I write this as I'm sitting in the pedicure chair. I called before coming in - for a manicure and pedicure. It was a good 10 minute wait even though I went in according to the time they gave me. I felt like my manicure was rushed. I didn't want any colored polish, just the "natural" look. She put only one coat - I don't know if it was the base coat or the top coat; when it should have been both! Then she made me sit in the pedicure chair, but didn't give me a heads up that it'll be a wait. 20 mins waiting I then asked her how much longer so she turned the water on. I soaked my feet thinking it meant any minute now.... Another 15 mins later so a total 35 minutes later finally one of the male technicians came over to do my pedicure. I had to ask him to apply a top coat to my finger nails... Also, I looked around during those 35 mins that I had NOTHING to do but wait and noticed EVERY single other customer had a drink - water, wine, cocktail.... Me??? NOTHING. No one offered me anything. I finally asked one other tech if only some customers get drinks and she said any and all customers can so I asked for a glass of wine. I'm a paying customer. I would've loved to make this my go to place. But after todays experience I'm not so sure. As soon as I finished typing this, the male tech and I got talking... turns out he's the owner and the lady who did my manicure is his wife and co-owner! I'm surprised that that's the tone she's setting (ignoring me, not offering a drink, not letting me know how long I'm gonna be waiting etc)... he was really nice to talk to, and I'm glad it ended on a positive note after what I felt was a bad experience. I came here recently and I will never return. The owner is always on her phone just rambling and not paying attention. She cut my cuticle and even though it was a small cut and started to bleed she did not even say sorry. I had to tell her to put something on my finger. The experience was downright awful and I am not sure about the overall cleanliness of the implements either. read more

I was provided a discount card for my birthday which was on July 8 and only when I asked to use the discount card the owner decided to not honor the discount and then became rude and obnoxious with me. I have been to this establishment over the last few months and I have noticed that they different reactions to people who look like me, an African American. The people at this establishment continue to treat people who looks like me with poor taste and it is not okay on any spectrum. People who look like me should not patronize this establishment as they continue to do what they want yet they will accept our green money and decide to do our kind any kind of way. This is not okay and will never be tolerated by me and we as people should not have to tolerate this behavior and discriminate in this day in time. They have either been crooked, too thin, too thick, broken, or my latest design has rhinestones on my nails and within less than a day they started falling off. I really want to keep giving Jenny a chance, but when I'm paying close to $100 every time I go, all these things that go wrong EVERY TIME can't keep happening. I have been here a few times before for a pedicure and have been happy with the results as I left with beautiful gel nails and feeling refreshed and relaxed. Today is hopefully an exception as I came for a gel manicure instead. It wasn't too busy because it was a holiday weekend and I felt that the technician, Jenny (also the manager), was more interested in gossiping with her fellow technicians than doing my nails. She tried to hurry along the gel polish removal by using the sanding tool a few times instead of leaving the acetone on a bit longer to lift the gel naturally. This process left my nails looking a bit damaged or uneven in the bed and she didn't buff my nails to even it out either. On top of that, she nicked the cuticle in my middle finger which you can see in the photo and the gel base coat and top coat was so thick that I had to peel my nail from the skin so some of the leftover or overhang could be removed in order for my nail to rest comfortably on the skin. I will probably not come again as there are other options in the area. read more

Don't know your language and it is quite rude for you to be speaking to your client one second and getting interrupted by one of your employees and just completely, stopping whatever you and your client were speaking about and answering or doing whatever you do talk to your other coworker and then you come back to the client completely forgot the conversation and makes the client feel like you didn't give a shit in the first place, so why'd you fucking ask It's unprofessional for you to continue answering your telephone while you're working on clients and having conversations with your client out while you're working on clients, you should have another coworker who's not busy with the client answering the phones and booking the appointments that is just professional courtesy quite ignorant and disrespectful to not be upfront with your client out on What the cost of services will be and how quickly you try to her that you do add on five dollars here or five dollars there for a fucking little snip snip or just because they're slightly longer it's an extra five dollars and you know the French manicure it's an extra five dollars. Jumping up to get things., answering calls, passing out a basket with candy. My dip nails are just ok. A little thick and bumpy on spots. I've been here twice now- once for a gel pedicure and once for an acrylic fill. Both times I had great service and really nice results. The salon is clean and always well-staffed. This is not my normal nail salon. I stopped in for a manicure last week because I had dropped my son off at a spot nearby for a two hour birthday party. It's beautiful inside and they have a nice selection of dip powder. This is why I've given them two stars and not one. I waited 25 minutes for a nail tech. Once I was seated she got up 6-7 times to answer the phone, help other staff members and cash out customers. She asked if I wanted my nails cut down. I said yes. She cut them totally off. There was no manicure. She did not file my nails. She did not buff them. She did not trim my cuticles. She cut off all of my nails and got to dipping. They are not at all formed or shaped. They're short and frumpy and the dip is so thick that my nails clack and click incredibly loudly anytime they smack up against something. She also drilled my cuticle when attempting to make the dip less thick so now I have a small scab on my thumb. And I was charged $40 for this which is $5 more than my usual place and this includes removal of the old dip (I did not have anything on my nails that needed removing at this place.) I am never disappointed when I come here. Sometimes I will try other places but I keep coming back to this nail salon. They just do an amazing job. Last time I was there, a Sunday, I just got a regular gel mani. The woman took her time and her attention to detail paid off! She was so detailed oriented, catching and fixing even the smallest imperfections--I've been complimented on them no less than 3 times by three different people since getting them Sunday afternoon, and it's only Tuesday. On top of ALL of that the price can't be beat: 28 dollars to remove my old gel polish and give me by far one of the best manicures I've ever gotten. I have had to return to get my nails repainted multiple times even after I got the gel polish which is supposed to last. This has happened not even a week after I had originally gotten my nails done. I have made appointments and had to wait because one of the staff members had to leave the salon and come back (on multiple occasions). I just started coming to this place 6 weeks ago. I went in for a refill, the girl made my nails too smooth and the color chipped off after 4 days. I went back after 2 weeks for a refill and 3 days later 6/10 nails started to bubble and the color peeled off. I went back and they redid the nails that needed to be fixed. 4 days after having them fixed the same thing happened and the color peeled off of 3 nails. I went in a week later(today) for a refill and they would not refund my money or give me a good discount on this refill. A months worth of terrible looking nails and a rushed refill is what I got. The manager Jenny said she would take care of me and ended up doing a 20 minute refill. Bad customer service and no care about the end result once you leave. read more

Had an appointment at 3:30pm to get a dip manicure and a pedicure. Didn't end up leaving the salon till almost 7:30..Not a terrible manicure and the woman who did my nails was nice. Asked for a French manicure and the woman painted my nails ALL white..The service was absolutely slower than slow. The jets in my pedicure did not work and the women asked "do you care?". Best nail salon in all North Wilmington! I moved to the area about two years ago and I've never gone anywhere else. The staff are all very friendly and their work is perfection. I get my nails done bi-weekly for work and I've never had a bad visit. Jenny the owner is always very accommodating and all the technicians are very talented. Really wanted to like this place again, after years of leaving to go somewhere else because of poor service, i came back last week. I not only made an appointment, but had to wait 30 mins after my appointment to even have someone start working on my pedicure. this is the reason i'll never go back- i give myself a pedicure at home around once a month, meaning i exfoliate, trim my cuticles, trim and paint my nails, etc. so my feet are not bad, but i guess when the girl was using the scraper on the heel of my foot, dead skin was coming off-hence the reason for them doing this (to get the dead skin off) but the girl was making disgusted faces and making a big deal about it-in front of everyone too. the reason this bothered me so much bis because i know that i take care of myself, and to embarrass someone like that isn't good customer service at all. i'll never go back because everytime i've tried them over and over again i always end up with a bad experience- i don't even know why i have tried to like them so many times. what a shame. read more

Today was my 3rd time coming to this shop. This time was not the next best experience. My nail technician was Nano. She did not wear any gloves. When she was done with my pedicure she did not walk me over to the dryer. She handed me my shoes wet when they should've been dry. While my feet were drying she asked if I had a card. She didn't ask if I was ok. They have a loyalty program that you get 1 stamp for each visit of &15.00 or more. I gave her my card and she stamped it without putting her name on it when it should be listed. I did pay her and even gave her a tip and told her thank you. She took my money and never said anything else. She could've at least thanked me for the tip that she definitely didn't not earn. I was very disappointed with the service I received. I observed the other mail technicians walking their client to the nail dryer and making sure they are ok. I'm not sure if I will go back but if I do I will not allow that nail technician to service me. read more
