I discovered this new bakery in High Point. There was a line outside of the store so I ordered the pineapple upside down cake and birthday cake. I honestly did not care for either.I will admit that I a comparing the cakes to my favorite bakery in Greensboro so, it might not be fair.
The first time I went to Sweet Dough and walked through the doors, I was hit in the face with the most AMAZING smell of treats. I hope this is what heaven smells like. I have probably gone to Sweet Dough close to a dozen times, most of the time with my toddler, teenage athletes that I coach, or my husband, and no one that I know has ever left disappointed. The desserts are phenomenal. I can personally attest to the great quality of various cakes, banana pudding, bars, cookies, macarons, cheesecake, and the cinnamon buns OH MY GOSH. The prices are very reasonable and most of the servings are awesome! It's also a great hangout spot for a small group. I had team bonding with my volleyball team there last year; we played board games and just kept getting more desserts and coffee! In fact, I need to get out that way and get some more dessert (I'm getting hungry as I type!). The staff are friendly and give good recommendations, and I have never had to wait for food.

This is a cute, bright, and delicious bakery. On this visit I bought a loaf of banana chocolate chip bread to share with some friends. It was moist and tasty. Great flavor.
I happened by Sweet Dough while waiting for dinner at a nearby restaurant. Decided to try it out and I'm so glad I did! My brownie cookie was phenomenal! It was perfectly soft in the middle and slightly crunchy on the outside! The flower macaron was adorable! The inside was clean and service was quick! Definitely check this place out if you are in the area.
Pretty incredible bakery with an amazing selection of sweets. When we came in on a Saturday evening it was quiet, but by the time we left there was a long line of people coming to pick up treats. There is just about everything you could imagine that is baked - from cupcakes to rice crispy treats to fancy cookies. I had a creme brûlée macaron that was incredible, and a I took home a peanut butter bar for later. It smells great in there and the decor is cute. There are a few tables to enjoy your treats before you go. There are also plenty of fancy coffee drinks available. Definitely worth a visit if you love baked goods.

I brought some of my friends to this awesome bakery after a brunch for coffee and dessert on a Sunday afternoon. Upon walking in we noticed how wonderfully decorated the inside was and drawn in by the smells of the heavenly aromas filling the air. Oh boy! We fell in love with the delectable variety of eye popping cakes, macaroons, cookies, rolls and cheesecake selections plus all the different coffees, teas and cocoa and other drinks. We decided to eat our desserts there. They have a few tables scattered around the small shop. After we had our fill of drinks and desserts we left satisfied by the experience here and friendly staff who were very accommodating and were able to get our orders to us in a snap. I absolutely needed to take some home with me for later. I ended up with 2 boxes filled with cookies, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes and a raspberry white brownie, Fresh and wonderfully made and decorated. Don't overlook this Bakery.... All I can say is "sweet!"
Normally, we love this bakery--conveniently located, friendly staff, delicious treats, exquisitely decorated for holidays--however, ordering a cinnamon roll only to find it barely had any cinnamon is quite disappointing. I essentially paid for iced bread. Either quality has gone downhill or employee wasn't paying attention. Everything thing else was delicious as usual/expected--peanut butter bar, coconut icebox cake, and cookie dough (didn't get pics)
Oh my God I'm so happy to swing by here after leaving Texas Roadhouse. I really want something sweet, I didn't find anything I wanted on their dessert menu. But this place right here! So many options from cheesecake, cakes, cookies, brownies, tiramisu,macaroons they even have coffee/drinks. I was like a kid in a candy store as soon as I walked in I knew this is going to be my new favorite bakery. I ordered four macaroons they were $3 each I got the lavender,creme brulee, pistachio and Earl Gray (unique flavor had to try it). If you know me you know I love me so macaroons. I also love Rice krispie treats and they had a s'more version. I couldn't leave that behind. I did try the creme brulee macaroon as soon as I got home there's actually some filling inside. The macaroons were baked perfectly and melts in your mouth has a great texture I am very pleased. Pretty sure the rest of the macaroons are going to be delicious. I took a bite of the Rice krispie treat, hands down the best I ever had! I highly recommend this bakery. Pretty sure nothing you get here will disappoint you. I will be back for sure. The space is very cute. Tables on the inside and a few on the outside. My sweet tooth was satisfied. Thank you!

First of all, I don't know what's wrong with me! I don't know why I've spent the last few years in the dark about this place. I went in one day after lunch about a year ago and was completely overwhelmed because everything looked so good and I didn't order a thing. Stopped by yesterday and now I'm hooked! If you read my other reviews, you'll see where I tried another bakery's cinnamon buns twice and just was not a fan. Biggest critic was the lack of cinnamon in the cinnamon bun - this one is the opposite. There is cinnamon in every single bite - they even do the cinnamon-sugar on the bottom of the pan to ensure the crusty sweet goodness on their buns! This is definitely in my top list of cinnamon buns. The dough is so good and soft, the icing is to die for, and you know you'll get cinnamon in every bite just by looking at it! This is where I'll be going from now on when I don't want to make a batch at home! I also got the cookie butter cheesecake - how have I lived my life this long without trying this? Cheesecake, caramel and cookie butter in every bite! The cheesecake is super fluffy and I can't wait to try more of their flavors. I got my husband an ooey gooey chocolate chip cookie and we were both delighted with the flavor - it's the perfect balance of browned butter and bittersweet chocolate! He can't wait to give their oatmeal raisin cookies a try. For five in the evening, this place was hopping by the time I left. There was initially one person ahead of me and one behind the counter and as folks came in, two more came out the back to help! Everyone was super friendly and helpful! The shop itself is cute! I love walking in to see display case after display case of baked goods - all of them looking amazing! They also sell ice cream and coffee here! My family and I would go to Sweet Dough every time we visit family in Greensboro. It's our fave bakery in this area! We've tried the cookies, strawberry cloud, tiramisu, macarons... there is nothing we don't like! The staff is friendly and service is always quick! It's small but full of delicious goodies! We stumbled upon this bakery on a whim when walking around the parking lot looking at other things. Even though we were about to go eat dinner, we stopped in for a treat. I was pretty taken aback by how many dessert options they had. Not only did they have a plethora of types of desserts, but they had sooo many flavors/varieties of each one. A dozen different variations of cheesecakes, several cupcake varieties, a dozen different kinds of macarons, several different cakes, tiramisu, tres leches, banana pudding, edible cookie dough, more cookies than I could name, brownies, eclairs, and more that I'm sure I have forgotten. If you can name it, I'm sure they have it. I've been looking for somewhere nearby to get a proper macaron (as opposed to a hard, macaron shaped cookie without the traditional texture) at a reasonable price point. This definitely met those criteria, so of course we tried a flower shaped macaron. It had the perfect, delicate cookie and that classic, light almondy flavor. We also had a brownie batter cookie, which was delicious and reminds me of something I would have saved on Pinterest a decade ago but never gotten around to making, much less as well as they do. Though there was a line inside, we were served super quickly by friendly staff, and found a nice seat outside in the sun. They also had abundant indoor seating. Maybe I'm the last one to hear about Sweet Dough and everyone else has been a fan, or maybe it's a true hidden gem. Either way, I will 100% be back. read more

Absolutely love this spot. First of all, it's locally owned. Yay for local businesses! The cupcakes are so pretty and delicious- the cakes are the same way. I've also tried the macarons, rice krispy treats, oatmeal cream pie cookies, and fluffer nutter bars- every single item is fantastic, seriously. The only thing I haven't liked so far was the coffee, and I must say I'm pretty picky. I tried one of the specialty lattes and just wasn't a fan. The service here is great too- the people are so nice. Also, it's just CUTE- it's the kind of little local bakery a small town novel would be set in. You won't regret this place one bit! read more

I tried the strawberry cloud cake which was perfect after a long walk on a steamy summer day. Cold, light and fluffy whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and a graham cracker like crust. It was refreshingly delicious! My partner tried the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake which was not short in the raspberry department! The cheesecake was moist and creamy and also delicious. Luckily she was stuffed, so I was fortunate to finish her slice! The interior was bright, clean, and cool. The decor was sweet and fanciful and I couldn't help but feel happy and uplifted as soon as I stepped foot inside. The staff was very patient, attentive and answered all of our questions about the variety of baked goods. Check this place out the next time you're in the mood for something sweet. YALL. So in love with this spot and I need to try EVERYTHING. It's the second time I've been in there. Today we ordered a s'mores bar, Oreo cupcake and on a whim purchased the best chocolate chip banana bread simply because it was still warm. Prices are reasonable and employees are friendly. We have been coming to sweet doughs for a few months now and I'm telling every other bakery to move over - there's a new favorite in town! There is never a lack of choices when visiting sweet doughs. From cake to pie to cheesecake to coffee to cake pops to cookies - they literally have any and all desserts. And all of them are absolutely delicious! I love that this bakery is in a convenient spot on 68 and their space is soooo cute. Especially all decorated for Christmas. If walking in their bakery during the holiday season doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit I truly don't know what will. Their staff is always friendly and so willing to help. I was ordering an assortment of pastries last week and they were so patient with me while I made my choices which I appreciate. This bakery is not to be slept on. It's definitely our go to at this point for all things sweet! read more

Lovely bakery in High Point area. I love bakeries and was ecstatic to find this cute bakery in High Point on a casual stroll. Although it is a smaller bakery, its decor is so cute! I loved the pink colors and everything was bright and cheerful. The smell was amazing-I spelled all the scents of a bakery. Cocoa, sugar, butter-bakery goodness!!!!!! It didn't fail to deliver because the taste lived up to the scent. I grabbed a few goodies to taste a little of everything-the key lime pie was amazing. Not a lot of people can master allowing the key lime taste to shine through and it was powerful without being overwhelming. The Graham cracker crust was the perfect blend of crispness, sweetness, and crumbled perfectly. The Cruffin (cross between a croissant and a muffin) was so buttery and smooth. It would be the perfect compliment to a warm coffee. The chocolate cake was decadent, smooth, and flavorful. The cinnamon bun was great and the icing-AMAZING! The staff was super friendly and kind-made great suggestions and even gave me their favorites. I love it and will definitely be back. read more
I love this place! From the moment you walk in you're happy. You are immediately greeted by staff who are ready to help you! This is like the Wonka of the dessert world! You have everything from cheesecake to pound cake! You have ice cream, coffee, there's even something to take home to your fur baby! This is such a happy place. This visit I ordered orange creamsicle and red velvet CHEESECAKE!! The banana pudding is my usual go to but I suggested it to my friend and she ordered it. Always a pleasant surprise when I walk in the door. Variety of desserts and baked goods is amazing . The inside is always decorated for the holidays beautifully . They accept custom orders, but honestly there's so much cash and carry product !! My only complaint is, it's tough to choose !! read more
My husband is a milkshake critic and he was pleased that they had ice cream and the milkshake on the menu. He got the cookies and cream milk shake (no whipped cream). He said it was a 5 star shake. The wide variety of dessert options made it hard to choose but we got a nice variety in my party. Everything was excellent! The bakery is a pleasant and clean place with cute whimsical decorations and even fun for Halloween. Enjoyed the after dinner treat and can't wait to go back! read more

I can't recommend this place enough. Sweet little bakery in a shopping center that also has a Duck Donuts. (I love duck donuts too, and that's actually where we were headed.) Spotted the bakery counter through the window and just had to check it out. I love when all the goods are out for you to see, it makes impulse purchases much easier. My favorites: blueberry cloud, the espresso cake, the banana pudding. Everything tasted super fresh and was delicious. The best compliment I can think of is "not too sweet" everything had great flavors without too much sugar. My husband also got a milkshake which was made with real ice cream, and my son got a funfetti cookie and red velvet cake ball. Definitely a cute spot to check out! read more
Went here for the 50th time and never disappoints! Why do I do this to myself when I'm trying to lose weight? Ha, I'll just eat a small bite of my wife's, yeah right. Maybe you'll have better luck at that. This eve we shared the lemon blueberry cheesecake. Good luck finding better. Great ingredients and a healthy portion. This place runs like a machine and always spotless! This includes the rest rooms. This bears mentioning since so many good eating establishments ignore them! I'm not usually into sweets, but this place blew me away. I had no clue what a Blueberry Cloud was, but now I'm hooked--definitely coming back for it. The inside is a bit small and can get tight when there's a line, but the service was still awesome. read more

Perfect place for an afternoon sweet treat! I came down this way for the FF chicken elite event but I actually couldn't resist stopping by here first! It's a small bright shop with a ton of sweet goodies- cheesecakes, ice cream, cookies, cakes, pies, macarons and more! I got a scoop of banana ice cream, espresso macaron and peanut butter cheesecake. There was a bit of a line, not surprising for 4pm on a Saturday- the kids need their sweet fix to hold them over to dinner, and the adults like me are always ready to indulge! I sat by the window and enjoyed my ice cream and peanut butter pie- I love the banana pb combo! I appreciated the generous serving size for the ice cream- nowadays it feels like you can't get more than 3 spoonfuls of ice cream for $5 but that certainly wasn't the case here! If you're looking to treat yourself, Sweet Dough is the spot! read more
How am I just hearing about this place? We came in after a dinner night out and WOW. Ice cream, cheese cake, pie, dirt cake, macaron, bars, cake, a HOT CASE? PUP CUPCAKES? After coming to the conclusion that we would be back and soon, we were helped by two very sweet young ladies who didn't make us feel rushed or silly when we asked questions. They took care of us quickly and we didn't get completely won over by the sticky bun (and I regret not getting one and bringing it home because I can still smell how incredible it was!!!!). Lemon blueberry cheese cake and blueberry cloud cake won us over: the cheesecake was delicious creamy, cream cheese forward, a slight lemon tang and a great blue berry topping. The cloud cake was on a pecan shortbread and a smooth and fluffy creamy dreamy...I don't even know! Thicker than whipped cream and thinner than cheesecake? Amazing. We also brought home a Pup Cupcake and our dogs DEMOLISHED IT. 5 stars all around! read more

We were in the area and this place was on my wife's radar. Glad it was because this was a positive experience for sure! The store is very clean, vibrant, and welcoming, and the smell is wonderful! The staff were also very friendly, and the person helping us was even nice enough to come running after us in a rainstorm when we left to bring us our baby's forgotten sippy cup! As for the goods, the selection is tremendous. Borderline overwhelming, really. We got the fluffer nutter, blondie, red velvet cheesecake, strawberry cupcake, and pecan sticky bun as pictured. I think the sticky bun was the best thing, and I really enjoyed the candied pecans on top and was shamelessly lapping up the extra sauce at the bottom! Bathroom was very clean too. Prices varied between reasonable and slightly higher than I was willing to pay. Macarons are a lot of work and were beautiful, but $3 each was too much for me. Not 5 stars because there are award winning bakeries that are better, but the items we had were yummy and worth a stop in! Oh, they have iced cream, milkshakes, and coffee too! I would have to try the coffee next time. read more
Wow! This is a must check out spot if you like pastries, sweet treats and desserts! I stopped in yesterday to get a few sweets to share. The cinnamon buns are incredible, but enormous. Easily the size of my face, and you can pick from icing or cream cheese frosting...I went cream cheese, and my girlfriend and I shared it yesterday for breakfast and again today! We also got a piece of eclair cake and a slice of peanut butter pie. Both were again incredibly delicious, and big enough to share, if your willing, or get two nights of dessert from. I'd highly recommend this bakery to anyone and will be going back to visit without a doubt. Service was friendly and quick. It's got a quaint interest, a nice place to meet up for a hot chocolate or coffee, enjoy something sweet and catch up with a friend! read more
