A very hip, modern coffee shop in the heart of downtown Bend. I have been to Thump Coffee many years ago and love it. It is still just as good. The coffee here is wonderful as is their House Chai. The service is very friendly and helpful. We were hungry, so we ordered several pastries to share. I'm not sure if they bake these in house, but whoever bakes them deserves an award. These were some fantastic pastries. Their bagels are a standout. Crispy on the outside and really soft on on the inside. The Jalapeño cheddar bagel was amazing. I also loved their Pesto tomato danish, the orange cardamom muffin, and jalapeño cheddar scone. The scones were not dry at all and had such a good texture and flavor. was able to order a single origin ethiopian iced latte here and it was the best coffee i've had in years. like wow, they really know what they're doing here and the quality of the coffee is superb. my friend also got some pistachio pastry and a breakfast sandwich which they enjoyed, i had a bagel with cream cheese and it really was so yum. this friendly guy in front of line paid for our entire order, i guess it's just that bend oregon generosity and love. blessed. they sell cute little stickers here and i regret not buying one haha. will surely come here again if i'm ever in bend! read more

Thump Coffee has been my go to since I first discovered the downtown location 13 years ago. Great coffee and great people. The Grove is my "home" location now and I love everything about it! Same delicious roasts and warm, welcoming crew. Meg, Mel, and Maddy greet every customer with a smile and a genuine welcome. I come in several times a week with my teen granddaughter and they always ask how she's doing with school or her sports-it lights up her mood! The bakery goods are delicious (Breakfast Sando is amazing) and the drinks all made with care and consistency. Love the cold brew and the Chai (hot or cold) is the best around. When we walked in, I could tell that this place was special. There were plants hanging from the walls, the coffee beans looked like artwork, the whole place was amazing. The woman working at the front was the nicest person I've ever known at a coffee shop. I got a vanilla latte, five stars, in the first sip. I also got a plain bagel, and it tasted the exact opposite of plain. So many flavors, in one bagel. A little disappointed as a "premier" coffee roaster, I cannot get a drip or pour over of most of their blends or SO roasts. Only two available in a brewed carafe. Thump is a great local cafe. While I was there (7am on a Friday), I saw no less than twelve people walk in who were on a first name basis with the baristas. Additionally, our barista gave us a coupon for a free 12oz drink because it took more than five minutes for us to get the breakfast sandwich, it didn't seem like a long time to me but that is just good service. The music was tasteful and not too loud which helped cultivate the calm and pleasant ambiance. The pastries were delightful, so good in fact that I was unable to get a photo due to my inability to delay taking a bite as soon as we sat down. We had the ham and gruyère croissant and the plain croissant. The breakfast sandwich was great; the homemade English muffins were dense but not heavy, the bacon was perfectly thick and crispy, the egg was well done, and the pesto mayo tied it all together. The Latte was solid, I regret not trying the syrups which I found out were homemade after I had ordered, it seemed as though everyone who ordered after me got the cardamom syrup in their drinks. My girlfriend got the hemp milk latte, unsweetened. She is a matcha snob and was pleased with her order, which is a rarity for coffee forward places such as Thump. Absolutely by far one of my favorite coffee places in Bend. Well I typically go to the other location, the staff here was great, and the coffee shop really did have that laid-back vibe that I've grown to appreciate from Thump. I went here in the afternoon to grab a quick cold brew. Both barista's were very kind to me, asked me about my day and even try to make suggestions for coffees and day old pastries. Honestly, it's just a great feeling in this place. They're a cold brew is strong. If you don't like strong cold brew, avoid this. But I absolutely love the flavor and the strength because I can always add some water or some milk to make it exactly the way I like it. This place is just incredible and by far one of my favorite places to grab cold brew. read more

On our last morning in Bend before hitting the road, my husband and I walked over to Thump Coffee from our hotel. I was surprised to see a line out the door so early on a Sunday morning, but apparently everyone had the same idea as we did. Luckily, the line moved quickly, and the staff were extremely kind and friendly. I decided to try their Madagascar vanilla mocha with oat milk, iced. My husband just ordered a classic Americano. I have never tried a vanilla mocha before which was made with white chocolate, but it was absolutely delicious. They had both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of cool merchandise. The ham and cheddar scone blew me away. It was so moist, so flavorful I could taste every element the ham and the chives and not a single dry crumb, moist all the way through each flaky layer. Almond croissant was tasty and flaky as well, My chai was smooth and delicious. The line was long on a Friday morning and definitely took a bit of time but that's ok we weren't in a rush. Great equipment is great coffee and great people putting it together so you really get a winner of a drink for the standard drink price. these days coffees are always gonna be crazy expensive. You have to realize that. The best thing you can do is to find the spot with the best product because the price is gonna be the same across-the-board.. As coffee lovers all, we made an effort to try a bunch of different roasteries while visiting Bend. As it turned out (we didn't initially notice), Thump Coffee ended up being the beans that many other coffee shops use, so it was fun to visit one of their physical locations one morning. This location is in Downtown Bend and in a really cool area around an alley with outdoor cafes, restaurants, an art cinema, and brewery/wine tasting room. You could start and enjoy a good chunk of a day right here. The morning we visited, it was busy, with every table full of people either working or just enjoying their breakfast. The two baristas were both immediately friendly and welcoming, asking what we'd like. They had overflow seating in the shared building's atrium, so we sat there to enjoy our coffee and breakfast. I had a savory scone and iced black coffee - this was probably my favorite cup of the trip; roasty, bitter, and delicious. A great little coffee shop across from where I was staying. I walked past a few times and wanted to try it out, and my mistake was not trying it out sooner! A cute little spot that has a decent amount of indoor space, it was packed, so it must be a good spot if everyone else was grabbing a coffee. Due to how many people were there, the coffee did take a bit to make and get to me. I ended up getting the hazelnut latte with oat milk and it was the perfect balance of sweetness (mind you I don't like my coffee to be overtly sweet) with the bitterness of the espresso. Interior cafe was a little older aesthetic with tables good for one on one chatting or individual/partnered work. Always a fun experience and tasty coffee when I visit this shop. Servers are all pleasant and pay attention to their customers and products they prepare and serve. The ambience is also good. The background music can be a little disruptive if you plan to hold any kind of virtual meetings but there are additional seating areas just off tot he side with plenty of privacy. read more

The menu has specials and classics, plus they also offer glassware if you don't want plastic. We tried the Belgian Mocha, mushroom tart, and a classic oatmilk matcha latte with a bagel.
