My favorite coffee stops in Bend. Sill Vibrato is located in the lobby of The Hixon. Don't be fooled by its location, this place makes super tatsy coffee. Friendly staff, and plenty of parking. Come, sip, enjoy!

A small selection of roasted coffee, and baked goods. I will certainly return for more.

Once you figure out its location within The Hixon apartment lobby, you are welcomed with an airy interior and plenty of seating. They even have a garage door for an indoor/outdoor feel. I was recommended a chai with their alternative milk black sesame almond and holy umami. The things people come up with for alt milks are just out of this world. I think I found a new spot to get my chais in Bend. I'm sure the coffee is just as good as the person in front of me was a regular who ordered a drip.

Really solid latte and love that there's a non-dairy option other than oat/almond/soy! That option is hazelnut...NOT the black sesame that you see in some older reviews. Admittedly, I was really bummed about this. Black sesame when I absolute favorite things and this was a very large part of my decision to come here today. But overall, not disappointed as the flavor of the coffee is really good, and plenty of spots for catching up with people as well as an entire window bar of seats to get work done at and then a really great area outside with Adirondack chairs

Hidden gem. This coffee shop is tucked away in The Hixon building so with parking and easier shops nearby it's not always on my path but it's always a quality latte and good energy. The matcha here is a favorite. Nice open coffee shop, works well for a change of scenery to get some work done. Service is friendly and pretty quick.

A quick Google search for coffee on way home after hiking South Sister brought me here. A little hard to find but glad we perseveredQuite possibly the best cardamom lattes I've ever had! (Friends' spicy lattes were excellent too). Rich, creamy, and not too sweet! My new go to coffee place whenever I'm in Bend.

Great location with sometimes challenging parking, but early AM is a good bet. Excellent espresso made by craftspeople who get it. None better in Bend. Enjoy!

Brought home some of the top hat beans, and the Crema was amazing on my espresso maker at home

This place is extremely difficult to find. It's in a breezeway and there is not really even a sign that you can see while driving. I called and somebody just said "hello "and didn't even identify the business. I had to try really hard to find them, but it was totally worth it! Amazing quality coffee super nice stuff and the beans I brought home for my own espresso maker are incredible. Highly recommended

Easily the best coffee in Bend! Staff are great and service is perfect! Cafe Ambience is ideal for working at, meeting a friend or just passing through to get a coffee! I'll be back everyday while I'm in town

Located in an apartment building complex. Beautiful space with ample lux seating. Drinks were excellent in the middle of an Oregon heatwave! House made milks are a fine touch. Friendly service.

With so many coffee options in Bend, this is one not to miss. Amazing coffee, great flavor & milk options, the nicest baristas, and the best pastries from Foxtail Bakeshop. 6 stars if I could. Bonus points: the dog watching here is top tier since it's located in an apartment building lobby with puppers constantly coming and going.

Worst customer service I've ever seen, the workers were rude and prissy, very unhappy with this place.

It's very conveniently located within walking distance to the rest of downtown Bend. It can get pretty packed, and seating isn't always guaranteed, but if you have time to hang around, the atmosphere is well worth experiencing. There's a bar-style seating area where locals seemed genuinely settled in, giving the shop a true neighborhood feel. I ordered a large Belgian Mocha, which was rich in flavor while not being overly sweet. The espresso was definitely still there, so the drink was beyond just a dessert vibe. Service was friendly and efficient, with my drink ready in just a few minutes despite the crowd. Overall, this is a lively downtown coffee spot best suited for those who want quality drinks and don't mind a local crowd.

I looked around for something similar, but less the cardamon and came across Cafe des Chutes. We visited at 9 am on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded at all, with only a single person ahead. They have plenty of seating and I think most people decide to eat their treats in the cafe; we had to hit the trail though, so we got ours to go to eat while hiking. Mango Sticky Rice Honey Glazed Croissant ($6.25) - Woah, this is an exceptionally sticky pastry, so sticky it's actually a little cumbersome to eat since the glaze spreads on any surface it touches and becomes very difficult to remove. The glaze tastes just like fresh honey - in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it were mostly honey. There's not much mango flavor until closer to the center, along with another flavor of something very fragrant almost flowery They sprinkle coconut flakes on top, giving a somewhat fruity flavor. The croissant itself is very good - great crust, nicely flaky and crisp with a great texture on the interior, chewy and airy. The lamination seems to be good based on a cursory inspection, but I didn't have a sharp bread knife on me for a clean cut as I usually do. The pastry is very sweet and the glaze covers up the flavor of the croissant entirely. (5/5) Oregon Roll ($6.25) - This base, on the other hand, is really buttery, combining the great lamination, crispy and flaky, with great flavor. There's a fantastic honeycomb texture on the inside combined with the perfect chewiness. They do add a marionberry swirl on the interior, which is pretty obviously included in terms of color, but can't really be tasted on top of the croissant butteriness. On top, they spread a spiced hazelnut glaze, sweet and nutty, almost like peanut butter in texture mixed with butter. Delicious pastry overall. (5/5) Savory Bread Pudding ($10) - This is a super dense and heavy (in weight) bread pudding baked in a muffin mold. They offer to heat it up and it's a really good idea to eat this warmed. We opted to get it cold since we weren't going to eat it for a couple of hours (for a picnic lunch) and it basically wasn't edible, with super dense, bitter and stale tasting bread, making it hard to even stick a fork into the top. We ended up waiting until we got to the hotel room to heat it up the next morning for breakfast, which made it much more palatable. There's some mushroom essence with tons of black pepper and a dense yet pleasingly chewy bread. Cheese is baked on top and there's a little vegetal bitterness from spinach. Not rating this since we ate it the next day. Overall I enjoyed my treats from Cafe des Chutes. I would visit again the next time I'm in Bend. Bathrooms - Tiny room near the front. The water heater takes up some of the space inside, so it's quite warm in the room
