Nancy P's is one of those cute local spots that instantly pulls you in--you walk in and suddenly want everything on the menu. I went in planning to grab something simple and ended up having a hard time not ordering half the offerings. We picked up Cobb salads to take to a friend's house, and they did not disappoint. Fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned--exactly what you hope for when you're bringing something to share. You can tell there's real care put into the ingredients and preparation. Prices are comparable to other local spots, but the quality and charm definitely give it an edge. Only docking a star because the people helping me were clearly not happy to be there. I get it, customer service jobs can suck but the energy was just so low! Nancy peas is one of my favorite pastry cookies and candy bakery in the Bend Oregon area. She also makes an array of breakfast and lunch food, including the some of the best quiche I've ever had. She's been in this location for quite a few years and I've always had a very warm welcome by her and her employees location is very homey feeling and kind of feels like you're in your grandma's kitchen wired enjoying your breakfast or lunch. I would definitely recommend going to this bakery while you're visiting Bend. read more

Stopped by here to get a chai latte and some marionberry anything! They didn't have any pie so I settled on the cobbler bar and scone. I ended up heating the bar last night and eating it was some marionberry ice cream and my god it was divine. The crust is a graham/oat base that's thick and really good. Crumble was also so delicious. I'm having the scone now a day later and it's still so soft and fluffy after a quick warm in the microwave. The chai latte was also very good. Not too spicy or sweet. I appreciated I could get my drink and treats at one spot and both were very good. Highly recommend if in town looking for a good treat! read more

Worst an most expensive bagel I've had in all my life. I ordered it to-go, not sliced or toasted or with a spread and it was almost $5 The consistency was doughy and not well baked or prepared, too salty, and not really a bagel at all but a bad roll. read more

Really wanted a baked goodie when we were in town for the day and saw the good reviews for Nancy P's. Kind of has an older home vibe to it, saw they have a nice outdoor seating area too. At around 1 in the afternoon they still had lots of options for sweets or savories. I opted for the chocolate - I think it was called a brownie puddle? Well that's a very apt description of what it was, and they did pop it in the microwave briefly before handing it to me just to give it a little warmth. Also ordered a chai tea. Yum! Very decadent that puddle was. It was probably a bit big for me to have had on my own but I have no regrets! It hit the spot, brownie crispness with melted chocolately gooeyness. Perfect. read more

The food choices are varied and very decent portions for price paid. We sat outside as it was a nice day. Very casual, low-key place to dine. The only drawback was that one of the staff members was rather abrupt with patrons. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what the issue may have been. Having worked in various restaurants in my past, a bad attitude does bode well for tips or return business. I had the roast beef sandwich (half), and it was plenty. Where's the Health Inspector when you need one? One of the cooks is carrying around a puppy and petting the thing while running the ovens. We brought this up to the cashier, who only gave us a blank stare. We only ordered coffees... they were not hairy or with specks of dendtrite. I always come here for the breakfast pockets (bacon and egg6 and croissants (ham and egg), both of which are awesome. And while I'm not a pastry guy, everyone I know is obsessed with theirs. Killer Cupcakes! This was my first time visiting Nancy P's Bakery. It is 0.1 miles from where we are staying in Bend. A sweet 3 minute walk! I loved the carrot cake cupcake, and my husband was pleased with his chocolate-chip- Chocolate cupcake! I managed to steal a couple of bites, the chocolate ganache was perfect, and the cake part of the cupcake was exquisite. I am grateful I got to check out this place today, and. Great Cobb Salad here, along with coffee, savory pastry, and cold drinks. Service is efficient (the kitchen was slow on the salad, but everything else was hot and ready by the time we paid. Atmosphere is prefect, comfy coffee house vibe with beautiful stained glass and framed photos for sale. We sat outside, under a tree--it was the perfect mid-September lunch in stunning central Oregon. We'll be back in the future. read more

Omg, the pockets!!! Went with the bacon and egg and wow, party in your mouth. The bread was chewy and delicious and the inside was the perfect breakfast combination. The bacon is thick and tasty!!!! I also love the inside art decor. Colorful, whimsical nature themed prints and stained glass. The staff was friendly, informative and gave excellent customer service. Nancy P's has potential, but after several visits the experience still feels off. The staff often seems disconnected, and one person in particular consistently comes across as smug. The food is fine -- not exceptional, but the layout is the most frustrating part. With two doors and a cramped interior, ordering and checking out turns into a bottleneck. Simply designating the north-side door as the entrance and the south-side (NW Milwaukee) door as the exit would dramatically improve the flow for customers and employees. Good spot, but not one I go out of my way for. read more

We go up to Bend a couple times a year to visit family and I always look forward to walking to Nancy P's for breakfast or lunch. They are consistently delicious. Asked if I could get the #2 Gluten-Free 1/2 sandwich 1/2 salad lunch special. The owner told me we can't do a half a gluten-free sandwich. I said that's strange it's on your website. Very good bakery. I was blown away by the bagel which was completely covered with sesame seeds on all surfaces. The other bagel in the photo came from Backporch, the coffee shop we visited on the same trip. It also was very good, but I can't remember the name of the bakery (also local). I preferred the one from Nancy P's because it had the right balance of salt. Their other baked goods were also very good particularly the raspberry scone, which was fantastic. Very buttery, not sweet except for the fruit, just the way I like it. read more

We lucked out on the area of our lodging as this cafe and bakery was right across the street. It felt like a small town local spot, despite being on a main road and easy to find. They had outdoor seating areas on the quiet street side, with more seating indoors. I loved the décor of local art and stained glass windows with bright natural light. We always needed coffee and light food to start our days in Bend; they had heartier panini sandwiches plus all the typical pastries, etc. The coffee was delicious, portion sizes large for the price. Bad attitude bad food rotten service. Overpriced tiny micro sandwich coupled with a luke warm soup in a plastic bowl that the Bethlehem homeless shelter wouldnt serve. I can not say enough wonderful things about Nancy P's! They provided dessert for our wedding weekend: pies for our welcome party, and bars and wedding cake for our reception. Everything was absolutely delicious and we got rave reviews. I can't remember all of the pies but my favorites were the strawberry rhubarb and key lime. For the wedding they cut their beautiful bars into halves and quarters so everyone could try little bites. The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious, cream cheese frosting and chocolate cake. They were able to accommodate gluten free and vegan guests as well! Such a joy to work with Katie and her team, they knocked it out of the park! The process was easy and a great value. read more

I'm visiting at Bend Oregon from Seattle. I came to eat some bakeries for breakfast around 8am. Parking lot was full but you can park across the street. I ordered warm Raisin Cinnamon Roll, Almond Croissant and Cappuccino. After waiting for my drink...already long lines. I find this to be a popular place. My cinnamon and almond croissant are light taste and not so sweet. Cappuccino is a great flavor. I enjoyed watching the customers and dogs. Love that atmosphere here. read more

Other items we ordered included the pistachio croissant, peanut butter brownie, Brie and fig jam baguette, jalepeno cheddar scone, and seasonal bread pudding. Everything was a chef's kiss! This is my favorite bakery in Bend, and may be one of the best bakeries in Oregon. Every item I've ever had has been perfect, from the croissants to the cupcakes to the banana bread (not too oily!) to the rolls to the everything else. It's very annoying that they don't take cards because I always want to buy about a million dollars worth of baked goods, but I usually at least get the galette (literally to die for. I would literally die for it) and one other thing. The staff are nice, too, and there's room to sit down and enjoy your snack without it being too much of a hang out kind of spot. read more

As a Nancy P's fan for years, I knew they were who I needed to go to for my wedding pie table.The pies were a HUGE HIT. We got 17 pies (Peach, Strawberry Rhubarb, and Marionberry), brownies, PB fudge bars, and lemon bars and I have never seen wedding guests so excited for dessert. The new owners, Tommy and Katie, dropped everything off in Sunriver and most of the pies were still warm. The owners are super nice, helpful and really wanted everything to be perfect for me. Nancy P's has a European flavor. The pastry items are outstanding. The lunch sandwiches and salads equally good. Their homemade scones are the best in Bend. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. Customers can purchase entire cakes and pies. All of this for very reasonable prices. read more

Tricia provided inspiration photos and specifically requested elegant white and green piped lily-of-the-valley cookies. What we received looked nothing like what I ordered. Instead of hand-piped cookies, she received cookies with what appeared to be printed images that lacked the detail, craftsmanship, and aesthetic we had paid for. They were completely different from the agreed-upon design and not appropriate for the event we had envisioned. Tricia reached out to the baker by email to try to resolve the issue, but never received a response. After being unable to get any communication, my sorority sister had no choice but to file a dispute with her credit card company. The credit card company investigated the transaction and ultimately ruled in my sorority sister's favor, refunding the purchase. This wasn't just about cookies. It was about trusting someone with an important milestone that could never be recreated. She ordered months in advance, communicated expectations clearly, and paid a premium price expecting premium work. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business. --- When a customer spends hundreds of dollars months in advance for a custom order tied to an irreplaceable life event, they deserve communication, professionalism, and a product that resembles what was promised. Unfortunately, we experienced none of those things.
