I have been coming to this salon for quite some time, and Kelly is truly amazing. I recently spent close to $200 on services for myself and my 4-year-old, who has also been here before. I was very disappointed to be told upon leaving that my child is "too disruptive" to return for services. She is 4 years old -- which was known at the time I scheduled the appointment -- and while she did get a little antsy, she was not loud or out of control. We visit salons regularly and have never had an issue. This experience left a very bad impression, especially as a loyal client who spends a significant amount of money here. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I would not feel comfortable recommending this salon to others. read more

My 14 years old daughter first time had her nail done here for her formal dance and was charged $135 (she tipped $15) so the total was $150 for a full set of arcylic with designs. it was way over charged! read more

Lavish Nail Spa - Nail Salons Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

After questioning the already high $68 for a gel fill and polish, paying cash (to not incur an add on fee) and feeling overcharged, I went home and saw their published price of $58 online. (Still too high). I called back and got the same receptionist who explained that I was charged an additional $5 for a cut down and another $5 for shaping? Never before has a salon charged me extra for what is essentially a part of a normal manicure! The technician was good and I'm happy with my nails, but it is unacceptable to be charged extra for simply zipping across my nails with a Dremel to remove 2-3 weeks normal growth and another extra $5 to file. Shame on them! I'm feeling taken advantage of and will not return. Instead, I'll continue to go to a NJ nail salon of very good quality who treats customers well and charges $20 less for the same service. read more

The salon is upscale. They offer you a drink when you come in. I loved my mimosa! They do beautiful work but they're expensive. I paid $123 for a mani pedi. That was with 30% off!!! Lee was my nail technician. I also spoke to Anthony. He is the owner. read more

I told the nail tech it wasn't glued down enough and she insisted it would stay on . 15$ is already extremely high per finger for nail design ... place is a rip off Over all experience was good , not anything special , but it was good service up until the last 15 mins of my nails being done . She just seemed to screw everything up so fast . I wanted to give 4 stars but because of the over charge on the design and it not even staying on I gotta give 1 star read more

Lavish Nail Spa - Charged 15$ for this and not even 24hours later did it fall off - Nail Salons Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

I'm definitely not one to complain and accidents happen but today I went to get my eyebrows waxed and after the service my eyebrows were burning. I got to my car and noticed that my eyebrows were extremely red (I know that's sometimes normal) but also noticed a layer of my skin was removed from under my eyebrows on both sides. I went back to make them aware of the situation and told them I need to go to urgent care and get this looked at. They let me see the products and what the temperature setting was at but the owner acted as if this has happened before.. she didn't apologize at all. All she could recommend me to do was put Vaseline on my burns. I've worked in the beauty industry and would never let a client leave unhappy with a service with out trying to make it better or at least apologizing for my mistakes. read more

I've been coming here for years, when I started off it was a great experience but as of lately it's been truly disappointing. My last visit, will be my last visit ever. I've spent hundreds of dollars here. In August, I got acrylic on my toe. On my next visit in September I asked my nail tech to remove it- he fought me on it (for whatever reason) but I told him I wanted it off. Well unbeknownst to me, it was left on & now both of my big toenails are gone & suffering from a fungal infection. I've been 3xs since for pedis and no one said anything about my toes. I will never come here again. & to make things worse, on my last visit I had a 1pm appointment, they tried to make me wait for another tech to get finished her 1pm appointment before they got started on me. Truly fed up with the unprofessionalism and mediocre service. I got gel and when I left it looked like a regular pedicure. Horrible! read more

I went to this nail salon for the first time yesterday! I was very impressed with the decor and the staff was extremely nice! I was told my service would cost 100 dollars and when i got to the receptionist she told me that my price was 130! I did not like that at all when I'm given a price i would like that to stay the same! I didn't add on any other services. I do not like being played so i will not be returning. read more

It has been hard to find a good nail place since I moved to Delaware. Jenny is amazing. She has earned her 5 star ratings.

I experience long lasting nails when I get a gel manicure at Lavish. I have been pleased with every technician as I always call ahead but don't plan much more than a moments notice. I am always accommodated and never have to wait. I appreciate the staffing and the hour break from life when getting my nails done (the good music and wine help too!) read more

My first time here and the salon was beautiful, nice and clean. However, I cant say the same about my nails. I got dip powder on nails, pedicure and brows and my bill was $93. 3 days later my nails started chipping horribly. I wanted to express my concerns so I tried calling the salon but would never get an answer. So I reached out via Instagram DM because I do not like to leave bad reviews publicly. They read my DM but never responded. Which leaves me here... poor quality service. I've been getting dip powder for two years and never experienced chipping like this. A waste of money! read more

Lavish Nail Spa - After 3 days this is what my nails looked like. My quarantine nails lasted longer this poorly done job! - Nail Salons Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

I'm in the same boat as other reviewers. The salon is beautiful and they have a very VERY large selection of dip powder which I personally appreciate. It is just SO expensive. My manicure cost $50 and took waaaaaaayyyyy too long. We are talking close to the 2 hour mark from start to finish. This will be a good "once in a while/out for a girls' day" kind of place but with that type of time commitment and the expense, sadly it won't be my go to salon. read more

Beautiful hidden gem, but expensive and over-priced. I randomly stopped in for a gel manicure and pedicure, close to closing time as a walk-in and was able to be taken care of immediately. I previously had dip and three nails were broken so I didn't give the tech much to work with. After some understanding about the shape I wanted, the job was OK at best. Filing burned my fingers slightly but that could've been due to my nails being weak. Although it is a beautiful salon, it is over priced, especially for the area. At least $10+ more for services compared to other salons. read more

I was referred by a friend and made an appointment well in advance. I was the first appointment of the day, and Michael gave my dip manicure and regular pedicure. My nails had not been done in well over a year so they were and in great shape. I was not happy with how he was doing my manicure, at all, and after questioning why he was doing things a certain way and having him file my fingers instead of my nails TWICE, Michael told me he had 20 years experience and knew what he was doing. Less than two weeks later and the dip is coming up and away from the bottom of my nails. After all of that, my friend said she had the same person do a dip manicure today and left the salon totally ticked off. The salon may not be too bad, but this particular nail technician is absolutely horrible! read more

I'm not sure who I'm more annoyed with the salon or myself. I had dip polish and went to have it filled and everyone told me it was acrylic that I had. I've had dip before and the process was the same. The things she pulled out were not dip materials. I should have just left bc I don't want acrylic but I was there already and had a gift card. Not to mention the $5 charge for shaping that wasn't even the shape I originally had. My first experience was ok so I figured I'd give them three stars as an average. Prob will not got back. I don't like confusion read more

STOP! Read this before you step foot inside. Yes the beautiful decor is stunning but the service is a DISGRACE AND COMPLETE ROBBERY!! They say car salesman and dealerships are cons and thief's well let me tell you they come nowhere near this place . First the services are so ridiculously expensive. They act like they are in Greenville. YOU ARE IN NORTH WILMINGTON NEXT TO A ACME!!! They charged me $35 for a $17 manicure n didn't disclose it. They charged me $30 for a "essential pedi " when it was no massage , nothing but the EXPRESS PEDI. THEN they don't have the color to match for my friends toenail polish so we get charged $20 EXTRA FOR GEL FOR TOES!!! The bottle of polish Probably cost them $1 wholesale and they're charging $20 a set for JUST 2 COATS OF GEL NAIL POLISH AND THIS IS ON TOP OF the already Ridiculous prices!! The PROFIT MARGIN IS over 200%!!!! Remember if the pedicure and a manicure we're superb you would not see this review. I like to get what I pay for. I like excellent service if I pay you for upscale service I better get upscale treatment an upscale service. I got neither!! upgraded packages w/o my knowledge. My 13 year old niece Could've done my nails and toes better people did . 2 mani n pedis for $180!!! THATS RIGHT the nail pedicure N MANI was terrible!!' I had to go back in after I left and have him do my cuticles on my HANDS nails!!!! ($35 mani !! W no cuticles !! But yet in the Package it says cuticle treatments included - my ass!! and when I went back in they looked at me like I was crazy! The package it says cuticle treatments???!!! "Oh we didn't know you wanted that" you didn't know I wanted my cuticles done???! Lol omg !! It's actually comical at this it that they call this a business. He clipped the skin around 3 nails n looked at me like he's done. I'm usually not speechless but at this point I have nothing to say. I just got up to leave and on my way out I said something to the ignorant no personality not a people person Receptionist about the services lol she just looked at me like she didn't give a crap. I knew I was wasting my breath that even speak to her she has no control she has no power she's not in charge it was a waste of my breath so I left. are you crazy I will be getting my refund of over $50 that they overcharged me for services they did not render. If they don't refund my money they will be getting a dispute with my credit card they can fight with my credit card company And then they have the audacity to put a piece of paper on the cashier that says that we are now going to charge five dollars extra because of the Covid virus because of supplies supplies supplies. !!! they got about 1000 bottles of nail polish in the place and about 1000 designs Then they say something because my mask fell below my nose for a second mind you as I'm getting my nails dry and they approached me about it as their employee has their mask completely blow their chin mopping floors around me to where I stand up and almost fall because the floors are soaking wet this place is a complete joke I thought I was on candid camera. Stay away folks stay away !!!!!! Update the owner Tony would not call me back for four days they refused to refund my money even though they overcharge me for services they did not give me I was told that they were basically show me on the cameras what they did I was there I know what they did look at the pictures so I'm gonna have to dispute it with my credit card because these people do not care about customer service as a matter fact when I grab the brochure I knew right away the front of the brochure says" we may refuse service to anyone anytime" What new business owner puts this on the brochure people who don't care about customer service and they're all about profit these people are going down read more

If you want to feel like a valued customer, don't go here. They do not care if you are happy with the service at all. Well, I got a manicure and pedicure a week ago. Within a week, the polish started chipping on 6 toes. This has never happened to me in the 20+ years of getting pedicures. I have only had this happen after about 3 weeks which rarely happens. Even then, they may not chip on my toes. After paying for a pedicure a week ago, they charged me $20 to polish it over. Why would you charge for just re-polishing nails that were just done a week ago?! read more

Lavish Nail Spa - Mani - Nail Salons Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

Beautiful salon and very clean. Loved that they offer you a drink. Nice touch. Too expensive for service rendered. When I called to make an appt, I was told 50.00 for a mani/pedi. When I got there, I saw a sign that they're charging $5.00 more than normal. I wasn't as bothered by the price as I was that the tech rushed through both mani and pedi. I was finished in just a little over an hour. The term you get what you pay for not so true here. read more

First time here for a pedicure. Beautiful place. They have a ton of pedicure and manicure chairs so would be a great places for a wedding party or girls day. The staff was super friendly and my nails look good. But like everyone said - it was way overpriced. I asked for a regular pedicure. It said it came with a hot towel (which I didn't get) and the massage was literally about 30 seconds per leg. I even asked at the front desk if I was given the express pedi by mistake and she said, "no the essential pedi includes a very light massage". I really wanted to love this place as it is close and looks great - but can't justify the charge when there are a million places around that do a good job for much less. read more

I have not gotten my nails done since Covid started but a few months ago I needed a pedicure. I went with my DIL because they are taking very good precautions and I felt safe. However, the gentleman who gave me the pedicure actually insulted me. I know I have challenging feet, I'm not unrealistic. But for someone who I'm paying for a service to say during the pedi that " he was doing the best he could with what he had to work with" was so embarrassing! At the time I laughed. What was I supposed to do? I have recently found out he is the owner???? I will never go back because he has now made me so self conscious and embarrassed for something I have no control over. read more

I was greeted and was immediately taken by Lee. I had dip powder nails done. He did an excellent job. I got 20 % discount, however in my opinion it was still over priced. I paid 40$ where the average at other salons is 30 thru 35$. read more

First time here was perfect. After the second time I don't think I'm coming back- I guess because of the covid rush everything had to go well the first time. Second time the person checking in and out was extremely fake about being nice and was just overall ignorant. The pedis are not worth the price and the manager just continues to push extra pricing it seems like. Had to ask them to wipe down the eye brow chair which it looked like someone spilled a drink on. Absolutely Wild compared to the first time. Went from telling everyone to telling no one read more

I went here two weeks ago and the customer service is horrible. They are charging every guest an additional service fee to be open during the pandemic which I don't understand why. Then they are very expensive I paid $205 for a refill with a design and and pedicure with gel. I normally go to Philadelphia and get the same services for $110 I would never come here again and I will suggest nobody comes here unless you want ya pay for nothing special. read more

Both my boyfriend and I had a spa pedicure here today and the experience was just not good at all. The place itself is beautiful but it is certainly not "spa" like. We both received the worst pedicures we've ever had. $5 up charge should be explained to you at booking at not when you come in. My tech at least smiled and talked while my boyfriend was absolutely miserable and did not speak a word until it was time to pay. Pretty much paid $65 for a bunch of lotions and a nail trim. The fact that you're paying extra for the massage should mean a massage and not gently gliding your hands across someone's legs. 30 second shoulder massage is just pointless. Should have been $30 based off of the services rendered. read more

The nail salon is packed!!! When it came to my pedicure, it wasn't even a 30 second massage!!! They didn't even use massage oil and lightly grazed my nails with the filer. I switched to three different nail techs because each one i went to didn't know how to do what i wanted!!! The only good thing about this place is their interior design and cleanliness. Other than that, the service is poor, and very very very very over priced. read more

it was a decent place. very nice inside and nice guy but the nail job wasn't the best. some of them are chipping and a little spotty. i also haven't got my nails done i'm a whikr and used to do gel so this was my first time doimg real polish. he put them under this dryer and just left and i was not informed i could leave when they were dry. he never let me know i could leave. might try another place next time read more

Beautiful Nail Spa, however, extremely overpriced for the services. I had Henry for a pedicure. Substandard work at best. Cleaned up and placed used towel on top of a pile of clean towels. A woman 2 chairs down talked on her cell the entire time. That ruined my peace and quiet. The pedicure I had included a massage, which I did not get. While my nails were drying, I asked another staff member how long to dry and she checked my nails and came back to have me choose my color again because she had to repaint them since Henry did such a crappy job. Upon checking out I asked the desk staff about the massage and she said it was included in the one I picked when the menu clearly stated it was. I am returning to my go to nail spa in the future. read more
