I came and got their half salad half sandwich meal deal and once I got it I realized there may be pesto on the chicken in my sandwich. I'm deathly allergic to nuts and it was a bonehead move on my part to not read that the chicken had pesto on it when I ordered the sandwich! Well when I asked them and the pesto does indeed have nuts, I thanked them and went to leave. But they insisted on replacing it at no cost and even brought me out a whole salad rather than a half and added a protein to it! Do not use your debit card at this business! I purchased $10 in merchandise & I "had suspicion" the way clerk did the card. Had to ask for receipt she was not going to give me one. When bank statement was reviewed couple of weeks later I was charged $23. Three calls to manager she said would give me gift card for $13 advised I wanted refund. Several weeks have gone by with promises to send refund guess what? No refund has been received next complaint with better business bureau read more

This bakery added 20lbs to my daily life! No joke. I don't know if you can get a better sandwich anywhere (chicken gorgonzola) , the chocolate chip cookies are amazing, the breakfast pockets are perfect. Croissants (I know the secret), cinnamon rolls, pies, cakes, the bread pudding with bourbon sauce and if you get lucky the pizza are all AMAZING. I live up the street from here and never knew about Nancy P's. It was my husbands birthday and he requested cherry pie. I reached out to a few friends for a good pie referral. Turns out Nancy Ps is the place. I'm an Apple pie girl, so we got one of each. HOLY COW. I just had the Apple pie, but the rumors around the party were that the cherry was delicious. The Apple pie was the best Apple pie I have ever had in my life. My life. You know, scratch that, Im going with best pie (in general) that I've ever had. A friend asked for a bite of my pie and after she bit in, she covered her mouth and squealed profanities. Good profanities. Paraphrasing here "holy cow that's the best stinking pie I've ever had." Their marion berry scones are delicious. Moist and covered with an icing glaze. The pumpkin scone was a disappointment because it was dry and the pumpkin flavor was too subtle to taste. Feeling very frustrated and disappointed. I'm new to the area, so this was my first experience with Nancy P's. I special ordered a dessert and the young woman that took the order was quite scattered. She wasn't sure what day of the week it was and whether or not she could take the order (I was calling more than 48 hours in advance). The dessert was for a company dinner and one of the guests has several allergies, so I asked about the ingredients, thinking that in this day and age, they'd have a list of ingredients for each product. She was clueless, asked someone and came back saying the crust has "some kind of nut" in it. I finally got to talk to the baker (not very efficient on their end; there shouldn't be a need to interrupt the baker). The ingredient list was acceptable, so I placed the order. I ordered on a Tuesday for a Thursday afternoon pick up, but got a call on Wednesday that my order was ready for pick up, and they wondered where I was. I wasn't really surprised given the confusion on the part of the young woman that had taken my order. On top of all this, I tried to call to explain the situation (by the time I had gotten their message they were closed), and they didn't have voicemail! Unbelievable! Unfortunately, I'm pretty certain that when I go to pick up the dessert tomorrow, I'll get the "day old" dessert. Not what I want for a company dinner! There menu looks fantastic, but not sure I'll be back given this experience. read more

We got a piece of frittata - delicious! - a few of the egg and ham pockets - so good and softer than they look in the case, a cinnamon roll - life changing, and a maple and brown sugar scone - yessss! Great bakery. On several recent visits we had Apple Gallette, cinnamon rolls, scones, pizza, and a cold sandwich. All were excellent. Especially the Gallette. Great coffee also. Expensive but if you are going to rack up the calories -- make them the best. Staff are uniformly welcoming. read more

Normally I come into Nancy P's early in the morning and one of the younger gals helps me, always professional and very friendly. Recently however, I have been going in the afternoon when the owner is there, and I have had a different experience. The first time I went in when she was working, she was the only one up front so there was a line which was fine, I was in no rush. However, I was taken aback when she proceeded to answer her cell phone WHILE HANDLING FOOD. I'm truly not a picky person but when it comes to touching cell phones and then handling food with no washing in-between is just gross and very unprofessional. Luckily, I ordered a sandwich to go so her hands had no direct contact with my food that day. Sandwich was okay, but the bread tasted like it had been made days prior. As I said, I've been to Nancy's before and always had a great experience with the other girls, so I figured maybe this was a fluke and I went back again the next week. This time the owner was there again and when I walked in, I didn't see anyone, so I waited a couple of minutes and then walked up to the register and as I approached, I could see the owner standing in the back on her phone once again. She looked at me and said, "I'll be right with you," and continued to text. After she finished texting, she came up to help me and wasn't very friendly and seemed like she didn't care if I bought something or not. Needless to say, my experiences with the owner have not been good at all but she does have some great girls working for her that keep the customers coming in. I will continue to support the young ladies that work there but I will be doing my best to avoid the owner herself. read more

This was right down the street from where my boyfriends family and I stayed while in Bend. I ordered the peach & blueberry scone which was mostly just blueberry so was a little disappointed about that. My boyfriends mom got the Marion Berry muffin and felt hers was lacking in fruit content as well.The atmosphere and staff were excellent. First time visiting Nancy P's. Everything in the case looked so absolutely scrumptious. Only let down was the pumpkin pie we picked up for Christmas. It looked and smelled good but the pumpkin wasn't set or done and the pie crust was doughy......was not baked properly at all. I've been a fan of Nancy P's for 9 years - mainly breakfast items such as quiche and pastries - meeting girlfriends there on a regular basis. Truthfully, since the new ownership it's been somewhat disappointing, especially today when I met a friend for lunch instead of breakfast:( The Chicken Gorgonzola sandwich was mostly bread and gorgonzola with wilted red leaf lettuce. Choices of bread are only ciabatta, which will cut your gums and overpowers the sandwich, or another type of white bread. So this wasn't the best coffee and it wasn't the worst. It wasn't the world's best pastries and it wasn't the worst. They didn't overcharge for anything, and there was fast service and plenty of seats when we were there to inspect the totally funky artwork. Personally, I think they do a much better job of pastries and food items than of coffee, but I acknowledge I'm an elitist coffee snob that can't look a Mr. coffee in the filter.
