We are a small business in the Richmond area providing custom embroidered and screen printed apparel. We rely heavily on our computers to run our art and digitizing software, so when our main art computer started crashing and shutting down our art programs in mid design work, we started losing lots of time and money having to go back and start from scratch. I reached out to Nerds to Go to see if they could help and within just minutes of me sending an email, I was contacted by James. I explained the importance of this particular computer and that we really couldn't leave it with them for an extended amount of time because it would stall our production. They scheduled us to come in on a day that worked with our schedule and within less than a few minutes were able to tell us what the problem was and presented us with 2 solutions, the first was repairing our current machine so that we can carry on with business as usual for the time being, as well as offering to build us an updated CPU. I never felt pressured into purchasing something I didn't need and felt 100% comfortable and confident that these guys knew what they were doing. They understood the importance of keeping our business running on schedule. They were professional and proficient, and explained everything in a way that I could understand. I would highly recommend using Nerds to Go for all of your IT network needs. read more

Had a computer issue related to cloud connection, which we did not want. The only tech person present had no clue, but pretended that the issue was resolved, but was not, as we later learned. The charge for 30 minutes worth of operating the keyboard came to $ 100.00. I tried to negotiate a 50% reduction, but unfortunately I did not succeed. read more

Whatever happened to customer service, I called this company at 10 am and now at 3 pm, they are returning the call. I waited all day to see if I can have my computer done. How hard would have been to just give a 2minute call to tell me you don't have time and you're too busy. My friend recommended them so the only day off to get it done is lost... I'm in the customer service and returning calls are the first issue in the morning we don, this gives the customer and another avenue to go somewhere else with time. My fault in giving this new company a chance. I should have instead stayed with the one I go to for years. what a joke. read more

I see all the wonderful reviews for Nerds to Go and wonder, "is this the same company I used?" First I fault the person I spoke with on the phone for not being better informed. I wanted a new modem/router hooked up and then our printers connected to our devices. I was told, "no problem" but it was. I should have suspected something when guy who came out said he'd be on phone with Comcast awhile and asked if that was OK. We paid for 2 hours ($300). When he left nothing was connected but he'd made us an appointment with Comcast who sent a rep out the next day. That rep hooked up modem/router at no charge read more

Nerds To Go did a great job! I had run into two problems with my Dell desktop where it would not power on and kept showing a blue screen error that a scan showed to be a problem with one of the memory chips. After reaching out to another repair service and receiving no response at all, I contacted Nerds To Go and received a response within an hour. The technician I worked with, Jeremiah, got right into it, asking intelligent and leading questions that led to a diagnosis of the problems during the call. After being informed of the rates for service on site vs. at my home, I made the decision to take my computer to the Nerds To Go office. The location was within a half hour of my home and a very easy trip. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Jeremiah, who began diagnosing the computer right away, After the cause of the problem with the computer not powering up was determined and fixed, I left to allow Jeremiah to check the memory chips. It took him about two hours to determined which strip of memory was bad and then call me with the results. He provided me multiple options for the repair along with the cost of each. I made the decision to replace the defective memory chip along with another of the same type that Jeremiah advised would eventually fail. Now, I have two newer model memory chips that should last a long time and increased the RAM in my computer. So, in the space of two hours, my computer was fixed and I was able to bring it home the same day. It is working great and I am feeling very confident that I have a company to help me with any future PC problems. I was treated with a superior level of service and paid a fair price for the service and repair. I strongly recommend anyone who needs help with their home PC to make use of Nerds To Go. read more

Holy $#%^$$ this place is incredible. Easily the best customer service experience I have gone through in my life. They did such a great job fixing my laptop and setting up my new computer. I had dealt with both the owner and one of their techs, Calvin. Both are phenomenal and Calvin should get a medal for being so patient is fixing my computer. I have been recommending them to anyone in the Arlington and Alexandria area that needs support. read more
