we visited this restaurant to try their Knafeh. The ambience is beautiful. Although we wanted to try their Knafeh but could not stop ourselves from ordering other items on their menu. Veg and Chicken Pide are good. Knafeh was out of the world as expected. The staff was good and quick with service. Lentil balls was not what I expected. I was expecting them to be fried. They were nothing but lentils with some spices. Overall, it was a good experience. Will return to this place to try some other items except lentil balls.

First time here, and it was very good!! Lahmacun and shepherds salad were exactly what we wanted!

The restaurant looks nice and clean when you walk in. The waitress was attentive and nice. The menus were diverse. I liked that they had vegan and vegetarian meals clearly marked. My friend liked the chicken kebab platter. The chicken was tasty. The only downside was having French fries on the platter, as they seemed out of place. The falafel wrap was good, and the veggies in the wrap were fresh. When signing the bill, I noticed gratuity was already added. I am fine this idea, as I always tip anyway.

Here is the salads so fresh and rice pudding .) Eggplant Salad Omg there is so many food

Usually I always come to Nazif on week days and really like their kabobs and lentil soup also rice pudding. Today we came with my friends to Nazif on Sunday and they had open buffet. I recommend to come and try their open buffet as well beside week days. Food was so delicious and fresh everything was so good as always.

We really enjoyed our first visit to this foodie paradise, we're already planning the next visit. My wife and I both got lunch combos from the last page of their extensive menu. My wife got the combo 3, ground meat pideh.....looks like a pizza shaped like a canoe, yum, lentil soup which was the best thing we both ate, and rice pudding. Each combo lets you choose between a selection of entrees, fries, salad or soup, a dessert and a soft drink. I went with the combo 4, I picked the beef stew pideh, lentil soup, baklava and a diet coke. The lentil soup arrived with a basket of bread that went well with the soup. Great food and stellar service, we'll be back soon.

    Kunafe

Food is consistently amazing and servers are so friendly and attentive. One thing I appreciate so much is that they have a spot for people to pray in private! Their kunafe is the BEST in Houston and I've tried it at a lot of places. I also love the baby shish, wings, and keema & cheese pide. I highly recommend!

This was by far the worst Mediterranean food I've had in my life. Normally they have an ala carte menu but because of Ramadan, they had a buffet also available and it was priced at $25 per person. I came here with a few other friends as they wanted to dine with me. We had a total of four people of which two were fasting and two were not. We were all excited about the buffet but it fell way below our expectations. The line was very long as there were hungry fasters ready to fill their plates. The first thing I noticed was that there was no beef kebabs and basically no beef dish except for a cheap look-alike version of stroganoff which by the way tasted awful and penne pasta with ground beef?? They had a chicken dish which look good as it had chunky cubes of chicken but it was very dry and bland at the same time. The hummus was also very dry and pasty and the Greek salad was mediocre at best. The tabouli needed more lime and garlic and I don't even know how to describe the other dishes that were on the buffet. I don't even know what they were and I struggled to develop a taste for them. There was a desert section with plenty of desserts but nothing that stood out as I sampled and nibbled my way towards utter disappointment. There was a plate of some mangoes and pineapple which I somewhat enjoyed. This place was an absolute rip off and this buffet is not even worth $10 and to not have any good beef item, deserves the price to be slashed by $10 at least. Save yourself the money and just go to Dimassi's right down the street. These people offer a very misleading buffet And I'm still upset at blowing away $30.

We stopped by for an early dinner at about 6 pm. Yes that's early for our desi standards. We were greeted and since we had a reservation, we were warmly seated and tables adjusted to accommodate our party of six folks. Unfortunately those seating was too hot and sun was shining right on our table and was very hot so we requested and moved to a different booth. The restaurant was very busy and the staff was warm but struggling to keep up with the customers. The AC was not working and still at our new sear we were HOT and sweating...swearing. Our orders took about 20 mins to come but felt almost like an hour because of the heat. The appetizers were probably complimentary and were the most tasty. The mixed grill and the burger was served in a different wooden platter which was unique and tasted good. The drink we ordered was the ' Uludag ' and was an orange Soda. It feels bad but overall we could not be comfortable bcoz of the heat and felt the staff was nice and polite but over worked and understaffed and could not even get us water and tea and drink took a long time and apologized profusely.

After a very busy day, my wife and I deserved a very delicious lunch. This was the perfect choice (our 21 year recommended). Eating here was our first but it won't be our last. We enjoyed the quick service and friendly environment. Waitresses were very polite, especially Ms. Perihan and knowledgeable about the food. I definitely recommend this to everyone.. (my wife asked to to also include that it is a very clean place:)

I cannot recommend this place enough. Food is delicious - they are attentive. Sultans choice dessert was so good - lamb was delicious - dips are great

I hate to lower my rating but service was terrible. There were only two waitresses. I wasn't offered water. I had to ask for it as well as for bread. They used to bring silverware wrapped in a napkin and I didn't get any. I had to again ask for it when I received my vegetarian sampler platter. I could have used a napkin when I got the bread with olive oil. The menu has changed and the prices have gone up. A salmon sandwich is about $16 from what I saw on the menu. I used to love this place for the reasonable prices and better service.

I really enjoyed everything that we ordered at Nazif's! The chicken kebab was phenomenal & so juicy. The lahmacun was some of the best that I have tasted. We appreciated the clean environment, friendly service, and the owner was very attentive. Great place to enjoy delicate Turkish flavors in Texas! I'll definitely be back.

Established back in 1977, this Greek café has grown from a humble walk‑up window into a full‑fledged neighborhood institution, beloved for its hearty Mediterranean comfort food and lively, come‑as‑you‑are atmosphere. The Montrose location stays bustling from lunch through late night, drawing in everyone from families to night‑owls to longtime regulars who've been coming here for decades. What keeps people returning is simple: the food hits. Diners consistently praise the authentic Greek flavors, especially the gyro plates -- a blend of beef and lamb shaved from the spit, tucked into warm, fresh pita, and finished with cool, garlicky tzatziki. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and the pricing stays reasonable, making it one of the best value spots in the neighborhood. Your gyro arrives stacked, your fries come hot, and your plate feels like it was built by someone who actually wants you to leave full. The menu is huge, but the classics shine brightest. The Greek salad is crisp and refreshing, loaded with feta, olives, tomatoes, and their famous dressing. Service here is fast, friendly, and efficient -- the kind of counter‑style operation where the staff keeps things moving without losing the warmth that makes the place feel welcoming. Guests frequently mention how upbeat and helpful the team is, even during rush hours. The vibe is lively but never chaotic: families grabbing dinner, couples sharing mezze plates, and regulars chatting with staff like old friends. It's casual, energetic, and unmistakably Montrose. One thing that sets Niko Niko's apart is its deep Houston history. The Fetokakis family has run the restaurant for nearly half a century, maintaining a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality that helped the café earn multiple Houston Press awards over the years -- from Best Pork Chops to Best Family‑Owned Restaurant. Even as the city has changed around it, Niko Niko's has stayed true to its roots: hearty food, Greek hospitality, and a community‑driven spirit. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the experience feels like Houston -- diverse, warm, and full of character.
