Finally, find another Turkish food restaurant close to my place. We ordered our food through the delivery service, which took forever (doordash). Thank God they packed really well, so the food was still warm. Every single item was full of taste and freshness. It is well served in size and packed creatively. We all loved it. The price is a little pricy, but again, the quality is not cheap. We would love to try again, but it's better to dine in and enjoy food served directly to your table from the kitchen. Stopped in during lunch hours, ordered the #1 lunch combo with chicken wrap, salad and rice pudding. You can tell that all of the ingredients are very fresh and so the simple recipes really shine and taste bright and clean! They also have a tasty garlic sauce upon request, that I would suggest adding to your wrap. For $16 pre-tip but with tax included, it was a good amount of food in a nice, clean, brightly lit restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. My order came with complimentary bread (delicious!) as well as a very tasty hot tea with the rice pudding! we visited this restaurant to try their Knafeh. The ambience is beautiful. Although we wanted to try their Knafeh but could not stop ourselves from ordering other items on their menu. Veg and Chicken Pide are good. Knafeh was out of the world as expected. The staff was good and quick with service. Lentil balls was not what I expected. I was expecting them to be fried. My wife had food poisoning twice with their food. One with the Sunday brunch and other is take out food, most likely the cold appetizer. The owner built a little office in the corner with a one way window that he can see the guests but he is invisible to us. This might be for security reason but I don't like being watched and listened. The quality of the food is good at times but not consistent. The hosts and the waitresses are great. Their vinyl booth benches are all peeling off. I hope they do a better job because the food is ok most of the time but I'm always worried about getting sick here. So sorry. read more

We really enjoyed our first visit to this foodie paradise, we're already planning the next visit. My wife and I both got lunch combos from the last page of their extensive menu. My wife got the combo 3, ground meat pideh.....looks like a pizza shaped like a canoe, yum, lentil soup which was the best thing we both ate, and rice pudding. Each combo lets you choose between a selection of entrees, fries, salad or soup, a dessert and a soft drink. I went with the combo 4, I picked the beef stew pideh, lentil soup, baklava and a diet coke. The lentil soup arrived with a basket of bread that went well with the soup. It's the best kunafeh you've ever had. Adana kebab is very good too. It is a restaurant where I am always very happy to eat.

Food is consistently amazing and servers are so friendly and attentive. One thing I appreciate so much is that they have a spot for people to pray in private! This was by far the worst Mediterranean food I've had in my life. Normally they have an ala carte menu but because of Ramadan, they had a buffet also available and it was priced at $25 per person. I came here with a few other friends as they wanted to dine with me. We had a total of four people of which two were fasting and two were not. We were all excited about the buffet but it fell way below our expectations. The line was very long as there were hungry fasters ready to fill their plates. The first thing I noticed was that there was no beef kebabs and basically no beef dish except for a cheap look-alike version of stroganoff which by the way tasted awful and penne pasta with ground beef?? They had a chicken dish which look good as it had chunky cubes of chicken but it was very dry and bland at the same time. The hummus was also very dry and pasty and the Greek salad was mediocre at best. The tabouli needed more lime and garlic and I don't even know how to describe the other dishes that were on the buffet. I don't even know what they were and I struggled to develop a taste for them. There was a desert section with plenty of desserts but nothing that stood out as I sampled and nibbled my way towards utter disappointment. There was a plate of some mangoes and pineapple which I somewhat enjoyed. This place was an absolute rip off and this buffet is not even worth $10 and to not have any good beef item, deserves the price to be slashed by $10 at least. Save yourself the money and just go to Dimassi's right down the street. These people offer a very misleading buffet And I'm still upset at blowing away $30. read more

We stopped by for an early dinner at about 6 pm. Yes that's early for our desi standards. We were greeted and since we had a reservation, we were warmly seated and tables adjusted to accommodate our party of six folks. Unfortunately those seating was too hot and sun was shining right on our table and was very hot so we requested and moved to a different booth. The restaurant was very busy and the staff was warm but struggling to keep up with the customers. The AC was not working and still at our new sear we were HOT and sweating...swearing. Our orders took about 20 mins to come but felt almost like an hour because of the heat. The appetizers were probably complimentary and were the most tasty. The mixed grill and the burger was served in a different wooden platter which was unique and tasted good. The drink we ordered was the ' Uludag ' and was an orange Soda. It feels bad but overall we could not be comfortable bcoz of the heat and felt the staff was nice and polite but over worked and understaffed and could not even get us water and tea and drink took a long time and apologized profusely. read more

Stopped in for dinner when our original selection turned out to be closed. Great choice. The food was delicious! We had the lamb kabobs, beef kabobs and chicken wings. All were outstanding! There was only one person waiting tables but it was late so there weren't a lot of customers and she was clearly able to handle those of us that were there. Casual atmosphere. I hate to lower my rating but service was terrible. There were only two waitresses. I wasn't offered water. I had to ask for it as well as for bread. They used to bring silverware wrapped in a napkin and I didn't get any. I had to again ask for it when I received my vegetarian sampler platter. I could have used a napkin when I got the bread with olive oil. The menu has changed and the prices have gone up. A salmon sandwich is about $16 from what I saw on the menu. We got almost everything on the menu! ...That we could have. We're vegetarian but we don't eat anything in the allium family (onions, garlic, etc.). It was a Saturday and we got there a little before 11 because we were in the area after running some errands. They open at 11:30. I was starving so we decided to abort our original plans of getting a full lunch at Nazif's and got pizza. However, I had heard that the owner of Nazif's made a good kunefe and the only other kunefe I had was from Phoenicia so I wanted to try it out. We headed back to Nazif's at around 12:10. They already had a table. The place looked clean and it appeared as if we were the only non-Turkish patrons (another table came in after us). Promising. The staff were moderately nice but not overly so. I think it's just the Turkish (European?) thing of not being overly friendly unless they know you. We were seated and given menus. We were full from the lunch we just had so decided to make it light: we got the baby cheese pide, a kunefe for 2 (there's also one for 3), an ayran (salty yogurt drink), and Turkish tea. It came with a complimentary basket of rather good chewy bread and some olive oil with an herb and pepper blend (no onion/garlic - I asked). The bread was good enough to just munch on its own. We actually finished everything - even all the bread - despite coming directly from lunch. The baby pide was about 5 or 6 inches long and the side salad was perfect. I thought it was a great value at under $3! The crust was thin and slightly crispy. I do love thin crust pide, though I hear that more authentic versions have a thicker crust. The kunefe came last and was nice and warm. It also wasn't too sweet! The cheese was encased in the middle of the noodles and it had a good topping of chopped pistachios, though my husband did find a shell on his half. I liked the kunefe a lot but at $9, I'm not sure it'll be a regular thing. As for the ayran, it was a lot thinner and less salty than I am used to. I'm a little iffy on the ayran even though I welcome the lower sodium content, but everything else was quite good! All in all, not bad. The place seemed clean and the female employee with the hijab was really nice though shy/quiet. I'd love to try more things if they didn't have onions or garlic (or meat) in them! Haha... I'm not exactly sure what authentic Turkish food should taste like, but if I had to guess, I would say this is it. I just love the diversity in Houston and I mean diverse food. Nazif's did not disappoint and smelled amazing upon walking in. The staff were very helpful and almost seemed like a family owned restaurant. They were thorough explaining the menu and answering our questions. I also noticed we didn't have just one waitress. They all helped each other so that was nice to see. For an appetizer, we ordered the cheese pide, which is pretty much dough with cheese on it. Kinda like a cheese pizza but so much better. I ordered the Alinazik, which was grilled chopped eggplant served in this amazing garlic yogurt sauce and meat on top. The sauce was SO delicious. Their pita-like bread was also very soft and fluffy. My BF ordered the mixed grill which was a bunch of veges, meats and French fries. Also very delicious. Their generous portion sizes allow you to have leftovers as well. I had to get two fillings done at my dentist and met a couple friends at Nazif's. Unfortunately, my mouth was partially numb so take this review with a grain of salt. From what I could tell, the food I ate was great. Like a lot of Turkish restaurants, we started things off with some complimentary pita bread and olive oil. First off, we shared the cheese pied which is basically cheese bread shaped like a boat. I had never had a cheese pied but I'm now a fan. My main course was the iklander kebab which comes with sliced gyro meat on a bed of sliced pita bread smothered with a tomato sauce. This is served with yogurt and rice. I've had this Turkish dish once before and it was excellent here, definitely better than the other restaurant where I had it. Another plus, the portions are HUGE. If you don't need a to-go box, you're a trooper. The service was good. The restaurant is pretty casual and the bathrooms are a little gross but hey this is some good Turkish food if you're in the area. Almost forgot, you get complimentary Turkish tea at the end of your meal. Score! read more

I had been wanting to try this small turkish spot in the Westchase area for a while now. I finally came and was assuming it was a fast food style setup for some reason, turns out it is a but more formal. I ordered the adana wrap. While waiting for the food to come out of the kitchen, the waitress brought out their version of the pide bread. The pillowy soft bread was addicting, just like at many other Turkish places here in Houston. She put spices and olive oil on a plate for the bread, so the meal started out great, so great I was able to finish the while basket of bread. I initially tried to order the doner wrap, but they came back 5 mins later and said they were out. How can a Mediterranean/ Turkish place be out of gyro meat? Isn't that like McD being out of beef? The wraps ranged from $7-9, which I thought 9 was on the high side. I then had to switch to the adana wrap which is similar to my typical order at other Turkish restaurants around town. I asked for some hot sauce or chili paste to put on my wrap (which I thought was common for all Turkish places to have) and the waitress brought out sciracha instead, lol. Guess it's not so common afterall. Not a bad place to try in West Houston, but my favorite Turkish is still Istanbul in the Village, for the value, taste and atmosphere. read more

Not worth $40 a person. went for their Ramadan buffet and food was mixed with American type dishes. food seasoning was subpar compared to dining at a place that is worth $40. the flavor profiles lacked oomph, most dishes tasted the same flavor wise. making reservations was difficult as they kept changing it to 2 people and when we got there while people after us were served tea in glass cups we were told before they were served they were out and provided paper cups. while traditional dishes of chicken stuffed with walnut have amazing flavor profile that takes you on a trip of spices with a robust nutty profile and crisp chicken roasted skin. the chicken stuffed with walnuts lacked seasoning (event salt). if I had paid $20 a person and had it end with paper cups I would not have been displeased; but at $40 a person I will never go back. having eaten from coast to coast as well as traditionally over seas, this was 2 stars at best compared to the pricing. and to have the people next to you served with glasses and real table ware after you are told they don't have any for you ... read more

I gotta say i realy like Nazif's. Family owned restaurant, first time was after Ramadan celebrating Eid. Restaurabt was busy abd hey had live music which was pretty cool. We got a couple notable dishes. Eggplant salad is both savory and refreshing, great start. Entree satnd out us iskendar kebab, a famous Turkish dish made of sliced lamb over bread topped with tomato sauce and a side of yogurt and rice. The flavors come together really well and its my favorite dish here. The heese dessert with pistachios is rhe dessert to get. Not too sweet and nice combination of textures, also highly recommended.
