I debated leaving this review because I typically love this place because of how well of a job the tech/manager Huy does. Although it is more on the pricey side, Huy does such a great job that I keep coming back. Service is definitely a hit or miss, based on the tech, which is why I try to schedule ahead, but today I was desperate so I took anyone. I was already a bit annoyed because the tech cut my cuticles too deep that it burned, but then I was charged an extra $5 today because I got a "special nail shape". See photo & please feel free to tell me if I'm crazy or not. I requested to keep my round/oval shape but we needed to cut my nails down because of a crack. I had NO Idea that what I requested was a "special shape" - again look at the photo - my nails look basic and short. AND they're not even lol. At no point was I informed that it would be an extra cost. $5 isn't a make or break spend, but it's basic principle and customer service. I inquired because I was confused and the owner charged in and was incredibly rude, dismissive and tried to gaslight me - which led to this review. If I'm bugging I'll delete this review but I sent it to friends, ones who ran salons, and they all agreed this was ridiculous. read more

Seriously, Natural Nail Studio is the best nail salon in all of Delaware! It's such a chic and relaxing vibe when you walk in. I love the technician Kim who takes such great care of me and my toes with the jelly cure lemon dream pedi! I have never in my life had my feet soaked in jelly and it feels amazing. But it's not just that...there's real lemons, milk, essential oils, flower petals, paraffin wax, hot towels, massages, a heated herbal neck wrap pillow that is divine, hot stones and my color looks perfect. Today I also had a toe that was bothering me and Kim handled it right away. As soon as she addressed the issue, I felt immediate relief! This is my second time visiting this salon and today I had my first dip manicure with Tammy after my toes were beautified! Tammy did such an excellent job. I mentioned how much I love this salon and she reminded me how they are only natural and a lot of people love it because all of their products have zero fumes, this zero chemical smells! I didn't make the connection until she shared and Tammy is right. It smells like a dream there rather than overbearing chemicals. They also have great shield guards, color selections along with matching options if you want dip for your hands and or gel or regular polish for your toes. I'm also interested in using them for some eyebrow shaping and possible tinting since I'm still scared to try micro blading. As far as appointments, I love all the questions they ask. I see some reviews say some odd things about that. I love how the owner asks if you have polish on (they should know that because it's going to take time to get it off and more importantly to remove it correctly as to not damage your nails). I love also how they ask if you want a design or something else. It shows really excellent planning and strategic operations on their part where they are not only mindful of their clients but also mindful of their team's time. Amy and her staffs always do a phenomenal job on my nails. The shapes always turn out precisely like what I ask for. I am very picky when it comes to my nails but I never leave the salon with a complain. Prices are very reasonable, you will definitely get what you pay for. I have never seen any nail salon has as many colors. I am not sure what products they use but if I decide to give my nails a break, they are so STRONG and HEALTHY. My first visit to the studio as I'm new in the area. The staff are pleasant the studio appears clean, but the manicurist cut the cuticle on my toe during my gel pedicure. This was after my foot was thoroughly cleaned from soaking in the pedicure bath. The next morning my toe was sore and became infected and progressively became worse. The manager of the store made me drive to the store to show him my toe, which I did. The only thing he would do was to tell me to go to a doctor, and give him the bills, and wanted me to sign a waiver saying the nail studio wasn't liable. Hands down best mani/pedi experience I could say I've ever had. Such a bargain also. Got the $50 special cucumber mojito pedicure, which consisted of a full hour of pedi pampering! They used hot stones, sugar scrub exfoliant, hot towels, hot wax, cooling gel, of course a good soaking, and a worth while massage, and a paint!! It was such a quality pedicure. I had Hieu which was fantastic! The pedicure also included a few minutes of shoulder massage which was such a pleasant surprise. They were able to get me in right away. I was greeted as soon as I came in. Salon is clean, they require everyone to immediately wash your hands. Masks are required. They were courteous and friendly. Best kept secret in N. Wilmington. I made an appointment yesterday and went in today for a gel manicure. First of all, this nail studio is very clean. You get good vibes immediately. They have no tv's and they play really nice music. I felt relaxed, which is how anyone should feel when they schedule some "me time." The customer service is excellent, very nice staff. Overall, the staff is noticeably younger, I'd say mid 20s- early 30s. It's probably weird to even mention this, but I suspect it's the reason the nail studio seems so modern. The lady that did my nails was a bit older. She was so nice and really took her time to do my nails well. I did not feel rushed. Very professional. It's true. It does not smell like a typical nail salon here. They also offer you a beverage (including wine) with any $20 service. There's a min. $10 limit if using a credit card and tips can only be given in cash, but they have an atm inside. Parking is great. Will absolutely be coming back. I've been coming here every now and again for a few years now and the consistency is always there! It's doesn't matter who I have , it's a great service every time. Recently, I have had Kim who's always great. Their spa pedicures are unlike anything I've ever had from a nail salon. They put time and high quality oils, lotions and ingredients into the service You also receive a hot herbal neck wrap as well as multiple massages with scrubs and lotion/oils. The hot stone treatment at the end with the paraffin wax just seals the deal for me. It's a perfect service for wintertime and a full hour long. The salon is always clean and odor free. I'm a male and routinely get a manicure and pedicure for grooming purposes. Friendly staff and clean environment. However the quality of a basic manicure and pedicure was terrible. The pedicure was painful and left a small hematoma under one of my nails. In addition, the nails weren't evenly cut and cuticles barely trimmed back. Lastly, the massage consisted of applying a thin layer of oil on my hands and feet for several minutes. I will respond to your incorrect assessment to your poor customer service and manager's overbearing attitude towards his employees and customers alike. This was my second visit to repair a a second chipped powder manicure in one week and one half following the powder manicure. The tragedy in this review is that the manager is overbearing with his staff, interrupts the technicians when working, overbooks technicians when busy and forces them to work faster when squeezing in additional appointment. I have witnessed this behavior Firsthand and choose to overlook his treatment of employees and feel their discomfort during my visits. I am compelled to set the record straight and voice these concerns. I found a new wonderful, relaxing salon thanks to your bad behavior towards a dissatisfied customer. The new salon questioned where my last powder manicure was done and informed me the powder was done incorrectly on several nails and powder was applied too thickly on all the nails. I suggest you correct your in house problems before blaming customers for their frustration with your salon. Stay away from this business. They have no concept of how the service industry works. The woman who runs it is aggressive and rude. She sits at the station near the door and is hyper-focused on micromanaging every single move the receptionist makes. I sat waiting for my daughter to have her nails done and witnessed her attack virtually EVERY customer, talk down to her employees and try to overcharge everyone. She tried to yell at me for not mentioning that I wanted a design on my daughter's nails (I had during the booking of the appointment and then again when we arrived when we showed a picture of the design) but when my daughter was finished and there was no design she yelled at me for not booking it. When I told her I had and another employee confirmed she just walked away, no apology. Her cell phone was on max volume and would ring repeatedly and she would ignore it. She spoke disrespectfully to her employees who all seem to cower in fear from her. I honestly get bad for all of them. Not exactly a relaxing spa-type environment. While I appreciated the care when I was able to get an appointment with their studio when I had an emergency and had to cancel I was given a lecture on how I should cancel earlier and how busy they are on the weekend. It is a Friday when I had my appointment. I thought calling that I needed to cancel would have been appreciated rather than rudely treated. I actually did ask about the up charge and was told that it was because of the gel... it may not add up to you because you're right , it doesn't make sense, it doesn't make sense how much I was charged. I wasn't going to go back a forth about it due to the fact that there were other customers waiting to check out ( I'm not rude and wasn't willing to hold anyone up over $30) the response I got from the employee set the tone of the issue not having the potential to be resolved. Per your statement of "the deposit will be refunded", I was told that the deposit WOULD BE ADDED TO THE FINAL CHARGE..but ok.
