I've been wanting to try Flavoures for a while now, and it ended up being the perfect spot for an after-dinner sweet treat. This place is such a great addition to downtown, which (in my opinion) is pretty limited when it comes to dessert options beyond cheesecake. I ordered a crepe and it was delicious, with just the right balance of sweet without being over the top. They also have a really nice variety of gelato flavors. The staff was super patient and let me sample quite a few (I think I tried about six ) before deciding, which I appreciated. Overall, a great go-to for something sweet downtown. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu. read more

I got a biscoff sundae-it was kind of just haphazardly thrown together and the toppings weren't fully mixed throughout. To top it off, they gave me a fork instead of a spoon to eat it. We recently visited Flavors as part of our ongoing food review series, The Golding Standard. The shop itself was clean, colorful, and nicely decorated. It has a fun atmosphere, even though there isn't outdoor seating. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. We greeted the staff when we walked in, but our greeting wasn't acknowledged. The interaction throughout our visit felt rushed, and there wasn't much engagement or guidance while we were ordering, which made the experience feel less welcoming than we expected. We ordered several items during our visit. Eli really enjoyed his Biscoff gelato-based drink, and it ended up being the highlight of our experience. However, the pineapple lemonade was overwhelmingly tart. We could barely taste the pineapple, and even after adding sugar at home, it was still much too sour for our taste. We also tried another frozen gelato-based specialty drink, but it wasn't something we would order again. Overall, the décor and Eli 's drink earned this review a second star, but the customer service and the quality of the other items we tried left us disappointed. I left a meeting and headed downtown to a coffee shop where I could set up and work. I just so happened to find a parking spot in front of this restaurant and said that I should opt for some sorbet instead of coffee while I worked. So glad I did. I had the chance to try a few of the options where the blood orange sorbet was my absolute favorite, but they were out of enough for serving. I opted for the lemon cake and the watermelon sorbet and they were so good as well. Then I had a chance to plug-in and work at one of the tables there. They have connections all along the wall so it's a great place to get a great treat and work. Don't sleep on this place. My only regret is that the music was kind of loud so I couldn't make any phone calls there. Otherwise a tree and a spot to work is just a thing. Treat yourself. read more

We found this ice cream place when searching for desserts. I was immediately interested when I saw they made gelato in house. We were not greeted when we walked in but the cashier was a little quiet so she may have and I just didn't hear her. Everything looked pretty clean, but the bathroom could have used some attention. There is plenty of seating but was a tad loud. (Maybe because of high ceilings and there was a large group there when we first arrived) They have a broad selection of gelato. They also have smoothies, shakes, sundaes, build your own crepe or waffle and cups or Cones. I ordered the biscoff gelato and it was so creamy and taste just like biscoff. (1 scoop was plenty for me). But they have 2,3 and build your own pint size. When we left the gentleman upfront (maybe the owner) greeted us and asked if we enjoyed. I stopped in here after my girls walk to grab a smoothie. I chose the tropical paradise with oak milk as the base. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough oat milk to make a full smoothie so I went with coconut milk instead. The staff was helpful but I wish they would have communicated a bit better - I waited a long time for my smoothie because the milk was frozen. This place came up on Apple Maps while I was looking for something else. I drove an hour away to visit. (ICE CREAM IS MY FAVORITE FOOD GROUP!) There's plenty of parking in the front and nearby parking lots. The shop was very clean and colorful decor but cozy. They offer seating in the back of the shop. The young lady was very helpful and gave recommendations. The prices are reasonable. The gelato flavors are different, out of the ordinary basic flavors. Run, don't walk to this place. One of my favorite dessert spots around. The strawberry Nutella crepe is amazing, and the ambiance is always great without being crowded. Quick PSA to be mindful of your belongings... I went here to catch up with a friend, and it was pretty decent. There were fun ice cream flavors and lots of opportunities to mix and match. The employee was very kind and bubbly and gave great recommendations for flavors, which I appreciated. There was good seating inside, and it was very spacious and clean. The ice cream itself was nothing very special, but it was solid and I enjoyed being able to try 3 different ones. I liked the pistachio and strawberry cheesecake the best. Really nice use for what was The Selfie Spot. They just opened but already the interior looks great and you can see how it's going to develop over the next couple of months. The gelato is fantastic and they'll be adding hot chocolate and so many other things service was perfect and the gelato choices while relatively limited, hit all the notes. Very European with an American twist. I would still argue that Greensboro could use a dedicated ice cream parlor but they've definitely filled my gelato needs. The gelato is amazing! We had the cookies and cream, double chocolate chip, and the PBX (peanut butter cup and butterfinger). It melts a little quicker than regular ice cream but you shouldn't worry about that because it's so good it goes quick! The service was amazing very personal. I'm not sure if it was the owner who waited on us or not however, they made sure that we had everything we need and try the flavors that suited as well. Inside was decorated lively with while paintings and bright in the front half. There was seating in the back half Which was a little bit darker because it's a galley style building downtown. The process was a bit confusing as there was a person standing over the gelato as you walk in but he couldn't help you until you cashed out, and if there's people waiting to order/cash out, they guy over the gelato is doing nothing so he keeps directing people to cash out. Once I made it to the cashier, she was kind enough. We had biscoff and chocolate chip flavoured gelato (see what I did there) and it was heavenly. So creamy and perfect flavoures. Me and my kid loved this place. She asked the lady at the counter with gelato. I said it's like ice cream she said way better. afterwards she agreed gelato is way better than regular ice cream cream. Delicious downtown locally owned dessertery! We stopped here on a whim and so glad we did. Flavoures offers gelato, crepes, and waffles all made to order. The girl working at the counter was friendly and helpful. We were able to sample a few flavored of gelato before ordering. The menu has something for everyone. There a a plethora of gelato flavors to choose from - ranging from traditional to unique. I had the coconut gelato and it was so good- creamy, not tooo sweet- perfect. My daughter had the Cookie Cream delight crepe and oh my goooodness! It was served warm with a side of cookies and cream gelato- filled with a warm cookies and cream sauce that was heaven! The shop is vibrant with bright colors. There's ample seating in the back and a really cool mural depicting the process of making chocolate. Overall I highly recommend checking this place out. The atmosphere of the store was cute and the location choice interesting, but for the price point it's a bit underwhelming. The staff were a bit aloof and did not often a single word until I settled on asking for service and placing an order. With a bit of a scattered menu it definitely would have been helpful. I had been wanting to go here for so long. I wanted a crepe but ended up getting the waffle. It was so good and super sweet! My daughter got the Cookie Crunch Sunday. We also got 2 macaroons. The total for everything was a little over $22. The waffle was large as well as the sundae. We didn't care too much for the macaroons. It could just be the flavors I got but we didn't finish them. Again, like I mentioned before, I genuinely tried eating the crepe I ordered. I wanted to like it, I truly did. I went back for multiple bites and ended up spitting the crepe out due to the excess gummy like texture I couldn't force down. There are clear gum additives to this recipe that in my opinion make it inedible and unenjoyable. I consider myself a crepe connoisseur. I get them whenever I see them advertised out and about in various cities and I also make them from home. In a previous response to my review the owner said the wording of my last review revealing the food products he sells are "cancerous" and toxic" is not correct. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR INGREDIENTS and do the research yourself if you are so curious. To the owner - I truly believe you don't know any better, and I do believe you're just following the status quo with American food. Please do some research.
