Moon rocks on my rented ATV
Brent B.

Rented a 400cc ATV and oh man was it fun. The ATV hauled ass and climbed great. They were very friendly and professional, hooked up a trailer for me, provided me all the gear and sent me on my way. The process was easy and they were flexible with me. I'll definitely rent here again.

In a word - fantastic. Barry went above and beyond to ensure I was happy. I rented a KTM Adventure that was essentially new and in perfect mechanical order. My riding gear was also high quality name brand stuff which looked and fit great as well as provided comfortable protection for my all day ride. You don't feel like you are renting a bike. You feel like you are visiting your buddy from out of town and borrowing his ride. Barry is friendly, easy to communicate with, and knows the area like the back of his hand. He gave some AWESOME ride route ideas off the beaten path- including cool places to eat and grab a beverage. I noticed two things- he had a bunch of repeat customers as I was getting ready to hit the road and he is expanding into a new larger retail shop. You don't do that in business nowadays unless you deliver for your customers. Barry is the best around! I'll be coming back to rent from him this fall. Easiest 5 star review ever- should be 6!

Honda rental and trailer.

If your in or around Reno, NV and looking for something fun to do, look up Nevada Adventure Rentals. I rode a Triumph 800XC and my friend a KTM690R, both were in EXCELLENT condition, the motorcycles were not some worn out rental junk. If your into two wheeling to some climbing, hiking, camping, etc. NAR is the place, they have all the equipment to get you set up. "All you need is your toothbrush". Can't say enough how much we enjoyed riding the Sierra's! This was my first visit to Reno, I had no idea how beautiful this place is. I'll be back for sure. Thanks again Barry for setting us up with an awesome adventure!

We are very loyal customers. Quality/Quantity - Here for the Wax and Watch event DIG. My first time and what an amazing event. Fundraising for so many nonprofits, see pictures. Also sponsored by Fifty Fifty Brewing Co; I had a few too many beers, too good of a time. I also found out about Fifty's Grand opening at RPM, which we also supported and attended the next day, see other Yelp Review. Non alcoholic drinks were also available. Too lazy to have brought our equipment for the wax. Plus Mt Rose gives us each 4 free waxes that I rarely use up. Raffle - We did NOT win. Atmosphere - Clean and organized location. Love the NV art on the side of the building/in the parking lot. Cool! See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Small parking lot, but because we came in off peak (weird) hours, it is rarely an issue for us. And today we got lucky as the lot was full but a car gave us his space. Service - The team is so welcoming and friendly. This is the #1 reason we are loyal customers. Events available - See website. Again, my first but NOT last time that I will attend an event. We will probably come back Sunday for the Mt Rose Passholder Spring Sale. Price - Expensive, but worth the quality, service, and culture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. Furthermore, they give you credit ranging from $15 to $150.

Just my luck- found a nice On pair- I like these because it's really not messy on the upper.. Noticed an email on the Rei app about the new On Cloudsurfer 2 trail running-.. And how do you NOT spend $50 on every visit here... Came here to check out bikes, mountain bikes, e-bikes, etc. But ending up buying a new boot on clearance. Atmosphere - Good size location. Plenty of private parking. Service - Mostly self service. The shoe salesperson, the only person helping 10 people, did a good job. There were 4 people working in the bike area, and no one acknowledged me?!?! And these bikes go for like $7k. I am not sure I want an e-bike yet; I just want to stay as young and long as possible. Very friendly salesperson. Price - $150 ish. Good deal for the quality of boot I got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1938! I like the COOP concept and $30 lifetime membership model. Many of my friends are loyal customers due to this model. You created a good and strong culture. Keep up the good work.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! TIM IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE & LEAD US INTO A DANGEROUS CONSTRUCTION ZONE…read moreWITH HIGH WATER & STRONG CURRENTS! This should be negative stars. My aunt booked a trip for a river float for my cousin's birthday. There were about 10 of us. The guide, Tim, was completely incompetent, rude, & overall just creepy with the things he said. He kept singing songs about smoking in the morning and getting drunk at night. He also told us an inappropriate story about how he found a guy "jerking off in a crawl space". Aside from the inappropriate comments/ stories, there were multiple signs telling us to exit the river because there was a construction zone ahead. We asked Tim multiple times if we should be getting out soon because the signs were telling us to. He ignored all of us and just kept us floating. We passed by 3 warning signs telling us to get out of the river and we were seeing other people floating get out where the signs were. Then there was one last sign saying "Emergency River Exit Here" and people hanging out by the right side of the river telling us "get out now!" But Tim still just says nothing. Luckily, a random girl hanging out by the water decides to try to stop our group so we can try to get out safely before entering the construction zone but then she got swept away with the current & 4 others in our group and she almost drowned. We told Tim, "this girl is drowning & she needs help!" and he said, "well she's not apart of our group so she's not our problem" as she was visibly almost drowning and literally gasping for help. Luckily, she was able to grab onto my brother's tube and they held onto a branch for at least 10 minutes. One of the group members who successfully got out before the construction zone threw down a life jacket for the girl but she and my brother were still stuck on the opposite side of the river against a concrete wall IN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE WHERE WE WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE. Me, my husband and my dad got swept further down into the construction zone and then finally, at the last minute, Tim says, "get out now!!" as we're already in a complete danger zone. So we all try to get off to the left side of the river as fast as we can to get out. His exit strategy was to grab onto a rock or branch as quick as we could so we didn't go into the rapids and diverted river area. Luckily, we all got out in time but we were literally in an enclosed fenced/ locked construction zone and had to pry ourselves through the fenced area to get out. We had to walk back to the office and tried to talk to Tim & get a refund and he says, "I don't have any money. I'm a terrible person and I want to die. I should just kill myself." (Which is a great thing you want to hear from your "tour guide"). We were also supposed to get a "lunch and drinks" after our float. We were given warm beers in a bag, NO LUNCH and left alone outside on the patio. We walked out of the office after Tim was being suicidal and crazy & he eventually locked himself in the office so we weren't able to talk to him anymore. We were stuck outside wondering how we're going to get back to our hotel because there was no one outside to give us any information. We HAD TO PAY TO GET AN UBER BACK TO OUR HOTEL because Tim would not communicate with us. We also talked to the owner, Jim and he called us liars and didn't believe any of this happened. Can't make this stuff up. Craziest experience I've ever had with any type of "tour guide". During the float, Tim also called a girl in our group "retarded" because she fell off her tube and had a hard time getting back on through the rapids. He was also yelling at her for falling off and said "you shouldn't have let go!" DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR OR ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY!! YOU CAN EASILY (& FREELY/ MORE SAFELY) FLOAT THIS RIVER ON YOUR OWN!!! Save yourself the money and headache. WE DID NOT GET REFUNDED EVEN AFTER HAVING TO CLIMB OUT OF A CONSTRUCTION ZONE!!!! The most unprofessional and UNSAFE experience! Here is a link to a video that shows the construction area Tim lead us into: https://www.rgj.com/videos/news/2025/06/06/the-truckee-river-is-diverted-as-construction-continues-on-the-arlington-avenue-bridge-project/84079962007/ In the video they say, "One of the things we are encouraging the public to be aware of is; as the river is currently diverted, the south side of this channel is going to be HIGHER and FASTER. So we are telling people NOT to use the river recreationally in that time because of the SPEED and DEPTH." Attached are some photos from the video link that show the exact location we floated past into the construction area and shows the "EMERGENCY RIVER EXIT" sign that Tim floated us past!!

More to say but I'll leave it at that. I had no reason to believe Harley would approve me for even 1$. But in my situation, it wasn't gonna hurt to try. From the start the 3 individuals that helped me out, unfortunately I don't recall all their names but James who helped me fill out the application & look at bikes in my budget was super helpful & straight forward. After finding a bike I wanted we started the application process. They got me approved while I was still sitting there. I was shocked that I got an approval. Note my situation definitely came with a high APR but that was expected because of my history. I knew this & didn't care, I can refinance in a year and be better off for doing all of this. I appreciate the transparency & effort on their part to make it work for me. They definitely earned a return customer & for all I know ending of this year I could come back & upgrade!
