the best burgers in SF. give em a try. seating is simple but its totally worth it.

Juicy cheeseburger and kick butt fries. Enough said.

Lizzie L.

We just stepped off the plane from two weeks in Japan. Our bellies were craving a juicy cheeseburger and fries. Enough fish n rice for now. Walking into Native for the first time was welcoming. The restaurant was warm n cozy. We looked at the menu and were very pleased with the offerings and the prices. Lacie (so sweet) took our order. The burgers came and they were exactly what we wished for. The double fried French fries are a must add on. Crunnnnnnnn-chy and piping hot. Yum yum... yum yum...yum! Good to the last bite. We went to thank the cook and Jose introduced himself. Good job, man. We will be back!

Whenever I try a new burger place, I have to get their original burger as a standard, so I ordered the "All American" which is also their top seller. The patty was juicy and decently sized, the fixings (tomato, lettuce, onion) were all fresh and delicious, and the pickles, thousand island sauce, and brioche bun just brought it all together and topped it off nicely. I have to admit the bottom bun did get a little soggy at the end, but I think it was all from the juices of the patty. It's also a really good portion size for the price! For under $12 total, I couldn't finish the entire burger and I was stuffed. My friends also ordered fries and they said they were solid - nice and crispy, decent seasoning, but nothing spectacular. The place itself is easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area and the inside is fairly small (~3 tables to seat 4 people each?) but I loved the casual, no frills environment. Order at the front, sit down and self serve water, and then they bring out the food in under 10 minutes! My friends and I also stuck around just to talk for a bit after finishing our food and we never felt rushed or as if we were unwelcome to stay, which I also appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience and I'd definitely want to come back to try a different burger soon!

Even though I didn't frequent them all that often while they were still here, for quite a while, Buzz was my go-to spot for a tasty burger on this side of SF. It wasn't amazing, nor the best value (Super Duper takes that distinction), but there was so much to like - friendly staff, plenty of parking, nary a wait, and, most importantly, the burgers were just solid. So, needless to say, it was a bummer when I passed by and saw that they were gone. Too bad I took such a long time to finally come here and check out their replacement. If I hadn't, I would've discovered that even though Buzz may be gone, Native Burger really isn't all that different! While their facade and aspects of their interior have changed (gone is the bench seating, replaced in favor of three picnic tables), not much about Native is all that different from its predecessor. The menu, in particular, might look all too familiar; like Buzz's, it also not very extensive (though it does have a few more options) and some of the burgers even bear the same name, such as the Western and Sunrise. However, their dozen or so burgers, as well as their handful of sides, sausages, salad, and loco moco, are rather appealing. What's more, they have quite a few substitute options, if needed (non-Gluten bun, Lettuce Wrap, and non-beef proteins, like Beyond, Chicken, and Turkey). -- ONION RINGS...$4.25 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/native-burger-san-francisco?select=CZPIXKbjXXr5f4CIbhvxsQ) These aren't the best I've had, but after not having legit onion rings in ages, I thought these were terrific! The rings were crispy, not overly battered, and were cut fairly thick. It doesn't come with dipping sauce, but they happily gave me a side of ranch for free. -- NATIVE BURGER - 7oz Harris Ranch Grass Fed Beef, 4oz Applewood Smoked "Fool's Gold" Bacon, Sunny Farms Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, and House BBQ Sauce on a Brioche Bun...$15.75 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/native-burger-san-francisco?select=oO0R4x--7xnJogswYsQQYw) More solid than spectacular, but still quite tasty! The patty was well cooked, I LOVED the bacon's salty sweetness, and everything complemented each other really well. That being said, whether it be due to the patty, the bacon, or both, the burger, as a whole, felt a little greasy. -- JR. CLASSIC BURGER & FRIES - 4oz Harris Ranch Grass Fed Beef, Sunny Farms Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onions, Pringle Cut Dill Pickles, and House Island Sauce on a Brioche Bun with Twice Fried Fries...$11.25 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/native-burger-san-francisco?select=NVxYPDZqcLlRGXo2T0LMJg) This was...pretty awesome. Not only is the burger the perfect size, but it was done so well - juicy patty, a soft, toasted bun, and fresh veggies. As for the fries, they were far better than the garlic version. All together, this feels like a terrific value for what you get! -- GARLIC FRIES...$4.50 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/native-burger-san-francisco?select=T-z4tiVho0kC0LNNsUox6w) Meh. These fries were also very crispy, and the portion was decent, but the taste was underwhelming. Not only was it not very garlicky/lacking in garlic, but there wasn't much else to it either - no herbs, no cheese, not much seasoning. It has potential, but disappointed as is. -- LOCO MOCO - Two Range Free Eggs, 7oz Grass Fed Harris Ranch Beef, and Housemade Gravy Over Jasmine Rice...$12.25 (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/native-burger-san-francisco?select=GxkLRFJlOoRH5xs2s0-KcQ) Are they to blame for this one or am I for ordering it? Not surprisingly, the patties were the best part, as they were both juicy and flavorful. Everything else, other then the eggs, was a bust - the onions were mealy, the rice was hard, and the gravy was gloppy and broken. While most of what I've had has been more good than bad, the service here has been excellent all around. Every time I've stopped in, the same two guys have been working the register and grill and they've always been super friendly. They've happily given us ranch for the onion rings and garlic fries (much needed for the latter) and they're quick to greet people/say goodbye as folks come and go. Tasty burgers, friendly service, and a wealth of parking nearby? Super Duper's newest outpost is a short walk away, but it's great to know that Native is just as good as my former go-to spot!

The Sunrise Burger w/ cheddar, egg, avo ($12.75 + extra patty $4.50 + missing bacon $4.75) + Fried Brussels Sprouts ($6.95) + Fries ($3.75)

Always gotta be careful when you proclaim something as the "best". My only fighting words that I will kick my flip flops off for? In-N-Out. IMO, they make the best burgers in its price category. Now, if someone can sell McD fries outside, that would be a winning combo! After a nearby vet appointment, I was too lazy to drive 30 minutes to the nearest In-N-Out location. Yelp came to the rescue with Native Burger, a small, locally-owned burger joint (formerly Buzz). What sold me is that Native Burger is owned by a unicorn, an SF native so had to come and support! Unfortunately, my experience didn't align with all the raving 5 star reviews so I probably visited on an off day. And, in no way am I comparing this locally-owned business to a fast-food chain like In-N-Out. Native Burger is open for takeout, delivery, indoor dining, and outdoor dining (sidewalk and parklet). M E N U Burgers (Harris Ranch grass-fed beef patties), Sausages, Loco Moco, Salads, and Sides (fries, brussel sprouts, onion rings, etc). You can sub for a Beyond burger patty and GF bread for a surcharge. Chicken and turkey also available. Bottled drinks and beer on tap available. For the city, wallet-friendly pricing with burgers starting at $9.95. F O O D * All American Burger w/ 7 oz Harris ranch grass fed beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onions, pringle cut dill pickles, house Island sauce, brioche bun ($9.95): https://tinyurl.com/3hu6syec ***Requested rare. While the burger looked good with a nice seared patty, the patty (medium rare) and bun (barely toasted) were dry. After taking several bites, I lifted up the bun to find that the house island sauce was missing. I went inside and they gave me a side of the sauce which helped give the burger some moisture but TBH, it was still pretty underwhelming. * The Sunrise Burger w/ 7 oz Harris ranch grass fed beef patty, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, free-range egg, avocado, sweet chili sauce, brioche bun ($12.75): https://tinyurl.com/2ywsunx6 ***Requested rare. ***Add extra patty (+$4.50) ***Add fool's gold bacon (+$4.75). Missing. Not my burger. Friend said, it was "fine" but we later realized that the added bacon was missing. =( * Unseasoned Beef Patty aka Pup Patty: ($4.50): https://tinyurl.com/bxxv3was Post vet visit treat! Thank you for making an unseasoned beef patty upon request! * Fried Brussel Sprouts ($6.95) To be little healthier, I ordered the brussel sprouts as a side. It was soggy and too sweet. * Fries ($3.95) Fav item! Hot, golden, and crunchy. S E R V I C E Very kind staff. Our order was brought outside to us in about 15 minutes. A M B I A N C E Casual neighborhood burger joint with an open kitchen with counter seating and picnic tables in the back. Yay for dog-friendly outdoor seating. Just bring a warm coat since there's no heat lamps. P A R K I N G Easier street and residential parking than deep into Inner Richmond. Found a space right away during primetime dinner time on a weekday. Overall, my burger and side didn't hit for me but it was probably an off day. If I'm in the area again, I would be down to give Native Burger another try in hopes to have a better experience next time!

These are some really good burgers. Good size, and great taste. The only thing I would change is add more bacon but I can't blame them. Bacon isn't cheap and most places give you the same amount but the bacon here is a bit more thick than anywhere else

Samantha C.

Finally got to try our local neighborhood burger spot! They are currently doing indoor dining and some outdoor dining! I got the junior combo, which included a junior classic burger and fries! The burger was tasty and well cooked. Their fries are double fried, so good. I will definitely be back to try their other burgers!

I am not a burger person and this is definitely my favorite burger place in the city! The staff here is nice, the service is great and their burgers are fire!!! I also love their Jalapeño poppers and onion rings the most. They also have great vegetarian options, my favorite burger to order is actually their Beyond Burger because its tasty and doesn't leave you feeling too heavy after! They also serve some bottle beers here, and wine!

Nice little hole in the wall place. I had the Sunrise burger. Very good, big juicy patty, egg, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato and the Bun was toasted. It was a multi-napkin burger. Double fried fries were good. Staff was excellent. Definitely going to keep this on my list when I come to San Francisco. read more

Solid Four star burger establishment. They are consistently serving good burgers and are a welcomed establishment in the Richmond district which is hurting with good restaurants. I don't think it's the best burger I've ever tasted in my life. The patties are frozen as well as the fries so the quality is so so, but as I mentioned it's predictable, reliable and decent. read more

Found this spot thanks to Yelp. We ordered from the menu and saw they had jalapeño poppers. We asked if they were made with cream cheese or cheddar cheese. He said he thinks they're made with goat cheese. That sparked our interest so we asked if he happened to have any samples and he pulled out 2 and made them fresh for us! That was awesome! The burger was juicy and tasty. Definitely a good place to stop for lunch. read more

The Native burger was good; the fries too. Over the last 13 years in this neighborhood, I've seen 4 businesses fail out of this space. Buzz burgers was the last. Their burgers were good too. But, with Buzz, the staff sometimes would act as though you were bothering them when you showed up and you'd get some arrogant rolling of their eyes at times too. Needless to say, treating customers like idiots isn't good business. I believe it was that way due to owner neglect. Let's face it, a hired manager in a small mom and pop shop, doesn't always care about the business or the fate of the owner and their family. But now with Native Burger, the staff actually greets you with a smile and and the owner was right there and seems genuinely interested in connecting with people through his craft of burgermeistering. This always makes a good burger great. This is why, I'm calling them now to order one to go. Long live Native Burger! -Steve G., SF Native read more

I was a regular at Buzz, the predecessor restaurant, and was totally bummed when it closed down in August. But native burger is definitely a newer and far improved. Very neighborhoody vibe. Menu is similar to that of buzz, but with more side options and apparently they have a secret menu as well. Can't beat the 7oz of grass fed Harris ranch beef patties they use ... never too greasy or fatty, and always satisfying. My go to is the Classic burger, with no salt on the patty as to avoid feeling bloated afterwards. read more

It was amazing!! I would've taken a photo, but I ate my burger too quickly! I went with my family and we definitely pigged out. I got a "sunrise" burger, which I loved. The yolk was very runny, but the taste made up for it by 200%. It was just amazing. We also got a chicken breast burger with bacon, which was big but finished because of its deliciousness. We got a "bratwurst" burger, which like all of the other burgers, was finished quickly!! Quick service, no wait for tables, and a comfortable eating environment! Definitely recommend this for families and burger lovers!! read more

My homegirl Ivy found this place in search of a lunch spot. So darn glad she found this gem. We ordered the deep fried Brussels sprouts, jalapeño poppers, and the twice fried fries. The Brussels sprouts were probably the best thing on the menu I've tried so far. It gets 10/10 in my opinion. The other two appetizers were pretty good too. It'd be dope if the jalapeño inside was diced up and mixed in with the cream cheese. I ordered the sunrise burger (medium rare of course!) that came with an egg AND avocado. They didn't charge me extra like Chipotle. All I'm saying is: If you're craving a good burger with bomb ass appetizers, Native Burger should be a go-to spot! read more

Native burger didn't do it for me. Taking into consideration the cashier seemed new and the staff very friendly I repeated my take out order five times (even the chef repeated it before handing me my food) and they still got it wrong. Nothing worse then getting home to find you didn't get what you ordered. Also, my burger was a bit undercooked which was a bummer. My friend and I ate here on Sunday night. It's small and cute, little hidden gem. I ordered the sunrise, burger patty on the side for my pups. My friend ordered the turkey burger and we shared onion rings. The sandwiches were messy and delicious, we loved them. The onion rings were battered in house and delicious. Somehow they got my order wrong and kid behind the counter wasn't helpful and tried to get me to order something I didn't want (Cesar salads (eww)) and the mock loco wasn't available. Everyone else and the owner were super nice. The owner was sitting with customers at the next table and seemed to be the nicest. Sometimes experiences aren't perfect but I wouldn't knock them and recommend the food. In case you were wondering my pups loved the meat patty - so thumbs up and paws up read more

From the Business

Specialties

Native Burger is a small local burger joint started by an SF native who is passionate about delivering quality products to our local community. We deliver 7 ounces of certified angus beef (grass fed) from Harris Ranch on all our burgers and have non beef options such as grilled chicken, turkey, and our wonderful 100% plant based "Beyond Burger". We also carry an assortment of sausages such as Applewood Smoked Chicken, Bratwurst, Kielbasa, and a traditional Hot Link. Our goal is to deliver a consistently solid experience for our guests and though we may slip up every once in a while, we want to serve others with humility and thankfulness. We are not the cheapest priced burgers in the city but we give what we believe is the best quality/portion for the price we charge.

History

Established in 2017.

Previously established as "Buzz Burger", the owners of Buzz decided to divest the business to focus on their other commitments and since we were customers of the business, we believed we could continue, if not elevate, on what great food was being produced out of this spot. Having tested burgers from all over the city, we wanted to create a set of burgers that was not overly hyped but would be known as a "solid" burger joint. We believe we have achieved this with our current menu. The new ownership decided to call their business "Native Burger" as Collin is himself a native of San Francisco.

Meet the Business Owner: Collin L.

Native San Franciscan who loves good food without the hype. Passionate about serving people quality products at a reasonable price.

We ordered the cheeseboiga (I said cheese burger when I ordered it and they corrected me haha), Fish Dac Biet, and Beef Tallow Shoestring Fries. The cheeseboiga is tasty and a good replacement for shake shack since the location in downtown closed. The buns were fluffy and the patty was smashed real thin. The Fish Dac Biet I prefered over the smash burger. The fish was fried nicely and is huge! You can't really see how big it was in the special menu but it was massive, a long filet. It had really good vietnamese flavors with the pho aioli and it went well with the jalapenos, cilantro, Thai basil, and alfalfa sprouts. The jalapeños were all lumped in the middle of the sandwhich though, it was a crazy bite. Only thing is that this takes a while to be made. I was originally quoted a 10 minute wait time but it ended up taking a little over 20 minutes for my food to be ready. The star of the show is the Beef Tallow Shoestring Fries! It came out nice and hot and crispy. The beef tallow enhances the fries flavors tremendously and this is how fries should taste. Wish I had ordered a beer at the bar because this would go great with a drink. Overall great casual place to eat in the area.

Delightful Dining Experience at Native Burger" I recently had the pleasure of dining at Native Burger, and it's safe to say that my taste buds were in for a treat. The standout dish for me was the "Sunrise Burger" - a culinary masterpiece that blended flavors in perfect harmony. The succulent patty paired with fresh toppings created a delightful explosion of taste with every bite. For those looking to explore plant-based options, the "Beyond Burger" is a must-try. The incredible resemblance to a traditional beef burger is uncanny, and the taste is equally satisfying. It's a testament to the chef's skill in crafting a dish that caters to various dietary preferences without compromising on flavor. The service at Native Burger deserves a special mention. The staff is friendly, attentive, and adds to the overall welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I felt well taken care of. In conclusion, Native Burger offers a fantastic dining experience with standout dishes that cater to both meat lovers and those embracing a plant-based lifestyle. The combination of delectable food and excellent service makes it a must-visit for burger enthusiasts. https://providersdm.com/ read more

I recently discovered this burger joint and it's a rugged, no frills but still charming place! During my visit, we ordered a Southwestern burger, a veggie burger (Beyond Burger), fries, Brussels sprouts, and enjoyed a couple of IPA beers (21st Amendment). The food was really fantastic, and the best part is that we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive. This place has quickly become my new favorite burger place in the area. In fact, I've been here several times since it's conveniently located in the neighborhood where a friend of mine lives. The quality of the burger patties is top notch, the buns are great, and I can't get enough of their brussel sprouts - they are amazing. The fries are also on point. What adds to the appeal of this place is the fast and friendly service. It's a real gem to have in the area, especially since it can be difficult to find burgers this good in the Richmond area. In summary, this burger joint won me over with its great food, friendly service, and convenient location. It has become my new favorite place for hearty burgers in the area and I look forward to my next visit. read more

It's always a good time trying out a new burger joint and thankfully, this one did not disappoint! This place is a lowkey spot in the Richmond district and parking is pretty easy to find since there are lots of neighborhoods around and Geary is a pretty large street. Their menu was clean, simple, and easy to choose from. There are only 6 or so burgers to choose from and they all looked super good. I went with the western burger and some twice fried fries. Service was fast and the server was very nice to us. It took maybe 5 minutes before all of our food came out. The burger was big, juicy, and came loaded with all the toppings I could want. It was a pretty good value too as I was stuffed after eating it. The burger also held together really well as everything didn't just spill out the other side after taking a bite. The fries were also good! They were crispy, but still fluffy on the inside and were portioned appropriately for the size of the burger. The restaurant itself is clean and well lit. read more

Simply wow. This is the best kept secret in SF as far as burger spots go. Little hole in the wall burger place that serves some of the best quality food for the price I have seen since coming back to SF. I had the Native Burger which is a 7 ounce grass fed beef with lettuce, tomatoes, fool's gold bacon jam and bbq sauce. That beef was so juicy and perfectly made. They threw in a few onion rings onto the burger that added a nice crunch. I also had the suggested brussel sprouts which was sooo good. I really like their style in offering high quality stuff without the usual SF restaurant scene hype. I think the owner was there that I talked to and he seemed very down to earth and really cared about giving people more quality and less hype. This isn't a cheap place but for the quality I got, I haven't seen a better deal. I've paid the same price for much less in this town. read more

I completely agree; this place tends to fly under the radar, easily missed by passersby. I initially went to the neighboring Mexican restaurant without realizing there was this fantastic burger joint nearby. Intrigued, I decided to give it a shot three days ago, and to my delight, it exceeded my expectations. The menu is straightforward with enough choices for most people, featuring fair prices. A concise, focused menu featuring burgers and a couple of sausages. The burger patty was flawlessly seared, showcasing a meaty, juicy, and tender quality. The brioche-type bun held together well, although some might find it slightly dry and thick--I had a differing opinion from my dining partner. The corn appetizer was notably good, and while the fries didn't appear freshly cut, their battered crispness was quite satisfying. The beer selection on tap is somewhat limited, with the IPA being decent for its kind. Personally, I would have preferred Anchor Steam, but I'm an OG. read more

I ordered an 8oz cheeseburger and a side of onion rings to share with my husband. He ordered the bacon avocado cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake. They have a condiment bar where you can dress your burger with all the toppings you want. We found a table to sit at while we waited for our food. It's small and cozy in there with only a few tables. But everything was kept tidy and very clean. Our burgers were ready so fast. I added tomatoes, pickles, mustard, and ketchup. My husband put lettuce, tomatoes, and jalapeños. The burgers were huge and grilled to our specifications. They were so good. The toppings were fresh, and the burger was so juicy and flavorful. My husband also loved his burger. You really can't beat the price and quality of this burger. The onion rings were so delicious and crispy. They were perfectly seasoned. My husband loved his chocolate milkshake. It wasn't overly sweet, which he really liked. We will definitely be returning for another great meal the next time we are visiting San Francisco.

This cozy little spot on 9th Avenue may only seat about 16 to 20 people but it delivers big on quality. The charbroiled burgers are fresh, juicy and flavorful with your choice of regular beef or top sirloin in different sizes. I loved the build-your-own setup because after they grill your burger and melt your choice of cheese, cheddar, pepper jack, Swiss or American you head to a fully loaded condiment bar with fresh veggies and sauces to make it exactly how you like it. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned and my huge 8-ounce burger with toppings plus a small order of fries came to about $15, which is a great value. If you want a real, old-school burger made with quality ingredients,,, Jenny's Burgers is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in San Francisco. Highly recommended

This restaurant has both table seats and also booth seats and the staff let us choose where we wanted to sit (probably since the restaurant was empty at that time). Anyways, we ordered a Turkey sandwich with Fries, The Famous Bill's Hamburger w/ Potato Salad, and a Rocky Road Milkshake. Everything tasted good, but we do wish the portion size of the burger was a bit larger than the side item. We did like how juicy the burger was though and I loved how large the milkshake here is and how unique the flavor seemed! The turkey sandwich here didn't have anything special about it, but still tasted good enough. I'd recommend this place! We loved everything we got from the restaurant that day, but our favorite was the milkshake because of the size. Next time, I want to try their other burgers and more of their milkshakes and desserts.

When it arrived, the patty itself was cooked exactly how I wanted it, nice and juicy with that perfect rare center. However, I noticed after taking a bite that the sandwich was missing the veggies I had expected. It only had the grilled onions, so it felt like something was lacking in terms of texture and balance. I didn't end up mentioning it to the staff since I wasn't very hungry to begin with, and I had already started eating. I actually didn't even finish the second half. That said, I did enjoy the coleslaw--it stood out because it wasn't the typical version you usually get, which was a nice surprise. Overall, while the quality of the patty itself was great, the missing ingredients made the experience feel a bit incomplete.

Sourdough sam - I kid you not. I will be thinking about this sandwich the entire week. Firstly, the english muffin is in no way like any english muffin I've had before. The bread is like a cross between a biscuit and a sourdough slice. It's flaky, with such a unique crunchy texture. The eggs are perfectly scrambled and the sausage is a bit greasy but absolutely juicy and full of delicious porky flavor. The sriracha aioli is so creamy and enhances all the flavors. Torta-ly insane - The pulled pork is delicious and tender. The avocado and peppers adds extra texture and punches of spice but the sandwich itself is on the milder side. I think its missing some kind of sauce- perhaps like a cilantro sauce to elevate it and take it to the next level. Above & Beyond- this was a much lighter version of the Sourdough Sam with gruyere cheese and mushrooms. The whole sandwich felt very easy to eat, not too greasy, and well balanced. Ordering online is easy and can pay ahead. The time estimate was accurate during our visit. Theres quite a bit of outdoor seating some shaded, some not shaded. They have retro video games and theres just a lot to look at and take in with the decor. Ham & Cheese makes some impressive breakfast sandwiches. The homemade english muffin was absolutely mindblowing and I would come back again just for that.

Metro Caffe has two fake meat options for their sandwiches, either a Boca or a garden burger patty that's chopped up and grilled with cheese and onions! There's a few extra options to add as toppings: extra cheese, extra meat, peppers, avocado, mushrooms, etc. as well as burgers, hot dogs and a good range of sides. I decided to try the Boca burger cheesesteak sandwich while my partner got the turkey. The first thing we noticed was how amazingly soft the bread was, a big difference compared to other cheesesteak restaurants. The sandwiches also aren't huge and overfilled.... which surprisingly is what we prefer! We were able to eat everything and didn't feel like we had taken a bomb to our stomachs, which usually happens after a big cheese filled sandwich. On top of that, the sandwiches were delicious. The grilled onions were good and the cheese melted well and got into all the bits of the sandwich and meat fillings. Our food came out piping hot but not so bad that we had to wait too long before we could eat. The shop is small but there's indoor and outdoor seating and it's close to a few parks and bars that will let you bring in food. Service was quick and the workers were nice and friendly. Definitely a great replacement for the cheesesteak shops we've been losing lately, we're definitely returning!

Ruined Daughter's Birthday and Extremely Unprofessional Customer Service…read more I ordered corn dogs from Metro Cafe for my daughter's 7th birthday party, and unfortunately, more than half of my order arrived burnt. Multiple guests agreed they were overcooked, but when I reached out to the owner, Omar, he dismissed my concerns because he didn't believe they were burnt. (see photo below) Rather than trying to resolve the issue, Omar resorted to personal insults, accusing me of lying and using AI, being an entitled millennial (I'm 46 years old), and calling me cheap for requesting a bulk-order discount. At $4 per corn dog, the price was hardly cheap, while many restaurants offer a catering menu with discounts. What upset me most wasn't the money or even the burnt food, but Omar's complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and remorse for negatively impacting my daughter's birthday celebration, where she specifically asked for her favorite food, a corn dog I have tremendous respect for small businesses, especially since my own brothers own restaurants and businesses. I understand mistakes happen, but how an owner handles those mistakes speaks volumes about their character and business ethics. I would not recommend Metro Cafe, especially for important celebrations. The quality of their food and customer service is extremely poor.
