    Chicken Tikka Masala

The place was absolutely dead but we got our food super quickly which was great, did seem like they only had one guy working. I got chicken tikka masala and it was delicious, the amount of food you get is incredible considering it's not too pricey. Service could've been better, but once again, only one guy working.

I really want to find a good Indian spot in A2 and had high hopes seeing the reviews. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with medium spice for $16 incl rice. Portion size was decent. Everything about the dish lacked flavor. The curry was runny and tasted like nothing. The chicken was tender but again, had no seasoning. I cannot stress enough how inauthentic and bland this dish was. It tasted nothing like the tikka masala I've had from other Indian restaurants. What a horrible disappointment. Will absolutely never order again.

Still good! But unfortunately, didn't have the best experience tonight. My partner and I were raving to our buddy about this place and the three of us decided to grab dinner here. It's Saturday, busy night! Took awhile to get seats to dine in, but it was fine, we were excited for the food. Finally seated after about 5 minutes, we didn't get our menus, but it's okay, we already know what we're going to get... except, the waiter didn't come to us for another 15+ minutes. A big group of people were seated way before us and had their orders taken right away. I was waiting for him to finish taking their order so I can tell him we (been) are ready as well. Another waiter saw us and was apologetic about not bringing us a menu, but all good, it's been almost 20 minutes at this point, we're ready to order. All should be good! Nope, 2 out of the 3 dishes came out very lukewarm, and we ordered naan that didn't come out at all. We waited, until we were all done with our plates, and came to the realization that they have forgotten part of our order. We were still hungry but who knew how much longer it would take for the naan. Not worth it at this point. Our table was pretty much forgotten, warm food, missing item, no water refill. They were way busier compared to the time I was here last time; so I'll give them that. Not sure if I'll be back but food is still pretty good and priced fair for downtown AA.

I live near Namaste Flavors and every day I walk past and smell the aromas that drift out of the restaurant, and it makes me so hungry each time. I finally got to try it this weekend and I am impressed! I got the chicken vindaloo, and it really packed a punch heat-wise, but it was so flavorful and made the experience so much better. We also got the mughlai chicken, and normally, I'm not a huge proponent of putting tree nuts in food, but the curry was fantastic. It provided a nice relief from the spicy vindaloo, and it was so good that after we ran out of rice I was eating it on its own. Although the mughlai chicken wasn't spicy, by no means was it a mild flavor. Lastly, we got the mango lassi as I always do at Indian restaurants. The mango flavor was pretty dominating, which I loved, but it was also really thick, thicker than what I've had at other places, and this made the yogurt flavor a little stronger. However, I still thought it was delicious.

There aren't too many places that are open for a late dinner besides fast food which we've done already. We came across this restaurant since it closed at 10pm and decided to try it. There is street parking and a small lot as well. I saw on the menu that they offered dosa only to learn they were out of it. I am not familiar with Indian cooking but maybe they ran out of batter this late at night (around 8:30pm)? We ordered the chicken biryani mild (which the server placed as med), mughlai chicken mild and garlic naan. We asked if the dishes were spicy and they said they can cater the spice level. The menu doesn't have the usual red pepper emoji next to the dish to indicate if it is spicy. It is a very extensive menu. It was all good despite the spicy biryani and the chicken was tender. Service was decent. The restaurant decor was simple. It is in a house on a corner. We will return in the future to try out the dosas!

Absolutely, should be on your checklist if you enjoy good service/taste. I will be back very soon!

Pro tip: -they have carry out! -It's spicier than you think -get some naan bread on the side, it's cheap Comments: I sat outside to be safe (#covid), and I highly recommend it! There's plenty of outdoor seating on their patio, and it's a cute part of town. I ordered the Chicken Tiki Masala and it was so good. Great sized portion, and I couldn't even finish it all.

There was a dead bug in my samosa. Please avoid at all costs.

There was a dead bug in my food. Eat there at your own discretion. We left as soon as we got our bug-filled food, so cannot speak to anything else.

The 4 scallops were good but the potatoes were coagulated like it had been sitting there for quite some time and then it was $60!! A third of the check and I could only eat the scallops and snow peas. Our waitress was also aloof the whole time and barely came to check on us. She didn't ask how the food was or anything. I shared my opinion on the potatoes and nothing was done with the check or a discount. The outdoor patio was nice, But I don't think I would go back...

Wow. This place really raises the bar in every way possible…read more The drinks and desserts are the best I have had IN MY LIFE. Yes that's right. My husband said he had the nest hazy ipa of his life here too. A wild claim for foodies like us. They offer takeout in case you don't feel like crowding inside. AND they have the only pickle plate appetizer I have been able to find in the state of Michigan. Oh how i have missed these house pickles in different brines. The bartenders are not only incredibly talented and knowledgeable, they are friendly, cool, and so interesting! I think every single bartender I talked to over there had these attributes, and some even went above and beyond that too. I know, hard to believe, and the price tag matches. At least they are neither under or overrated? I come here for the bar atmosphere, the impeccable drinks and desserts and sometimes a snack. I prefer to go elsewhere for fresh oysters and dinner.

Phenomenal Dessert and Solid Tapas, But the Main Missed the Mark…read more Came here for dinner and experienced a bit of a mixed bag. The smaller plates and dessert ranged from good to absolutely stellar, but the heavier main courses left a lot to be desired. Service was very excellent and the ambiance was a perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. The Standouts (5/5) Goxua: Absolute perfection. This dessert was phenomenal, beautifully executed, and easily the highlight of the entire meal. Do not leave without ordering it! Patatas Bravas: Stellar. Perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and the sauce was spot on. Tuna Tapas: Served with shallot and serrano. Incredibly fresh, beautifully balanced, and another major win for the table. The Middle of the Road (3/5 - 4/5) Katsu Tapas: Quite good (4/5), with solid execution and great texture. Croquetas: Just okay (3/5). They lacked that rich, distinct flavor you usually look for in a traditional croqueta. The Disappointments (2/5) Turkey/Chicken Meatballs: A big miss. They were noticeably under-seasoned and lacked depth. Señorito Paella: For a dish that should be a showstopper, this was very underwhelming. It was light on the seafood, and the overall flavor profile was just lacking. Overall Verdict: Go for the drinks, stick to the top-tier tapas (the Patatas Bravas and tuna), and make sure you save room for the Goxua. Skip the meatballs and the paella.

The soy based dressing was sweet, slightly acidic, and not at all overpowering. Warm Chocolate Cake (4/5): Delicious cake with a warm, gooey inside. I personally don't like coconut or chocolate and fruit desserts, but I still enjoyed this a lot. Creme Brulee Tasting (4/5) : Green tea, pumpkin spice, and ginger creme brulees. Their ambiance is really nice with saxophone music playing, unique wall paper, and pretty lights. Our server was really friendly and helpful. I will say, my plate had a stain on it when I first sat down so I asked for a fresh one. The waitress let us know that typically dinner takes a whole of 1.5 hours. She said she times it based off of how we eat. For example, she brings the drinks and appetizers out first and then once we finish that, she brings the salad or soup. And then from there, she brings the entree's. Their beignet bread was delicious with the garlic butter (I even asked for seconds later on)!! Their salad was also really tasty (I got the lemon dressing one) and it comes with croutons that are just like the beignet bread but made in smaller sizes and slightly crispier. We enjoyed calamari and fig with bacon appetizers. Everything was very tasty! We will definitely return! Bathroom was clean but the seat was just super low (like for a child). We parked at the nearby lot and it cost $9 for about 2 hours.
