I almost didn't write a review on this gem to keep it to us, but that is selfish. We had our…read moreteenage great grandsons with a growing boy's appetite along with us when we had to check it out. They consume burgers in an inhale mode, so it was only fitting to watch the action. I had the big cheese squeeze with all the fixings plus wedges, boy 1 had the same less the fixings and fries, boy 2 wasn't feeling it so only had the 1/4 cheese with fixings and the wife the same both with fries. Of course, drinks. My drink selection was the root beer, not exceptional but the usual root beer. Hands down some of the best crispy, juicy, seasoned, well dressed, burgers on a bun that held up to these monsters around Ann Arbor or Ypsi. Fries and wedges work excellently alongside them. The mouth will want more of that taste, but it would be a little hard to get it down on a full stomach. The lady behind the counter was not only serving, cooking sides, handling phone ins, and drive pickups; she also managed a sense of humor and took a minute to make sure you were OK with everything. Make sure to tip like you mean it. Oh, almost forgot to mention the customers, everyone was there to enjoy the dinners atmosphere, good burgers and a little bit of that neighbor being neighbor's thing. Will be going back for sure. Stay safe out there Jack and Lynn

It's not the best burger, I have had, but without out a doubt this is the best value for your…read moremoney. Roy's is a cash only 50's style look, with a small seating area. I tried to order by phone on a Sunday right after church and they put me on hold and never got back to me. This time tried on Saturday around noon and they took my order. They asked what kind of car, I drove so I assumed they would bring it out but I ended up picking up my order inside no big deal. I ordered 1 Roy's big squeeze, a 5 pack of sliders with cheese, 1 pulled pork sandwich, and 1 order of onion rings, curly fries, and fried mushrooms all for $43. Fed 4 of us to the brim no problem. The burger was solid and for $8 it's about the same or cheaper than most fast food places except you are getting meat cooked fresh. They cook smash style burgers their grill adds a nice flavor. I can see why this is a local favorite at these prices hard to get this quantity and quality. I would come more often but the one negative is convenience, no guarantee they will take your phone order, cannot order online, and waits can be pretty substantial. If the opportunity arises definitely should come here for your burger fix.

Gave it a 4 in 2017, gets another 4 in 2025…read more I ordered this for delivery for my girlfriend and I. Just like in 2017, I ordered the Firehouse Burger with some add ons. It was great. I had some chili cheese fries along with it. Which, were just average. Tasted like the same stuff you'd get from any coney island around. But, it hit the spot. For my partner I ordered a house Got Burger for her, and she didn't have any problem eating all of it including the fries. We'll be back or order again, happy to see it's still in the area.

We just got done bar hopping depot town and we're perfectly famished. So we decided to stop by…read moresince most places around this "NICE PLACE", as the locals would call it, have their kitchens close hecka early. So this spot as the bartenders would say, would be one of the only spots to grab something to eat at. The venue is a little rough to put it lightly. Bulletproof glass partition, maybe for a good reason. Clientele was sketch, I'm sure they're good people, but still gives that heavy drug use vibe. Staff, was direct to the point. Not an issue, BUT, it's an open kitchen and I can hear all the conversation that the kids were discussing. I'm sure it's buddy talk, but openly talking about getting fellached or trying to get fellached just isn't proper when there are proper clientele in the dining area. My double Got burger was alright, nothing to brag about. The husband's mushroom burger was lackluster as well. It would probably be my last choice if ever I were to be in the area again. The only reason why is because they're open for business after 2am. Other than that, I'd totally skip it. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!

I asked Ray if I could stay inside and she graciously answered yes. I motioned my wife to enter as she has a hard time with stairs and was willing to wait until 10 AM, but came at my bidding. My wife order the Carne Asada fries and a fountain Coke. She love the fries. I ordered a double cheeseburger slider with bacon ( about $5 ) with grilled onions as standard. The bacon was PERFECT!! Chewy, but fully done; no white fat but opaque fully cooked! Awesome burger. 9 out of 10. I also ordered a raspberry shake. It was good ( 6 out of 10 ) and shared it with my wife. Maybe I am spoiled by super sweet chocolate shakes from White Castle. A pricey over $6. Perhaps skip this one or try a malt. I also ordered Chili Cheese Fries. Bless her heart, Ray cooked mine to perfection, well done fries, melted real sliced American cheese, and she put my chili in a side bowl as requested so I could dip the cheese covered ones on the chili ( I stirred in their hot sauce) and the few uncovered fries, dipped into my raspberry shake. Amazingly delicious. 10 out of 10 for each item: crinkle cut fries, coney beef chili ( NO BEANS!!! ) , and great cheese. Chili should NEVER HAVE BEANS!!! Finally I split a deep fried churro un-filled with cinnamon sugar. 7 out of 10. We took most of that home and I ate some during this review. One silly tiny note. The one unisex bathroom ( the restaurant only has 21 stool seats ) had only one working light bulb in the fixture out of 2 or 3. It was very dim like a seedy bar. I told Ray so hopefully it gets fixed soon. If that last bulb goes in there, I hope whoever is in there has their cellphone flashlight working. Finally the overall vibe is stainless steel lunch counter ( 1950's? ) with a deep kitchen. Seven short stools facing the street, Nine facing the kitchen and a very small tall table with Five matching tall stools. That lone table could be crowded with two customers food, but five? Better only have a beverage and one item, and that would be elbow to elbow. Shout out to Detroit Food Review for his October 3, 2025 review for here. That is how we found it. They do have a drive through if you do not want to climb the three stairs or use the ramp or if the restaurant is full inside.

The sliders are supposed to be really good, but I had their quarter pound new slider, which is actually more of a quarter pound burger as opposed to a slider. People are very friendly.
