So I am going to go ahead and give this business five stars because they went above and beyond for me! I received misleading information about my appointment. My daughter was graduating and I was told that we had an appointment around 1:00but when we got there it was like I was speaking a different language. My daughter had her heart set on getting her make up done for graduation and she Is a good kid so I was making that happen for her. Since MAC has the dumbest rules of course after leaving the location in Macys which was no help and the location in the mall and having everyone act so nonchalant and lazy as $hit I had one person at this location Shawn save the day. He waited on customer and did my daughter face all at the same time. He was being overworked, he missed his scheduled lunch break for me but he went above and beyond for me. I appreciate this so much that I will more than likely have to give him a token of appreciation. read more

HOLY COW! Frist off- I don't understand how this MAC location has as many stars as it does on Yelp, when you google it and it only has 2.4 stars.. and honestly it should only have 1 or less. I have been to this MAC a handful of time. I have been there with makeup on dressed nicely and I have been there dressed like a bum in yoga pants. I have to say it doesn't matter what you are dressed like or wearing they treat you all the same... like crap. I am a HUGE makeup lover and MAC fan! I have been to MACs all over the world. This is worst MAC I have ever stepped into. Unless you are friends with someone there, don't expect to get help and even more upset if you are white don't expect to even be noticed. I have stood there waiting for help and have watch other women stand there and waiting for help also. I am going to list off things that have happened to me in this store 1- I went there and asked to try on a lipstick (they weren't busy) instead of applying it to my lips they handed me the lipstick and told me let them know how I felt about it. 2- I stood there for over 20 minutes waiting for someone notice me. Finally, someone asked me if I needed help. Asked her for what I wanted, she walked away and took me that it would be waiting for me at the counter. I wanted to ask her more questions.. but she was too busy talk to friends and laughing to notice I needed more help. I walked up to pay and the items I asked for were not at the counter. NEEDLESS to say, I walked out without anything. 3- I was standing in the store WAITING to be notice and finally got someone's attention for help and she answered "I about to get off" and then walked about without helping or getting someone else to help me. I could go on, but I am getting worked up and need to spot.. maybe I will update and share more later. long story short, unless you are in the cool kid's club don't shop at this MAC. I had the best time here. I had walked past the store several times. I was unsure if I wanted to take a chance because I had never had my makeup done by them before and I have a bad case of acne. Lets just say the make up artist worked wonders. I just wanted a basic look and that was just what she gave me. I was pretty disappointed to find out that the day I did go was her last day because she was getting married and moving to another country. I wished her well. Amazing customer service! I went to the MAC counter in Nordstrom. The lady who helped me was friendly, and very kind. I did not have to try hard to get her attention, she was willing and able to help me. She made my face up beautifully so I can see how the products would look on me, not an easy feat as I have acne ridden skin. No mean or unwanted comments about my skin, she only made me feel beautiful- what more can I ask for! I ended up making a huge purchase and I am very happy with the cosmetics. read more

Really hate when my wife decides to stop in here because all the men just wait outside or inside depending on if you also like to wear make up and the store reps basically take them hostage trying on a ton of overpriced makeup. I spend a lot of money at mac. I've done there recycle program for yrs. This is far by the most ratchet for given me a free eyeshadow, I've seen. No bag, item out of the box, and handed to me with n red X. Although the Red X is normal presentation is very thing. Would they have taken the recycled items I provide broken? I came in here on a Saturday evening big mistake I know better than to go to the mall period on a Saturday. The store was overly crowded with ppl including teenagers who clearly had no intentions on buying anything and they were in there running the makeup artist like crazy. Luckily I came in for something specific or I don't think I would have been helped because it was so busy. All the employees were more than helpful checking to make sure all the guests had been assisted. Check out took forever though because they were having technical issues therefore only one register was open. I'd go back just probably not on the weekend. read more

Today my cousin and I stopped by for some quick makeup. We had gone through different MAC stores and Sephoras and couldn't find someone to match our color. As we went in, a bit more sketchy than normal, we were greeted by Vanessa Lazo. She is one fantastic employee and MAC cosmetics should be happy to have her. Not only was she helping a few other customers at the same time that she was helping us but she was very patient and polite and on top Of that, she didn't look overwhelmed or irritated as most people I've seen, would roll their eyes when seeing too many customers. It was a very busy day but Vanessa kept her calm with a professional manner with everyone she encountered. I highly recommend Vanessa at MAC in Towson mall. She does wonders with makeup!!!!!!!! I got my makeup done here for my engagement photos. Everyone here was very nice and complimentary. My makeup artist, Morgan, was super sweet and did a wonderful job! She made me comfortable and was great at listening to the look I was going for. The photographer loved the makeup job and it looked beautiful in the photos. The customer service was quite dull and disappointing. I had never been to a MAC store, always felt a bit intimidating, however with some recent research on some of their products I wanted to try out, I decide to go. The set up of the store is completely different then sephora which is what I am use to. Because the products in Mac are stored in the back, this requires to have some type of interaction with their employees, which is completely fine with me and actually offers the potential to build more rapport with their client. The employee attitude was not helpful, I told the representative that this was my first visit; she didn't care or try to make me feel welcome. Nothing is worst to me then going to a store, wanting to splurge/spend money and there is no customers service for you to do so. Make up makes me so happy and it is not very hard to persuade me to add or buy a new product that I have to have in my life. Unfortunately this was not that case, I left with the 2 products I perviously researched about. Overall going just confirmed my initial feeling of feeling intimidating. The cosmetics itself are great however, the artists and cashires working there are rude and unhelpful. I waited for 20 minutes for help which I never received. I asked for help finding blush and was told I needed to wait, then three people who walked in after me where helped and I was not. I finally just to the color I wanted off of the sample station, took it to the front and told the cashier to go find me that shade so I could buy. It was difficult for me to give this store a 1star. Clearly we were the wrong color of skin. My daughter was prepared to buy products and her makeup artist was rude and extremely unprofessional. We waited, which I had no problem doing. She got 1 cheek done and 3 women walk in which she knew, left my daughter and walked over and started apply makup to her friend. My daughter stood there for 5 minutes before I decided to walk out. I hate to play the race card but clearly that store discriminates. I will tell everyone I know to go to Nordstrom. This is now my favorite place to go to when it comes to make up. Before I started coming to MAC didn't know anything about make up. But my 1st time visiting Was a great experience ! The vibe was welcoming warm and friendly! And everyone seemed to take pride in their work! I was helped by Vanessa Lazo and she is my favorite person I go to for all of my make up tips and to get my questions answered ! There is not one time I wasn't able to get my questions answered by Vanessa ! She always show me how to properly apply the products I purchase and always introduce me to new products as well! Her interpersonal skills and customer service skills are excellent ! She is the prime example of a great make- artist up team player and she takes pride in her work! Every time I leave the MAC after consulting with her I get a lot of compliments on my make up and I feel good about myself ! And because of this I am a loyal customer to MAC at the Towson Location only! I love MAC and If you haven't been to the one in Towson Mall you need to go ASAP! read more
