Food and baked goods are just awesome. Simply stated. Though I'm not a fan of the pumpkin bread or wheat veggie fish pattie, but literally everything else I've tasted was awesome. Organic eggplant pattie, Veggie chicken and veggie fish pattie (not the one in wheat flour), spare ribs, curry chicken, coconut bread so yummy in my tummy haha, pineapple cake and bread pudding, porridge and brown rice. Whoa! I'm bummed I didn't know about this place earlier, but glad I found it via search for "juice bars" in BK. I've been trying to eat healthier and drink more natural veggie/fruit juices, and this place satisfies both. Just made my second trip in a week and got the exact same thing: spinach/orange/apple juice and the curry "chicken". SO DAMN GOOD. I'm not a vegetarian but fancy vegetarian food every now again, but their curry chicken is so tasty I could eat it everyday! Will try other things on the menu soon. I went through a month-long Vegan cleanse in January 2021 and honestly I felt better than ever. I found this place while I was waiting for my daughter who had went to Morgan's Barbecue (again this was back in January 2021 when Morgan's was still opened on Flatbush). I ordered a Kale Patty and a Pumpkin Patty. As I sat in the freezing car as it poured rain I absolutely DEVOURED these. THE FLAVOR/CRUST - everything was so damn good. I went back inside and ordered 4 more of each to bring home. At home my then 12 year old son tried both. At first he was hesitant to try the pumpkin because he only knew pumpkin in pie context and he really liked it a lot. He was honestly the only one who would try all my vegan recipes with me. My 14 yr old son (who had no idea one was kale and one pumpkin) also tried and liked. AFTERWARDS I told him it was vegan and he was shocked because all he did was make fun of me during my vegan cleanse and he absolutely LOVED it. Now every time I make it to that part of Brooklyn (I live in CT) I try to stop by. In the summer I got my daughter and I smoothies from there and they were fresh and delicious. I really liked this place!!! It's very unpretentious with friendly staff and really good vegan food. My husband (who is NOT vegan) really liked the patties, the veggie lasagna and the ice cream!!! I stopped by this place on Tuesday while I was in the neighborhood visiting Botanic Garden. The prices over there are steep so I figured I would head down Washington to get something to drink. I stumbled upon this quaint little joint which an employee told me has been there fore five years. I have never seen it before and I pass all the time but i digress...I had the Pina Colada to go. Although it didn't particularly taste like a Pina Colada it was yummy and refreshing! I paid $5.50 for a small size but it was worth it. I'll start by saying that I've come here 3 times in the past 2 weeks. That's how much I love the place! It's hard to find a restaurant that serves meatless Caribbean food (with great taste) and I must say that Natural Blend has mastered the task! I first tried this place last year when I was on the hunt for a good vegetarian patty after work. I had the soy fish patty and it was delicious! I recently had lunch with a friend and her daughter 2 weeks ago, in which I tried more options from the menu: vegetable soup, fish fritter, festival & saltfish, and a soy chicken patty. A whole lot of food, but it was worth indulging in. Hearty, packed with nuff flavor, and very satisfying. Last week, my brother was visiting from upstate NY and wanted a Jamaican breakfast so I didn't waste any time in having him drive us over to Natural Blend. He was overjoyed from the moment he walked in the door: the Bob Marley tunes were playing, the sound of the blender had him hype, and the ackee & saltfish w/ breadfruit on the menu made him feel like we were at the right place at the right time! On my way home from Bedstuy yesterday, I remembered that the owner told me that there's a new location on Malcolm X Blvd. I quickly made my way over to check out the new spot and it is such a gem to the neighborhood! The sea blue paint of the structure made me so excited to be there! Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the woman behind the counter (sorry I didn't get her name) and Dion (?), the chef. They were very warm and offered suggestions from the menu. I opted for a small order of the orange pineapple chicken, which comes with brown rice and cabbage. It was so delectable! I found myself wishing I had bought the large, after eating the last pineapple chunk. Lesson learned! I will definitely be coming back with friends. The new location has a lot more space for dining in. Whichever spot you choose to visit, you won't be let down! The people of Natural Blend are as awesome as the food and drinks they serve. It was absolutely delicious, I had the curry chicken, the pepper steak and the veggie patty. Everything was so well flavored and honestly, you could barely tell it wasn't meat. Absolutely amazing!! I had the vegan chicken patty and the lo mein with bbq ribs. It was so good you couldn't even tell it was vegan! I also bought the banana bread and oatmeal raisin cookie which I have yet to try but I'm sure will be equally as great as their food. But after finally sticking my head into Natural Blend a few weeks ago, that changed, for serious. The food is yummy and there are enough specials to keep it interesting. The baked goods RULE, by and large, though I'd skip the sweet potato pudding and head straight for the Vegan Gingerbread. I have been to this place twice in two weeks. Amazing vegetarian/vegan food w/ great Caribbean spice and flavor. We tried the "spare ribs" and "curry chicken"; both are REALLY REALLY good, especially the ribs. I am not vegan/vegetarian, but I honestly love their fake meat more than real meat. It just has a nice firmness to it. Also, we love the "fish" patty. It's amazingly tasty and flavorful. Portion is big at this place. We typically can only finish half of the large plate.
