knowingly sold me a Mac book with a bad battery. Had to ask for the charger that came with the computer before I left. Asked for a refund and they told me it would be refunded in two business days but actually set the refund for 7 business days. Very dishonest and unethical business. read more

I had a really wonderful and stress free experience with Richmond Geeks when I brought in my phone due to my charging port having issues and no longer working for me. Mo at the front took a look at it right away and was incredibly knowledgeable and professional from the start which I really appreciated, the help and the level of service is worth highly recommending this place to anyone if you need anything repaired. They know their stuff and treat customers with respect. thanks again read more

Great experience! They were very knowledgeable and really helped me out in a pinch when I needed the data out of my fried laptop. They were very communicative and even called me in their day off to provide me a status update. Priced reasonably. Highly recommend. read more

Went there today and bought new regular screen protector and clear case for my phone. Forgot to ask the name of the seller. Good service. Shukran and will be back again for sure read more

Called and gave them my deposit, and they told me they would call back when they got the battery in which was supposed to be a day. Never called me and I had to call them days later to find out it already arrived. After finally finding a time to come in, they said they can't get it done in time even though I was told it could be and would only be 30 minutes. Left my laptop there and came the next day excited for it to be fixed only to find out they got the wrong battery. Not a reliable place to get things fixed at at all. read more

Awesome place!! Can't recommend enough! Such a nice guy, too. Replaced my cracked phone screen in no time.

Best service. Quick honest. Very professional. I have gone 3 times and would go again read more

RIP OFF!! UNETHICAL!! I brought my laptop in for repair. They insisted that I purchase a "Dell" charger (although there were lots of comparable products available at other stores and online for significantly less). They sold me a USED Dell charger for $95. I brought it home and it did not work. I made the mistake of returning to them - They charge me another $95 to repair the plug on my laptop related to "charging" and then gave it back to me with a different used charger that wasn't even manufactured by Dell. I returned a third time and they said that the internal battery on my laptop needed to be replaced for another $59. I just received my laptop back today and it does not hold a charge AT ALL!! They are UNETHICAL!! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID!! read more

Stopped in to have a screen protector replaced. They also had a charger cord and new case for my phone in stock. I left with a brand new looking phone! So happy with the service, courtesy and inventory of the Broad Street location! read more

Lines through my screen less than 24 hours after replacement. When I brought it back the employee got so hostile he had to be removed by the manager. They honored no warranty. The repair cost 200 dollars. So they basically stole 200 dollars from me, and that guy should not be helping the public, ever. read more

I had purchased a new Motorola Edge 5G uw back in August and cracked the screen the second day I had it. I called a couple retailers that accept the Verizon insurance and they said that they couldn't get a screen for Edge. I went to Richmond geeks and they said that they could get a screen by the following day. So I left my phone with them. The next day the associate calls and apologized because after assembling my phone while replacing the screen, the touchscreen didn't work. She explained that this was an issue with the screen. And that she would have another screen the next day. I explained to her that I needed a phone for personal reasons and so she gave me a loaner phone for the evening. Which was an extremely good gesture of good faith. I received a call the next day informing me that my phone was ready. When I went to the store to pick it up I had also ordered a tempered glass screen protector for a few extra $$ and for my troubles the associate let me have the screen protector for free for turning a 90-120 minute job into a 2 day job. Although it wasn't their fault they still apologized sincerely. Great associate with a professional quality of work. read more

Very pleased with customer service and expertise here. Dropped my iPhone 7 when out of case and the face cracked. Rode it out for a while but today the screen stopped functioning. Richmond Geeks saved the day! I initially went to the Batteries Plus down the street, but they had no one trained to fix a 7 screen tonight. I'm grateful that they referred me here! I got here at 20 til 7 and figured they wouldn't be able to perform the service tonight since they closed at 7 but they graciously offered to do the work anyways. The price wasn't as low at BP, but they did a great job and were super friendly and accommodating so I don't mind having to shell out an extra 20 bucks. read more

Richmond Geeks went above and beyond on sooo many levels ... There was a miscommunication about what I needed for my computer (there was a delay in the start-up, and it updated repeatedly), they thought I was ok with it being completely wiped clean to "start over" - but I hadn't backed it up (probably something I should have known to do). I had all my photos for my 8 year olds entire life and my Master Degree papers and projects; needless to say I was DEVASTATED. They worked very hard and did everything they could and RECOVERED everything (it took several weeks). Then they didn't even charge me! What a wonderful and sweet gesture. Best Christmas Present Ever - Thank You Richmond Geeks, and by the way the computer is working wonderfully. read more

5 stars on customer service. I originally had a little bit of a hiccup with my phone repair but they made it right at no additional cost and even fixed part of my phone that I didn't even ask to fix! (Back screen was cracked and very VERY small black spot on my front screen near the clock) I've been going to these guys for a few years now, they certainly didn't disappoint. Will continue to use their services in the future. read more

Richmond Geeks fixed 3 iPads and my phone 2x for me. They are very reasonable and will offer you great prices when they fix multiple things for you. They were very professional and I recommend them. In fact, when I asked them about a service, they actually said I didn't need it...so they weren't trying make a sale. They are good people to do business with. read more

Walked in and got a fast, friendly and free diagnosis for my boyfriend's broken iPhone 5 rear camera. For just $55, they replaced the entire camera with new hardware and its looking, and working, great. We even decided to have a new tempered glass screen protector installed for only $20 more (he's prone to dropping--and breaking--anything expensive!) All of this was done while we went next door for lunch. Excellent service; I'll be back!! read more

They were nice, but that's were it stopped. I broke my phone screen and I went to them to get it fixed. The first screen left blue and white spots on it. So I went back and asked for another one. The second one did the same. So I asked for a refund, which they gave me after putting back a cracked screen on (which surprisingly didn't give me the blue stuff...later on that). I went straight to fruit fixed in Carytown and got a screen fixed there. It's as good as new now. The blue spots were from using a non apple screen (a third party). Fruit Fixed is one of the only stores in Richmond (aside from Apple) that uses Apple screens. They are nice, and seem helpful with other things. Just don't go for an iPhone screen replacement. read more

I recently took my computer back due to a faulty repair on their behalf. In their system there was no record of the service that they performed despite me having a record on my charge card. Excuses were given that they couldn't access tickets prior to May yet they were able to find a work for me from December. The man I spoke to was rude and not willing to help rectify the situation. He left me sitting at the counter as I waited for a reply from my husband - he walked out the door. I then had to ask the man in the back if he could help me. They wanted to charge me again to repair the faulty part they installed. I was constantly questioned as to why I had not come in until now and I aimply states that I was not comfortable going out since mid March due to. COVID-19. I even had to ask this man to put on a mask. Our experiences at Richmond Geeks has been frustrating - they replaced our battery and our computer still didn't work properly. Next they persistently told my husband that we had the wrong charger. It was the one that came with the computer. Next they said our charging port was bad so we paid for that service and part. Since the. Our computer still will not charge or run correctly when plugged in. Their customer service was awful. I will never recommend them or use their services read more

I Phone 6 Plus wasn't working due to the charge port being dirty. The guy took it too the back ...came back in like 3 min and plugged in a charger and it was good to go .. for free. Very awesome customer service. The next time my husband breaks his phone we will def come here. Thanks guys!! :) read more

Honest, quick service. I cracked the glass on my iPhone 4s and it was back in 40 minutes for a fair price.

Walked in with a cracked iphone screen. I waited in the store while they replaced it and got it back an hour later. I'm not sure what the other person is talking about in regards to the home screen sticking up higher than the glass. I did not have that problem. The store is very mom and pop style. What you see is what you get vibe. I put a screen protector on my phone (that I got there) and haven't had any issues with it being dirty or having trouble cleaning as previous reviewer stated. It's been 6 months and my phone works fine. It stuck a little the first day or 2, but after that it was working normally as before. read more

I wouldn't even give them one star. They did a horrible job at replacing my iPhone screen. They said they use top quality replacement screens but it's a lie. Once I received my phone, the color on the screen was different and you could see tiny dots under certain apps. Do not waste your money here. read more

I took my laptop to them for a graphics card related issue. I was charged $100 for wrong diagnosis, they did not fix the problem and then I had to listen to a gratuitous speech to throw away the laptop. " Last time I checked, the repair shop is where you go when you didnt want to buy a new machine. " Poor attitude, incompetence and the nerve to charge a fee and then give me a spiel ...Never going back there.... read more

I've needed a new battery for my iPhone 4s for months, but put it off because I didn't want to send the phone in to Apple. I found Richmond Geeks online, and saw they they handle battery replacements, as well as screen, camera, and speaker replacements. I went in on a Friday afternoon, and I was in and out in under 10 minutes, and it only cost $45. The battery is Apple brand, and is guaranteed for 3 months. I was able to see a major difference in the battery life. The employees were very friendly, and also gave me tips on how to maximize the battery. I will definitely use them in the future! read more

I went to Richmond geek because my phone was opening files and it had lines down the center of the screen they fixed my phone in a reasonable amount of time and their prices are not bad for their service I would recommend this company to anyone that needs their iPhone fixed read more

They fixed my wife's totally broken iPhone 5c screen in about 20 minutes for about $175. Friendly staff with good customer service. No lines like the Apple Store. Can't say anything bad beyond the distance from my house and total lack of decor in the store... fill the rest of the room with vintage arcade games or something... make a couple of extra bucks while people wait! read more

They are very helpful, professional, and friendly. I walked in right at closing time with a very broken iPhone 6 -- cracked glass and distorted screen. They kindly stayed open longer to help me. In less than 20 minutes I had a new screen and my phone was up and running again. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend them! read more

The staff at Richmond geeks were very helpful. I've been to them twice for laptop repairs. They were technically sound, and eager to help. Would certainly return of I need electronic repairs. read more

The men working didn't seem all that professional and when I got my phone back I saw they had made calls from it. The replacement glass for my iPhone is not very good. It's not as thick as Apple glass and the home button sticks up past the glass. The glass is also impossible to keep clean. I have to take it out of the case and clean the screen every day just from using the screen. read more

The worst place I have ever been. The service was horrible and they are ill-equipped and totally erased our phone and then claimed that we did it. This is a joke and it's overpriced so don't come here. read more

The best service for an undiagnosed iPad problem we could imagine. We were very touched by the joy these young men took in quickly identifying what was wrong and getting it corrected at a fair price. We drove from Williamsburg to Richmond for the repairs on the advice of the Hampton Roads Academy IT. Absolutely worth the effort! In fact it is hard to believe that any rating here of anything under 5 stars could be other than a sour-grapes review by a competitor. read more

Richmond geeks has helped me out with two iPhone repairs. They fixed a cracked screen on my iPhone 4 in 30 minutes while I waited, and most recently were able to bring my iphone5 back to life after a trip in the washer (with a new home button and LCD screen). Great, fast service, and so thankful to them for saving me from buying a new phone!! read more

My Samsung Galaxy was having issues with the charging port, thought I had to end up buying a new phone since I got it repaired couple of times in other places and still was having the same problem. Richmond Geeks, was recommended to me by the people from Best Buy, where I originally bought my phone, went there and they offered me a wireless charger, which was a great solution to my problem, since buying a new phone was not in my budget at the moment, they offer great customer service, fast and are very pleasant. I highly recommend this place, besides English, they also speak Spanish and Arabic! read more
