I Visited 202 nails Just trying to feel good for my b-day coming up this weekend. I don't know if it was my presence or me taking my socks off, but Hana had a attitude the moment I sat at her station. It got so intense that I felt as though if I had not stepped in and asked of her to PLEASE be more gentle with me. She could've possibly twisted my fingers out of the socket how she was handling me . She tried to make up by giving me a small talk, and a massage that did not feel good at all So with that being said my first experience at this location was not a good one due to her unpleasant attitude. This was not the experience I expected reading such good things . I got a spa pedi and a gel mani. I went in early and was seated immediately. A younger woman searched for another color for me as I soaked my feet and then Tina arrived. She asked about pressure and what service I wanted immediately with a smile. She is pretty tiny but she is sooo strong. I actually had to have her go light on the pressure which is impressive. She checked in constantly and shared her recommendations. She is a perfectionist who did not rush either service and then she massaged my neck and back. It was amazing. No. Inconsistent work and unreliable booking. No compensation for the inconvenience of cancellations. Management blamed poor customer service and communication on nail tech. Very unprofessional. If their proficiency at providing excellent technical skills as nail artists was a higher level, maybe the rating would be different. As it is, too many bad experiences at this salon to give a different rating. Inconsistent paint jobs, inconsistent ability amongst nail techs to know what level of service your going to receive, inconsistent customer service, and overpriced add-on. Eg.: $4.00 more for a "longer wearing" regular nail polish is ridiculous. That's just one example. A reminder: there are always an abundance of nail salons from which, we, as clients, can choose. It might be a good business practice to up your customer service skills and also evenly train your staff so ALL are at a premium level. I had an experience that I hope others won't experience. I have been to 202 Nails a couple times before the the pandemic and always left with a nice manicure and pedicure. Recently I scheduled an appointment and was given a rather inexperienced technician for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Lets just say my nails looked like I painted it with my left hand, just absolutely sloppy. I was extremely shocked and in disbelief and asked if the technician can call someone over to examine their work and if it is acceptable. I am giving two stars because at least the other employees came over to take a look and fixed my manicure to the best of their ability. I just have to say I had better experiences and results from 202 Nails before the Pandemic. But this experience really begs the question why was I assigned someone so inexperienced? read more

Love 202 nails!! Came for a spa pedicure and full set. For the pedicure you get too choose your own scented scrub, I chose apple martini, however they have many other choices. The sos pedicures included a scrub, hot stone massage, hot towels, and a foot massage. My full set was only 28, and an extra five for the shape. The staff is always friendly. I came in at 6 not knowing they closed at 7, however I did not feel rushed and received great service! They also keep your glass full whether you drink water, or wine. read more

I did dip powder with Lee and had a great experience! I think my nails look great, and she did a good job at making them look natural and not too chunky. Also she was pretty quick and very kind! Usually I don't love how nail techs shape my nails, but Lee took her time and she did a great job. The place was pretty big and very nice. My only critique is that the top layer was done with gel and cured with a UV light, which is not my preferred method, but if it causes any issues I will update my review. Right now it looks great and no signs for concern. Overall I will definitely be back! Covid-19 precautions: When you walk in and they take your temperature and have you use hand sanitizer and of course require a mask. They asked that you wait in your car until your appointment time but I just walked in and they had availability. They have plexiglass dividers between the front desk and you, between the nail tech and you as well as between you and the customer that may sit next to you (there was no one next to me). Lee also had me wash my hands after she was done with the service. They also have a sign saying they're adding a 10% increase in their prices for services due to the extra purchases they had to meet for sanitation but I think it's totally fair! read more

This is my go-to nail salon in this area, and Linda is my girl! She does perfect dip manicures - whatever shape you like, thin and natural looking. She can do anything you ask for and always turns out beautiful. The salon itself is clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly (they even offer you a beverage!). Went back twice, had Sue and Lee. Lee was phenomenal, gave an awesome leg and foot massage, and painted beautiful sunflowers on my toes. Her back massage was also very nice, though confined to the upper back (Sue did arms too - but I also got a mani that time). Overall, Lee was very thorough and I will definitely ask for her when I come back. I will say she did not do the hot stones as long as Sue did, but it was also very busy today. My mom had Tom and he did a great job on her feet. My nails are smooth, have good coverage, and are beautifully styled. As always, the facility is very clean and neat, and the receptionist was very polite. Each customer gets a new plastic covering for the tub, gets to pick a salt, and sits in great massage chairs. So disappointed. Even after going back to tell them about my bad experience - I left feeling even worse than when I got them done. I never spend money on 'fun' stuff like this - so, I figured I would be hard to disappoint! But it was everything from being rushed thru as fast as possible, shaped wrong, no hand cream or massage or fixing my cuticles, and just looked messy. Very disappointed. Definitely a cheap manicure, good for a student discount. I walked if hoping for a gel color change and waited about 15 minutes. There was no hospitality. I had no idea where to look for gel color choices or what the prices would be. When receiving services, there was little attention to my comfort and a lack of communication. The nail polish remover was dripping from the foil and soaking my entire hand during the removal process. I walked out with a gel manicure that didn't quite seem set yet with what seems like crumbs on my thumb nails and a thin layer of polish. Walked in as soon as they opened and was immediately seated for a pedicure with Tina. Tina was absolutely amazing and did a wonderful job from start to finish. Her massage was amazing as well. Marie did my fill in, and can I just say OMG! If this wasn't a 2hr drive I would be back to see Marie EVERY two weeks! The way she fixed and shaped the horrible job someone else did two weeks ago in a Maryland shop was absolutely gorgeous. Marie definitely knows her nails and is great at it. Loved this place!! I have been going to 202 nails for 10+ years and after last night I will never go back. My pedicure appointment was for 7 pm and by 7:20 pm the employees were cleaning the floors with harsh chemicals and the place smelled so bad!! They brought out these massive orange fans to dry the floors and pointed the fan right at me. The employees were also putting together new chairs and the noise from the banging was so loud! During my pedicure the nail tech used a cold towel that was supposed to be hot and my hot stones were like ice cubes. She used the wrong color and I tried to tell her and it failed. Overall I am pretty disappointed about last night. The owners were there to watch this all happen. My advice is not to go there and get any service within an hour of their closing. read more
