I had the Lamb Hanith with extra lamb and both types of Sambusa, beef and chicken. The sambusa were great and recommend both. The lamb hanith was great as well and very filling, I shouldn't have gotten extra lamb. The meal comes with two sauces and I use the yogurt sauce on the rice since the rice was slightly dry. I need to try the Mandi Lamb again when I come back. The service was great and the lady at the counter was very patient with me and explained to me the difference between all the lamb dishes they have. My first time having Yemeni style food, I really like it a lot. The service was really good. Since it's our first time here, the waiter staff explained the menu to us and make recommendations on what the try. They don't have tap water only bottle water if you want water. If you really like lamb, I recommend getting Fahesa, the fish was good too and Hanith Lamb! The service is outstanding as they explained the menu to us and the food came out very fast. We just found this place a couple of months ago and we absolutely LOVE IT! My favorite is the Hanith Lamb, the other dishes are all amazing, it's hard to chose from, best lamb in town for sure. The lamb hanith (lamb shank piece) and chicken zurbiyan were really dry. Fattoush and marag were alright. But what got me upset was the service. So, I usually don't write about service because people can have bad days and what not. The waitress was annoyed with us as soon as we sat on the table. I just let it go because maybe she was having a long day, but then another group came in and she started smiling and laughing with them. My friends immediately ordered the last two mandi lamb. I ordered my chicken separate because I do not eat lamb. The chicken was fall off the bone tender. (Slightly dry meat because it is halal, but still very tender if that makes sense). It came with a yogurt sauce and a salsa like sauce. Both were very good with the rice. We tried chicken mandi rice here and that brought me to couple years ago when i was in Middle East. The Mandi rice they have tastes like original Mandi rice in Yemen. The fresh sauce also awesome. They serve the dishes in aluminum plates, exactly the way they should be. Room for improvement: please open earlier. They open at 12 pm but they were late also when we were there. So we gotta wait outside. Second thing, there are a lot of flies until they burn the oud fragrance. But the smoke from the fresh new burnt oud was so disturbing. I have come here many times with friends and family and every time the waiters miss the simplest (but most important) things like plates and silverware! What's worse is when you ask them you are given lackluster responses. The place is clean, food delicious but again the staff are so disinterested in actually being servers that it leaves you thinking if. it had been better to just go eat somewhere else. It shouldn't be that hard to get plates, silverware and napkins...Perhaps they only have a limited amount and that's why they are so stingy but again you're in the restaurant business so these things should be pretty standard.
