This is one of the few places that I found to replace the battery on my apple smart watch. It is located in a mall area in the short pump area. Plenty of parking. The store itself is pretty small with no frills inside, which was fine. They had to send my watch to another store to get it replaced so it took 3 business days. The cost was around $125. Kind of high for a watch battery but cheaper than a new smart watch. My only complaint is that I took my watch in because of a bad battery so my % battery on drop off was like 10%. When I picked my new battery watch up, it was a 3%... I would have liked to have had them charge it some at least so that I could see that the new battery was replaced. It is kind of like picking up a watch or clock at another store and it isnt wound or set to the right time. But it worked find once i charged it I was glad to do this route vs a new watch. read more

Fruit Fixed Short Pump - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Henrico, Virginia

Had an issue where my desktop PC got fried through the ethernet cable. I called and they said they could analyze if for me to see what all needed repaired. I brought it in and every time I called to check on their progress they would tell me they didn't have the equipment at this location to work on it. I finally just picked it up after about a week and took it somewhere else. They shouldn't advertise PC repair at this location. read more

Replaced cracked iphone screen. The process didn't take long. Was reasonable price. The staff was Friendly and helpful.

Absolutely horrible time with this place I gave them a phone to fix the screen and they gave it back to me with the screen installed wrongfully and the cameras on both sides were broke and I went back and had them fix it and when I got it back again the whole back screen was shattered caused by them and they did NOT own up to they're mistakes. read more

Phil fixed my cracked phone screen in 45 minutes. Apple said it would take 4-7 business days and geek squad was just as slow. Very happy I found this place and it was wayyy cheaper than having to get a brand new phone. read more

I came in to get my iPhone 12 screen fixed and they were very helpful. I can shortly after they opened and there was no line. A worker greeted me at the counter and i was helped instantly. At the time they did not have iPhone 12 screens in stock but he informed me they would get one a few hours later. Once they got it the phone would be ready in 30-60 minutes. I had no idea how expensive the new iPhone screens were, my total was $235 ( I was used to paying $100 just a few years back with the iPhone 8). Long story short invest in a 9H glass screen protector and a drop tested case!! It will save you a headache and if your phone screen does crack id defiantly come here. read more

My wife is having surgery and will need to be in the hospital for 7-8 days afterwards. "I'd like to have a picture by my bed" was the request. I found two digital photo frames and said, "I'll put some pictures in these for you". Neither would work, Both were over 10 years old. Things I learned: * Fruit Fixed is great about finding one was junk. Kodak designed one frame so that you can't replace the battery. * Fruit Fixed got the 2nd one to work and sent me to Best Buy for an AC Adapter. $25 solution * Good service does still exist. Fruit Fixed didn't charge for the acessment. * The picture the wife wants for the bedside--It isn't of me. She wants a picture of our dog, Jack. Guess I know my place--below the dog! Check out Fruit Fixed. Note: Don't go on Saturday about 5--too many movie people. Lot is deserted most of the week. NO wonder Fruit Fixed is open to 8:00 I'm sure they make a lot of money off the movie people. read more

Unfortunately, Yelp won't allow 0 stars, so alas this location gets 1 stars. I went to this location today to inquire about getting my PC screen fixed. The rep took a look at my PC, looked up the part and told me it was going to be $150. I was fine with that and ready to leave my PC there to be repaired. However, he told me I had to pay upfront for the service. Welp, that immediately turned me off from patronizing this business. Why would I pay upfront for the service when I'm leaving my PC with them?! He refused to service my PC without upfront payment, citing other customers have abandoned their devices. What does that have to do with me? At any rate, I left with my PC and unfixed screen and will be patronizing another business. read more

I went July 11th to get the screen of my phone fixed. First the quote I was given by the owner vs the quote I received at the store was completely different. The gentleman at the store told me my option was only the $178 package. I mention what I was told and was told I was wrong there wasn't a $138 option. Given my phone is my lively hood I proceeded to get it fixed. After tax and a $30 dollar discount I am $2 more than the price given to me that brought me to the place in The first place. 30 mins ago I'm sitting on the sofa. My phone falls 1ft and 3 inches onto padded carpet my whole phone separates, not crack, not make a sound, effortlessly separates. Like a dab of glue to hold it together separates. I call the store in short pump and the store on Cary town. Your tell me I have to pay again for you to correctly glue my phone after you stiffed me in the first place?!? I don't recommend! read more

I'm pretty tech savvy, so when I locked myself out of a new-to-me Macbook before I'd even transferred the data, I was pretty disgusted with myself. During the pandemic, Apple Store's Genius Bar @ Short Pump has been consistently booked for months, and attempts to resolve my dilemma over the phone with Apple were time consuming and unfruitful (pun intended). Out of frustration, I began to look for someplace local to assist. I was encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this shop/location. I messaged ahead to be sure my problem was something they could tackle and I was invited to bring my laptop to the store. I met Tyler upon arriving and I told him the steps I'd taken that painted me into my tech corner. Tyler asked for an hour or so to look at it. When I returned to the shop, Tyler presented my Macbook...unlocked and freshly factory reset. My heart finally slid down out of my throat for the first time in days. I'm thankful to know that I have a reliable resource when I need it! read more

My son's phone had been charging sporadically, and finally stopped charging at all while he was on a school trip to Disney. I messaged the shop through the Yelp app, and I quickly received a response from Justin, the owner. When my son returned home, our first stop was the Short Pump location. Zach quickly assessed the situation and removed a large amount of lint from the charging port. Plugged it in and it immediately began charging. He even checked my phone and cleaned the charging port on it also. I asked him how much I owed him, and he said no charge. Wonderful experience! read more

He was very efficient and the price was outstanding! I highly recommend this read more

I have used Fruit Fixed more times than I'd like to admit. But when you have an extended family consisting of 3 teens traveling between parents, accidents are bound to happen. The staff has always been super helpful. Everything is always done quickly and beautifully. Prices are reasonable and the appropriate parts are used (no cutting corners). The one time I did have an issue it was taken care of wonderfully and in a way that the kept a valued customer. Thank you Fruit Fixed! read more

Update: the owner of this establishment saw my review and was very disappointed my service experience wasn't excellent. He immediately had the employee who worked on my iPad call to apologize and set up a way to fix the machine properly. The owner, Mr. Carroll then promptly sent me an email apologizing. He was very professional and I could tell he deeply cared about his business and it's reputation. Because I lived out of town, he made accommodations for me to mail my device in for a proper repair and he mailed it back. His correspondence and manner in which he professionally dealt with my complaints have erased any regret I had for giving this local establishment my business. Prior review: Three stars may be nice or mean I can't tell. Here is my story. I'm a born local who has been away for several years, I stop in Richmond often to visit family. I have many friends who highly recommended this place. None of them gave me a testimony, more of like a "hey support this local business" situation. I wish they did a great job, being a local business and all. My iPad had been dropped by my daughter, cracked screen. We had it repaired in the boonies where we were living at the time. The repaired screen fell off in a few days. So a few months later I take it to fruit fixed since we were coming through town. They said it'd take a day or two and they'd call me. I told them we don't currently live in town and I'd have to pick it up when we come back through. They told us no problem. A week passed and I don't get a call. So I call the next time we come through they said it was ready to go. I go pick it up. The screen wasn't secured down. I mentioned this to a distracted guy behind the counter and he assured me it was just the extra tempered glass I asked them to put on. No, it wasn't. There was a gap between the machine and the glass facade. Why would he tell me that? I turned it on to make sure it worked. The touch screen wouldn't work. The guy behind the counter apologized and said he wasn't the one who worked on it and normally that kind of thing is checked. He could have it fixed in I don't remember how long. I couldn't stay I was leaving town. No big deal I told him I'd come back next week when I'm through town again. So again a week passed and I didn't get a call. I called them to make sure it was ready and tested. They said yes. So I pick it up and test it. The touch screen worked thankfully but the gap was still there. They again tried to tell me it was the glass... I showed him how it wasn't just the glass and he said oh yeah it's because there is a dent in the iPad that won't allow the screen to go down flat. Why I wasn't called and warned is beyond me. I do recommend to the business that if you are being paid to fix a problem and an unknown problem comes up... tell the consumer and agree upon a plan of action. So I brought up my concerns about moisture getting in the iPad as there is a gap as well as a greater risk that the screen will become unfixed again. I was assured that humidity would not cause a problem. So what I wish happened was that they checked to make sure it was done properly the first time. I wish they told me they discovered the dent and told me weather or not they were able to fix the dent. I still don't know if the dent is repairable, if it is then I would lower my star rating to one. I was given 10$ off the tapered glass for the inconvenience of it not having been checked the first time around. So I paid over 100$ for the job that doesn't result in a fully repaired device. read more

FF saved me from having to spend over $1000 on a new iphone after having submerged mine in water. For $200, I have a like-new phone again.

My son dropped my iPhone 6 trying to hand it to me. The glass screen shattered in several places. My son was sad, but I told him not to worry and that I would get it fixed. I used Yelp to determine the three best places to replace the screen. Fruit Fixed in Short Pump not only had the best reviews, they also had the best price. And to top it off, the owner sent me an email with a $10 discount via Yelp. My wife took the phone out to Fruit Fixed and in less than a half hour, it was fixed. We were given the choice of an OEM screen or a generic screen for about $15 less. We went with the generic screen because the phone is so old and we couldn't be more pleased. If I ever have another iPhone issue, I'm going to go back to Fruit Fixed. My wife reports that the employees were very polite but had never seen the $10 off coupon before, however, they accepted it without a hassle. A+++ to the Fruit Fixed team. read more

UPDATE: I am typing this on my macbook because I GOT IT BACK! YAY! Everything works, minus the keyboard illumination aspect of it, but I called and it's going to be fixed/connected tomorrow. I'm so glad I just live 10 minutes away haha. Also, the employee I was speaking about earlier's name is Tre'von, he was super friendly and apologetic about this whole thing, even though a majority of it had nothing to do with him. At the end of the day, I'm happy with how the owner took care of everything after learning about it and I will be coming back if another one of my apple products breaks, as well as recommend it to my friends. Thank you FruitFixed! My earlier review: so my macbook's trackpad randomly stopped working 3 days ago, and 2 days ago I took it to fruit fixed, left it over night, got a call from someone the next day saying it'll be __x__ amount of dollars to replace it and someone's getting the part at their cary street location as we speak. and it'll be done the next day. so for documentation purposes, this was tuesday. today is thursday. so wednesday I called and asked when can I pick it up, they said they JUST now got the part and will need another day. so here I am, thursday, and trying to pick up my laptop. the store is basically empty but 1 employee. albeit, this employee is probably the most helpful out of the other like 3 I've spoken to. we come to find out NO ONE has fixed or replaced anything on my macbook. so what originally was told to me what would take 1 day, will now be 3.5. I am a student. this macbook isn't a toy to me and i need it to work and I need it to be in my house. They said they would knock it down $20, and I hate to be a problem, i've worked in customer service for almost 10 years. I know how hard it is to deal with an unhappy customer. I feel this problem is with management and or that barely any of them (minus the 1 employee i spoke with today) gives a crap about the customer. i'm genuinely shocked of how great reviews this place gets. maybe this is a bad week for them? I hope in the future management spends more time training their employees about time management skills and customer service abilities. I barely ever write reviews, so that's how dissatisfied I am with this place. it would have almost been worth it to have the Apple Store replace the part for double the price of fruit fixed. UPDATE: very soon after posting my review, the owner had the employee I was just speaking with call me and let me know that he saw my review and he is greatly sorry for what's happened, and I will be taken care of when I pick up my macbook. I will edit my review once that happens! read more

What a great business to work with! Brought in my husband's iPad with a broken screen, was quoted a 2 hour turn around, so just went to the mall and did some Christmas shopping while I waited. Hands down best phone repair experience I ever had. I have an older iPhone and fruit fixed are the only repair stores in Richmond that I've found to work on any phones older than a 7. Originally I came in for a broken screen which was replaced but the adhesive came undone, when I came in to have it corrected a few weeks later not only did they fix my screen free of charge, but they went above and beyond by fixing my vibrate and Touch ID sensor (thanks Fleetwood great work!) And it was done in less than 30 minutes! Great customer service, and my phone works better than ever. I'm extremely impressed. read more

I've heard great things and read great things about fruit fixed so naturally they were my #1 choice when I cracked my iPhone screen. Took it in to be fixed and these guys had me in and out within a hr! AWESOME! The service was great the guys were great! However after I got my phone back it would randomly freeze and the buttons wouldn't work, totally unresponsive. I called them back and they said they would check it out and replace the screen again if need be. Fast forward to today... I've been back 3 times. 3 damn times!! About 10 min after I leave the store the phone does the same thing. In fact I've had to rewrite this damn review twice because my keyboard on my phone keeps freezing. I don't know if I'm the only lucky one this has happened to but it's really annoying and after 3 times I think it should be fixed by now. Oh well I'll update after I talk to them again, and have my screen replaced again. read more
