The first thing that Mr. fix needs to correct is his attitude! Super rude Asian man at the desk! First, he totally derailed the customer in front of me and cuts down his phone for it not being the latest model. Then after I had had multiple phone calls with the same individual giving him the model number part and all computer info over the phone I still had to drive to Stony Point & when I asked how long it would take, he kept going on and on about the price & he told me that it's going to be very expensive to fix the computer screen which had a crack in it and when I asked if they were genuine dell parts he flipped out on me. He literally said you don't understand and started shoving the computer at my face at which point I started to pack it up in my bag and he continue to leave his store and follow me down the sidewalk yelling at me, in front of other customers, who were shopping about my lack of ability to understand & being rude because I wouldn't stand there & let him continue to yell at me. I have NEVER been compelled to write a Yelp review but today, as I leave this "business" for the FOURTH time without the service completed that I paid in full 13 days ago for...it have decided that the only recourse I have left is to speak the only language the manager/owner/operator seems to value and respect: Yelp reviews. On 3 separate instances, Mr. Fix has ham-handedly mismanaged my service request to upgrade my MacBook from 512 GB to 2 TB hard drive. First, after initially quoting me for a hard drive, installation and data transfer, I was given a completion date of 6 days from drop off and payment of a 70% deposit. I returned on the promise date at 7PM only to be told that 2 hard drives had been purchased and that neither worked. The "right" hard drive had been ordered and would arrive in 2-3 days. The data transfer would take a couple of days and a new promise date was set. I called prior to driving to the Stony Point location but no one answered the business phone. When I arrived on that date, I was told that the hard drive had just been delivered so I should come back again in a few days. Frustrated, I did return only to be told when I arrived that my device was not ready and that an outside specialist of some sort had been called in to do a diagnostic...for which I would be charged $30 and the service would not be completed for "3-4 days." I called on the 3rd day and was told that while it was possible that my device would be ready by 7PM, they couldn't assure me that it actually would be so we agreed that the next day, Saturday at noon, my MacBook would be ready for pickup. Based on my previous experiences and the fact that random, useless trips to this mall are not convenient, I asked that if delays or setbacks were discovered that I be notified by call, email, text message or smoke signal. Mr. Fix agreed. Alas, here I am today, downloading Yelp! and over sharing with strangers to dissuade potential patrons to avoid this unfortunate matrix of underwhelming customer service. The phone call I asked for to inform me NOT to show up or to manage my expectations...the technician initially insisted that he called on to realize after checking that he transposed 2 digits. Bottom line...no MacBook for me again today. I am now stuck between the hard place of demanding a refund, retrieving my device and waiting for my $300+ refund to post to my account OR waiting until the manager/owner/operator ambles his way into his shop to bring in an adaptor necessary to initiate my data transfer now that the right ONE TB hard drive has finally been installed for the same price that a 2 TB hard drive and data transfer was quoted...almost 2 weeks later. The damn MacBook still isn't done and they still can't definitely tell me when I can expect to receive my device. Get THIS: the "problem" is that I have over 500 GBs to transfer. NO SHIT! That's why I'm here! And THAT'S why I am never coming back here once I do retrieve my device. I suggest that you give a hard pass as well. UPDATE: As a punishment or consequence of my negative (BUT 100% accurate) Yelp! review, the manager/owner/operator (Muhammad) called me moments ago to tell me that Mr. Fix would suspend the repair that I paid for and he refunded me my money. Husband's iPhone screen cracked, and got it repaired here - after a few days he noticed the screen would stop responding to touch commands and so he brought it in. They said to turn it off and back on again. 30 days+ it's still having issues, but more frequently - even during phone calls. Mind you, he never had this problem before the screen was repaired. Clearly it's an issue with the connection to the screen, but the business said they'll have to charge us again since it's past 30 days. For a problem THEY CAUSED. I had dropped my phone 4-5 weeks prior to bringing it in to fix a minor touch screen issue. I am now out over $400 with a phone that has more issues than I went in with. I was told it was not their fault for the issues even though my phone had zero of the issues it now has after their "repairs". My phone now glitches while I am not even touching the screen which disables my phone and it no longer charges which was not an issue prior to my visit here. My son's phone appeared unrepairable after getting slammed with a car trunk. It took Mike a few hours but he was able to replace the screen and the back of the phone to look like new. He was so helpful and had great customer service. Unfortunately the speaker does not work which means he can't hear the phone work but Based on how bad it looked I think he is lucky. The price was very reasonable (not to a 13 year old paying for it) but cheaper than a competitor price we looked at. We hope we don't have to go back soon but would highly recommend it. read more

I requested a quote via Yelp and was communicating with the owner to set an appointment. Their hours say they're open on Sunday's which is when I wanted to come in, but they told me they weren't open on Sunday's (despite all public info saying otherwise). I set an appointment for 10am Monday and drove 30 mins out of the way to get there on time for my appointment. When I got there, the store was closed. I waited for 30 mins and still no one showed up. I messaged the owner while waiting and got a response at 11am saying a tech had finally showed up. What is the point of setting an appointment if the staff doesn't show up or acknowledge a schedule?!? iPhone 5 fell t work, cracked and was none too happy. Sent a message via Yelp and these guys messaged back with a quote in about 10 minutes. Went to Stony Point location and the service was outstanding, fast, and WELL worth it. I was able to get the hard cover on my phone installed and will be back to get the iPhone 4s (yes, plural) repaired for my sons. Now I just need to quit dropping phones. Went to get my screen replaced July 6th, 2020. LCD literally cracked (not screen, LCD) within two days from being in my purse. Techs would not work with me on getting it replaced which I feel should have been done due to the very cheap LCD which was used. I have had my phone for years and it took a very long time for the screen to go out but only 2 days with their LCD. Wouldn't recommend, go to someone with better LCDs. And then, they also charged me $105, but when I went back to show them what happened, it was a different tech and he said $130. Does not make sense. read more

I took my phone here because the screen was cracked. The screen was repaired quickly, less than 1 hour. After replacement, the touch screen was glitchy and certain areas of the screen would not respond. I took the phone back a few days later and they discovered the screen connection was damaged when the screen was replaced. They had to ship my phone off to have it repaired and I was without a phone for 10 days. They made this repair free of charge. The biggest issue is the battery life is horrible after the screen was replaced. It used to last 2 days and now it won't last 1/2 a day. So either 2 things happened: The new screen is cheap and the amp draw is extremely high or the battery was swapped out when repaired...Honestly, I would have rather lived with a cracked screen than a phone that dies in 4 hours. read more

I'm going to give y'all one heck of an honest review because I am tired of reading fake reviews or reviews from people who know nothing about iphones. READ IN FULL IF YOU WANT THE LOWDOWN ON THIS PLACE. I went here when my phone broke because it was cheaper than Fruit Fixed and all the other places in town. Yes, they fixed it quickly and yes, it appeared brand new. DO NOT be fooled. What appears fine on the outside is not the case with the internal parts. I started to notice that when I'd tap on one app it would start opening others and doing things on its own such as calling people. I went to the apple store to see if there was an issue with the new software update because they often have bugs and they told me it was an issue with the screen repair. I was skeptical at first because all stores tell you its not their fault. Apple was in fact correct. My screen broke again from a minor fall (call me clumsy). I went to Mr Fix to see if I had a warranty and could get a free repair cause it was only a month after I had it fixed. They had put a screen protector on the last time and said that since the actual screen broke under the protector, they would not fix it for free. The man was nice and said he could give me another free protecter but I didn't want another one that didn't help. (that is the only reason I give them 2 stars) I had the Asurion people finally come and fix it (for $29) and he noticed lots of messed up issues with the wiring from the Mr Fixit repair such as missing screws, twisted cables, ect. Also, any store except Apple and associated insurance companies use second hand parts and not true parts from Apple manufactures. Therefore, those phones fixed by Mr Fixit and Fruit Fixed are worse off. Do not trust these second hand companies and reviews from people who do not know much about phones. I am under 21 and do not work for any of these businesses but I have studied a lot about Apple and their phones and coding so I know a lot about them to write this review. read more
