Decided to finally stop in and try this business. Since we are in Ann Arbor for 2 weeks, we have tried to find a variety of options. I had an idea of what I wanted but once we got inside, I changed my mind. I ordered a green juice and I wasn't disappointed. The wraps looked delicious but they will have to wait for another visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only gripe would be how difficult it was to read the food and drink ingredients on the board . I'm 71 and I could pick out some of the ingredients. I looked for a paper menu but maybe I overlooked them. There is a dining area available . The prices seemed reasonable. read more

Since I'm from California, I'm all too familiar with the early days of the juice cleanse and açaí bowls. And you know what? I'm still really into it so Beyond hits the spot. I've been watching this complex and space get developed for the past year and was stoked that a juice spot was coming in. When I looked up Beyond (as I've never been), I was surprised by how rapidly they're expanding throughout metro detroit! Anyways, on my first visit, I went for the: *Açaí blueberry (smoothie base of Banana, Blueberry, Acai, Coconut H2O, and Honey. Topped with Coconut Flakes, Fresh Strawberries, and Grain-Free Granola (contains nuts, cinnamon, coconut, and honey) - I'm quite picky about my açaí bowls - the level of sweetness, the texture (can't be too watery but not too thick and not too sweet!), but Beyond's competes with the best açaí bowls I've had in Los Angeles and Miami! I also like that they don't use any juice in theirs as sweetener. *Verde juice (Cucumber, celery, kale, spinach, parsley, lemon). Solid green juice!! You can order with light ice or no ice. Note - they're still waiting for their wheatgrass machine. They also have tasty lunch options so I'll definitely be trying those soon! read more

The food is good, but the service isn't. They took 30+ minutes for 3 açaí bowls. I don't know if it was because we didn't tip them, but they served atleast 3 people before us. The ambiance of the place was good, but the workers were very loud and clearly lazy. Overall, wouldn't visit again. read more

I'm split on this one. The mango tango smoothie was good (but with coconut cream, pineapple, banana, and mango, how could it not be?). The Carlos detox smoothie was healthier, but too limey and sour for me. The cali chicken salad is another story: The salad tasted like a McDonald's salad to me, which means edible but lots of lettuce, some highly processed ingredients, and worst of all, many ingredients were mushy and not fresh - tomatoes were past their prime. (update: see the reply of this business where they said they only use romaine lettuce. It must've been romaine then). Either way: the lettuce was yellowed, and the avocado was brown-green. The balsamic salad dressing was also not good- while not terrible, it was more processed than a from scratch/home made vinaigrette. Maybe I got them on a bad day at the end of their produce life cycle.. but for that price and quality in a salad, I will plan to go elsewhere. read more

The food is just "Eh". After living in Arizona where there are açaí bowls places on every corner, i came back to Michigan to be pleasantly surprised that Ann Arbor had an Açaí place near me. Granted this is more of a juicery and health food stop but they do offer acai ! The options (just two) were limited and they don't even offer the most basic type of açaí bowl. I decided to try the cosmic dream and it was just ok. I've also had their seasonal salads and again, it's just okay. Definitely over priced but I kinda expected that with Ann Arbor. The staff are a hit or miss too. Sometimes they're nice. Other time they're pretentious. When I inquired about some nutritional questions I had about their food, they were clueless, which seems odd, considering it's a health food store. Overall I probably wouldnt recommend this place. Went to grab a late night smoothie exactly 35 minutes before closing. I just got done with an exam and was headed back to my apartment right next to the plaza this place is located. Smoothie was good, but the two staff working were talking about how annoying it is when customers come in later and did not greet or acknowledge me. One of them actually rolled her eyes at the sight of me and aggressively threw a trash bag on the floor because I walked in 30 minutes before closing. Probably won't come back to this location due to poor customer service. I understand you may want to go home and you're a college student but you're not getting paid to be rude and unkind to customers. read more

I expected more fall flavors but I felt like the smoothie was overpowered by banana taste and fruit peels which gave a kind of bad texture. I really really wish this place was good. Not even excellent, just edible. The Detroit location has a wrap that I actually crave, so when they came to AA, I was so excited. When they first opened, it was ok, not near as good as the Detroit location. I figured they'd work out the bugs. Last week, tried again - ordered two wraps and a smoothie. The smoothie was ok, but we each took one bite and decided it was the worst thing I've ever ordered from a restaurant. I'm not picky, but this wrap was gross. The tomatoes were the kind of old where they start to get a slimy white tint, the egg whites were filled with a juice that was so awful, I actually had to spit the food out of my mouth. $37 and we just threw it in the trash. We ordered a peanut butter mocha smoothie and a diy smoothie of strawberry/peach/orange. The 1st was missing the coffee and had large chunks of ice and the other tasted like old frozen fruit...it had that after-taste of frozen bagged fruit. The place looked clean and my order was finished when we arrived but the quality of the items is lacking. I expect and want to taste coffee in a smoothie that is suppose to have coffee in it. This is one of my favorite places to get a healthy lunch in Ann Arbor! I love their wraps in their smoothie bowls, they are always so fresh and tasty. I usually order ahead and every single time my food has been ready when I got there, and the staff is super friendly. The only thing I noticed is when I order green smoothies they tend to be a little foamy. Other than that, I really love the smoothies there and feel they are very fresh. Would recommend! read more

I've been waiting for them to open ever since I saw their sign go up in this new complex (note there is still some construction going on but don't let that deter you). After reviewing the menu online and talking with the super helpful staff (I asked a lot of questions), I decided to get Pookie's smoothie (Blueberry, Kale, Banana, Coconut H20, Vanilla Whey Protein). Really good protein shake! The building and inside restaurant are brand new and very clean. The fresh fruit on display had me feeling healthier from the moment I walked in. They have to-go juices and snacks, like peanut butter bites. There is also a nice patio outdoor seating to enjoy on nice days. They have wraps and bowls that I need to try so I'll be back soon. read more

A really solid spot. The meat is high quality, sauces are tasty, and the smoothies use real fruit as opposed to fruit purée or liquid cane syrup. I think next time I would order online instead of waiting in store for preparation because there was a high volume of online orders that made me end up waiting quite a while for my sandwich to be ready despite being the only one in the store. I am a big fan of Beyond Juicery. Today the chili was room temperature, but still tasted delicious. The juicer was broken so that limited some options. My smoothie was still good. I can't begin to express how horrible their service is. I've been going to Beyond for about 3 months, each time I go in my order is never right. So I go again hoping for the best, still horrible. So I ordered a smoothie and they failed to make it right, each time ordered it was worse than the other. Another time I ordered an avocado Turkey wrap and the avocado peel was in my wrap.. sick. Then a couple weeks later I ordered a avocado Turkey wrap; 1. They failed to have it ready on time, 2. gave customers who ordered after me their order first & the employee said " sorry, I forgot about your sandwich." Then, later that day I was vomiting & had horrible diarrhea for 3 days. They leave their meat out and do not refrigerate their veggies. The health department definitely needs to visit, because I can guarantee they will fail the test. It's ran by a bunch of high schoolers who lack customer service skills and a manager is never in site and can't even be contacted. Horrible! read more
