shrimp and grits, Latin tribute tamale and fried chicken and grits. All great dishes. A whole showcase of desserts, but we got here too late and they were cleaning it up for the day halfway through our meal. I can only rate based on my order via Uber Eats. I received the order in a timely manner. Packaged very well. - No butter or syrup for the pancake order. Pancakes were fluffy and very tasty. - Shrimp and grits were a nice portion. Bland sauce. Shrimp cooked perfect. Grits were sublime! I added garlic salt, chopped crispy bacon, chopped cilantro. - Huevos Divorciado; perfect portion. Eggs cooked to my liking. Salas (Roja and Verde) VERY TASTY. Good cheese ratio. But the flavor was a bit flat as a whole. I had some fresh jumbo shrimp, I seasoned them with garlic salt and Adobo. Then seared them with Achiote Oil and added them to the dish with a nice amount of chopped cilantro. Overall not bad. Amazing with my modifications. I've been to this place a few times, and it's consistently good. A friend and I went for lunch on a Friday during Lent, and as Catholics, we asked the server which seafood or vegetarian options he recommended. Onelio was an absolute delight, walking us through the menu with care. We each opted for a soup--butternut squash for her and lentil for me--along with shrimp tempura salads. Since neither of us enjoys arugula, we asked to have it swapped for romaine, which was no issue. The soups were just what we needed on a chilly day and balanced well with the salad. The balsamic yuzu vinaigrette they use on it is so good and they add just the right amount. We also ordered some after-lunch drinks: matcha for her with an almond croissant, and a Paciencia y Fe (signature espresso/Dominican chocolate) coffee for me. Both gave us the little boost we needed to continue our day. The ambiance here is calm and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly. My friends and I decided to go to brunch here for the first time this past weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were some latin foods on the menu! When we first arrived, we saw there was a line out the door. Luckily we had made a reservation. We still had to wait about 15 minutes but they had a small seating area which we used. The place was pretty and had an interesting design to it. We were seated at the back on a bigger table which they divided into half for another family. The worker there mentioned they could move us to another table once there was an availability but this was no issue for us so we stayed where we were. We got the BLT sandwich with sauteed onions, micki mouse shaped waffle, birria tacos and shashuska. We also got the chicken and steak empanadas and also strawberry mint lemonade and mint lemonade. The food was good. The Shashuska and Birria Tacos were tasty. The birria tacos however were VERY oily...the oil was dripping out! The BLT was ok - nothing special but nothing bad but the fries it came with seemed to not have been seasoned evenly (some were very salty and others lacked salt). Waffle was good - normal. We also had gotten the chicken and steak empanadas. The chicken empanadas were tasty and better than the steak one. The sauce the chicken empanadas came with was limey and tasty. The steak one was salty according to my friend. What we all loved the most were our drinks. We had gotten the freshly squeezed strawberry mint lemonade and the mint lemonade and wow - it was so tasty and refreshing left me wanting more! Overall, place was nice, and food was good. read more

My son and I had Valentines Brunch here. It's a byob with a liquor store on the same street. Its vibe is very welcoming and I like how big the seating area was. We had reservation and we waited to be seated. It was packed which to me means it's worth the wait. By the time we sat, brunch was 30 mins before transitioning to dinner. So we requested both menus. lol!! I love food! We had a lite fair for breakfast: pancakes and chicken empanada. For dinner we ordered the risotto and strip steak with spinach. Went here for brunch recently with Baby. Would recommend reserving the table beforehand, as it was really busy on Sunday. We got Shakshuka, mushroom empanada and cheese quesadilla. Empanada was the best I've ever had. It was so good that we got one more. I did not enjoy the cheese quesadilla that much. Shak Shuka was fine, but I would have liked it more if it would be more seasoned. The decor, service etc. is really good. Will definitely go again. read more

The food tasted like they were fresh ingredients- I also saw them unload a bevy of ingredients from a personal car. The coffee and latte were great. I got the Lavender hot latte. Wow! What a great experience! I came on a Sunday afternoon with no reservation after calling the restaurant the day prior to see if any table were available to reserve when I was informed they also do first come, first serve. With a party of 3 we waited less than 40 min on a busy Sunday afternoon. We ordered the arepas to start since we were so hungry! And they were so delicious! We loved the texture of soft and crispy outside. For the main dish I had the birria taco and oh my, were they one of the best birria tacos (5/5) I've had - well seasoned and so tasty. I also had a piece of the Madison quesadilla with chorizo (4/5) and it was also delicious. I tried a couple fries but they were anything out of this world - just ok (2/5). I enjoyed my hot lavender matcha latte with almond milk as well. I'm definitely going to come back and try some other menu items...or will the birria tacos be my go to? We shall see! Our server was great - very attentive, welcoming and friendly. I think her name began with an "S." Our server, Sandra, was exceptional and truly took care of us from start to finish. I tried the empanadas, which were delicious, and the chicken and waffle, which was also very good. This is a great restaurant to catch up with friends, have a lunch with family, and simply enjoy a delicious meal at a restaurant that is warm and inviting. I ordered a Caesar salad with roasted chicken. My friend ordered steak and eggs, my other friend ordered the omelette. We were a party of five people. My friends and I greatly enjoyed our brunch meals. My salad in particular was amazing, the roasted chicken was soft, chewy, and flavorful. My salad had a ton of Caesar dressing which I loved. I was definitely happy with my choice of ordering a salad. The service was excellent. My friends and I hung out at the restaurant for a while even after we had finished eating and the restaurant wasn't as busy anymore so they were nice to let us hangout in the restaurant after we had already paid. 10/10 Montclair Brunch experience and recommendation. LOVED! My friend and I came here on a Friday morning for a breakfast date and fell in love. We ordered the cold pressed juices: the wake up and the 3 in 1 and they were tasty. We also ordered the chilaquiles (she purchased the one with brisket and mine with just egg). We both ate in silence just savoring how delicious the meal was lol! The portions were perfect and pricing was decent for what you got. We also ordered the bao bun which were 2 bao buns with an egg omelette, avocado and bacon. The bacon was a bit thick for my liking but overall it was good. But the star of the show was for sure the chilaquiles. Made a reservation for brunch on a Sunday morning and the restaurant was surprisingly not as busy as anticipated. Service was amazing from the minute we walked in to the minute we left and the food was scrumptious! The omelette was perfectly stuffed and cooked to perfection and the apricot toast (special) was popping with flavor! Oh and the macchiato was the perfect temperature and delicious. I came here for brunch today with friends and had a disappointing experience. We were seated 45 mins after our reservation time, which was a let down from the start. We were hoping for some sort of apology or comped item due to the extreme delay, but that was not the case. The coffee was good, and so was the food, but some of the items in our group's order were not correct. We were so hungry because we had been waiting so long that it wasn't worth it to send anything back to me made correctly. I would say like 6/10, not bad but nothing special. My fries were under seasoned & thin and chicken sandwich over cooked. The BLT my friend got had literally 1 piece of bacon on it, just felt that was weird and underwhelming. - Parking is a headache. Not the restaurants fault at all, but be prepared to pay to parallel park on the street or in a garage. - We were barely there an hour and our server rushed us out of the restaurant, not even asking if we wanted anything else before bringing the bill. Packed with good flavor, sauce was good, bread fresh. This is a spot I'll definitely be stopping back at. With good service and good food, why wouldn't you want to stop in? We got blueberry pancakes for the table. They were ok. A little dry. I got a couple things to go from the bakery. Tres leches cake and a cranberry scone. Cake was overly sweet and didn't like the coconut on it. Scone was also dry. Our waitress was really nice but seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables. We made reservations to dine in after lunch. We arrived a few minutes early and they already gave away our table. We watched a few groups arrived after us and they were seated. We purchased two pastries while we waited some more and it was dry. Half hour later, we were squeezed into a table of 2 (we're 4) and waited for the table (of 2) next to us leave. We watched the staff rushed them out. One finished and the bill came. Then the staff cleared the last empty plate while the guest was holding the last piece of steak on his fork. The second they left the staff came in and cleaned it. The chicken (waffle) and chicken sandwich were tender and flavorful. The beverages need some work. Iced Chai Tea latte was flat, tastes like a skinny, and Lavender Matcha tastes like a regular matcha. Place was definitely busy and loud. We couldn't hear ourselves in conversation that we stopped after 10 minutes. The dinner menu looks interesting, but I'm not certain I would return. They also apologized for the long wait. read more

Great spot! Two out of three of our meals were out of this world and the last one was still good but I felt like I could make it at home. We are definitely adding this restaurant into our regular routine. The chicken and waffles were fantastic and the spice on the chicken was insanely good and unique. I've never had anything like it. The shrimp tacos were truly succulent and delicious. The arepa was really good but I felt like it could have been more interesting. I could easily make it at home. The crab empanada was okay. It was called crab stew but I didn't get any stew, just some mild crab. The coffees were great and so was the ambiance. We were worried we'd have to wait a long time since we just showed up on a Sunday but they did a good job of getting us in as quickly as possible. I met some Jersey friends for brunch last Sunday, and I'm glad I made the trek out to Meet Me at Madison. It was a delight for sure. Everybody ordered different things, so I got a taste of all of their brunch dishes. Some of the stand outs included the Chicken and Waffles, The Shashuka Eggs, the Chicken Curry Croissant Sandwich, and the Steak and Eggs. And I can't forget their dessert--they are too numerous to name, but you can't go wrong the Cannelés... or, frankly, with any of them. For starters, I loved the atmosphere. It was modern yet cozy. Perfect for dinner on a chilly evening. The service was also excellent. Our waiter, Javier, was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. Everyone who took care of us was great. The food was honestly next level. Everything was soooo flavorful and the portions were generous. We took lots of leftovers home. The real star of the night was the crispy apple and shrimp appetizer. The combo of the crispy apple, grilled shrimp, and caramelized onions was incredible. It was unique and all the flavors and textures worked perfectly together. For our entrees, I had the pork bondiola and my boyfriend had the skirt steak. My pork was so tender and so flavorful. It was falling apart in the best way possible. The steak was also cooked perfectly and the risotto was perfect. Major points for also being BYOB. Came here for Saturday brunch a few weeks before the holidays (not a good idea!) and it was SUPER packed. Or maybe this doesn't really make a difference and it's always this busy. The place is cute but the tables are close together making it hard to get through. Parking sucks. Even with the municipal lot around the corner, you'll find yourself hunting for a spot. Once inside you'll need to wait a bit for a table. Once seated and the wait person finally comes by and takes your order, your food comes out relatively quickly. Then you'll be on your own, so don't expect anyone to come by to check on you. The omelettes were nicely portioned and tasty. The Americano coffee was too strong and bitter for my liking. Pricing is fine. I think because they're so busy and they don't have the time to check on you, they don't rush you out. Although they have a sign on the counter indicating a time limit (90 mins I think). So... I came, I experienced, I don't feel the need to come back again for either lunch or dinner. read more

Parking can be difficult especially for weekend brunches but its close to a residential so you can get lucky with parking there instead. inside is aesthetically pleasing and bright, perfect mood for brunching with family and friends. I got their omelette which was done very well. Nice and fluffy with good taste despite the simplicity. I also got their matcha with vanilla syrup for some sweetness and thoroughly enjoyed that. The pistachio croissant was good but a favorite, so far, from their pastry selections would be their pistachio canele - so yummy!! The dulce de leche tart was delicious too and is a nice sweet treat. We had such an amazing experience at this restaurant, from the food to the service! The service was amazing, I had breastmilk with me in a lunch box (we were traveling), and she helped me keep it cold during our visit as well as reminded me of it on my way out!
