Absolutely love the vibe in this place. Clean location, kind people, and decent coffee. Went here around 9:30 AM to grab some coffee. Was greeted by two of the kindest and friendliest baristas. They want me through the menu and told me everything I needed to know about their cold brew, espresso, and even a new product called flash coffee. I ended up getting a simple cappuccino. The drink was fine, the coffee was a little bit on the weaker side and didn't carry much flavor. All in all, the location and the service is really the reason for this place. The coffee was just OK.

The lavender latte is always my go-to drink. I loved theirs. Such a nice treat to have while walking around the Bend farmers market.

Talking with locals who love coffee, Backporch comes up a staple that expanded. This location is in downtown Bend and feels geared toward a business crowd in the local area. Having visited a few other locations, this one just didn't feel as comfortable, with a cold vibe and bright lights. Their coffee however is consistently good; they offer a number of different roasts which information about where they come from. They offer many other bags of beans to go; plus other drinks and light pastries and breakfast items. Prices are on par with other smaller roasteries; for the quality it's worth it. They have a number of small indoor tables, but it seemed like most people got things to go. If you're in the area and craving genuinely good coffee, this is a great option. The servers were friendly and super efficient with orders.

5th coffee spot tried while visiting Bend and this was one of the better ones. Cute little location downtown and had nice interior decoration. Cool artwork, quiet ambiance on a Sunday afternoon. Enjoyed my Americano. Wished some of the shirt designs they had in frames were available for sale.

Have to say I was a little thrown off by my order here being $8. I ordered a medium iced chai with a shot of espresso. Firstly, the medium size seems tiny. Second, the price being so high when the chai comes from a syrup pump is funny. The flavor of the chai is very spicy and kinda gingerbread-y, it's a little much for me. If my drink were like $5 I probably wouldn't care but the fact that it was so expensive makes it not worth it. However, since this was my first time and I only tried one thing, I don't want to give a lower rating since this might've been a one-off experience. The shop itself has plenty of indoor seating and a really nice interior, as well as outdoor seating. The service was fine. If I were back in the area I'd consider coming back to try something else, but I'd probably rather just walk down the street to Thump.

Always going to get good coffee... Some people always have a checklist when you travel around on the weekend and one of ours is to try and get something new and interesting to share as we walk along. This was one of two places that stood out. We ended up trying both, and to be honest both of them were very good. They just offered two very different ideas of what a unique drink look like. Both of my gray coffee and this place stood out more in my opinion because of their combinations and what they put together as a signature drinks. It was great great ambience, clean bathroom, which is always a plus when you're out and about. Lots of seating room, friendly staff everything was quick and it was pretty slammed that weekend being that it's the arts festival. Grabbed a latte. Had a great time charged our phones. Got out of the heat and will definitely be coming back next time we're in Bend.

Living in Seattle, we have so many options for coffee. That said- Oregon in my opinion, blows us out of the water! Back Porch Coffee was recommended to me by a friend in CA. He definitely knew what he was drinking. From my first sip, perfect temperature, perfect shot, perfect creaminess, and perfect atmosphere! One of my top five coffee places on the West Coast

This downtown coffee spot is highly recommended, but they serve only light and medium roasted drip coffee, which disappointed this dark roast fan. Nice selection of baked goods, including bagels, scones, and slices of breakfast breads. We enjoyed all the baked items ordered and were grateful the banana bread didn't have nuts.

another cute coffee shop in downtown bend. Big open floor plan. Clean. Minimalist decor. Friendly service. All the alt milks - oat, hemp, almond, coconut, etc and lots of different espresso. had the nitro cold brew and it was tasty. Glad they had simple syrup as I like a little cream and sugar in my coffee. The coffee is robust for those that like deep rich flavor. They also have kombucha for people looking for something other than coffee.

Great coffee and tea! I also ordered an oatmeal raisin cookie that was heaven in my mouth.

I have done the circuit with Bend coffee houses, Backporch is a great place to bring a laptop and work or simply surf and shop.

Slow Service, took them 10 minutes to make an easy drink. And it's not my fault they can't do more than one drink at a time.

Both drinks were smooth and balanced -- the matcha was creamy, not bitter at all, while the lavender latte had that perfect floral hint without overpowering the coffee.

It's very conveniently located within walking distance to the rest of downtown Bend. It can get pretty packed, and seating isn't always guaranteed, but if you have time to hang around, the atmosphere is well worth experiencing. There's a bar-style seating area where locals seemed genuinely settled in, giving the shop a true neighborhood feel. I ordered a large Belgian Mocha, which was rich in flavor while not being overly sweet. The espresso was definitely still there, so the drink was beyond just a dessert vibe. Service was friendly and efficient, with my drink ready in just a few minutes despite the crowd. Overall, this is a lively downtown coffee spot best suited for those who want quality drinks and don't mind a local crowd.

Additionally, our barista gave us a coupon for a free 12oz drink because it took more than five minutes for us to get the breakfast sandwich, it didn't seem like a long time to me but that is just good service. The music was tasteful and not too loud which helped cultivate the calm and pleasant ambiance. The pastries were delightful, so good in fact that I was unable to get a photo due to my inability to delay taking a bite as soon as we sat down. We had the ham and gruyère croissant and the plain croissant. The breakfast sandwich was great; the homemade English muffins were dense but not heavy, the bacon was perfectly thick and crispy, the egg was well done, and the pesto mayo tied it all together. The Latte was solid, I regret not trying the syrups which I found out were homemade after I had ordered, it seemed as though everyone who ordered after me got the cardamom syrup in their drinks. My girlfriend got the hemp milk latte, unsweetened. She is a matcha snob and was pleased with her order, which is a rarity for coffee forward places such as Thump. Stop at Thump if you're in Bend.
