Located in a strip mall behind a CVS, if I hadn't mapped it, I may have not known it existed, although business appears on sign at main road. The interior is small, and as I recall, offers a few seats, but this is a more grab-and-go (which I was just passing through anyway). Family enjoyed their cupcakes. Recently visited the bakery on a Wednesday evening 30 mins to closing and had a wonderful experience. The staff were patient, did not try to rush us or any patrons in the lobby. The restaurant itself self gives a good southern granny vibe so I have high expectations for the baked goods. For starters the Chocolate cake was phenomenal very moist, not overly rich and made you want another. I also had a couple of cupcakes, and a pecan bar. Those items were good but nothing to rave about. I have since heard they do milkshakes so interested in giving them a try. This is a cute and clean little bakery in town. Conveniently located, easy parking, and tons of options and flavors to choose from! It would be a great place to set up shop and get a little work done, too. One of my favorite parts about the atmosphere here is that it's extremely cozy, almost like you're at home in your own living room. The staff is friendly, too! I had a hankering for a cupcake (or 3!) so I got the Strawberry, Banana Pudding, and Toffee Caramel Crunch. Very tasty! Rich, of course, but flavorful. I loved the space in this location. There is ample room to walk around and if you decide to hang around eat your dessert they have tables/chairs. I loved the variety of their selections. They had some really tasty looking cakes on display. I saw cookies, bone bones, lemon bars, turnovers, etc. I liked their pricing is listed on their back walls. I decided on cupcakes today. I chose three. I am actually regretting not getting four. The cashier/server was very friendly. She asked about packaging before she did it, which was thoughtful. We found Amoroso's Bakery after trying a few other places that were recommended as the popular places but even after 5-6 visits enduring long lines with dry cakes and cupcakes., we decided to search for something better. We have been to Amoroso's 7-8 times now, over the past year and are really enjoying the treats! The cakes and cupcakes are delicious, moist, and flavorful! Asked if they had anything gluten-free, and the girl behind the counter basically whispered her response into another dimension. I'm so glad we stumbled across this place when we visited Greensboro it's a little off the beaten path but definitely worth going out of the way try it. They have several choices of delicious treats to choose from. Cupcakes, cakes , cheesecake and the list goes on. Staff was friendly and we were able to dine in prices were very reasonable . I had the pineapple cake which was extremely disappointing. It was just vanilla cake with plain buttercream. Didn't have the slightest flavor of pineapple. The cake was a little dry and the buttercream was just average. Overpriced and underwhelming. read more

I used to frequent this bakery at the previous location in Highpoint, when I lived in NC. Everyone there was extremely nice and pleasant and the pastries were great. Now, not so much at the new location on Guilford College. I try to stop by when I'm in town and there is this one woman in there that is so dreadful and unpleasant. I gave her a pass the first time and chucked it up to her possibly having a bad day, but when I visited a few months later she had the same attitude as if she had better things to do than service customers. Their pastries aren't as fresh anymore, but the real reason I will never go back is because of that woman. I refuse to patron and spend money where it's not appreciated!! Today I tried their hummingbird cupcake and it, too, was delicious. I've lived down the street from this place for three years and finally started going in a few weeks ago as a weekend treat to myself and it's great. The inside is charming and clean, the people working there are friendly and helpful. The prices are great. So far I've had the chess bar, magic bar, and cornflake cookie- all excellent. The chess bar is sweet and rich without being too sweet, the magic bar was chewy and full of coconut flavor (and a pretty huge portion), and the cornflake cookies is salty and sweet, with gooey marshmallow and chocolaty chunks. Just save yourself the drive . I wish I could give negative stars. I walked into the bakery as another customer perused the baked goods. He and the young lady were discussing the temperature of the cupcakes. A few minutes later the customer left (while I looked to see if the item I wanted was available). At the time, I was the only customer in the store. As I approached the young lady at the cash register just looked at me. No, "hello, can I help you?"or anything. I asked for a cupcake that they apparently didn't carry and she said, "no, that's not here." Normally, I would've done an about-face because poor customer service is such a deal breaker for me. However, these particular cupcakes were requested from a friend so I suffered through. Just when I thought maybe this lady is rude to everyone a white customer came in and she smiled and spoke to him like a human being. He asked a question and she pleasantly responded . At some point my cupcakes were packaged and sitting on the counter (I turned my back to control myself). The rude wench never said anything, not , "Here you go miss, here's your cupcakes" again nothing. When she gave me my change she tossed it across the counter. I was SOO close to losing my cool and throwing the money and cupcakes in her face. As soon as I was about to risk it all a sweet kid by the name of Caleb (he may have been the child of a staff member) asked if I wanted to see his lego structure. Recently I came in to get an assortment of cupcakes for my husband's 50th birthday. I especially needed to get some that were not dark chocolate-based and was pleasantly surprised by the selection of cupcakes to choose from. They were all moist and delicious. Because they were large cupcakes we decided to cut them all in quarters. Therefore, everyone at the party could have a little bit of each. The favorites were the cannoli, strawberry, pink lemonade, and chocolate Bavarian. The overall winner seemed to be the German chocolate. The consensus was that it was rich and very moist. I came in before closing and was overwhelmed with all of the options but picked a couple of winners to take home. I'm not a very big sweets person, like I wouldn't have ever come here of my own volition, but since I found myself here, I just had to test a couple of safe bets. The counter girls were so kind and helpful. I went with the German Chocolate Cupcake and a slice of Blueberry Cheesecake for my wife. My wife's cheesecake tasted great. It seems like it's a sour cream base instead of cream cheese, I could be wrong, but it just had a flavor that would be excellent if there was a sweet fruit topping smothering it, so next time we'll get some topping put on it. My cupcake on the other hand: OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. Like I said, I don't have a sweet tooth, but holy guacamole I INHALED my cupcake. I could never work here because I'd be eating the frosting out of a tub all day. I'm scared knowing that these sweet chocolate delicacies are sitting behind glass only a 5 minute drive away from home.
