We love a good cheesecake. But this time we ordered something else - just as good though! We got a slice of carrot cake and a Gluten free Coconut Guava cupcake. The carrot cake had a deep flavor that wasn't overly sweet. While the the cupcake had a flavor I don't think I've had before. But it tasted really fresh and tasty. Loved them both! This bakery is always packed, and rightfully so. The staff is super sweet and helpful, making the experience better!

Cheesecakes by Alex is a Greensboro staple. I haven't been in a while but every time it's consistently delicious! I ordered a Kahlua cheesecake and Amaretto cappuccino. Both were amazing and paired well together. You absolutely must check out this place while in downtown Greensboro!

The best macaroons in Winston Salem and only 65 cents! It was small but mighty and I loved every piece of it. So soft and it melted in my mouth! The cheesecake looks amazing and they have gluten free options!! The lady who works here seemed annoyed today but her baking is awesome

I love love Cheesecake by Alex. Every time I am on Elm St I stop in to get me a slice. The bourbon cheese cake has a very authentic taste & is really delicious!!!! The chocolate cheesecake taste fantastic too. The service is very good. There is also comfortable seats & tables inside to eat inside.

I stopped by here around 9:30pm on a Monday evening after another dessert place was closed. When I went inside, it wasn't busy and there were 2 staff members. After browsing what was available, I chose to get a strawberry velvet cupcake that was $3.47. I waited until I got home to eat it. When I opened the container, the aroma of strawberry blessed my nostrils! Strawberry is my absolute favorite flavor. By that time, it also softened up a bit from being in the cooler. The cupcake was so moist and delicious. I enjoyed every drop! Can't wait to return for more streets.

Went crazy with 12 pieces to sample

Always a fun stop whenever in downtown. We stopped by after a Tanger show & they never disappoints. Fast & Friendly service, amazing choices. We went with 12 pcs sampler, triple chocolate cake & my favorite the GF guava coconut cupcake!

I love this place. I've gone so many times and I've tried so many different flavors. They have all been so good, even their seasonal ones. I know I've picked up a couple lbs bc I can't say no when I pass this place.

Long time Greensboro staple!! This place never gets tired or old for me. I love waiting in line, to choose what amazing flavors I have to pick from. (I need the time to make these hard decisions). They are all delicious- even the sugar free choices!!

    Sliced crème Brulee Cheesecake

Still the undisputed GOAT for cheesecake in town. I love their creme brulee cheesecake, it's my favorite. Whole or sliced, leave it to me and I'll take care of it. They'll even pre slice the whole cheesecake and make even individual servings before sealing it! Just one note... it seems the crust is a bit more crumbly than I remember it. I don't remember it being dry or crumbly, which was perfect to me! I noticed this both on an individual slice while visiting and with the whole cheesecake as well. Anyways.. the rest of the flavor is still there and their spot also has a few upgrades! Great service as usual.

The line was long but worth the wait. My wife and kids the cheesecake. Although seating was limited, it was still a great time.

The sweet potato pancakes were really good, and the steak and eggs surprised me because the steak portion was huge and cooked really well. The avocado toast was also delicious, and even something simple like the eggs and cheese tasted amazing -- they really know how to make good scrambled eggs there. I also thought it was really cool that they had a little French market section where you can shop for French products while you're there. Most of the mimosas were really good too, and on Sundays they're only $5, which was a nice bonus. The wait time was definitely long -- over an hour and a half -- but honestly, the food and overall experience made it feel worth it in the end!

Really great flavor but I barely made it halfway through the bowl. I also ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. They're probably my favorite thing on the menu. Taste, texture, consistency, all perfect. Tried their crepes for the first time and loved it as well. As someone who drinks coffee daily, they make really good lattes. The salted honey was that perfect balance of sweet and salty without being too much of either. This is the perfect breakfast/brunch restaurant. They're consistent, personable and efficient. Can't wait to come back and check out some new items.

Just inside, the pastry case is centrally displayed under the main counter, stock full of an array of traditional French pastries, so long as you arrive before they are sold out. I ordered an americano, alongside the sausage roll, the chocolate almond croissant, and the oranais, a traditional apricot filled pastry. Each croissant was flaky, buttery, and flavorful, washed down by the americano, leaving nothing to be desired. To top it off, the pastries were enjoyed on a beautiful, sunny day among the patio seating within the alleyway.
