I recently brought my boyfriend to Red Lion Nails for his very first manicure and pedicure, and we both had such a wonderful experience. I've been coming here for a while and have always received great service, so I was really happy to see that he enjoyed it just as much as I do. Mai did my nails as usual, and I truly cannot say enough great things about her. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and kindness always make my appointments something I look forward to. My boyfriend's nail technician was a lovely woman in the back row who sits in the middle near table 10. Although we didn't catch her name, she did an amazing job and made his first experience very comfortable and enjoyable. I also want to mention the nail technician at table 3, she is incredibly talented and consistently does beautiful work. The entire staff is kind, welcoming, and clearly takes pride in the quality of their services. The owner runs a fantastic salon, and it shows in the atmosphere and the work the team provides. I've been a loyal customer of this nail salon for 5 years and have always made appointments in advance out of respect for the staff's time. My recent experience was unacceptable. I arrived 5 minutes early for my scheduled appointment and had to ask who my nail tech was. The owner was not present. I waited 15 minutes past my appointment time and was told she would be with me shortly. I then waited another 10 minutes. When the nail tech finally finished her current client who had gone well into my appointment time she went around asking other technicians to take me because she had fallen behind and had another appointment coming in. She made it clear she did not want to do my nails. This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I value my time, and after 5 years of loyalty, consistent appointments, significant money spent, and many referrals to this salon, I expected far better treatment. Went in for a regular pedicure and was sat immediately. The lady doing my nails was very kind and asked if I wanted the spa pedicure which I got. I let her know I wanted a regular pedicure with a design on the big toes. She said the design wouldn't work with regular polish and we could only do gel. I said okay and she continued. It cost about $75 before tip and this was the design. Too expensive for what you get. read more

I impulsively decided to treat myself on a Monday to get my nails done. My usual place is just "ehhh" so I thought to try somewhere new. My expectations were more than exceeded. Red Lion Nails was exceptionally clean, and professional. I originally wanted dip powder nails, but was told they don't do dip powder. So I decided to get a regular full set, and they let me know they don't do acrylics. The receptionist informed me they do essentially what is (what I think) a gel overlay? I have gotten my nails done here numerous times, and every time I leave I say to myself, I can't stand this place. I'm not going back... Seriously, this will be my last time going to this salon as they're prices are too high for the lack of expertise and customer service. Most importantly, I hate going to salons that don't let you wash your hands after the file and cut, they have you was them when your nails are done.. if then... As I was getting my nails done, I attempted to give the lady some direction on how I want them but she caught a nasty attitude and went to tell the manager, who proceeded to sit me with some one else. The worst part of this salon is that hey charge for everything. -Like why am I paying extra for polish, when that's supposed to be included in the price of a manicure/pedicure.. -If Im paying $60 for a full set why are my cuticles not being cut and why do I have to pay extra if I ask for you to cut them. Then pulls a cuticle cutter from her draw... like hello? Oh y'all reuse utensils huh.. -Shape- Extra... and some of them can't even do the shape correctly. I'm just done with this place.. My nails look like Sugar Honey Iced Tea! They're gonna end up just like the rest of these salons in the neighborhood that no one goes to anymore, very soon! read more

Got my nails and toes done for my birthday, was charged 146$ for a full set and pedicure, this is quite insane pricing but it is what it is. I was charged 25$ for small sticker designs on my all of my fingers and an additional 12$ for "gel" in addition to the full set payment(which I'm confused about, is gel not included in the full set?). 3 days later, yes not even 1 week later, one of my nails popped right off, I called back upset after how much I already paid + tip and was told they were booked the rest of the evening and had to come the following day. So, after I had to wait, then went out of my way to go back, they had the audacity to charge me to fix the freaking nail!!!!! I paid it, but I won't be returning. No apology, no nothing. To top it all Off, the guy who fixed my nail made the nail huge compared to the other nails and made my French tip not match the other ones. At this point I was done, I wasn't even going to go back about it or argue. Lesson learned. The only upside was my nails looked decent THE FIRST TIME AROUND and the guy who did them initially was nice. read more

My mani and pedicures are always great and haven't disappointed, but what does disappoint are their prices! Be prepared to spend coming here. Recently I learned that they add a $12 additional fee if you decide to use gel polish ON TOP OF the gel manicure fee and $17 additional fee for gel POLISH pedicure. It's 2022, who gets regular polish and why are we still being charged extra for gel? It still chips! And I'm sorry, but anyone can paint some toes, they don't do anything special at this place to be charging that much on top of their regular fee. $17 to use a gel polish? I can buy 2 whole bottles of gel polish for that price. That's a scam. They won't get the pleasure of touching my toes again that's for sure (lol). Also, there is no price menu hanging anywhere in the salon. Not even when you first walk in. That should tell you all you need to know. Other salons do the exact same thing for $20 cheaper & that's where I'll be for pedicures. I saw someone else's review mention that the lady at the front desk doesn't smile. She's doesn't. I have been going to this place about a year and a half now and never had problems but due to a health issue I hadn't been there so my feet were in Dyer's need. As the lady and chair 2 was doing my feet the lady in chair three so I'm looking at my feet because she was shaving them down and they start talking in their language sitting next to her chair 4 so I talking and looking at my feet and and laughing I knew they were talking about me. All of a sudden they were speaking in their language and normally they don't talk at all so when I proceeded to leave after she was finished I was telling the owner what happened and the girl tried to then speak to me which I did not acknowledge. I told her do not talk to me you were sitting back here talking about me and your language so don't try to talk to me now. She tried to say something and the owner or manager told her to stop talking because I didn't understand what she was saying but I did so needless to say I will never go back there again and any woman of color I recommend you not go there either.! read more

I have been there twice and have not been happy either time. I don't get anything fancy... just a gel mani and pedi. Both times the technicians were older ladies but they were clearly new to doing nails. My cuticles were flooded with polish which is the first thing you learn NOT to do when learning nails. Although they seem nice for as expensive as they are I should not have to leave and reshape my nails and get rid of my own excess polish... even after I showed them the incorrectly shaped nails a young tech had to come over and fix it. It's a decent place but only the young techs seem to do nails well. I would not recommend going here unless you have someone specific you want to do your nails otherwise they will stick you with the ladies that are still learning. I was trying them cause it's close to my house but I'll go back to my old place where they knew how to do the very basics... polish nails :( read more

I got my nails done four days ago and one has already came off. I have not been rough, I have not been lifting heavy objects like the person told me too and my nail still broke off easily. I don't get my nails done short so I would think that they would make my nails thicker to have more resistance so that they wouldn't just snap off. not to mention while I was there I asked for a very simple design of a French tip and a heart and the lady who is doing it messed up both of the things and instead of telling me that she couldn't do it or giving me to another person she just did it poorly and I had to go home with nails I was unsatisfied with. I am very disappointed for the fact that this place had very high reviews and they charge an absurd amount for very simple designs. They charge for everything including the shape which just be a basic thing if you're getting your nails done. I am very disappointed and won't be going here to get my nails done again. read more
