Omg I love this place so much!!! The donuts are giant, fluffy, melt in your mouth and so good. I just about died and went to heaven when I realized she gave me hot donuts. I walked back inside and got another half dozen. That was just the glazed donuts. We also ordered sprinkle, Oreo and blue berry cake donuts. Not a single one left. Can not wait to go back again. Best donuts I've had in the area! I'm more old school and usually just go with the glazed donut. So fluffy and soft! It's like they just melt in your mouth. As you can see in the pic, they're huge! I've also had the red velvet, which was great as well. The staff here is very nice and welcoming. Get here early! The smell is what a donut shop should smell like. The ladies working could not be any nicer. And then the donuts. If you are a fan of deep fried sweet dough, you will love this place. Probably in the top 2 or 3 donuts I've had in my 62 years. And then the size of these things is an added bonus!! NC Jelly Donuts, you have won me over! I decided to heed all the rave reviews and make a visit while in Burlington recently. My goodness! These donuts are huge, light and airy, and so delicious! And thankfully, not too sweet. I've been to Daily Donuts many, many times over the years. On a recent visit I was surprised how overly sweet everything was. Normally I go to Carolina Glazed Donuts, which is tasty and very similar in concept and just about in my backyard in Durham. Doesn't seem like much at first glance in the strip mall but this place is Burlington's best kept secret! There was a long line when arrived about 9:30am Saturday AM but it moved quickly and they kept restocking the most popular ones with no issues. Get here early if you want a speciality flavor! Very cool to see the flavored creams being pumped in and every single one was delicious. I visited once several years ago and I believe I ordered a fairly large classic glazed donut. I haven't been able to go back in years. Not sure I've seen those doors while they're open ever since that day, but what I do remember is how soft and extremely delicious that donut tasted. I have been past this place, how many times? I have no idea. Too many to count. Today was the day, sometime after lunchtime, we went in and were immediately greeted by the sweetest lady behind the counter. She asked what we'd like, and we had to admit that we might need a minute to take it all in. She laughed and and let us do just that. In the end, we just got a couple of the regular glazed - which are *easily* twice the size of a Krispy Kreme (my previous all-time favorite) and a chocolate covered custard filled. By the way, they fill the doughnuts to order with your choice of several different fillings. Anyway, the glazed was still warm and was ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL. And, AND... it was like $1.00! A dozen of those is something like $10.50 - that is such an amazing deal. The chocolate covered custard filled was delicious as well. So I've got that going for me, another sweet shop that I'll be dreaming about at night. read more
