Delicious pizza as well as pasta dishes. Highly recommend this eatery! Service was great and staff was very friendly.

Always a solid choice for pizza or sandwiches. Glad to see new owners take it over and bring back a lot of the old classic favorite like Pork Wings, Parlor Burger, and Boards. read more

I've lived in Ahwatukee for 4 years now and never tried this place until last night. The service was on point. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The patio is warm even in the winter. The homemade dressings are delicious and so is the food. Nello knows how to do business. Props to whoever is running this establishment. Your employees are professionals! read more

Great pizza, lots of options to choose from. Prompt seating, excellent wait service, reasonable pricing. Will return often.

I ended up speaking on the phone with the owner of Nello's for about 10 minutes after my last review. He was glad that I actually called in like their response to the review requested. He genuinely cares about making sure that the quality of the food stays the same and is interested in feedback. He wants to make sure that you get a quality pie every time you go there. We went back last night for take out and it was delicious. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms and it was exactly what you would expect from Nello's. Really glad to hear (and taste) that hopefully their quality control issues are worked out, and glad that there is a commitment to making sure that you get what you pay for. We'll be back! read more

Delicious again. We always order the Fritto Misto + side of their housemade marinara. This mixture of calamari & rock shrimp is delicious and the marinara is IMHO much better for dipping than the sauce that comes with the dish. This time we ordered the 14" original crust Classic European pizza add meatball (DO THIS!). Turns out meatball was a fantastic choice and really augmented the rich flavor of this already-delicious pizza. We also ordered the 12" thin crust Wood Fired Yukon Gold + egg pizza to try something new. It was good but I'd like it better if the whole thing had egg on it instead of just the center. Kind of reminded us of breakfast. Glad we tried it but will probably go back to our favorite Pavone Pepperoni again next time. One daughter ordered an 8" Pesto Bianca pizza as well. She let me have a piece and I'll say it was really, really good. That pesto and the sundried tomato they put on there is really tasty! I'd order this again but watch out for those nut allergies - the pesto is walnut based. Another satisfying visit to Nello's! read more

Pizza here is always delicious. Their traditional crust eats like airy focaccia, the right amount of pizza sauce and cheese. On this trip I ventured out of my norm and had their Cesar salad. I asked for the salad to be dressed (as it should be, IMO :-)) the salad hardly had any dressing. The croutons however were delicious! I also ordered the lasagna. It was definitely too spicy for me. Their Italian sausage was just a tad too spicy and either the lasagna or sauce was extra garlicky. The lasagna was also very dry. I guess I'm used to it having bechamel sauce. All in all it wasn't terrible, but definitely not for me. The bread that came with it was delicious though. We'll be back for the pizza for sure! read more

Nello's Ahwatukee - Pizza Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Great food and service! Atmosphere was great too! I am 80% sure they forgot the blue cheese(potent flavor and smell was missing) one of our pizzas which wasn't too big of a deal because they happily gave us a side of it. Our fungi pizza was perfect and delicious. Went there and celebrated 34th birthday evening during covid...thanks for being open and stay safe. read more

Nello's Ahwatukee - Pizza Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I've never actually dined in here, but have ordered takeout a half dozen times. Their pizza is solid. The Hawaiian was good, with thick hunks of pineapple. The sausage and artichokes was good but disappointing in that the 'chokes didn't have much flavor. A more marinated artichoke would have been preferable. The Deluxe Combo has been my favorite, have had it a few times. I've had both the thin and original crust, and I much prefer their thin (which is cut into Chicago squares, btw, while the original is slices). Their lasagna was very good. I highly recommend it. Bit disappointed though that ordering it takeout it didn't come with even a small wedge of garlic toast :( read more

We always have a great time at Nello's. A fantastic environment for family dinner, date night, and to go! We love being served by Mia, Cammie, and Jackie. cannot recommend this place (and these servers) enough!! read more

Great food, atmosphere, and even better service Mia, our server, couldn't have been better.

We used to frequent Nello's often. We enjoyed their salad and pizzas. Staff was always good. About a year ago, things sort of changed. It appears they had some staff turnover; the food wasn't as good. Just a little disappointing. We stopped going. Not a boycott, just stopped. We went back last week, and I am happy to report it was a very good experience. I couldn't tell if they are still having staff turnover, but the food was very good. They don't cut their pizza in squares any longer, which is odd but doesn't really matter. The service was great, and the food was as good as ever. Nellos is back on our list. read more

The food I've experienced at Nellos isnt like any other! The food is savory and enjoyable, the services is kind and welcoming and the drinks are to die for! Mo or Sock Lady is a true staple at Nellos, she is the rock of that restaurant and I can't picture that place without her there. I mean have you seen those chalk board! ( I heard she does them!) GO now to that place and I promise you will not be disappointed and make sure you ask for Mo! Great job by Jackie at Nello'! Very attentive to us as guests/customers, with her pleasant manners and attention to detail! Thanks!! Mike F

I recently went to Nello's Pizza in Ahwatukee and I haven't been in awhile, but I'm glad did! The food was terrific. I normally get my custom pizza, but I was recommended by my waitress Mo, to try something new. She had great insights to all the dishes and I was very satisfied with my choice. She was fun to speak with and she made my day. If you stop in for lunch I would suggest to ask for Mo! Thanks again for an amazing lunch. read more

My favorite dish is the Old World Salad. My kids love their pasta and we love the pizza on wheat dough. The service is always satisfactory!

Service is horrible, the waitress barely came to check on our party. Brought kids food out asked if they could cut into squares, waitress said they had to remake it that couldn't run the pizza cutter through it. brought out other food , didn't bring one pizza out, and when it finally did come to the table it was burnt. Waitress name is Natalie, avoid her at all costs. Stood and rolled her eyes as we talked to the manager. Second time we have had her as a waitress and she is absolutely the worst!!!! Avoid her!!! read more

Been coming here for a few years and always enjoyed their food. Our favorite has been the caprese board which had their awesome walnut pesto. For whatever reason the past few times we ordered it it's missing from the order not sure what's going and why they don't include it any longer very disappointed. Will no longer be going back. read more

The Caprese Board was shared and we all enjoyed it! Love this place will definitely be a regular. read more

The "Old World Classic" salad and house salad dressing is great! But the pizza is just ok. Rosati's and Old Chicago have much better pizza.

Had a terrible experience with Postamtes tonight. Nellos excelled and exceeded my expectations they notified me of the illegal practices of Postamtes. They do not work with them and have many times requested to stop selling their food on their app. Manager spoke with me and tried to comp my meal I did not allow that to happen. Only door dash moving forward. If you have playmates cancel it they make businesses look really bad. read more

Usually my husband and I have date nights at Arrivederci but we decided to go to Nello's Pizzeria for a change. The eggplant parm is to die for. My husband ordered it and I almost ordered another order all to myself! The Murphy pizza was delectable and I am definitely coming back for another slice. Our server Ethan recommended the eggplant parm and was very attentive to our needs. The experience itself was a 10/10 and this might be our new Friday night spot! read more

Check your bill carefully. $4.00 for a ice cube. Greedy owners of what was a neighborhood restaurant

We have been going to Nello's for over 25 years and it has been our favorite go to restaurant. The food has been good and the service has been great. Our last visit to Nello's did not go well and we left before having a chance to order and taste the food. First of all, we got there on Wednesday at 4:30 PM for "fish and chips night" and we asked for a booth and were told there were none available. There were several tables empty and we were told they were reserved. Apparently you can make reservations now (never had the option before) and all these empty table were reserved. We asked the hostess if they still had fish available and she didn't know (that's why were there on Wednesday) and said we should ask our server. The problem was that we didn't see a server for over 10 minutes - no water, no welcome, nothing. After waiting over 5 minutes I asked another server if they could at least get someone to our table so we could get water and find out if they had fish available. We waited another several minutes and still no show of our service person. My wife left in frustration and on the way out I spoke to the manager who immediately threw a new server under the bus. He said our server was doing her first solo service and he apologized. I asked him why nobody else was looking out for her since this was her first night on our own. He apologized again, but I hold the manager responsible for the situation and they were not too concerned about the issue. While we waited for our server there were several other servers walking around together chatting amongst themselves seaming to have a good time. No looks in our direction at all, just busy with themselves. I had to get up and find someone coming out of the kitchen to get some help. This will no longer be our go to restaurant in the future and we may not go back, even for the fish fry. By the way, we had time to look at the menu which the hostess gave us and noticed that that items we normally ordered had a large increase in price - the large Salmon salad was $23.00. Price is not an issue with us, but we know others might want to know that prices have increased substantially under new ownership. We were always OK paying those prices because we wanted the restaurant to survive since it was our favorite. We are not concerned if they stay in business anymore because we probably won't be back. read more

I only do the lunch special and it's good. Usually getting the personal size with pepperoni and diced garlic with the side salad.

If you love pizza Nellos is a nice place for dinner. Nice atmosphere and a short wait.

I absolutely loved the hospitality and the people working there were so quick and nice. The wings were out of this world and the price and range is awesome. Fight night was good and so was happy hour. read more

This place is sooooo good! Their European pizza is the best and their gluten free crust is so delicious - you wouldn't know it's GF! Their Old World Classic salad is great too and loaded with toppings. If you go you must ask for their house dressing - it is the absolute best for salads and dipping pizzas. read more
