    Warm Chocolate Cake

I first came to Pacific Rim in 2017 and as a college student, I thought their Thai Style Calamari was amazing and such a great start to date night. Now in 2026, I visited again and I still believe the same thing. Honestly, I'd come here just for the calamari and warm chocolate cake.

We went to the Valentine's Day 5 course prix fixe and it was delicious! I especially loved the lobster and scallop shu mai and the wine pairings. Great romantic ambiance and great service.

Springs Saigon Spring Rolls weren't bad pretty amazing.

Creme Brulee fights are super tasty. My favorite thing! The Southeast Asian Crabcakes are pretty solid! Champagne can't go wrong!! The Korean-Marinated Ribeye is different tasting than the normal, however it's still pretty good. Springs Saigon Spring Rolls weren't bad pretty amazing.

A custom Manhattan, prepared just for our group. Best Manhattan I've ever had.

I dined here along with my coworkers as part of an annual company retreat. We had a room towards the back of the restaurant that had sliding panels for privacy. The server assigned to us was very kind and helpful. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly. The core of the place itself is interesting and elegant, with very dim lighting for a great ambience. The big mixologist prepared two different cocktails just for our party. He was inspired by what we do as a company. I thought it was a nice bit of attention to the detail. I had the Manhattan from the two options, and it was one of the best Manhattans that I've ever had in my life. I usually stay away from these drinks because they're a bit on the bitter side for me, but this one was just excellent. Let's get to the best part... The food. Everything from the starting courses to the main course was absolutely delicious. The flavors were phenomenal. All the ingredients felt and tasted fresh. I had the steak, but kept hearing nothing but great reactions from my coworkers with their dishes.

Incredible food, I would definitely visit again. It's a great restaurant to eat at for special occasions. The tuna tatare was perfectly seasoned; it had a flavorful blend of salty, umami, and a tang of lime. The Seared Big Eye Tuna had a good hint of wasabi but it did build up over time. However, it was still very delicious! The Japanese Style Sablefish was both savory and sweet, whatever sauce they used paired really well with the fish. I'm also usually not a fan of vermicelli but I absolutely loved how it tasted in this dish. The waiters are quite knowledgeable of the menu and are very enthusiastic to inform guests on their recommendations!

Had the pork belly appetizer and tuna tar tar. Also, had the Korean ribeye. Food and service was excellent.

One of my favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor! Delicious Asian fusion-y dishes. Nice meal in a warm and approachable environment. I haven't tried a dish that I haven't enjoyed here. Some of my favorites: - Roasted Pork Belly (starter) - Southeast Asian Crab Cakes (starter) - Saigon Spring Rolls (starter) - Korean-Marinated Rib-Eye (amazing!!) - Japanese Style Sablefish (soo buttery and melts in your mouth) - Creme Brûlée trio tasting for dessert!! This time I tried their Samsin cocktail, and very much enjoyed! And such a pretty color. If you like a spicy smoky mezcal drink, you'll like this one. Also I'm not really sure how they do it, but they feel like one of the only nicer restaurants to not increase their prices a lot these past few years or reduce portion sizes. They've become pretty good value for a nice meal, and I've always thought they had among the best deals for restaurant week for what you get.

Due to the graduation ceremonies, the restaurant had a three-course fixed-price menu. Reservations had to be pre-purchased a couple months in advance. Knowing the number of customers who would be dining tonight, they should have been well-prepared. In general, the service was slow. Several drink orders were forgotten and the waitstaff had to be reminded. Another waitstaff accidentally served another table's drink order. The majority of the three-course menu came from their standard menu. I opted for the spicier dishes. Of the items chosen, the Thai Hot and Sour Soup does not appear to be on their regular menu and the crab cake is only a single piece. I enjoyed Southeast Asian Crab Cake especially with the cilantro-lime sauce. The hot and sour soup was unfortunately more sour than hot. The Korean-Marinated Ribeye had a number of slices which were just fatty pieces. Its chili sauce added flavor but very light on the spiciness. Luckily, I read the Warm Chocolate Cake required a 20-minute notice. Our waitress did not provide that warning. The cake was extremely rich which made the toasted coconut-Kahlúa ice cream a necessity. It was difficult eating the cake once the ice cream had either been eaten. For a premium restaurant, I was disappointed with the ambiance. There was a gender neutral restroom on the main floor. When that was occupied, I was told there was another downstairs. Although I could only find one other gender-neutral restroom, I really hope there were more than two restrooms in the entire restaurant. The toilet in the downstairs restroom would not flush properly. I made sure to inform an employee when I returned upstairs.

Food and service were great but nothing above and beyond the other nice restaurants in ann arbor for the price. The ribeye was my favorite dish.

I was excited to finally try this Ann Arbor staple. This is a very fish forward restaurant with lots of fresh options. however, if you want something like chicken, there are options on the menu. they also have many gluten-free options for our celiac friends. The cocktails are beautiful and delicious. I ordered the scallops and they were made perfectly not overcooked and served over greens and rice. Many other people I was with ordered sablefish. My friend let me taste some of hers, and that was very good. It was light and delicious. The inside the restaurant had a little bit of a retro vibe. It is clearly a place that the University of Michigan departments take candidates for dinner. I ordered ginger tea, and it was very refreshing. Although I did not eat any desserts the folks that ordered the crème brûlée seemed happy. I'm excited to come back and try new dishes.

Five Stars has to be earned. Pacific Rim has excelled and earns them repeatedly with every visit. Where to begin. I came here so many years ago, I loved it. Fast forward, I had food allergy/intolerances come up. I figured there was no way they could work with them. One day a month ago I decided to call on a whim. The man who answered the phone (Kyle) was friendly. I explained my allergies and he assured me they had worked with similar allergies before and there would be no issues. I basically ran there. We had the best server that evening. He was friendly, helpful, respectful and made me feel very welcome as opposed to difficult. He checked with the kitchen several times to make sure I would be safe ordering. I was even able to get an appetizer which never happens. We have been back many times since. The food is consistently amazing as is the service we have had. A month or so ago there was a delectable Grilled Octopus appetizer. It was so good we had to order two. I hope that it will be back soon so I can order it again. My husband loves the Thai Peanut Noodles. The Sable Fish is my favorite. I can't branch out as much as I wish because of my food allergies. We've brought friends in recently, so I have also included some of their dinners as they were delicious and beautiful to look at. The Calamari appetizer is delicious and it was perfectly cooked when I had it. My friends ordered the Crab Cakes which they devoured as well as the Coconut Curry Soup. They have a decent Wine, Beer and Cocktail menu. As well as their delicious Ginger Tea. If I had one small complaint it would be seating. Some of the tables are on top of each other which doesn't make for as pleasant of an experience when trying to have conversations. Or if you are someone like myself, who has health issues and needs to be cautious, yet still wants to be able to come in for dinner these days. Every time we come in I am already looking forward to my next meal here! Definitely a must if you haven't stopped in yet.

Booked a reservation in advance and it was the right call. This place does get busy and walking in might have you waiting. The service was impeccable. First round of drinks took some time by patience is a virtue that our society has forgotten. The Korean-Marinated Ribeye was delicious. Meat was tender, the vegetables had good flavor to it, and the meal itself all came together very well. I ordered a speciality cocktail that had whiskey in it (can't remember the name of the drink) and it came out sweeter/bitter than I expected. I switched to an old fashioned which complimented the meal and made my visit to Pacific Rim a splendid visit. If you are looking for an upscale Asian meal, Pacific Rim is the place to go and recommend you dine there!

After bothering us every minute for the next 5 minutes to order, me and my friend put in our orders in haste. We then waited for 30 minutes for our meals to arrive. I got the "Amazing Shrimp" sushi roll and my friend got the "Grilled Angus Short Rib". As noted on the menu it comes with Mashed Potatoes, Shishito Peppers, and Garlic Chives. Per my friend's request, the order did not come with the Shishito Peppers or Garlic Chives, but it also didn't have the potatoes. After asking for the potatoes, our server went back and we could hear her yelling at the kitchen staff. Minutes later she came out with a bowl of 3 potatoes, not mashed and not hot. My roll was great and I'd definitely order again if I come back, but I'm honestly not too inclined to after this experience. Lastly, the restaurant itself was freezing. It was a cold day but it was way colder inside than it should've been. We ended up keeping our coats on for most of dinner. I really do want to like it here because the vibe seemed very modern and clean, however the service, food, and level of professionalism fell short of my expectations.

The camaron didn't have any flavor and I even squeezed lime on it and it didn't help. The tofu was great there was so much flavor in the sauce and topping. The nachos were so good, the salsa verse was spicy and had so much flavor the chips were crispy and because they were a little in the thick side that they didn't get soggy at all.
