Great service! I did get an immediate response with an estimate for the repair. The screen on my phone had turned off. They said it was because I had dropped it. I said I dropped the phone over two years ago but they said it does take time for the damage to get worse over time. I suppose that's what happened in this case. They ordered the part and it came in within two days. Once they called, I asked if I could bring the phone in that day and they said yes. They got it repaired in one hour. Friday was errand day and I had put off fixing my son Cole's tablet for long enough (6 months plus). I called I Rite to make sure they had the screen for the iPad mini and confirm the price of $89. I Rite is easily found by GPS or just head to Short Pump Cinema and it's on the left two doors down. It's a quaint little repair shop that does wonders. There is a large parking lot and several restaurants in walking distance to check out while they repair your gear. I remember in the not so distant past if broke the screen on your laptop it was toast. You were better off replacing the whole thing due to the cost of replacing the screen. I am amazed to see how far we have come. They had the screen I needed in stock, under a $100, and it was done in an hour &1/2. It almost seems unreal. The techician Cameron, was helpful, and courteous. I appreciated his honesty when giving advice on the pros and cons of of repair vs replacement. The whole process took about an hour and it looked brand new when it was done. My son has been using it for the last few days and is so happy. Very impressed with this place. The owner, Lee, was very quick to respond to my Yelp bid for iPhone repair. CJ repaired my iPhone which had a broken back glass. It takes several hours to replace this. Their price was almost half what others were charging. Coming from a strong customer service background, my experience with this company is appalling. You're better off paying the extra $20 and getting your phone fixed at the Apple Store. These people run their business like a shady used car sales company. I made the mistake of giving them my phone to repair. First off, the online quote is off by roughly $30 (I paid just over $130 for iPhone 5). I gave them my phone to repair a broken screen- the only problem with the phone was a broken screen. I received it back with a non working camera, shorter battery life, and the phone getting extremely warm during a charge. Their 90-day warranty is garbage. I received my phone in worse condition that I gave it to them in terms of its worth- the apple warranty is completely voided as soon as they touch it. I dropped my iPhone 4S and shattered the screen after a crazy night with my friends. Not only was the glass broken, but the display was all messed up too, with a loose connection and lots of dead spots. I brought my phone in on my lunch hour and it was fixed in about 30 minutes (while I shopped at Barnes and Noble next door). You can't even tell it's not the original screen. I wish there was a way to rate multiple aspects of the business. the customer service and knowledge of the staff is definitely 5 stars. very courteous, and efficient. however, I got my iphone 7+ screen replaced two weeks ago (for the first time) and within a week, it was faulty...not picking up my touch, and magically pressing buttons on its own. I took it back today, and within 20 minutes it was not working again. I took it back again, and they told me it was a motherboard issue sustained when my phone initially cracked, the reason i first went in for repair. this is not the case, as my phone worked perfectly while cracked for over 3 weeks and was only faulty once it was repaired with their screens. once i explained this to the staff, i was offered a full refund. if they had better screens, I would not hesitate to give them 5 stars! read more

Short story: I 100% recommend i-Rite. Long story: I went 11 years of iPhone ownership without ever cracking my screen. But in a few short seconds, I reluctantly joined the ever growing band of cracked screeners. This happened on a Tuesday evening and I didn't have the patience to wait until Sunday afternoon for an appointment at the Apple store, especially since tiny pieces of glass were already falling out of the phone. So on Wednesday morning, I contacted a bunch of iPhone repair places through Yelp for quotes. I-Rite was the closest shop that didn't require an appointment. I walked in around 12:45 pm that same day and by 1:20 pm I had a phone with a brand new screen. That was about 3 weeks ago and I've had no issues with the repair. Well worth the $79. read more

Absolutely Terrible customer experience and service! Replaced I-phone 5 screen and place was recommended by co-worker in December 2014. Place has counter people inexperienced in technology and not even solid small business experience. The person that helped me in December noted that sometimes the screen can pop off and reiterated if it happens to bring back and they would fix/replace. Never pointed out a tiny little sign on wall no where near counter stating 90 day warranty in tiny print! Screen popped off early May. Took in shop- sorry we can slap some glue or you will have to pay for screen replacement again! I ask to speak to store manager/owner Lee. He was too busy apparently to come deal with the customer...I left and phone called from parking lot and ask the high school kid to speak to Lee the owner. He said- "I'm sorry- he is not in today"- what a blatant lie being that I was just in store and he walked in back of store and spoke with him! Lee calls me back and reiterates we can slap some glue on it or replace it again and give a nominal discount on another screen replacement instead of doing the right thing and honoring there work already paid for. I told him I already had invested enough in the phone and would just upgrade to an I-phone 6. Also, let him know they need to move the 90 day warranty sign to counter and call it out to customers and should at least come out in person to address the customers need as the inexperienced counter talent can't handle the customers. This Place is ran like a cheap car dealer. I proceeded to let him know that I would pass my information onto the BBB and negative review on Yelp, etc. Lee the owner of this Local Richmond store says "My father resides high up with the BBB so good luck- click". This owner hung up on his past customer, potential future customer, and any recommendations of friends, family, colleagues in the Richmond, Va. Area are now out the window. I brought my iPhone to iRite to repair a defect in the equipment they replaced on 8.27.14. After speaking to the clerk, I was told that they only warranty their products for 1 week (not much confidence in their product) and that I would have to pay full cost if I wanted it to be fixed. When I asked for another solution I was told "it is what it is". It seems as if iRite only values their consumer prior to the sale and has lost the art of customer service. I would suggest shopping with a retailer that is willing to earn your business instead of one that expects it. read more

So, someone cracked the screen on my Samsung Galaxy S6 (not me, the ground did it) and I needed information from the phone, and I wanted to have it as a back up. I read the reviews on Yelp and they were helpful. So I went into the store and the service tech looked at my phone for about 1 minute and said, "No problem, I can have it fixed today if you like". Not only did I have my phone back and fixed on the same day, but I also paid $50 less that the other locations that I got quotes from. I all but obliterated my iphone 6 plus a month ago. This was the second time in 6 months. I'm terrible with phones. After the first time, I dropped the insurance because I heard about this place, and I was like worse case scenario, I can get it fixed for what the insurance deductible was and I don't have to pay the month to month fee. It was well worth it! I called iRite, scheduled my appointment, dropped off my equipment (it was broken so bad that the phone was literally curved), and went to lunch. When I stopped back in, I grabbed my phone (good as new), paid my bill and was on my way. Love these guys, so glad I had someone I could call! read more

I must say I am disappointed with this company and can not recommend them to anyone. Several weeks ago I upgraded to the the iPhone 6. Verizon was offering 200 for my iPhone 5 as a rebate. However my power button did not function. They said that if I got it fixed they could still do the trade in. I went to irite where they said it would be 75 to get it fixed or they would buy it from me for 125. I would have done it right then but my new phone was back ordered so I couldn't sell it to them just then and be without a phone. I return to irite expecting perhaps the price would go down a bit because of the passage of time. I am informed that because of the power button they can give me 30. They tell me no one offered me 125. I was unaware that they even bought phones and the sole reason I was in there was the broken power button. Now I am stuck because it is too late to have it repaired and give it to Verizon. Just a bad experience. You are better off elsewhere. read more

The spiderweb of cracks in the glass made it look terminal to me and i was imagining the effect that the cost of a new one was going to have on my diminishing bank account. But someone suggested that i take it to iRite. And i did. They suggested that i just replace the glass, about $125 and done in 20 minutes. (I had already tried verizon who wanted to replace the entire screen which was still working.) So in twenty minutes i walked out with a happy daughter who now thought of me as the magic dad. The screen had gone all black, and while I could hear the rings when a phone call came in, I couldn't answer because the swipe wasn't working.
