Granny's Donuts is a local staple that delivers every time. Their donuts have that old-school charm, soft, fresh, and not overly sweet, which makes them dangerously easy to eat. They offer a solid variety of flavors and styles, from classic glazed to fun specialty options. The customer service is friendly, warm, and gives you that true hometown vibe. If you're in High Point and want real, no-nonsense, made-with-love donuts, Granny's is the place to go.
We love Granny's! The donuts are always fresh! The selection is amazing! The display cases are well labeled! The employees are amazing! Only downside is you never know what time they close! Internet times are not always accurate and there's no hours posted on the door!
I hate writing anything poor about a business but both times I've walked in not only is it filthy and the plants need some serious attention just like the rest of the lobby but the service is not great either. They do make an alright doughnut but it's just alright. I want you to know doughnuts are literally my favorite food. I'm a big fan of supporting local businesses and not going to the big chains so for that reason I gave it a solid 3!
Cute little shop. Great fluffy donuts! They had a good selection of varying donut holes, and all of them were great! Definitely want to come back for more!!
You can't ever go wrong with picking up a few donuts as a morning treat! I stopped in to Granny's recently and brought a few of their tasty treats home. I got there a mid day on a Sunday, so selection had been pretty picked over, but I found some that caught my eye, and even a delicious Apple fritter. The interior has a couple of small tables, but I think the main business is to go. The hostess was friendly and happy to help. They also offer coffee. I'll certainly be back!
Granny's donuts they are outstanding and delicious. Several varieties to choose from. If you eat one you can't never get enough grain has been around a long time. They're a good place to eat. Their donuts are delicious.
Totally was expecting to be wowed reading reviews: definitely had too high of expectations! The place was clean, small with two tables and service was quick and kind. There was a short line and we were up: got a strawberry frosted, glazed, banana cream filled and a few donut holes: lemon, chocolate and red velvet. They threw in a few extra holes which was nice. The donuts themselves were good: solid base! The issue was how sugary they were: Strawberry: basically inedible because of how much frosting/icing, pure sugar and no flavor. Glazed: best of the bunch! Solid base. Banana cream filled: no banana, just more icing inside. Holes: Lemon + chocolate: pretty traditional for these fillings Red velvet: this was nice and had good flavor! All in all not really worth the 20 min drive we took. Wish the triad had some good yeast donut places!
Love the donuts here. Service is always with a smile! Good variety of donuts to pick from. They also have a nice variety of drink options like coffees, smoothies and shakes. I usually get the coconut donuts. Those are my favorite. Big, soft and fresh!
The staff at work always raves about Granny's Donuts, so I had to get some myself! Very tasty and so many different flavors. You can't go wrong with any of them. The price for an assorted dozen is very reasonable. Will definitely be back.
I walked in and was feeling like Pepe Le Pew starry eyed looking at a female skunk. I ordered so much and ate a chunk of it in the car. The cherry fritter was the one!
4.5 stars We stumbled upon Granny's cuz it's in the shopping center adjacent to our orthodontist's office. I was surprised at how wide of variety they have. Donuts, donut holes, fritters, cookies, macarons, all kinds of drinks. Service was fast, kind, and professional. She was patient and didn't rush us while we slowly looked around the cases. The price and the taste, you just can't beat! For $17.50, we got a dozen mixed donut holes, 2 fritters, 2 donuts, 1 cinnamon twist, and 1 white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie. My butterfinger donut was delish! I would've gotten a latte but had just ordered one right before going there. My girls liked their donut holes, blueberry fritter and strawberry with sprinkles donut. It's a small place, so don't really plan on eating inside of there. The parking lot isn't super large either but typical for "downtown-ish" high point. read more

Loved Granny's! Huge selection of sweets to choose from and each one tasted scrumptious. I tried the chocolate and blueberry donut holes which were easily some of the best ones I've had. They were fresh and oh so yummy. My favorite pick however was the good ole cinnamon sugar donut. Easily my favorite pick at any donut shop, and here was no different. It was so soft and unbelievably tasty. Definitely recommend! read more

What a great spot for donuts! In the area for college move in and found this great shop. Loads to choose from and reasonably priced, Granny's has something for everyone. I was very surprised to see different flavors of fritters other than apple (cherry and blueberry). Overall, a great donut shop with a wide variety of donuts to choose from, like yeast raised, cake donuts, and we even saw donut holes. We will be back. Yum! read more

Ya'll. THIS PLACE IS DELICIOUS! There was so much to choose from and everything I tried was fresh, soft, and tasty! It looked like a cute mom and pop shop from the outside so I had to try it out. Support local! The guy at the counter was very nice and said welcome back when I went 2 days in a row. haha whoops. Guys, the Blueberry fritters are to die for! I wanted to bring 20 home with me. They had so much flavor and were so soft! Honestly, everything I tried was good. I will be back before my trip is over. Go visit you won't regret it!! read more

I'm always on the hunt for a delicious "mom and pop" donut place, so I was excited to try this place! I love how they have unique donut options such as their red velvet donut holes, buttermilk donuts, and butterflies. The best part is that their donuts aren't too sweet and pair perfectly with a cup of coffee. They even have unique lattes and mochas because of their 20+ syrup options! This place is definitely worth visiting, but be sure to come with an empty stomach because you're going to want more than one donut. read more

Want some amazing, flavorful and a huge variety of donuts? You need to visit Granny's Donuts & Bakery. They are still open during this pandemic and need your support. They have anything from donut holes, fritters (cherry, Apple and blueberry), bearclaws, old fashioned, buttermilk, cake donuts, muffins, brownies, etc. There is literally something for everyone! Some of my favorites are chocolate buttermilk donut, original glazed, glazed cream filled, banana cream filled, chocolate covered chocolate cream filled, red velvet donut holes, crumb cake donut, and any of the fritters. They serve up coffee beverages and have a cooler of milk, juice and other drinks. I think we all need to do what we can to support our local businesses during this time. Wear your masks, practice social distancing, but support local. Support Granny's. read more

From the other reviews I expected to be completely wowed by Granny's Bakery, however when I arrived, I was instantly disappointed. I expected to get the feels of sweets being baked and lightly fried goodness. This Donut Shop was not like that. The donuts were CLEARLY NOT fresh, freshly glazed or even warm. The reviews said these donuts were a mix between Krispy Kreme and Donkin, but it was more like dried out Donkin quality. I notice that there were gnats flying around in the bottom of the unwrapped apple fritters and bear claws, but I still purchased an apple fritter that was wrapped. The flavors were ok but again I could tell that the donuts were days old, they were tough and dry and not moist and flaky. To finish out my half dozen I also tried a banana creme filled donut, a maple bacon donut and a cinnamon toast crunch donut. My favorite donuts are chocolate covered, creme filled donuts, so I got 2 of those. The cashier added 4-5 donut holes for free to the bag, which was a nice touch and easy to try out for the way home. The doughnuts were much better warmed up in the microwave especially the maple bacon! I just wished that these donuts were rotated and thrown out properly. From the gnats and the dried donuts that I tasted here. I probably would not return, as I didn't even finish eating the ones I purchased on this trip. read more
