As soon as you walk in, you smell nothing but sweetness. The people behind the counter we're very attentive making sure you receive great customer service. I purchased the donut holes and a maple donut and they did not disappoint. I thought there was no one greater than Krispy Kreme, but I was wrong. The donut holes were still nice and soft days later. If you ever near the Burlington area or willing to take the drive try them out you won't be disappointed. You can thank me later. read more

The donuts are great. The staff is very friendly and you can order donuts ahead of time for any occasion.

Absolutely amazing. Get there early as they sell out quickly on the weekends. Much better than the chains. Definitely recommend.

Omg I love this place so much!!! The donuts are giant, fluffy, melt in your mouth and so good. I just about died and went to heaven when I realized she gave me hot donuts. I walked back inside and got another half dozen. That was just the glazed donuts. We also ordered sprinkle, Oreo and blue berry cake donuts. Not a single one left. Can not wait to go back again. It's about a 20 min drive for me, and worth it. read more

Best donuts I've had in the area! I'm more old school and usually just go with the glazed donut. So fluffy and soft! It's like they just melt in your mouth. As you can see in the pic, they're huge! I've also had the red velvet, which was great as well. The staff here is very nice and welcoming. Get here early! The display can sometimes look rather empty because a lot of people have already been here to grab these delicious treats. I feel like most people around here already know that :) read more

This place is worth a stop if you're passing through Burlington. They have huge, delicious yeast doughnuts. Place smells amazing and they'll fill the jelly ones right there after you pick your jelly flavor. They are twice the size of Krispy Kreme and cheaper (not that I don't love my Krispy Kreme). You will not be disappointed. read more

NC Jelly Donuts - Dozen glazed - Donuts Near Me - Burlington, North Carolina

This place always has a line and there is a reason why! There are also regulars I see just about every time who sit together in the booths to catch up! All of the donuts and sweet treats (think apple fritters & cinnamon rolls) are constantly coming out the kitchen hot and fresh!!! Because of the line, a lot of the items are first come first serve if you come during a busy rush hour, so I recommend not having your heart set on something incase it is out! Even when there is a limited selection, there is always something delicious waiting for you!!! I tend to grab a non plain donut like blueberry, twist, cereal covered, or chocolate but this is also the ONE PLACE I'll grab a plain (yet far from basic), fluffy, perfectly glazed donut!!! Even if glazed donuts are not out, ask because they usually have some fresh glazed donuts and donut holes waiting in the back! You can also place an order ahead of time! I noticed this being a popular option for large orders during the holidays! read more

I don't care how far of a detour you have to make, but take your butt to NC Jelly Donuts!!! For an old, fat donut connoisseur, it's like walking into donut heaven. The smell is what a donut shop should smell like. The ladies working could not be any nicer. And then the donuts. If you are a fan of deep fried sweet dough, you will love this place. Probably in the top 2 or 3 donuts I've had in my 62 years. And then the size of these things is an added bonus!! Bigger than any other regular donut, you can't eat more than just 1 or 2 if you squeeze them in. read more

This place is honestly one of the best donut places! It's affordable, the donuts are wonderful and the service is fast, efficient and friendly! The absolute best donuts in the triad area! I come here every few weeks and had to bring some donuts home to my parents when they visited me. The donuts are big, but super light, and incredibly fresh. This time around I had the coconut donut and a few donut holes. Line can be long, but the employees work fast to serve everyone quickly. Prices aren't bad either. It's a hole in the wall place with a few tables if you are looking to eat the donuts there. read more

NC Jelly Donuts, you have won me over! I decided to heed all the rave reviews and make a visit while in Burlington recently. My goodness! These donuts are huge, light and airy, and so delicious! And thankfully, not too sweet. I've been to Daily Donuts many, many times over the years. On a recent visit I was surprised how overly sweet everything was. Normally I go to Carolina Glazed Donuts, which is tasty and very similar in concept and just about in my backyard in Durham. I think out of the three I like NC Jelly's the best and happy to know I can get them in Mebane too! read more

NC Jelly Donuts - a variety of donuts in a box - Donuts Near Me - Burlington, North Carolina

I was told that this donut shop was AMAZING and that I needed to try an apple fritter. I happened to be in the area and saw the sign, so I thought, today is the day!!! I think I came in 5 hours or more hours too late. No apple fritters! UGH I guess the early bird truly does catch the worm. Oh well, moving on...I got a "choose your filling" donut. Shout out to the young lady who suggested Raspberry because it was her fave. Thank you! Great suggestion! The donut was outstanding!!! I tell you, never had a donut like these at KK or DD. It's something about the airy freshness of the donuts. These donuts taste like HOME. I also got a cinnamon roll and a donut twist. I didn't try those but I was told they were off the charts good as well. I will make a point to drop by the next time I am in the area. Perhaps I will catch you all when you have fritters. Cannot wait to give one a try. read more

I visited once several years ago and I believe I ordered a fairly large classic glazed donut. I haven't been able to go back in years. Not sure I've seen those doors while they're open ever since that day, but what I do remember is how soft and extremely delicious that donut tasted. All I have now is a vague memory and a hope that one day the stars will align so that I could once again have access to another one of those scrumptious donuts. read more

I have been past this place, how many times? I have no idea. Too many to count. Today was the day, sometime after lunchtime, we went in and were immediately greeted by the sweetest lady behind the counter. She asked what we'd like, and we had to admit that we might need a minute to take it all in. She laughed and and let us do just that. In the end, we just got a couple of the regular glazed - which are *easily* twice the size of a Krispy Kreme (my previous all-time favorite) and a chocolate covered custard filled. By the way, they fill the doughnuts to order with your choice of several different fillings. Anyway, the glazed was still warm and was ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL. And, AND... it was like $1.00! A dozen of those is something like $10.50 - that is such an amazing deal. The chocolate covered custard filled was delicious as well. So I've got that going for me, another sweet shop that I'll be dreaming about at night. read more
