    Chocolate Donut
    Tammy M.

We stopped by on a Wed morning. It was my daughter's birthday and we wanted to try their "grab and go" cake. I'll get to that later. We also tried the chocolate iced donuts. By far the BEST donut we have ever had !! We also got the fresh baked cinnamon rolls. We weren't going to eat them until the next day so we got the icing to go. We warmed them up the next day. Also super fabulous !! Delicious !! As far as the "grab and go " cake went. This was a loser. Chocolate cake (kinda dry) and the worst part was the vanilla buttercream icing. Just horrible. The four of us all just looked at each other after one bite. Into the trash it went. Maybe it was a bad bake day ?? Next time we will stick to the donuts.

I went to the parade and it was freezing. I googled a coffee shop and this place popped up. After arriving here it was packed inside. The staff was working hard but they greeted everyone that walked in. I ordered hot cocoa and a morning bun with sausage egg and cheese. It was absolutely delicious. The hot cocoa was basic but kept me warmed. I'll come back to try more menu items.

Ok we officially found the best donuts in NC. We were on our way for antiquing adventures and I have been watching Paul's creations for a while on Facebook. Finally! A chance to not just drive 40 minutes for donuts (done it before and so many shops have let me down!) Pauls was exceptional! We got taken care of right away and you could tell they had a busy morning, but there were donuts left at 9:30am on a Saturday. We got three: a sugar, Bavarian cream and raspberry lemonade, plus a coffee. Donuts first: o m g. Incredible. Soft, perfectly proofed, not too sugary and well balanced. The sugar was incredible, Bavarian cream luscious and raspberry lemonade was sweet tart. The only note and it is not a criticism: they were so full! Incredible. The place itself is cute: gave me some old NYC vibes and the donut monsters are wild. Definitely head that way if you, like me, need some good donuts in your life.

Delicious and already on the move.

Welcomed from the moment I walked in the door! The smells should be something you pay for. There's plenty of space to spread out when you're waiting to order and the cases of pastries I purchased a dozen mixed donuts for my team at only $14 and change. This is so amazing, so reasonable! Each one is crafted with love and they even made me two fresh blueberry filled since they were out! You can't find service like this anywhere else. Thank you

Doughnuts on a different level! I've been hearing People comment about these works of wonder so I called the night before for a 7AM pickup the next morning. Got there, picked up two dozen to go and as soon as I grabbed the boxes I knew this was on a DIFFERENT LEVEL! Holy Toledo! Firstly, they are beautiful and secondly they are serious homemade doughnuts. It was a incredible value and my customers raved about them. They have a expresso machine so you can get all the exotic coffees. Be aware, they open 7AM but my call ahead was handled flawlessly for those of us that have to get going early. Very sweet people!

Paul's seems to generally hold a special place in the stomach's of most Burlington natives. As far as donuts go in the area, it's truly challenging to compete with these guys. For as long as I can recall, the donuts here have been consistent... and consistently good. The chocolate glazed, original glazed, and raspberry filled are my favorites. But really, you can't go too wrong with any choice. Despite donuts being their top seller, they do make cakes and cookies amongst some other bakery items, but I'd recommend sticking to the donuts. The donuts are all HEAVY and quite filling. Feeling gluttonous? Try Paul's!

Birthday celebration, a la donut! They even had a candle for me!

Jen was so personable and the shop is adorable. If you are looking for a sweet treat in Burlington, Paul's is a must!

    A dozen glazed donuts

Love this place! Every time we come to Burlington we stop and grab a dozen donuts. It's never enough. I don't even like donuts and I find myself eating at least 4. Stop at Paul's, you won't regret it!!

The shop has the display cases right when you walk in the door and there is a little cafe area off to the right which seemed cute. We were greeted when we walked in and the girl who helped us gave us plenty of time while we decided what to order. I asked what her favorite thing was that they had and she told me the danishes or the cheesecakes. I ended up ordering several things to try: a glazed donut, glazed raspberry filled donut, powdered raspberry filled donut, cheese danish, chocolate chip cookie, and cinnamon roll. The donuts and cinnamon roll were given to family who already knew how good the donuts were and we tried the chocolate chip cookie and cheese danish. The chocolate chip cookie was huge, chewy, and had a great flavor. I think my favorite thing I tried was the cheese danish. The dough was buttery and the filling wasn't too sweet. It was a great suggestion from the girl working there. Also, all of this was under $18 which is crazy. Will definitely be coming back.

If you like a yeasty, reliable, chain franchise doughnut, this is it. More costly than what they were when I was in college, but still the same delightful taste, the store turns on the hot light sign and I am there. Before we even left the parking lot, half the dozen was gone. The melt in your mouth factor of the fresh from the grease doughnut lets me know that heaven is real. The employees were kind and fast, minimizing the cool down period of the doughnut. Normally, we would eat inside, but due to the weather, we opted to eat in the car. The interior was clean and looked like all other Krispy Kreme's I've been to recently. I'm looking forward to eating more tomorrow, although you can't replicate the doughy inside right now, but if you nuke it for 8 seconds and add a cup of coffee, it's as good as you can get under those circumstances.

The first time I found this spot, I was so obsessed I was literally coming here every single day (no shame at all). The donuts are always fresh, beautifully made and dangerously delicious. Every visit tastes just as amazing as the last, which says a lot because consistency is everything. Beyond the donuts, the customer service is always phenomenal and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you're getting. At this point, it's become a tradition anytime I'm heading to visit family in Florida, I have to stop here and grab a dozen to bring with me. So it was a no-brainer that I stopped by, especially since they live in Durham. I stopped in about 2 PM on a Friday and they have practically sold out of most things, which is not unlikely. There's often a long line when they open to get fresh donuts. I got a red velvet doughnut, an apple fritter, and a regular cruller. They were so light and airy and practically melted in your mouth. I could see how dangerous it would be if I lived closer I would probably stop every week! It's a family owned restaurant so it was nice to see them all working together and all smiles. I really loved that. They were super helpful in suggesting their favorite items and encouraging me to come again so I can try their different options. They were gone quickly. We wanted more nachos after we finished. A classic nacho topped with stewed chicken meat and so flavorful. The esquite (street corn) was delicious and creamy with hints of spices. My favorite was the Fresca Crema, made from fresh cut strawberries, house made whipped cream and cream. It is fresh, creamy, and balanced - very refreshing on a sunny afternoon. My crew enjoyed smoothies as well. The mini donuts were served hot and should be eaten immediately because of the toppings. They were fresh, warm and chewy. I even shared one with my grandma and mom and they said they were the best doughnuts they have ever had. Better than a local town favorite (hint hint - Krispy Kreme). The smoothie was awesome because it was make with real fruit of course and alkaline water which was neat. Dairy can sometimes not sit right with me so this was a blessing to find. It was a little on the sweet side so I'm hoping next time I go I can request not as sweet. I am just absolutely blown away by the care, freshness, and hospitality of this food truck. It was very muggy inside to the point that the floors were slippery and I had to be careful walking. The buffet itself was lacking. Many of the dishes had no labels and there were no gloves for the shared utensils. Also, they are using plastic plates for the buffet. I tried a little of everything and the fried items were cold and old. The vegetarian dishes were also lukewarm. The chicken biryani was cold and the rice was crunchy. The butter chicken was very sweet. To the point I didn't recognize it. Most of the food was sweet. They brought out one naan. That was very salty and I couldn't finish it. Overall everything tasted modified and not authentic. There was only one sauced item with meat and that was butter chicken. The only other protein option was tandoori chicken so you won't have any options if you don't care for chicken. There was one chick pea dish, a potato dish, an okra dish, a veggie stir fry and that was pretty much it for mains. Overall I think they would fare better expanding their buffet. That's a real tough question. To order off the menu, I might. But then I remember the last few visits and second guess the possibility. I would not come back for the buffet. There's plenty of parking in a shared lot. Maybe a fall hazard for those with assistive devices or mobility issues. The floor is clean but the humidity caused it to be very slick.
