I went into this salon expecting a basic, professional service and instead left with a literal injury. The technician working on my nails cracked one straight down the center to the point where it was BLEEDING. This wasn't a minor mistake, this was painful, careless, and completely unacceptable. It got so bad that the manager had to step in and remove the nail entirely. You would think after causing that kind of damage, the least they could do is take accountability, but no. They still had the nerve to charge me. I paid to have my nails done, not to leave injured and upset. The lack of care, professionalism, and basic customer service here is unbelievable. I didn't want to leave a negative review and I feel bad doing so because they were clearly trying to be kind and accommodating- but honestly my nails look like sh*t. It's a gel mani that won't last more than a week and there's a bubble on the thumb that keeps getting caught on all my clothes. I think they're really good at acrylics and cool designs so if that's what you're looking for but you'll probably be disappointed if you get a seemingly simple gel manicure on natural nails. I don't get my nails done a lot so I'm even more sad :( but they tried and seem to have some regulars that like it here a lot so maybe I'm just missing something. read more

I'll start off by saying I did not read the reviews before visiting, but when I entered this establishment I did not experience racism as an African American woman. However, I do agree with other reviewers that this business lacks manners and skill. I've been hopping around trying to find a consistently efficient nail salon for a couple months when I found Nails Image. I booked one of the appointments when they first open so that I wouldn't have to wait or be around a lot of noise. They greeted me and showed me to a chair. While I was starting to get my nails done, one of the outspoken employees who greeted me recognized the brand of my purse and continued to pick it up and strut around with it, and worse, she asked me how much it cost in front of everyone. My only response was that I didn't feel comfortable answering that question. Throughout my appointment, she continued to pick the bag up three more times and ask how much it cost and where I got it from. This is all while more people were trickling in. I wouldn't call myself a germaphobe, but I do not like strangers touching my things and it's very classless to ask someone how much money someone spent on something you already know is potentially expensive in front of strangers. The technician who was doing my nails was also friendly, but I came in for gel refill and she said I needed to get 6 out of my 10 acrylic nails removed and replaced, which is always painful for me. I asked for black polish, which after a feed days seemed to rub off and wasn't the gel polish/coating I paid for. A couple of weeks later when I went to a new salon, my nails were in the same condition they were when I went to Nails Image. The nail technician said my acrylic nails didn't need replacing, Nails Image was just looking for a reason to charge me more for their lackluster job. I'm not sure if the poor customer service was their intention, but the nails I walked out of Nails Image with weren't even worth the low price they charged me for it. This experience justified my spending more for decent nail services anywhere else. read more

They've always fit me in with no waiting. Prices are on the low side. Services aren't the best I've ever had and I saw others getting the same services that were getting better quality. So it depends on who provides the services, as to the quality of the service. It's just ok for not having planned ahead. read more

Made an appointment on a Thursday night for a mani/pedi at 1:30pm the next day. I showed up at 1:15pm and was seen right away. I sat down in the pedi chair, and they lined the tub with the plastic. The chair gave a decent massage. The pedicure was thorough, gave a nice little massage and hot stones. And the polish job looked good. A 2nd person worked on my nails, soaking off the gel polish and filing etc. I like when they work on soaking off my gel while the pedi is happening. Now for my gel mani - I showed a very specific picture that I found online (it's the ABGT symbol, for anyone that knows what that is..). It's pretty simple, but has 6 colors. The woman that did my mani gathered all the colors to match the picture, and ended up doing a great job. They look like the picture. And all that for $56! read more

I was used to coming here for awhile and my nails were always done with care. The last couple of times I went there, Linda had someone different do my nails and they turned out horribly and they were extremely hard to remove. The customer service wasn't very great either. They do a decent job (not all of them, 3 of the stylists) and we went a few times but are not going back anymore. My friend and I were in there, and they kept talking over us. When we asked if they were gonna shape our nails the right shape, the stylist just said: 'I'm not done yet and I know how to do my job!' in a pretty rude manner. When you ask for a specific stylist on the phone they promise you that stylist but you end up with someone else. They make up their prices. When you ask why it's more expensive every time they come up with excuses like that they filed our nails (they do this every time so it doesn't make sense). When I asked for a recipe of the higher price, all of the sudden they couldn't give me one cause I payed in cash and later it was cause I asked too late. If you want the same quality and honest people every time I wouldn't go here. read more

Wonderful experience at this salon... I wish I could pack them up and bring them home to NY. It's a very warm and and inviting atmosphere. A place where you can relax and get a few laughs in. We were visiting DE while hubby was in meetings there and My 5 year old and I wanted our nails done. I'm super picky about my nails since I am a nail tech myself. I was looking for a place to be affordable but do a nice job. Which is usually not possible . I also knew I would be taking my daughter and didn't want it to be a fancy place , or take too long bc of having her with me. It's a little hole in the wall, but very busy! I was happy with what we got! Cindy did our nails and I got gel polish , it's lasted nicely and she painted the WHOLE nail, even sealing the ends! I could understand them, although they are all Asian. My daughter got toes and nails painted and they did a nice job. All for 35$! What a steal! Will def use this as my go to place for when I travel with him, but prefer my own work in Frederick md, Thomas Scott salon and spa. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! What I just found out about this establishment has me shook to my core. Two friends of mine just visited the salon to get their nails done. My one friend, a white woman who has not got her nails done in three years, was with my other friend who is an African American woman. While sitting in the salon getting their nails done, they experienced disgusting racism first hand. While doing their nails, the nail tech told both of my friends VERBATIM that she was "scared of black people" and that the only reason she even took their appointment in the first place was because my friends "sounded white on the phone" while making the appointment." THE AUDACITY. It gets worse though, because momentarily after admitting her racism, the nail tech turns to my African American friend and says, "but you're nice." .... What a sick joke. This is so wrong, on so many levels. The fact that other nail techs heard these discriminatory remarks and chose not to condemn this behavior from their coworker also shows what kind of establishment this is. My friends left feeling humiliated and upset, the complete opposite of how you should feel leaving a salon. Not only that, but their nails turned out horrible. The designs were sloppy and lazy. So not only can they not be decent human beings, they can't even do their job. As establishment that conducts business like this is unacceptable. The employee should be terminated immediately. But the business as a whole should seriously reconsider how they conduct themselves as a business. If they're okay with racism and discrimination, what else are they okay with? Would YOU trust a business that's openly racist AND can't even do their jobs correctly? I wouldn't. Which is why I will NEVER step foot in that place and why my friends will NOT be going back. There are many other businesses that are worth your time and money - this is not one of them. read more

Best nail salon I have been to by far. Linda and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The salon is clean and has a great atmosphere. There are so many gel color options! The staff is very talented and can do anything found on Pinterest! The waxing is awesome as well. I can always count of Linda to make my eyebrows perfect! Normally I'm red afterwards but not when I get my eyebrows done at nails image!! Linda also is very accommodating with parties and large groups. I have been going to Nails Image for 15 years and they are by far the best nail place around. Linda is so dedicated to her customers. The pedicures are incredible with a massage and eye brow wax is flawless. My daughters even come from New York to get their nails done. I moved out here from California, and this was the best nail salon I found in this area. I had been to a couple of different salons in southern Pennsylvania and Delaware which only brought me utter disappointments. Linda was very friendly but not overly too talkative. The salon had the best selection of colors, and Linda knew exactly what she was doing. I got my gel nail done in a half moon shape about a month ago, and it is about time to replace them now. The cost was a little higher than LA, but I guess it is what it is if I live in DE. Definitely recommend it! read more

My husband and I came in for pedicures and I also needed fills. Based on previous reviews we decided to give this place a try. We were so pleasantly surprised at how fantastic these people are! I don't know the name of the lady that did my husband's pedicure, but he was extremely happy when she was finished! Linda did my pedicure and fills. She is so friendly and definitely takes her time and knows what she's doing! She even squared my toenails perfectly, they looked just like those perfect pedicures you see in ads and photos in salons! I was extremely happy with that! When she did my fills, she even took the time to clean up my horrible cuticles at no extra charge. She fixed the terrible set I already had from a previous salon visit somewhere else. I was amazed at the difference! Looks can be deceiving from the outside. Looks like a house converted to a salon but the inside is nicely decorated. Let's talk about the work though. I have never been to a place with such attention to detail! I got a pedicure and could not say enough good things about the quality of work! She went back to check over her work several times to make sure it was perfect; and it was! I didn't have Linda which everyone speaks so highly of but she seems very friendly when greeting me and making sure I was doing okay. They really do appreciate their customers. Chance for a raffle give-away type thing just for being a customer. This is my first time here and I would defiantly go out of my way to re-visit. This place is great! read more

They didn't answer the phone when I called so I walked in. There was one customer getting nails done. I asked for a pedicure. Water was cold. Pedi was half-a$$ed. They offered a mani and I said "no but could you clean up the cuticles?". Really crappy job. The guy who did pedicure spoke no English. The women were dressed like...well. The furniture was worn and tattered. Before I was done soaking the dude put all the hardware into the bath where my feet were, to clean them off. My mind kept telling me to flee. My pedicure was everything I expected. I would have liked a slightly longer massage, but the hot stone rub was good. The nerve damage in my feet wasn't exacerbated, which was great. The chair had leg supports for the loofah part, so I didn't have to raise my legs, either & hold them up. She cut my toenails nice & short, too, & carefully cleaned off all extra polish. I was disappointed with the manicure, though. It would be nice to find a place that doesn't cut cuticles, but at least the guy doing my nails was careful. I've been to Nails Image once before and appreciated the service I've received. This second time around definitely made me realize how much of a hidden gem this place is. Linda is my holy grail for almond/stiletto shaped nails. She is quick but not rushed, efficient but not careless, and best of all-- a perfectionist with her clients. I had a 6pm appointment and it was like every customer in the shop wanted their nails touched by her. My appointment was delayed partially because I requested a pedicure last minute (eh, which was basic but didn't disappoint) but as I was ready for my full set, another customer came in and went to her chair. Another nail tech applied my tips while Linda began the other customer's nails... I wasn't bothered too much by that... After my tips were applied, I moved to Linda's chair where the magic happened. She shaped my nails perfectly and didn't miss a beat with the gel polish. My nails are stunning and I can't imagine going anywhere else now. If Linda ever left, I'd follow her to the edge of the earth for another manicure. read more
