The pharmacists treat you like you are interrupting their lunch break. They never smile. They give you false information. I was sent to three other Walgreens told they have my medication in stock even though they knew that those medications were tethered to other patients. I waited 35 minutes on hold only to speak to a woman who was rude and frustrated she had to be talking to me. She interrupted me and would not let me speak, explain myself, or ask questions. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. I had a valid prescription for Adderall sent in by my doctor after a recent appointment. I've been refilling this medication for the past four months at this same location using GoodRx and paying cash -- because my out-of-state insurance doesn't cover it. Never had a problem until now. This time, the pharmacist and their assistant -- both of whom sounded completely untrained and uninformed -- insisted I couldn't pick up my medication without insurance. I explained that I've been paying out-of-pocket, using a discount card, and that this is entirely legal and standard practice. They told me that past fills were done as a "one-time courtesy," which is flat-out false. When I asked for an explanation, they simply repeated "rules are rules" and refused to engage in a reasonable conversation. They even hung up on me twice. I called my doctor, and she confirmed they were absolutely wrong and even called the pharmacy herself. Yet, the pharmacist continued to argue and block the fill -- even with a current, valid prescription and a doctor verifying it. This experience felt shady and incompetent. I've since transferred the prescription to another pharmacy with no issue at all. My advice? Steer clear of this place. They're uneducated on basic pharmacy procedure, unprofessional in their communication, and clearly not equipped to handle controlled substances or customer service. Thank God for iPhone recordings -- the world deserves to hear how absurd and unqualified these people are. read more

My husband and I went to Walgreens pharmacy to get our vaccines. Everything went smoothly. The staffs were excellent, especially technician Bestman. He is very efficient and truly dedicated to his work. read more

WORST WALGREENS EVER. They hung up on me after waiting over an hr for them to answer my call. They can't get insurance straight at all. Pharmacy staff is RUDE as anything. They blame you over their system and then when the thing gets fixed on their end, they swear it's not their system. Staff is rude even if you ask a question. They don't try to explain anything. They even lie when they say they will push a prescription through and then they don't. Had to wait two weeks for a prescription bc they won't stock it at all. read more

Why did I just spend 35minutes and 19seconds on hold with the pharmacy waiting to be spoken to about availability only to be hung up on before I spoke to anyone? 939 York Road - absolutely horrible. 6301 York Rd- I asked if they had a type of pill there, they said no not there yet - fine can you tell me where I can get it then, since many Walgreens will do that for you- apparently that was not possible for this young man. This store has the worst pharmacy department. I've been 3-different times and each time there was a problem. The tech was rude and gave inaccurate information and The pharmacist hung up on me. I never resolved my issue at this location. I started going to this location because it was closest to my new home. Hugh mistake. I transferred back. Pretty interesting experience here. I went in to make a simple purchase that I had just made from another Walgreens store using a coupon. I am the type of person that if you tell me something I am not going to sit and go back and forth with you about it. I will just say never mind. For whatever reason the coupon was not working and cashier called the manager. Long story short the cashier basically just had a nasty disposition. The manager assisted as much as he could and I still was not able to make the purchase and that was fine with me. It was just the purpose of how the cashier displayed that the job was not even important to her. I don't expect any special treatment but, we all should be blessed to have whatever job we have. I had an appointment at 2:20 for a flu shot. I arrived at 2:10 and there was one person waiting. Great, figured I could still make a 3:00 appt that I needed someplace else close by. Well never mind. I sat their for over 45 minutes after the person before me had left. Why was I waiting? Finally almost an hour later I am called by the pharmacist. I receive my flu shot and I am bleeding down my arm. I have never had that with any vaccine, even all the Covid vaccines. He grabs about 12 huge cotton balls and gives them to me to clean it up. Huh??? When I see that the blood ran and was now dry down my arm, he keeps handing me loads of cotton balls??? I said " the blood is dry, can I get an alcohol wipe". HE TELLS ME THEY DONT HAVE ANY?? What? How do you administer a vaccine and not have alcohol wipes near by?Needless to say, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I am in health care and this was just a little insane. read more

Mr Avon, the pharmacist here, will take it on himself to refuse to fill your minor child's maintenance medications if 1) you have no rx insurance and want to pay cash, 2) you have the temerity to point out inconsistencies in what you've been told about when they will process the RX/have it in stock/ask for a call or text when it's ready. He says he "doesn't have to explain it" and you can "call it discrimination if you like." Have experienced good customer service from other Walgreens so this is surprising. Buyer beware. If you have to get an RX here be prepared to kiss some a$$ no matter what they do. Also corporate says that individual pharmacists can't refuse RX for these reasons so who knows what's going on. read more

Not a good experience at the pharmacy. I tried switching one 'scrpt here because the line is usually shorter than the CVS across the street...now I think I know why. The staff working at the pharmacy counter were very unhelpful and downright argumentative. I will not likely be returning to this Walgreens for a long while. read more

This is the worst Pharmacy I have ever been to! Every single time I refill my prescriptions something is WRONG. They pull old scripts instead of new ones, my doc sends scripts constantly and they "Don't receive them." "It must be your doctor, not us." They tell me there's no more refills when I have 4 refills left. Its a HEADACHE! The drive thru has been broken forever. The staff is nice enough, but honestly it just seems the aren't organized at all. read more

I have been to this Walgreens twice. Both for totally random things I needed in the middle of the night. AND WALGREENS HAD THEM! I once needed jello and I ran over to the friendly Walgreens and not only did they have jello, but that had a store brand AND the store brand had a sugar free raspberry flavor. MY FAVE. This last time I went I needed a lightbulb for my refrigerator and they had them too. The customer service is tops. They are a great addition to the neighborhood. read more
