When it comes to coffee, I am a late bloomer. Traveled to Oregon, made my way around the entire state, trying out different coffee shops here and there. Very good coffee in Oregon but so far my favorite is Belataza (spelling?). I have found that the different coffee stands using this brand rubs me the right way! My favorite was while I was driving through Bend, Oregon, I found a bright little place called the "Flying Frog" I don't know how they came up with the name but they serve Belataza (again, spelling?) and they have made the best almond breve that I have ever tried, most coffee shops, you taste the milk/cream but not the coffee, at the Flying Frog there was excellent balance. The lady who made the drink was exceptionally nice and after she handed me the coffee, she made me try it and told me, "if you don't love it, it is free and I will make you another one!) She said this with such enthusiasm and after I tried it, Whoah, super tasty, great balance, left smiling! In my future travels, a definite must stop, The Flying Frog! When I find a place that has excellent customer service I really stick with that place and remain loyal. I really love how when I go to get my coffee I am greeted with a smile and an excited "good morning" Even when I have been in the middle of the busy rush hour. If I were in the coffee shack I probably wouldn't have the patience to be so friendly, I would be too stressed out. It's amazing to see people handle pressure with smiles on their faces. Flying Frog really goes all out for their customers to make them happy. Even when they ran out of the popular chocolate chip muffins when I really craved one, Jennifer apologized and smiled, cracked a joke and made me laugh. And made me feel like I was important to her. This little coffee hut rocks! The service is awesomely friendly. They serve up one of my favorite drinks! It's a lavender, hemp milk latte. Yummy nutty flavor with a hint of sweetness. It's not your average hut. The drinks are perfectly balanced between coffee and sweet. You know how most drive throughs are too sweet? Jennifer has got it down! I am impressed with the quality of the espresso and how smooth it is. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was huge!. Egg, bacon on fresh baked bread, no skimping here. I was full and wired for work. Next time I'm trying it on a Rockin' Daves bagel. The hut is all decorated up cute and colorful. Really professional branding. I love coffee and in Central Oregon it seems Dutch Bro's kind of pushed out the moms and pops and Dutch Bro's coffee is very mediocre. Thankfully to my surprise, I drove by a new coffee shop one day, catchy sign and decided to stop in to the Flying Frog. Hands down, great coffee! The owner not only beautiful but extremely personable, always making sure you love your coffee and their guarantee, "if you don't love it, it's free!". I am always paying for my coffee because it is fabulous! The owners son works there from time to time and he is a riot, super friendly, polite young man with attention to detail. I recommend The Flying Frog and if you have anything negative to say about their product, their service, you must be an unhappy person because every time I leave the Flying Frog, my day is better. I go to Flying Frog Coffee three times a week and every time I go I notice the creative colors of the humble business, and then I'm greeted with a smile every time! I am always kept constantly engaged by the young man working there and am thrown by how fresh of a smell always seeps through the window as if I am smelling my personalized coffee as they make it! I am always left with a smile on my face and a coffee in hand. One time it wasn't made quite right as all great places can't be %100 all the time. And with no offense they made me exactly what I needed, even though the coffee was fine they didn't even hesitate to amaze me. I went back to Flying frog at the beginning of September . .... I had a handful of bad experiences but I wanted to give them another opportunity to impress me . They're coffee is still PHENOMENAL and I'm happy to state that their customer service has improved. What a great turn around. I've been there a couple more times since and they are consistent. I travel through Bend about once a month to go to Portland and when I do I stop by The Flying Frog. I stop there because I like the coffee but I like the service most. I recommend stopping in there any time you go to Bend. I wouldn't go out of my way for any other coffee but theirs. read more
