    Garlic Parmesan chicken wings

I've tried chicken wings in many places, Wingstop, and pluckers are the number one wing places for me. But Nancy's steakhouse is a game changer. I put them at the top of my list now. Above Wingstop and pluckers. Some people may be surprise for me saying this. But I advise you to give them a try and see for yourself.

Ordered the chopped steak with a salad for $12.99 as a lunch special. The staff seemed not very friendly or happy to be at work. The salad bar was pushed against a wall making it hard to reach items at the back. The salad bar had a good variety and I like that they had pineapple as an option. Cool rustic cowboy decor inside. Metal utensils, ceramic plates and paper napkins. Chopped steak had brown gravy and grilled onions and mushrooms on too and was quite good. Portion size was good. I would come back again

I want to start by first saying the salad bar is top notch. I would come here just for the salad bar. Everything was cool, crisp, fresh and they keep it very clean! The main meals were average. The food was acceptable but not great or something I would come back for because it was "sooo good". I ordered the Filet Kabob medium with a side of fried shrimp and baked potato. The filet was cooked medium well/well done and was dry. To the point I needed steak sauce. The grilled veggies were delicious! Other item ordered was the chopped steak. The mister said it was also acceptable. The mushroom gravy lacked seasoning and depth but was edible. The actual patty was also bland. He added ketchup to make it better. The servers were attentive, the food came out quickly and the restaurant was clean. So to wrap up, the food filled the hunger cavity and while not horrible, it was average.

For her dinner she chose Blake's Kitchen & Kocktailz spot to bring us all together for a nice late dinner on a Friday night. Parking was super easy and plenty of spots. At night the lot is a little dark so keep that in mind when you are here during night time hours. I had family and company so I felt safe walking with them in and out of the lot. Inside is large and surprisingly they got the space to hold a large party like ours where we had ten (10) people to join in on the celebration. The staff and team were cool enough to allow us to bring in our own birthday cake, utensils, and small plate for the occasion. Menu is large and there really is something for even the pickiest eaters. Our whole party all got things from the menu that ranged from hamburgers, smaller sized country fried steak, and even some mocktails that were not on the menu for the birthday girl. Service was fast and prompt through (almost) the entire night until our servers changed and no one told us. It was fine service changed we just wanted to know and make sure our server, Lily, got the tip we left behind for her taking care of us. Food was good and call came out at the same time which was just OK for me on my hamburger steak but I understand - we are a group of 10! Everything from appetizers to our mains were delicious otherwise.

It's built inside a historic garage, and you can still see the brewing equipment from the taproom, which gives the place a cool industrial feel. Plenty of indoor seating, a nice patio, and it just feels like somewhere you could hang out for a few hours. I ordered the SMASH Burger and made it a double. That was my mistake. The burger itself was excellent, hot, fresh, juicy, and cooked just right, but my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. The single would have been the perfect size for me. No complaints about the food at all. The beer was delicious too. They had a wide variety of lagers, IPAs, sours, and even a barrel-aged stout, so there was something for just about everyone. I appreciate breweries that don't make everything an IPA. Overall, I was really impressed. What started as an unplanned stop because of a billboard turned into one of the highlights of the drive. If you're passing through Columbus, Hound Song is absolutely worth pulling off the highway for.

I usually call in our order when we are about 20 minutes away from our stop. Everytime I call in the order the person on the other end is friendly and repeats back what we order. The convenient store part of Hruska's has a lot of items that you can choose from to purchase and they have clean bathrooms which is a positive. When we get there we park, walk in and head to pick up our food at the counter. It's usually labeled with the ticket stapled to the bag. We then get in line to pay for our food. The line is usually backed up but moves fairly quickly. There is also a small area with tables and chairs that you can sit at and enjoy your meal or sit there if you need a rest. For my meal I usually order a Hamburger which comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. I usually get mine with mustard. Their burgers are so good and a good size. Overall Hruska's is a great stopping place while traveling. Whether it's for gas, a bathroom break, or if you want to grab something to eat this is a one stop shop place.

Arguably one of the greatest foods ever invented. Atleast in my world. How can you go wrong with bread filled with sweet or savory fillings? Hruska's is about halfway between Houston and Austin and a perfect rest stop to fill up on gas, use the clean facilities, grab a snack or indulge in their amazing baked goods. They are steeped in history and have been around for decades passing along the family recipes. It's obviously improved structurally over the years from a country store and looks like a modern gas station now. It's always pretty busy every time I have stopped in, but they are a well oiled machine and keep the masses moving with excellent customer service. They have all your gas station essentials like snacks and beverages. What sets them apart is their bakery. Here, they label their kolaches as the traditional fruit filled variety. I like them, but they are never my first choice. I love the ones with meat inside. Here, they label these as pigs in a blanket. They have a large variety of both. I usually go for a regular sausage and cheese, but over here, they sell a delicious pan sausage kind. On top of all their sweet and savory baked goods, they also sell burgers on the grill. Their burgers have made it to the Texas Monthly Top 50 burger spots. I have yet to try it. Overall, this is an always stop place for me. I highly recommend stopping here to stretch your legs and enjoy a delicious pastry while you're at it. I will definitely be back.
