This place had been on my list of Bend area shops that really cares about espresso, not just sugar bombs. It did not disappoint. I dropped in on a fairly busy Saturday morning, and awaited my turn in line. Upon getting to the counter, I was pleased to see there were two offering, their Ridgeline blend, and a single origin. As I always do, I selected a doppio of each with a sparkling water chaser The cups were both very good. The blend was smooth, with more of an expected chocolate and nutty overtone, and the single origin (Ethiopia, I believe) was definitely more of a lighter, fruitier offering with higher acidity and a little less body, but making up for it with that fruity punch. The cafe itself was definitely kind of loud, being of the industrial, open design and a lot of customers, but it's a big enough space to be airy and didn't feel closed in. The roastery is in an adjacent room, and I got to watch them bagging some coffee as I drank mine. It was a good visit, definitely worth it if you're into espresso. read more

This place is just wonderful. Not only is the location gorgeous, but the staff is incredible and the product is wonderful. This is my new favorite coffee shop when I'm in the area. Actually enjoyed this place so much that I went twice, one time on a Wednesday morning, and another time on a Thursday afternoon. Their nitro cold brew is wonderful. The cold brew is strong and has a beautiful flavor that is only enhanced by the nitro. The cardamom muffin was one of my favorite pastries that I ate from this place. Definitely ask for it toasted, because it really does bring out the flavor of the cardamom and put some crispy edges on the muffin. The cappuccino was all very good. You could tell these guys actually care about their coffee. Again, just a great location with a great product, with a great staff. I look forward to visiting here again. read more

Thump is my go to coffee shop whenever I'm in Bend. I always grab a bag of beans on my trips up to Central Oregon. If you grab a bag of coffee, they'll include a mug of coffee on the house which is a nice touch. I got there early and parked my bike on the rack right outside, and managed to beat the line that quickly formed for the morning rush. The cashier was friendly and the inside was cozy. I'm always a huge fan of Thump's roasts. read more

Well, I've been to the one in old town, great coffee, service and yummy treats. This location is nice inside but on the noisy side. My mocha was delicious, I ordered it with almond milk as I'm lactose intolerant. The Barista called out mocha with almond milk. As I picked it up I looked her in the eye and asked mocha with almond milk? Just to make sure I was getting the right one. She said yes right to me . It was yummy until 4 hours later when I realized that it wasn't almond milk but regular milk. No wonder it tasted so rich and yummy. So disappointed, never have a problem with thump in old town. Maybe she was having a bad day, or ran out of almond milk. Luckily it won't kill me just really uncomfortable for awhile, so disappointed to have been lied too. read more

Thump is hands down THE BEST coffee and breakfast place in Bend. I've tried a lot of other places and have always been disappointed. The Thump bakery location, in particular, has such a nice ambience. I could sit on the patio for hours with the beautiful view. I definitely recommend the cortado, their specialty drip coffee, cold brew, or an iced caramel latte for coffee. As for food, I don't think you could go wrong. After a recommendation from a friend the night before, I had the pleasure of visiting Thump Coffee Cafe & Bakery when I was in Bend a few days ago. I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The toasted Everything Bagel (w/cream cheese) I had was delicious, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making for a delightful breakfast treat. Paired with an outstanding oat milk latte, I was in flavor heaven. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by their staff. Though busy, they helped ensure my first visit was enjoyable. The comfortable seating and ample parking further added to the overall positive experience. Though I won't be able to get back in until my next Bend visit, I look forward to returning to Thump. read more

The place is nice, the pastries look good. I just ordered a 12 oz coffee and chose their dark roast. It's a bit sour for me. They also didn't have cream for my coffee, only half and half. If you are wanting a latte or other specialty drink then this is probably great. For black coffee, I wouldn't suggest it. read more

I could go on all day about the Thump story and BG but if you're a real Yelper, trust me this is a great place to hang out and enjoy Bend. The owner just seems to have "the touch" with what people like. The coffee, well I know I am not worthy to comment but it is incredible and BG knows his beans and is an expert in roasting. The baristas do work their magic and serve a perfect straight up traditional cappuccino. The food is fantastic as well, the avocado toast is crazy good as is everything on the menu. Excellent indoor and lots of outdoor seating also a good work area for laptops or meetings. Very disappointed with the entire experience here. The line took 30 minutes to get through just to order, and while I understand it was busy, it was not busy enough for it to take that long. Our order then took 30 minutes to prepare, for two breakfast sandwiches, a scone and one coffee. Normally this wouldn't be enough for me to leave a bad review, but the final straw came when our food was sitting at the counter for 10 minutes, and none of the staff called our name. We went up to check, and the staff were all just sitting around chatting. We asked if the order sitting there was ours they said "I don't know what's your name?" We told them the name for our order, they dug up the ticket (which wasn't on the order) and said it was ours. The food was cold by the time we were able to eat it. The food may be good, but I honestly can't tell because it was cold. Overall a negative experience and not worth it. read more

Our Meetup group stayed in Bend this past weekend to go snowshoeing ash's skiing. A friend remembered this place from four years ago and we found it again! Just ten minutes from our Airbnb! The coffee and pastries are really good here! There's a nice view of the mountains in the distance and a school friend right over the fence. Decided to stop by here on a snowy day. The location is beautiful and there's something very welcoming about here. They keep the fire pit on outside. We're not coffee snobs, so all we can say is that the coffee tasted like it was made from high quality ingredients. The mocha was flavorful, while not being too sweet. The London Fog is great too. The tea to steamed milk ratio was perfect. If you're in Bend, this is a great place to stop by for drinks! read more

Fantastic!!!!!!!! I've tried a ton of coffee shops and this is the only place I would say a $7 coffee is MORE than worth the splurge. The coffee is so smooth and their mocha has the best rich chocolate flavor. The pastries are insanely delicious, the best I've had in Bend - highly recommend the chocolate almond and regular croissants. Day after Christmas had a line out the door but service was perfectly timely. And beautiful view of the mountains from the outside and inside. Truly a spectacular place! read more
