The nigiri here is super fresh and very good! I really enjoyed the two appetizers too which was a toro toast and an ikura don. The sushi chef explained everything to us throughly and asked us if we had a preference with wasabi. The inside is just bar seating, but it's quite wide and spacious and the restaurant got busy on a weekday night! I'd definitely go back.

This spot is a hidden gem in Bensonhurst, the best sushi I've had so far. They are reservations only and from 5:00pm-9:00 usually. Great place to go for special occasions. Chef Leo was our chef, very attentive and welcoming.

This was the best budget omakase I've had in the states - $75 for 15 courses (1 appetizer + 14 nigiri pcs). They updated their menu after my visit to $65/$125 options. All of the pieces were so fresh and delicious, but my faves were the king salmon with truffle mayo, hokkaido uni, otoro (fatty tuna) and A5 wagyu - still dreaming about these pieces!! I was celebrating a birthday dinner here and they gave me a scallop hand roll with a candle in it.

Superb Omakase and definitely worth all the social media hype, not to mention my hour and half drive there from Long Island. They offer a standard as well as a premium which consists of imported fish from Japan and dry aged. This is one of the best Omakase for the price in all of NYC.

Hands down one of the best omakases I've had! A bit out of the way but totally worth making the trip. The staff here are incredibly friendly and nice. The interior is also nice and clean. I enjoyed every single part of the omakase experience. What made me enjoy it so much is outside of the freshness of the fish, I felt like they really thought about how to be creative, and bring something unique to the table vs a lot of omakases who feel generic. I cannot recommend this place enough & I will definitely want to come back!

I grew up in Bensonhurst, and I was surprised when an omakase place opened up here. I was a little suspicious but we went for my friend's birthday and we had a great time. It's a very unassuming spot, but once I walked in, I was greeted with the chefs' and hostess' welcoming and attentive service. What I loved was that the place wasn't too stuffy - you can casually enjoy omakase without feeling the need to be dressed in your Sunday best. The omakase was so worth the price, with every piece being crafted with care. The flavors of the pieces are typically seen at other omakase places. The fish was fresh and high quality.

The fish is really fresh. Usually i dont like uni because its fishy, but neta shari's uni wasnt fishy at all. I tried the maine uni, California uni, and hokkaido uni, which were all exceptional! The ambiance was also really nice and the establishment overall is very clean and intimate.

I was very impressed with the omakase here especially when it was $75 for 15 pieces. The chef put a lot of work into each piece and every bite was well worth it. We booked an early reservation on a Saturday, so there wasn't anyone else. But as we left, we saw the next reservations were pretty much full. I was pleased with all the pieces. The chef took time explaining how they paired each nigiri pieces with specific salts and condiments. It was interesting to see a piece complemented with sacha sauce, but it worked well! Every piece melted in your mind and the rice wasn't too clumpy and didn't fall apart either. Ambiance was pretty chill. A little more on the casual end for omakase. Would def go here again!

We went for Mother's Day for a 5pm reservation but I docked it one star this time because it's the same price but I got less premium ingredients this time. No caviar at all on any of the pieces and instead of replacing the uni with toro, they gave me some ikura and tuna collar. I might have enjoyed these pieces more but I don't appreciate not being offered something of a similar value. The chef also gave me an option on what I wanted last time whereas this one did not and also didn't give me something of similar value. Ikura is a $7 value whereas Hokkaido uni is $15 so I definitely did not get something of similar value. He also wasn't particularly friendly and is the one that speaks English fluently. - [ ] Chawanmushi - [ ] Miso black cod - [ ] Salted kelp fluke - could use a tad more flavor - [ ] Red Sea bream with pickled plum - I liked this one it had a lot of flavor - [ ] Scallop - didn't care for this one that much - [ ] Arctic char yuzu - was a tad bitter but buttery smooth - [ ] Japanese firefly squid - very seafoody but good. Not for those who don't like the seafoody taste cuz this one was strong - [ ] Japanese barracuda and shallots - it was torched - [ ] Striped Jack with yuzu - [ ] Japanese dorn head? - tasted a bit of sea salt in this so that's nice. - [ ] House marinated spider something with roasted seaweed - good wasabi taste and it's a bit raw. my partner really liked this piece - [ ] New Zealand king salmon with truffle mayo dry aged for 35 days - this one was really good, imo. Could use a tad bit of sea salt maybe but otherwise perfect - [ ] I got ikura instead of uni . Would have been Hokkaido uni instead - [ ] Tuna collar seared with truffle salt. Others got another Hokkaido uni - [ ] Otoro dry aged for 40 days - not sure that I like how this is stringy - [ ] A5 Miyazaki wagyu - too buttery. Stringy again - [ ] Banana pudding homemade ice cream was very good, much better than the bubble tea flavor we got last time.

All around A+ experience. 18 piece omakase at $125 makes it worth the trip - with a more casual setting than some of the stuffier Manhattan alternatives, the vibe here gives you the chance to really not only appreciate the sushi, but comfortably speak with the chef and waiter. It was a fun experience, some unique fish pairings, and overall fantastic food. Rivals any other NYC omakase experience, really suggest dropping in!

This BLEW me away my goodness. We were here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. Each course was better than the last, and the dry aged fish had an amazing melting texture. Each fish was also accompanied well with complementary toppings that enhanced but didn't overpower the fish. Our favorites were the barracuda and the otoro, but it was all great. Our server was very attentive and the chef was very helpful. I would eat here every single day if I could afford it. Oh and they gave us the cutest little anniversary piece. Yes yes yes.

An 18 course omakase for 120 is an absolute steal. But the price is not the only plus for Neta Shari-- this place EARNED that Michelin damnit and the sushi will speak for itself. It is well worth the trip and honestly was a damn good bonding experience for my partner friends and myself -- yeah the omakase was THAT good. Their dry age technique is . The chef is very informative and patient. The ambiance is classy and refined and you should dress up a little for this date- whoever suggested it really likes you !!

One of my fav omakase spots!! The fish is so fresh and delicious. Been here more than 3 times and it never disappoints. Everyone I take here also loves this spot. The staff is also very nice. This really is a gem in NYC.

Had a 15 course omakase. I love the steam egg with truffle. Sushi was great except for the red tuna. Personally, it was too fishy.

My husband had the kaishin don, I had the Ozakaya donburi set and our girls shared the shoyu tonkatsu ramen. The fish was so incredibly fresh here and the rice was seasoned perfectly. My donburi set also came with dashi broth that the waitress later brought over to pour on top of the leftover rice in my bowl to be enjoyed at the end of the meal. The broth and rice combination was really comforting and satisfying. This dish was something I wanted to try in Japan but did not get a chance to experience when there, so I was excited to try it at Ozakaya. I was really pleasantly surprised by the ramen here as well. Although the pork could have been better/more tender, the broth was rich and seasoned so well and not too salty like other places. Last but not least, the service here was excellent and efficient. Lots of people came in and out for takeout orders so that seems to be more of the target audience. Service was quick and polite, we were there until 9:30 and they definitely seemed ready for us to be out of there before the 10PM closing time. As for the specialty rolls, there were some pretty creative options - don't shy away from seemingly odd combinations because the flavors really do work well together. I appreciated the rice:fish ratio on all the rolls, the rice was a thin layer letting the flavor of the other ingredients really come through. The plain spicy tuna roll on the other hand was filled with spicy tuna mixed with something crunchy - maybe puffed rice? It seemed to be an unnecessary filler, I would have preferred just fish. I enjoyed the Lovers Dream and Golden Sunset roll the most. While I was debating it while ordering, in hindsight I would definitely get two rolls per person, maybe more if you're really hungry.

I saw the strong Yelp reviews and decided to take the leap with a pickup order. We ordered two specialty rolls and a spicy tuna roll. The restaurant itself is smaller than I expected, so I'm glad we opted for takeout. The staff was super friendly, and we only waited a few minutes while they completed our order. The Mystic Dragon roll was the standout for me-absolutely delicious. It had a variety of textures that gave it a great mouthfeel. I think this was my favorite of the three. All the flavors complemented each other beautifully. The strawberry sauce was unexpected but surprisingly worked! I love unique flavor combinations, and this one did not disappoint. The Torched King roll was also excellent. Salmon is my go-to for sushi, and the light torching gave it a subtle smoky flavor that I loved. The yuzu chili sauce added a nice kick--really flavorful and well-balanced. The Spicy Tuna roll was a classic and, of course, delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.
